"I just don't want to muck it up". What an honest answer from a very down to earth man. It is easy to forget that there are real people behind these brands, especially a brand surrounded with such mystique & reverence as Pappy Van Winkle. To hear this really endears me to the man & while I will most probably never see a bottle down here in Australia let alone own one, it makes me happy to know that it is an honest man like Preston behind the brand. What a fantastic interview. Thank you.
The Pappy 15 is my absolute favorite! I’ve had it all, but the 15 is just right for me! Buffalo Trace is producing some great bourbon! I really like the regular Buffalo! It taste way above it’s price!
I was lucky enough to get a bottle of Van Winkle 12 year earlier this spring. Will be opening this Saturday and sharing it with my siblings, nieces and nephews. We’re all looking forward to the tasting and a comparison to a bottle of Blantons.
I wish I could get any of your products for close to retail price and I live in ky 30 miles from your distillery. Great job marketing but sad we can't have it in the state it's made
I've been around the world twice and talked to everyone once, but have never been able to buy a bottle of PVW. Maybe before I cash it in I might be able to get my paws on a bottle. I hear good things.
Thanks for the great whiskey! Apologize for all the Van Winkle and buffalo trace hate comments. Most years I don’t get a bottle, this year got them all at retail. You guys make an amazing product, sure it takes relationship building to get it but know you guys are making more which who knew, takes a really long time. Can I have some Van Winkle (or weller)?
Interesting but this tells me that this will never be something that I drink. Anything that is purposely made rare means I don’t need it. Having tasted Blantons gold and discovering that was great but very overhyped, this isn’t that important to me nor any other elusive purposely over hyper product.

Have tried them all. 15 year is my favorite
“Bourbon and cigars finally caught up to him at the age of 91.”
That man lived the dream!!!
Only had pappy 15 and can confirm, absolutely amazing
Great information!!!
Great video. So glad to hear they prioritize their bourbon to the US market.

Legendary.. almost a unicorn, urban legend type of whiskey 🥃🧘♀️
It’s all about barrel selection. However, W12 is still awesome and somewhat obtainable. Excellent interview.
Such a wonderful interview. Thank you!
Got to try PVW 15 at Bourbon and Beyond last year... Those were the days!
What an entertaining interview. Appreciate all the insight. Love your products and I'm down with a BT tailgate any day!!! Cheers!
Excellent

👏🏼
We can't even get Weller green label
I was able to find all Van Winkles this year. Unfortunately the lowest price for the Rip was 799$
Nearly impossible to get, ive not once seen it for sale
I wish they would just sell Pappy in smaller bottles. Evan at 375 ml they could have twice as much available....

Hard to agree when it is not available in ohio most of the time.
They need to make more and lower the price.
Cool you'll be able to buy it in 15-20 years....happy now? 🤦
MSRP isn't even that expensive, it's all the retailers that are jacking up the price, he mentioned it in the interview lol.
I won a 10 in a local auction in Massachusetts. It's my 2nd bottle of it
Cut out the wholesalers, cut out the retailers, and become the retailers themselves. That would surely sort out the profiteering by the retailers.
You clearly don’t know how the laws work
oh come on man, we appreciate the humbleness, but we know you have cases and cases of it at home

I can get a book but no Pappy? Why to read the book then? Just to get more angry? LOL. It´s a shame. Maker´s cask strength will do then.
Great talk about more whiskey we can’t get. You guys do suck a bad job....I don’t even try looking for any.... so I hope you enjoy it.
