Never heard of this brand. When you put that balm on I was like holy redness! It looked like rosacea. This just seems like a lot of work for not much pay off. You made it work. I guess for summer it would work quick for people who don’t want tons of makeup.
I have a soft spot for Bobbi brown. I remember when she launched her first product - lipsticks - only at Bergdorf. They were the first that worked perfectly with my olive skin. I jumped on this new line but it’s hit or miss for me. The face pencils work perfectly for me as a primer for my very oily eyelids.
I’ve tried everything from this line and your review is on point. You gotta know your skin type before you get anything from the brand and your expectation of a “no makeup-makeup” look needs to be dialed back down by 5 notches. Lol. I’ve had a couple of years playing around with their products and yes the pencils are worth it, mascara, the brow pencil (it has little fibers in it), if anyone wants to try the shadow they are good; just get colors that can multitask for you: ie, the brown (great for brow touch ups, shadow and liner) or antique rose ( shadow and great color for blush), otherwise it won’t be reached for. Love your honesty.
I have always loved Bobbi Brown the MUA and Bobbi Brown the makeup. I am lucky that the only Jones Beauty store in the US is 40 miles from me so I visited last weekend. I love the Jones Road line and, if I'm being honest, I love the Miracle Balm side of your face so much more than the CT side. It actually looks younger!
Kind of seems like a lot of work, for a brand that is supposed to be simplified.
Hi Tara, I have been using Jones Road beauty for nearly a year and I love the Miracle Balm in the shades Dusty Rose and Flushed. I use them as a cream blush, I don’t apply all over my face. My skin is normal/dry so it’s loving the added hydration🥰. I totally agree with you about The Face Pencils they are sooo great and easy to use!! 😊 Have a great weekend!!

Nice review .. but this line is an easy pass for me..I have dry skin and still don’t want to shine like that and hair sticking it my face would drive me crazy..
It drives me insane! Lately my hair has static in it and strands will cling to my face. 😱

As an oily skin person (!!) should also add that I never use the MB under make-up; strictly on top!

I have wondered about the Miracle Balm and Jones Road. Thank you for this review.
I love the non fussiness of the miracle balms. I have three now and love them all! But I have dry skin and a pixie cut so my hair can't stick to it. It's great for a dewy look but definitely not for oily folks.
I have two Miracle Balms and I think I’d like one more shade because I SO love the Miracle Balm!! It is amazing for me. My hair doesn’t stick to it at all but I do a light dusting of powder foundation or a loose powder veil.

I’m glad you reviewed this line. I have bronze and dusty rose I the Miracle balms. I wanted to love these but they are very emollient even for my dry skin. I like to use bronze in a pinch over my spf in the summer for just running errands or at home. I want to get the face pencils one day to use them how you mentioned. Her sparkle wash eyeshadows are ok but you need an eye primer for sure. I’ve heard the eyeliners are nice. This is definitely a natural, no make up makeup brand.
I was hoping you would review Jones Road!!! Thank you for your thorough and thoughtful take on these products. I thought the miracle balm muddied up upon application but I also notice CT flawless filter doing the same thing. Maybe wearing the 4.5 would change things up a bit. I do have 4 of the miracle balms 2 of the sticks and I agree with your review. The way I wear it is alone just as a hint of color in no makeup days. Very emollient and yes hair does stick to your face but there is a healthy glow to your skin when you wear it and it does give you healthy look. You do need to really throughout the day and it has to be a very small amount

Well - I totally understand where you are coming from but, I absolutely LOVE the Miracle Balms! They are my Saving Grace but, I’m 62, farm and heat with wood. My skin is SO SO dry. I apply my makeup/foundation 1st, then I top off with Miracle Balm. And sometimes I even have to reapply!! Lol! I’ve tried just about everything in her new line and, being a Country Girl, I love, love, love the No Makeup makeup.
PS - the brown lip & cheek stick is a beautiful eyeshadow!!

Tara! Oh I am so glad you reviewed these products. I have been eyeing them and decided to finally purchase. I bought the balm in natural, dusty rose & magic hour. I also bought the sticks in shade 1 & 2. I watched A LOT of how to's from many folks and especially Bobbi Brown. I will say you hit the nail on the head, the balm is very emollient and best for dry skin. I have seriously dry skin and I also take a small amount, rub it between my palms and then press in, and I find for me that works awesome. I also have a pixie cut so ... ;) I also find that letting it sit for a bit, it soaks in with no issue, but circle back to dry dry skin. I did use powder at one point to experiment, and liked the result. Glowy is good but not so much as to be a walking flashlight. LOL The sticks work great with the balm, and other foundation, but have found not so good with some primers, unless it soaks in. May be my skin, but there ya go. I am intrigued enough that I may have to buy the darkest color of the balm, just to see how it looks as a bronzer. I did use magic hour as a highlight, and found after 10 min it soaked in and wasn't sticky. I have used them as a lip balm and love it - although, in hindsight..its A LOT of product just for a lip balm, but for those who have buyers remorse...it works great for lips , hands and running thru hair. Thanks for your insights. I have really dry skin so I can probably use these. I actually did a practice run for myself using a mixture of canola oil (which is in the Balms) and my foundation. For me, this dried down into my skin and kept me moist - which never happens. I wasn't tacky or sticky. I am now excited to try them, I just have to figure out what color will actually work for me...

I’ve been loving the Miracle Balm in the shade Dusty Rose as a cream blush. It’s not meant for all over the face. It’s pretty on the skin especially if you have normal/dry skin.

Tara I have many of these products too. I agree 100% with your assessment! I love BB herself and her philosophy on beauty and makeup, but this line leaves me wanting a bit more. Although I do like like the pencils very much❤️
I also have had this product line since it was released. I completely agree with your review. Great, honest, and real review Tara. You nailed the pros and cons of these balms. I agree it’s super emollient- almost too much. It also only lasts a few hours before “Hot mess” sets in lol. I think with this line it’s good to know what the “final look” is to have the right expectations before people buy the products. Also there’s a strong scent to these. Herbal/ orange-ish? Just another FYI to people scent sensitive. Thanks for always keeping it real! 🌸🌸

I bought the miracle balms and face pencil. Like you, I love the foundation sticks. I am on the fence about the miracle balm- I think because I am 51, I fit more of the skin demographic. They don’t look greasy on me if I am careful to not apply too much. I have like doing them as a primer with the face pencil like described in Bobbi’s videos.
I love that you are not wearing false lashes. Your natural lashes are beautiful. I'm personally so over all the false lash looks, lol...again MO ;)
I love Bobbi Brown products! She was the first department store high-end makeup brand I ever used, I even bought her books! I’m happy to see she has come out with a new line and I hope it continue to blossom because she is super talented. I think she always had a focus on more mature skin, so I’m not surprised she has a balm but it certainly is not for everyone. I was sitting here with baited breath while you applied that balm to your skin! I never thought the right color would develop. Yep, the balm isn’t for me. I don’t like sticking my fingers in stuff and when you said you had to stick your finger nail in the container, hmmm immediate no for me. I have the shortest nails, nope nope. The sticks seem interesting though!!!
The Jones Road line also sells a stainless steel spatula for only $10. Super sanitary. I love using it.
She has always been about the natural “you but better” outlook.

It looks to me that you may have applied to much balm on. Bobbi Brown says that if it’s too sticky or balmy it’s because there’s too much on. Just a thin layer to tint the skin but not give overall cheek color
Fantastic review. I am very interested in Jones Road, especially the Miracle Balm, even though most of the people I tend to watch who have talked about it don't like it... I'm just so curious about it. But I've been debating whether to buy it for over a year!
Love my face pencils and the miracle balm was great in winter, won’t be wearing it this summer IDT.. the eyebrow pencil is also fantastic!

I haven’t heard of this brand but it is interesting, not something for me but I like that it adds a twist. I do like how you found a way to use it & shared pro/cons, as per usual great review TL. Did you change your filming setup or change your lense/camera? It looks different & it looks amazing!
I love cream blush and only use cream blush. In my opinion the miracle balm is just nasty. What it lacks in pigment and longevity it makes up in its gross stickiness and very strong fragrance. Oh, my skin is quite dry. I can’t appreciate my hair sticking all over my face. I have a couple of her eye shadows and really do enjoy them. All I can tell people is, we all don’t like the same thing. You just have to try it for yourself. Thank you for reviewing this.
I have very oily skin and I’ve been using many Jones Road products. I noticed that the miracle bombs are absolutely not in anyway possible during the summertime but the cooler parts of the year I love using the bronze and Sunkissed on the perimeter of my face. However I highly recommend the lip and cheek sticks. I feel like they give beautiful color and you still can bronze the face with chocolate mocha. The face sticks are fantastic and the new “what the foundation” I cannot wait to try. also I love the brow pencil however I highly recommend getting a shade one step lighter than your brow shade. I have not used any of the powder eyeshadows but I do enjoy the just a sec cream eyeshadows. I noticed that her liquid eyeshadows and cream eyeshadows have shimmer in a way that is delicate and glassy not over the top but it’s great for people who are afraid of wearing shimmer. Her lipgloss is a pass it’s very minimally moisturizing and there’s nothing special about it. I love wearing the oh naturale miracle balm as a night mask my skin feels and looks amazing in the morning. The light moisture cream is definitely one of the best products I’ve ever tried. The eye cream is phenomenal. She’s amazing at formulating these products. I would love for her to come out with a powder for the face, oil free moisturizer, something similar to the enriched face base. Wouldn’t that be awesome! I’m not exactly on board when it comes to the credo list. I think a lot of that is completely unwarranted and many ingredients like mineral oil and petroleum are actually quite harmless and pose the least risk for allergic reactions. I wish she would educate her self just a little bit better. The list seems to limit them for making some thing even better. I wish she would make less balmy products because the majority of us don’t necessarily have extremely dry skin.

I love the face pencils too! Genius and I think maybe they are so undetectable on the skin is due to the clear base. No chalkiness or pigment left behind when it's blended. I have very dry skin and have the wt foundation..it's taken practice to learn the best way to use it but I like it. Also have the powder bronzer- beautiful. Blends like a dream even over cream products. Oh...and have one of her lip pencils..the perfect my lips but better shade ( mauve). Haven't tried the miracle balm though have the Bronze on order..hopefully it will work on my very dry skin..which is also light/medium so hoping it will give me a bit of a tint. Why make products that stick to the face? It's the last thing I want after applying my makeup.

Supposedly. But dang, it would have been a full blown disaster if I wore them together lol. Wearing it with the Foundation sticks is one thing, but using it with the WTF holy moly. I'm halfway through the video and wondering how the miracle balm wears on the body. It's such a huge amount of product to use up and I'm wondering if it would wear well on the legs over SPF 🤔

Lol. Anyway, your skin looked beautiful on both sides! Too bad it didn't work out for you, but, you look flawless! 🥰
My skin is normal to dry, and I bought two of the Jones Road balm in au naturel and in flushed. While they look good in the package, they are too thick. It is like wearing a mask of wax! I do not recommend this balm at all. I do recommend Dr. Bronner's Magic Balm, which is perfect. I highly recommend Honest Beauty Magic Beauty Balm, which is the best! I recommend Nivea Simply Soft and Nivea Vanilla lotions as they are favorites of mine and both are so gentle for the body and face. I recommend most all of the moisturizers in the Laneige line too. I was very excited to see that Bobbi Brown came out with a balm, and counted down the time it took to arrive. I was horribly disappointed. I have tried it with moisturizer and without, with foundation and without, with powder over top and without. I have experimented with using the smallest amount to a greater, but acceptable amount. My hair will stick to my face after using this Jones Road balm. It leaves my skin tacky and sticky, and the blush moves from the apples to the jawline and to the edge of my eyebrows! My eyeshadow becomes smudged. This embarrassed me last night because I must have somehow touched my eyes to the glabella and it appeared as if I was taking off my eye shadow and missed a spot. I think this is the absolute worst facial balm I have ever tried. At thirty-eight dollars a container for freaking balm one would expect it to be spectacular. It is made of beeswax, castor oil, other oils and pigment. The proportions of the ingredients are not compatible with my skin, and I having tried it on skin that should be loving it and can say it is just not good. I thought maybe I would try it on my lips, and this is not pleasant at all. I am so sorry to relay this but I want others not to waste their money on this pretentious balm. The scent is like window cleaner. If you want to be a guinea pig and short of funds you might have used on your favorite products, buy Jones Road and learn the hard way. My intentions are to inform others of my experience with these balms and save you disappointment.
Sold on these face sticks! ❤️ Even Mac Face and Body is starting to settle in my lines😔. On the flip side even when it was Bobbi Brown herself behind the brand her concealers were amazing but too emollient and alas more creasing, so totally get what you are saying about the balm and blushes.it’s a no for me.
I am very curious of what self tanner brand you use, you may have said before but can't remember looking for a new one and you always look so beautiful and tan.
Thank you so much❤️ I've been struggling with DHA. Self tanners I used to love don't work well anymore. It's so weird, but my skin is changing. Crazy enough, my neighbor across the street does Spray tan and I've been getting a spray tan from her. It's working much better. I'm having issues with DHA not developing. So weird. But, I get the spray tan from her, and the night I wash it off, I apply a even layer of the SOSU liquid tanner (love the Mousse for years and it doesn't develop much on me these days) And the liquid Sosu tanner develops along with the spray tan and it works great now. I have used the Sosu Mousse for years, it's a really great tanner. Not too orange, and not green. Also really like the Filter by Mollie Mae. Also a nice color, not too orange. I can't use Loving Tan. Though it's a great self tanner, it's too golden and the color isn't right. But I love the Sosu tanning Mousse, only negative is I have to order it from the UK. Lol. I order it from Beauty Bay so I don't pay shipping which is great, it just takes a little longer to get than other places. But I can get it within a week so it's not bad😁 Hope that helps🙏

The face pencils remind me of a SmashBox set of pencils that came in a set of the 3. A base color, a bronzer, and a contour. It was creamy and easy…don’t know if they still make it. Thanks for the review, as I have combo skin, this whole range is a pass. I like my makeup to be high tech and preform.

Hey Tara, I don’t really use foundation. Only if I’m going to a party or out for a date night or something special. Which isn’t often. But I only seen one other review besides yours and I love how it looked on both of you. I would like to try the balm because I have very dry skin and I don’t really want to use something that makes me look like I got on foundation. I will see if I will get it. I've been wearing the Foundation sticks the entire time I've been in Florida and loving them. Sometimes if i need more coverage, I've worn a little of the Chantecaille Tinted Moisturizer and the foundation sticks to cover places, but these foundation sticks are fantastic 😁💕 I think you would really enjoy them if you are someone who doesn't like to wear foundation 😁 Definitely something to consider 💕 Thanks for watching my friend💕💕

I didn't realize they had a new foundation. I have had their Palette for awhile with many colors, meant to review but never got around to it. Maybe now is the perfect time to review the Palette along with the Balm😁❤️ thanks for the heads up😁 heading over now to order.
Why would she sell her brand to buy another brand she should have just done what she needed to make it a clean brand. Aside from that great review it definitely looks to balmy I may try one of the stick concealers someday but really nothing interested me!
I think the standout makeup products in this line are the face pencils, the eyebrow pencils, the mascara, and - yes - the lip/cheek sticks. (Perhaps the latter is better for people with dry skin and/or who wear only cream foundation products.) The Just A Sec eyeshadows, the eyeliner pencils, and the lip glosses are pretty good.
The new foundation cream, the miracle balms and the shimmer gel all make my face feel a little itchy, I think because they include a lot of essential oils as preservatives. I think I would enjoy them other than that.
I also think that most of the skincare products (hippie stick, night cream, day cream, eye cream) have been excellent for my dry skin.
I do think that although this brand has been heavily promoted on TikTok, its natural market is for older women with very dry skin, which makes some sense since BB really created the products for herself and then started the company after many of her friends agreed they were great.
They keep bugging me as a customer (they don't know I'm a content creator lol) to share my experience on TikTok and receive $10 every time you post🤣 I just got a text this morning reminding me to share. But they are buggy with their texts lol. I signed up to receive text msg alerts to save money on my order and they don't stop texting. Haha. 🤣🤣 Anyway, I agree with everything you said about the products. I have the foundation Cream but haven't used it yet, so I'm curious about the itching part. I have that same thing happen when I use the Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate liquid foundation. It does the same thing. So I'm curious to see if this one does it as well. 😳 Thanks for sharing😁❤️
I really like Jones Road Beauty. I agree, if you need hydration, which I do, you’ll love it. I think I’m going to try the blush sticks and eye shadows next. Did you try the lip tints yet?
Oooo yes. Thank you for this review! I loved and still love the Bobbi Brown brand but she left like 5+ years ago now due to creative differences. She's a great person to follow on IG. But I haven't tried her new brand because I want more reviews before I invest. Also as a side note, she actually sold her brand to Lauder way back in the early 90's shortly after she launched and stayed on as creative director/head of the company. So it was the partnership with EL that really grew her company from a little indie brand to a higher end department store company. But basically, she was an employee, not the owner. When they had creative differences, she left Bobbi Brown/Estee Lauder. I know all this cuz I follow her 😆. She's a smart lady and fun to follow. Ok now I am diving into your review!!

I would have to not leave them in my purse in the car or they would melt. I do dumb stuff like that.

Mine don’t last long at all and I’ve not over used them ! I think they’re good but they work out very expensive in my opinion…
And a lot is wasted when you sharpen them!

what in the heck is Bobby Brown thinking with this line!? The fact that the balm prevents proper adhesion of the stick products confuses me. I, as an oily girl, can't even look at these products.
I’m oily too and love this line. I have both heavy/low make-up days. Love the subtleness of this line
She’s thinking it’s supposed to be applied very lightly
If you have oily skin, the website says to apply it sparingly just to the areas you need it. And you can even skip moisturizer when you use them. Everyone is supposed to use them based on their skin type. I was advised that I might like using it with powder. I have two fears too, but appreciate that they weren't trying to make us all use it the same.

Great Video. I have alot of her products too and can't really work them into a full makeup look due to the miracle balms and some other items breaking other makeup items up. It is a line I think that works well with its components but not necessarily with other brands. I find myself using it when I want a no makeup day. I wear the miracle balms at my desk when working from home and its comfortable and I like it.

I didn’t realize the miracle balm was meant to go all over the face. I thought they were just cream blush/bronzer/highlight.
That’s how I use the balms as cream blush/highlight and works great!!
I've watched several videos from BB and other reviews and it seems this product is created to be versatile and either a Primer for hydration, using them as bronzers, Blushes etc, or something to add all over color. She said in one video that's why she created a clear shade along with other shades so it has a lot of versatility 😁

Actually, that's not a bad idea. For the face, it's too much (for me anyway) but the neck, chest and hands is a great idea😁❤️ I am definitely going to try it. It has great ingredients so I know it would be good for the skin..😁 Thanks for the suggestion 💕💕

I wear the balm to bed. I tried it a bunch of different ways and it was a hard no for me.
The face pencils are expensive … a tiny amount of product for the money, especially after paying taxes etc to get them here in the UK, I do like the pencil but if I used it all over the face every day it wouldn’t last long at all ! Love anything that’s called a “balm” but I’ve held out on buying them so far!!!
