My wife cooked up that meal you did with the poblano and it was really good. We did that while out with our camper this last weekend. Thanks for sharing that.
Wow what a beautiful episode I’ll never get to see these places but You make me feel like I am there. I’ve traveled by motorcycles all over the country ,drove big trucks , spent years on fishing boats and yachts. I have experienced a lot of the beautiful things that God made for us but I never grow bored with it. Y’all enjoy this ride as long as you can great memories make for a great life.
You don’t want no tamales? Empanadas or souvenirs? Lol That was sketchy on the border, lol . The recipe at the end looked amazing 🤩 Kelly , I’m gonna have to make that one . Be careful and enjoy the warmth!
Awesome ! This is a fav of mine too. I’m standing on my front porch overlooking hundreds of town homes and you two’s are looking for Sharks Teeth ! It’s 30 degrees high here and probably much, much warmer for U . The Good Lord wants us all to Chill out a bit here but is giving good warmth to people like You. Wow, Did I just get a serious dose of sun glare here in Northern Virginia…. A nice dose of sunshine & snow glare today.
Beautiful campgrounds. Coyotes and a roadrunner are you kidding me. Hilarious. Luckily the coyote wasn't carrying a boxed marked ACME, or have a rocket on his back.
The pterodactyl is a pump jack..... a pretty small one at that. Head north from there towards Lubbock and you will be amazed how many there are in operation. I'm headed to Big Bend this weekend for first time..... hard to admit as native Texan and time to check it off the bucket list.
What fun! I loved the pterodactyl! I get a kick out of creative weird things like that. The mercury mine was so interesting to me because there was an old cinnabar mine on a hill at the end of our street where I grew up in Orange County, CA. I never knew mercury was refined from cinnabar! Dinner looked fantastic as always Kellie! Thanks for the beautiful scenery and drone work Cody!
This was one of my favorites of all your videos. My five-year-old grandson loved the pterodactyl, and the sharks tooth along with the caves. I was shocked that the Rio Grande campground was so empty. We were there just two years ago this week and it was packed full. We could only get three days to stay. I wonder why it’s so empty. This video was just so great though. The food looked fabulous as well as the scenery. I also bought the little metal sculptures when we were hiking along a trail there at that campground. Seeing the ones you videoed brought back some really great memories. Thank you!!!
You folks have taken us to some amazing places but I think you outdid yourselves this time. The metal pterodactyl - the mercury mine - that incredible bbq joint. And if I win the lottery I’m going to book a long stay at that Airbnb in the mountain! Safe travels.
Hey you two!!!! It was wonderful to watch this video. When we got there in 2020, we loved it and volunteered for a few months. We stayed in Rio Grand Village! Have you hit the hot springs?? There are so many great hikes. And you should do a few nights camping on the river road Enjoy!
Another amazing story hanging out with you guys! Loved the sound of the coyote. I heard some first of the year frogs! Still winter here, but always lost 50 degrees today
Hey Cody & Kelly! We are full time RVers out of Michigan, spending the winter in coastal Alabama and we watch every episode! This one was particularly fun for us because we were there a few years ago. As a matter fact, you walked by the campsite that we stayed in! We saw a coyote walk through that campground while we were there, they are accustomed to people. I hope you visited Chisos Basin while you are there.. it was our favorite drive-to spot. FYI; those Mexican souvenirs are illegal and if the feds catch you with them, they will confiscate them.. I bought a Bouquies (sp?) walking stick anyway and I haven't been arrested yet. Thanks for your videos!
Enjoyed everything about this video!! The pterodactyl was absolutely awesome. The scenery and river were beautiful. And as usual, Kelly put her cooking expertise on display so we could all have a drool fest, 😂. Safe travels.
Awesome video! The mechanical pterodactyl was cool! I like the shirt your friend was wearing. I saw Selena in concert in Corpus Christi sadly before she was shot that very week. I had a small collection of Tiger shark teeth when I lived on Maui. I collected them when spearfishing.
Great video, would love more detailed descriptions in the title, y’all are more than “truck campers” y’all are seeing the world & creating your own unique adventures & you should showcase that. Also y’all need to seriously consider adding bloopers at the end, it will connect you with you audience in a more relatable way. ❤
The reason we don’t title our videos that way is because a new audience would not click on a video titled something that we did. Our core audience would watch no matter what but to grow we cannot do that. If you go back in our videos and look at the view count you can see a trend. We are living in a truck camper and that’s the only way we are blessed to see and do all these amazing things.
Dont know when you made this but cant believe how empty that campground is wre going down that way in a couple of weeks cant find a site your lucky to have it so empty
What a cool place to camp and explore! Just so you know....Cinnabar is very toxic to handle. Archaeologists have strict rules for handling it when cinnabar is found in archaeological contexts. Raw cinnabar is ground to a red powder, which should not come in contact with skin.
Watch out for those roving packs of Chihuahuas. Alone they’re no big deal but when you run across 100 of them and they’re hungry, you better start running.
18:37- I noticed the coyote seemed in close proximity to the road runner. Could that coyote have thought that that picnic table might have been an Acme gadget he could use to nab the road runner? LOL They sure look MUCH different from the cartoons! Also, I was somewhat taken aback at how narrow the Rio Grande River is that that spot. I mean, it would look more like a tributary creek in the Southeast US! Thanks for taking us along!
Great experiences, thanks for sharing! Can't remember if you've hiked the Lost Mine Trail in your previous visits to the Big Bend, it's the best day hike in the park imo (but ya gotta get to the trailhead early to ensure a parking spot). The Fossil Discovery Exhibit is another really cool place to check out. Safe travels!
Thanks again for another great video. I liked this canyon better than the last one too. I am hell bent and determined to visit Big Bend!! Lucky ducks with 80* weather, still below freezing here in NW Louisiana. Anywho✌️
check out the hot spring on the east side of Big Bend up from Santa Elena, it's like the one you guys were in , I think it was Colorado ? so nice not a very long hike to get to.
Hey guys great videos. I know yall camp alot in Arkansas, we are going to petit jean state park for the end of February. We stayed at mt.nebo last July and the deer was everywhere. It was so cool. Are the deer all over at petit jean too. Great videos Thanks
Hi Kellie, If you have time in one of your videos, would you show how you care for your cast iron pans? Yours look unbelievably awesome after 5 years of use. Thanks. Lauren
I don’t really do much. I cook in them and then wipe them clean with a paper towel. If they’re really nasty I use some water and a scraper. I have cleaned and reasons them once.
Hey Kelly, we saw you on Shawn James podcast so we started following you on UA-cam, I thought I heard you said you had a cookbook? At any rate do you have the recipe for this dip that you just made in this episode?
How was things at the ferry The Border crossing? Hope it wasn't crazy, looks like it be a nice place to go fishing and swimming, swim when it's warmer lol
@@CodyandKellie hahaha it's too cold right now. But when it gets dark id probably try bath put shampoo on that way be forced to get in to wash it off hahaha
Wow, that dish at the close of the video looked so yummy. Like a gourmet beans and rice. Whoa! ••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 1 Peter 3:4 - But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
Love your channel and free relaxed spirits. I'm concerned though you might be unaware of the southern border invasion of unvetted illegals coming across in the 10s of thousands every month. Traveling in the danger zone dear ones. Praying for your safety.
Thank you for your concern. We are very aware. The region we are in is protected on both sides. Not much action going on. I would be more worried about Eagle Pass or Del Rio area.
I have just 3 words for Cody and Kellie….Simply the best!! 🥰👏💜
Thank you 😊
@@CodyandKellie 🥰💜
Dude....... you had a coyote and a road runner in camp at the same time?! That's epic! 😂
If Buggs Bunny had been there too ......... priceless!
That poor Coyote has no idea what is in store.
You two are so lucky to be avoiding the cold. 🥶. Just be careful near the border….
We will!
That drone view of the teradactyl and you all was kinda powerful!
💫🧚♂️💫
It was extraordinary!!
My wife cooked up that meal you did with the poblano and it was really good. We did that while out with our camper this last weekend. Thanks for sharing that.
Your welcome
Enjoyed meeting y’all at the rv park. That was our friends we heard talking in the background in your Santa Elena episode.. lol
Nice to meet y’all as well!
Kellie you keep wearing that hat, you're rockin' it.
😊
Yes take it easy and enjoy the warmth. I’m all about being warm. Enjoyed the scenery it was great. Thanks for sharing. ❤❤
Thanks for watching
Anyone else think "beep-beep" when they showed the Road Runner? I kept waiting for Cody to say it.
Absolutely 😂
Who else was singing “Road Runner, the coyote’s after you!” 😊
Wow what a beautiful episode I’ll never get to see these places but You make me feel like I am there.
I’ve traveled by motorcycles all over the country ,drove big trucks , spent years on fishing boats and yachts. I have experienced a lot of the beautiful things that God made for us but I never grow bored with it.

How cool is that Air B & B! No traffic and quiet!
Those places need to be on me n my wife’s bucket list looks like a beautiful place. Y’all stay safe n have fun.
This section of the border is well respected; glad you enjoyed the visit. Full disclosure: love Terlingua

Love your videos. This is the only one the has ever made me nervous 😬. I mean obviously you’re just fine. Planks, coyotes, and caves oh my. 😆
"High in the 80s. Low in the 50s". I'll just be happy to see it above freezing here in AR!!

Coyote and roadrunner.....I mean that is just the BEST!❤❤❤
Planning on doing some desert exploring myself in March, going to Arizona. Far cry from island life but it is a nice change of scenery!

The water levels are very low right now, they haven’t had much rain in the last five years in this region. It’s mostly snow melt dependent.

Everything is very cool. Thank you.

You guys saw Wiley Coyote and road runner😊
I know its just a parking lot on the other side of the store but do they still have the full hook sites over there ?
We’re not sure, have never checked them out
@@CodyandKellie thinking about heading there in September. Wife likes the full hook ups for showers in the camper.
Roadrunner travelers rv park has full hook up!

Bison….. =^.^=….

Watch for snakes and black widow spider

There was some subliminal stuff going on in this video. did You all catch it ? Tattoos & Howling of the Coyotes. ? Me too ?
That’s just life brother. There were no intended subliminal messages.

I get it that you're a gentleman, but it would have made more sense from a content perspective for the camera to be in the front seat.
Ok but what about all the amazing drone shots????
Totally random, you guys need a dog.
Well no one really needs a dog unless it’s for hunting or trapping. It’s nice to want a dog if it fits your personality
Someone owns that whole mountain? Wow. You can't hide money lol. Great video.
It is Texas. No land if free here. Also land is very cheap in Terlingua. Why? Water is an issue.
