I have been using a glycolic acid eye cream and using a hypochlorous acid eye wash. It has really improved my eye area. No more crepey skin! Much less puffiness!

Tamara, you introduced me to Rephr and I am so grateful! I bought the rebalancing essence, light hydration cream and intense hydration cream and am blown away at how much happier my skin is. Like you, my skin is very dry and especially so in the winter months. I've been sandwiching my Retin-A with Cerave PM lotion and Rephr intense hydration cream at night, and using the light hydration cream right before applying SPF. Wow! My skin is no longer peeling and flaking. All this at a reasonable price point and no added fragrance. Thank you Tamara!

Welcome! I'm super happy to have you here! Foundations tend to last quite well on my dry skin, but I do occasionally use a very light finishing or setting powder, especially in the summer with the heat and humidity. My favorite powders are the Hour Glass Ambient Lighting Finishing powder, the Kosas Cloud Set powder and the Physican's Formula Butter Believe It Setting powder. All will help blur the makeup together for a more seamless look as well as take down shine but leave the glow. I avoid powders that overly mattify the skin. All are pressed powders...I do have a few loose powders but tend to prefer pressed powders. In the summer I sometimes use a setting spray my favorite being the CT Setting spray.
I believe I saw in one of your videos this year that you purchased Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream. If so, what did you think? Happy Sunday, Tamara! Probably my most favorite skin care product discovery of this year is the Timeless Hydrating Eye Cream. I have a super dry undereye area and have tried countless creams (I can't use retinol products there) and I absolutely love, love, love this cream. The results were incredible and I wish I had done before photos. It has made a huge difference in my crow's feet! Though it says "cream" on the pump container, it is more of a gel and a little goes a long, long way. It can even be used on the lid area without irritation. All those amazing skincare products are right up my alley! 💯 I adore a good cleansing balm and oil cleansers are brilliant too👍 It's the best way to remove makeup! Plus when using an oil cleanser, it conditions your skin without leaving it dry !! Of course, not all oil cleansers are the same but I liked the Hada Labo cleansing oil, I found it to be well tolerated on the skin plus removed my makeup quite well. As far as Tretinoin goes, there is nothing like it! it's definitely worth trying, especially if one tolerates it! As a qualified esthetician, skincare is a big passion of mine and as I mature (I'm a lady over 50) I do my best to look after my skin. I have an Instagram where I chat about various beauty products from skincare, makeup (another love of mine) in addition I'm also interested in haircare because my hair has definitely changed as I keep maturing. Hi Tamara so me favourites for my extremely dry/parched, rosacea and eczema prone skin are: Laneige cream skin refiner - the most moisturising toner/essence I've tried. My skin is hyper sensitive and the hyped Dr Ceutracle and others caused a major reaction on patch testing, but this has never ever done that and my skin loves it. Paula's choice clinical ultra rich moisturiser - my absolute favourite day cream in the colder months. It's rich/buttery and yet sinks in beautifully allowing for spf application. Ultrasun spf (hybrid spf) - this is an eight hour wear spf (European) and has worked so well for me this year. I used it for years and then had some issues with my rosacea a couple of years ago, so I switched to an all mineral spf. I just found them drying tbh and am glad to be able to use the ultrasun again. It's a much higher UVA protection and stays on the skin so much better, so I feel protected in a way I didn't with the mineral spf's. My freckles and other skin did not change colour at all over the really hot Summer we had (Scotland), so to me that's a great gauge of efficacy. Paula's choice soothing body butter with their omega serum - this is my night duo. The Stratia caused a huge reaction on patch testing for me, but the omega serum from PC is similar and my skin likes it. The body butter is just a bit richer than the clinical face version and I need that at night - it's also cheaper and double the size allowing for a more generous application lol (I apply to face, neck and chest). I don't know who they're kidding with 4oz/118mls as a body product (I use 500g and 400mls body products in a single month), but for a night cream it's a good size. I love K beauty - cleansing balms, toners, essences, hydrating serums etc, but if you want an amazing lip mask don't bother with the laneige etc. I'm a restless front sleeper and have never found a product that doesn't rub off during the night until I got the PC lip and body balm (as a gift with purchase) from Paula's choice. It's not on my pillow and is still on my lips in the morning, plus it's extremely moisturising. Not cheap, but a large size and well worth the money (I will repurchase when it's done). I like the Aveeno calm and restore line (apart from the toner) and have used 3 bottles of the serum plus a full bottle of cleanser (now repurchased) from that line this year. My skin has been very temperamental this year and the rosacea has been problematic. These are the things that have worked for me the most this year. I have other favourites, but these are the top five. Best wishes.

My question is more about what products you use to hydrate and treat the rest of your body since that dries out with aging too. Hands and chests also get sun spots and damage. Would you consider doing a review video about body cleansers, moisturizers, and targeted treatments? You have to have your favorites, just like you do for your face, so could you please share your experiences?

Great products. I've been meaning to try a few Aveeno products since they are known to be calming. So glad you love the Liquid Gold as much as I do! I've been using this for maybe 5 years - can't be without it and you know I love my Skyn Iceland patches and the DRMTLY patches are great as well!

Big warning on hydroquinone: you must take a break in using it because it can have a weird boomerang effect in bringing up a kind of bluish discoloration on some people when it is used consistently over months at a time.

Hi Tamara. I went and got my yearly fraxel yesterday! I tell you it has made a huge difference on my 60 year old skin! It keeps the dark spots away from previous sun damage and greatly improves my skin texture! It does involve several days of downtime but so worth it! I really want to try the eye masks! Do you have any recommendations to rehydrate dry skin I put on in the morning (especially during these dry winter months!)? I am using all the good products daily to keep my 60+ skin healthy and drinking lots of water, but I still get lots of flaking and peeling.
My skin is super dry in winter as well. Using a humidifier in my room at. Igbo really helps. And One of my fav and most hydrating essences is Sukoyaka Suhada Urea Moisturizing Lotion. It’s a watery essence and I apply to damp skin a couple of times to add and seal in hydration. Game changer for sure. I also love DRMTLGY Peptude Night cream…sometimes use it in the AM as well. And A SUPER rich cream is Dr. Jarts Ceramidin Cream. Hope this helps!

Your skin is radiant . I’ve heard good things about Revision tinted moisturizer. There are different formulas- do you think this product is worth the price vs other tinted hydrators ?
I’m just starting the process of testing it…I have the original. I was hoping it could be my stand alone tinted SPF, but so far if I apply 1/4 tsp it looks a little heavy…but if I use just enough to tint my skin it looks nice. I need to work with it some more before reviewing. It’s def pricey and I have skin tints that are more affordable I like just as much or more. But if I can use it as a one and done tinted SPF with no additional coverage needed that might be worth the price. I will be including it in a round up in 2023.

I tried to love the Aveeno Calm and restore line because everyone talked so highly of it. The cleanser and the serum irritated my skin. I tried it multiple times and same result. The gel cream didn't seem to irritate my skin as much but it just didn't give me enough hydration for my dry mature skin. I recently purchased Milk and Manuka Honey Deep moisture cream by Lily Sado. Although I I use Mad Hippie Triple C Night Cream at night, I thought the Manuka Honey would be good for nights when my skin felt irritated. Surprisingly enough, although the Milk and Manuka is very rich, I'm using during the day. Not near as rich as mad Hippie. I will definitely be repurchasing.

I also loved the Agency products but about 4 months ago I discovered the Proven system which I am loving as their formulas take many different factors into consideration. Really good picks! I started Agency this year on your recommendation and really like it! One of my other favorite finds this year is the k-beauty Skinfood Royal Honey Propolis Enrich Essence. I have really dry skin and I credit this serum for helping to keep the dryness and flakiness to a minimum this year. I use it morning and night as one of my first layers. It has become a holy grail product for me!
I have the ice Globes and I'm wondering if they can be used with these skin Iceland patches if you were to run the ice Globe over the patch while it's setting do you think that would deliver a double whammy?

Thanks for the great skincare favorites. I’ll try the Aveeno line. As a Retin A user, I mix in a couple of drops of facial oil with my moisturizer. It makes such a difference in hydration and luminosity. I use Tatcha oil.

Hi Tamara so me favourites for my extremely dry/parched, rosacea and eczema prone skin are:
Laneige cream skin refiner - the most moisturising toner/essence I've tried. My skin is hyper sensitive and the hyped Dr Ceutracle and others caused a major reaction on patch testing, but this has never ever done that and my skin loves it.
Paula's choice clinical ultra rich moisturiser - my absolute favourite day cream in the colder months. It's rich/buttery and yet sinks in beautifully allowing for spf application.
Ultrasun spf (hybrid spf) - this is an eight hour wear spf (European) and has worked so well for me this year. I used it for years and then had some issues with my rosacea a couple of years ago, so I switched to an all mineral spf. I just found them drying tbh and am glad to be able to use the ultrasun again. It's a much higher UVA protection and stays on the skin so much better, so I feel protected in a way I didn't with the mineral spf's. My freckles and other skin did not change colour at all over the really hot Summer we had (Scotland), so to me that's a great gauge of efficacy.
Paula's choice soothing body butter with their omega serum - this is my night duo. The Stratia caused a huge reaction on patch testing for me, but the omega serum from PC is similar and my skin likes it. The body butter is just a bit richer than the clinical face version and I need that at night - it's also cheaper and double the size allowing for a more generous application lol (I apply to face, neck and chest). I don't know who they're kidding with 4oz/118mls as a body product (I use 500g and 400mls body products in a single month), but for a night cream it's a good size.
I love K beauty - cleansing balms, toners, essences, hydrating serums etc, but if you want an amazing lip mask don't bother with the laneige etc. I'm a restless front sleeper and have never found a product that doesn't rub off during the night until I got the PC lip and body balm (as a gift with purchase) from Paula's choice. It's not on my pillow and is still on my lips in the morning, plus it's extremely moisturising. Not cheap, but a large size and well worth the money (I will repurchase when it's done). I like the Aveeno calm and restore line (apart from the toner) and have used 3 bottles of the serum plus a full bottle of cleanser (now repurchased) from that line this year. My skin has been very temperamental this year and the rosacea has been problematic. These are the things that have worked for me the most this year. I have other favourites, but these are the top five. Best wishes.

I’ve been following you for several months now and based on your recommendations my facial skin looks amazing. My question is more about what products you use to hydrate and treat the rest of your body since that dries out with aging too. Hands and chests also get sun spots and damage. Would you consider doing a review video about body cleansers, moisturizers, and targeted treatments? You have to have your favorites, just like you do for your face, so could you please share your experiences?

Great products. I've been meaning to try a few Aveeno products since they are known to be calming. So glad you love the Liquid Gold as much as I do! I've been using this for maybe 5 years - can't be without it and you know I love my Skyn Iceland patches and the DRMTLY patches are great as well!

Big warning on hydroquinone: you must take a break in using it because it can have a weird boomerang effect in bringing up a kind of bluish discoloration on some people when it is used consistently over months at a time.

Planning on using during the holidays. As for a fave skin care product. I've been using my Frownies couple times a wk. I don't get botox so these are the next best thing..lol My sister usually gifts them to me, she knows how much I like them. Happy Holidays Tamara! Last year I received Saturday Skin’s facial exfoliating product in my monthly Allure Beauty Box and it’s been my favorite ever since. This year I received their Yuzu lemon + 7 peptides eye cream and I’m loving it too! I’m 65 yo and have normal to dry skin. I also love the Skyn under eye patches. Hi Tamara. I went and got my yearly fraxel yesterday! I tell you it has made a huge difference on my 60 year old skin! It keeps the dark spots away from previous sun damage and greatly improves my skin texture! It does involve several days of downtime but so worth it! I really want to try the eye masks! How exciting! Fraxel has been on my list to try forever...I am taking baby steps toward it...my Aesthetician recommended I start with a Moxi which has less down time and is less expensive. If that goes well I will def go for Fraxel. Merry Christmas to you and yours! ❤️
Do you have any recommendations to rehydrate dry skin I put on in the morning (especially during these dry winter months!)? I am using all the good products daily to keep my 60+ skin healthy and drinking lots of water, but I still get lots of flaking and peeling.
My skin is super dry in winter as well. Using a humidifier in my room at. Igbo really helps. And One of my fav and most hydrating essences is Sukoyaka Suhada Urea Moisturizing Lotion. It’s a watery essence and I apply to damp skin a couple of times to add and seal in hydration. Game changer for sure. I also love DRMTLGY Peptude Night cream…sometimes use it in the AM as well. And A SUPER rich cream is Dr. Jarts Ceramidin Cream. Hope this helps!

Your skin is radiant . I’ve heard good things about Revision tinted moisturizer. There are different formulas- do you think this product is worth the price vs other tinted hydrators ?
I’m just starting the process of testing it…I have the original. I was hoping it could be my stand alone tinted SPF, but so far if I apply 1/4 tsp it looks a little heavy…but if I use just enough to tint my skin it looks nice. I need to work with it some more before reviewing. It’s def pricey and I have skin tints that are more affordable I like just as much or more. But if I can use it as a one and done tinted SPF with no additional coverage needed that might be worth the price. I will be including it in a round up in 2023.

I also am trying the Repher skin care line and so far I’m really liking it except the thicker cream is very hard to get out of the tube! Wishing you a very happy holiday season.
I tried to love the Aveeno Calm and restore line because everyone talked so highly of it. The cleanser and the serum irritated my skin. I tried it multiple times and same result. The gel cream didn't seem to irritate my skin as much but it just didn't give me enough hydration for my dry mature skin. I recently purchased Milk and Manuka Honey Deep moisture cream by Lily Sado. Although I I use Mad Hippie Triple C Night Cream at night, I thought the Manuka Honey would be good for nights when my skin felt irritated. Surprisingly enough, although the Milk and Manuka is very rich, I'm using during the day. Not near as rich as mad Hippie. I will definitely be repurchasing.

I also loved the Agency products but about 4 months ago I discovered the Proven system which I am loving as their formulas take many different factors into consideration. Not only your skin concerns but also the climate you live in, type of water in your community, etc. And, it changes with the seasons! I love it & would love to see a review & tell us what you think. Really good picks! I started Agency this year on your recommendation and really like it! One of my other favorite finds this year is the k-beauty Skinfood Royal Honey Propolis Enrich Essence. I have really dry skin and I credit this serum for helping to keep the dryness and flakiness to a minimum this year. I use it morning and night as one of my first layers. It has become a holy grail product for me!

I have been using agency since you talked about it and love love love it! I finally bought the Hado Labo cleansing oil🥹 and I see I will now have to get the luxe cleansing balm. Have been using the aveeno serum and really enjoy it!
