Another unreleased song that was released later on was 'Behind the Mask'. It was originally by a Japanese artist, but several artists have done their own version, Eric Clapton among others. MJ did his version as well and added lyrics. Would be interesting if you would listen to two if them to see how very different artists do the same song in their own way. The problem I have with certain of these songs is that in many cases I'm pretty sure MJ just didn't like them enough to come out. Edit: O, and talking about Timberlake, maybe react to Cry Me a River and check the story behind the song (Britney Spears cheated on him with Wade Robson who had been dating MJ's niece Brandi since childhood, and later became one of the accusers in Leaving Neverland).
This song is from the album Xscape. The entire album is old songs that he never finished that were remastered and completed after he passed. The album also includes the original demos of each song before the were redone. It’s rumored that he had 120 songs for each album he released and would then start the process of elimination on what songs made the album and what didn’t. It’s also been stated that he was making music up to the day he died and was even working on an album during the “This is It” rehearsals. He has thousands upon thousands of unreleased songs but the MJ estate will probably never release them. The MJ estate has been a huge let down to the fans in so many ways and that’s just another on the pile.
