There is cheese to it, at least when playing as Aqua. Just fill your commands with Curaga, then Cartwheel spam until you get some distance, then Prism Rain. That's how I beat him

@@aricente They basically did play another version of this tho. During the fight with Ansem, Xemnas and YX it plays a mash-up of all three of their themes. The song played here during the No Heart fight is just a mash-up of Ansem and Xemnas' final boss themes. So the one played in KH3 is pretty much a straight upgrade.

When the melody is playing ansems theme the bassline is on xemnas theme. In kh3s it was more like "heres YX, heres ASoD theme and now heres xemnas"
Or Eraqus' armor. Have Eraqus's heart appear from within Terra and he just manifests his armor and Master Xehanort does the same leading to one final final showdown between old friends.

I am honestly surprised by the number of people who truly believe this was Xemnas. The game makes it pretty clear that this was Xehanort's original Keyblade Armor. The only reason Xemnas has it in Kingdom Hearts II is because, well, he is Xehanort's Nobody.
Xehanort when he's serious. One of the best Kingdom Hearts fights I've seen. I need to replay this game but I'm dreading the ice cream mini game since I'm a completionist.
Regardless of the ice cream minigame, Birth by Sleep was probably the hardest KH game for me. The entire game had some very strict rules about combat and yet the bosses were pretty much allowed to ignore them XD.
This and eraqus' armor definitely probably fit terras superbosses the most. Aqua fits best with vanitas lingering sentiment While ventus definitely fits with the mysterious figure. Let's just say... history is a pretty nice cheat sheet
Came back to listen to the ost back in high school me and some friends did this as a 3 player group on the psp was pretty fun but we where all like sweaty try hards when it came to this fight and just destroyed him.

Just spam curaga and thunder surge and dodge megaflare and you are good to go. Not to mention blocking his attacks in between. He is doable, especially if you have beaten the hardest boss in the game which is not him.

Nope, it's Xehanort. Xemnas was just able to use it. Why it has the nobody emblems on it remains a mystery, but in Dark Road, where we play as Xehanort, we see that he gets the No Heart Armor.

@@vegas3352 For Julius? Yeah it's the way to go. You're still playing the full boss fight and trying to not die to his patterns. The only noob strategy I know for an optional boss in the franchise is the one for Lingering Will that uses only combo finishes (I think it was like that).

I use the "balloons spam" strat in KH 3D and I have no shame. ^^
You can use thunder surge instead. You won't need fancy magic to beat those bosses.
