With the ability to play BBS online now via PPSSPP, I wanted to try it out. Thanks to Kye and Gingaman Prime for playing! I forgot how fun this could be that I wish it was implemented in the PS4 versions.
Its been years since I've played BBS and done this fight, so there were some close moments.

This is literally how Terra, Ven and Aqua should fight Master Xehanort altogether as one.
Always annoyed me how keyblade wielders have become worse in cutscenes with each passing game.

@@ciarandoherty6180 Well, in the beginning it was an easy out since the characters never actually fought in cutscenes aside from just blocking a single attack or something, and any cutscene defeats were down to the player. Then in KH2 there was some fighting against heartless in cutscenes, but the only times anyone is shown to be incompetent is Sora when he's intentionally holding back. Then in BBS we get one big fight, and the heroes are pretty much stomped with only Aqua doing anything remotely effective when she casts Reflega. Then there's DDD at the end, when Mickey and Lea come to the rescue while being completely pathetic, and only Siax and Young Xehanort even doing anything to stop them.
Then we get KH3, where Sora is pretty worthless in cutscenes of the Disney worlds, Riku and Mickey are barely better in the Realm of Darkness, Aqua forgets how to use barrier when taking a hit from Vanitas, everyone fails at the Keyblade Graveyard (then are suddenly able to hold their own for no apparent reason) with even Lingering Will goes down fairly easily in Remind, all without anyone showing off even half of what they're capable of in gameplay (and should be several magnitudes stronger than at that).

@Vadan Drumist KH3 honestly hurt a lot when it came to this. Everyone just kinda stood around in the Keyblade Graveyard when Ventus got yeeted.
It's really to bad that they took out multiplayer on the console versions. Watching this has made me forget how much fun multiplayer was in BBS's Mirage Arena with friends. I remember playing multiplayer with a few friends back in High School.
You can still do it over PPSSPP. Fact there's even a superboss mod you can get.

Makes you wonder why they couldn't implement this on the Ps3/Ps4..
I guess they didn't think it was worth it since relatively few people used it (well, that and the audience not wanting to pay for PS+ for something that's essentially a minor side feature).
Lazy Square is lazy. Even the PS3 port of MGS Peace Walker had online multiplayer.

Then again, KH3D got the same multiplayer cut when it came to consoles, so I guess it ain't something worth the effort to port on their perspective.
@@Bobsican To be fair with the 3D, it was basic streetpass stuff and a single minigame. The game didn't really lose anything that people used. Outside of trying to 100% the game, I'm sure people played maybe a single game of flick rush each.

Just imagine this, but it was in the Keyblade Graveyard against one of the Fortellers during the keyblade war, at the end of a game that had been like a combination of KH-BBS, KH-Days, KH3, and FF15-Comrads. The Union game we should have gotten, and hopefully will have while waiting for KH4.
Such a game, where you get a completely customizable character down to their fighting stance (Eraqus, Sora, Riku, Terra, Ventus, Aqua, Unlockable Roxas). Keyblades from across all the games, which you forge and put medals into to boost stats and grant abilities, rather than limiting them to strict upgrade lines. Magic which includes all of the major spell lines of previous games, multiple ways to cast them (the variations in KH3, as well as Screen and Boon), and even some new spells such as Geo, (De)Protect, (De)Bravery, (De)Shell, and Faith (the magic buff), as well as limits. Rather than have access to all of them, players choose what spells to unlock with a limited number of elements, allowing personalization of builds and encouraging a well rounded party. Finally, each Union would have it's own set of NPC companions (who would be at least as competent as Comrads companions) for offline, with the ability to unlock the KH characters in the post game.

...am I the only one wondering why Cyber only has one heal equipped?
Usually he goes through all the game without taking a single hit, but there are some fights in some games that cause you to take damage in some boss fights and there is nothing he could do about it, so I am not surprised since the multiplayer is really hard
@@phantom_anime BBS is freaking hard when going to the final mix exclusive fights like No Heart and Eraqus in the arena. The DPA you did to them is reduced significantly, regardless of what level you have it at. Shotlock is pretty much debuffed and useless. Advanced commands isn't so doable without taking damage during the attack (for Terra, mostly) since not all of them had the invincible frame when inititating them. It can get to the point of frustration that you can't be picky on how to defeat them
Oof that was so nerve-wracking. I knew you wouldn't biff it (otherwise you either wouldn't have uploaded this, or the title would say something about it), but that's an intense fight, even with two other people.

I don't see how this wasn't implemented in the PS3/PS4 versions as you can still obtain the Group commands there. So.... Uh... If they weren't going to have the MP feature in they should've omitted those commands from the console versions.
iirc the group heals don't count toward healing limits (ie. "you can only use Cure etc. x amount of times") in the arena, so they still have a minor purpose in solo play. And Trinity Limit etc. can still be used just fine as solo attacks, even if they're completely impractical.
They _did_ remove the Taunt and Group Esuna commands from the console versions since those are pointless and/or redundant in solo play.
@@UltimaSpark50 also in the rare case you have a npc helping you out (such as when mickey fights along side you or prince phillip) i believe group cure DOES work on them
It's ridiculous how No Heart got buffed in the PS3/PS4 version.
Soul Eater he didn't get buffed in the ports though.
He actually got nerfed. In order to make this fight actually solo-able in the ports (due to the lack of multiplayer), they drastically increased the amount of damage players can do to him. In order to compensate for this they had to increase his health pool to counter-balance the increased DPS players would be doing.

@@Manavine Not exactly. As far as I understand it, No Heart took waaaaaaaaaaaay less damage in the original game, even when facing against two players. He's still ultimately a shorter fight, if I'm not mistaken, in the HD ports because of how much damage you actually do to him per attack.

Yup It Was On The PSP Version But Was Removed From The Console Ports, Originally The Cape That Appears On Terra's Back When Defeating Terranort Wasn't Added On The PsP Cause It Would Cause The Game To Lag But In The Console Versions, The Cape Was Added And Multiplayer Was Removed But Im Sure There Was More Than That Though

So how’s the delay
I hate it when people cherry pick the HD ports as a means to say that No Heart is poorly designed, because you were never originally intended to do this fight solo. The only reason it has any "flaws" in the HD ports is due to the lack of multiplayer; in order to account for that change they only had the time to change No Heart's stats (via increasing the amount of damage players due to him, and thus increasing his health pool to compensate for the increased damage).
If you actually understand that this boss was meant to be taken on by multiple people and not meant to be taken on alone, this is a pretty fair and well designed fight. Makes it an even bigger shame that the ports lacked the multiplayer functionality of the Mirage Arena.
I realise that there’s only so much they could have done, but it doesn’t really make it any less annoying to fight...
And even if you accept that it was intended to be done multiplayer, it’s still a big slap in the face for people who didn’t have access to multiplayer on the original PSP version. Like, they should have at least considered that some people might end up having to do it alone.

The PSP had free multiplayer though. There's literally no way that people wouldn't have been able to access it. Same with the ps3.
Boyishdude From what I can tell, you needed a PS3 as well in order to actually play online multiplayer on the PSP (I might be wrong but this was what I’ve read online). But I have never owned a PS3 (skipped straight to 4) and I never knew anyone around me that I could play local multiplayer with, sooooooo...
Minishroom123 but BBS multiplayer wasn't only local multiplayer? Not even 358's Mission Mode was exclusively LAN multiplayer.

It's a PSP Emulator, I'm surprised you could do online stuff with Emulators like Smash Bros Melee Online against actual people.
@@dawnstar9557 I ended up looking into it after I made the comment. Yeah Emulators are awesome, I use the most basic ones but they’re fun. MUGEN is awesome!
