lcs went thru the culling of all the old stars (dlift, bjerg) that new players have a chance to actually play proactive; maybe lec needs that too
The issue Dom referred to is having rookies instead of veteran players in roles where experience matters.

That wasnt what happened at all, they got rid of the washed academy leechers then cut two teams and left fewer jobs on the table.
As much as people meme on DL on Bjergsen they were still top 5 in their role, anyone saying otherwise didnt watch LCS 22-23 they were bad in the context of who they were.
The LCS prodcution got better and the league as a whole is less top heavy than LEC where it feels like teams have mismatched players all around expect the top.
@@PastaDiMama44the problem is that many of the rookies are lacking either talent or are not LEC level yet. Not every rookie is going to be a star just because they're young
It’s so crazy the way the league community works, you’d think the years of toxicity on the rift would numb them some. But as soon as a league personality has any negative criticisms of any thing even if they’re 100% talking gameplay the community instantly has to find another motive or their just “bitter or toxic or negative or a hater”
It's hard to find any positivity in any community that isn't gated and/or small. That's how the internet works. Since league is one of biggest games in the world its community is toxic. The same can be said for dota 2 WoW call of duty etc... anything mainstream really.
Because 90% of times when someone in League calls something toxic, it's just criticism they can't handle

LEC is one the full ''Nationality over skill'' train. Is not about picking someone who can play the game well is about ''Is this person Spain? French? German?''. They are not building teams for winnings, they are building them for fanbase
@@RomnysGonzalez i don't think mad are bad though, they're legit 4 rookies with elyoya, as far as kc goes, the "french" players are just horrid, that one can do with new players, they can be french, i don't mind, but just have them be human. would be nice if there were enough players from all european countries to make teams for each nation, but sadly, there aren't, would be interesting if it was like the fifa world cup though

I kinda liked watching Daglas I thought he was a pretty good part of vitality and was fun to watch but I definitely do not understand that level of play as much as Dom. Glad he gave Zwyroo his credit though well deserved!

Ive actually been one of the ppl whos been like telling friends of mine who watch LEC that I think the best mid that could pair up with Bo is Nisqy. I legit think that Nisqy is so good when you pair him up with a vocal, ad, carry jungler, I mean. Mad has done that with just Nisqy and Elyoya, if MAD can do that with those 2, imagine how Elyoya would be if he had some Chinese in him. Oooh
For what they might win the lec but nisqy is completly boosted when it comes to msi or worlds

I think there’s a lot of players in LEC living of their reputation from years ago… Need a fresh crop coming into the league
What we need is relegations. Fuck franchising. G2 never entered league because they were known org, that riot thought would be a good partner, they just rekt 10th team, and then proceeded to win 4 splits in a row, and become the most succesful org in the history of the region, and usually the best western team save for few fiascos like 2021 roster.
How many more of those have we missed?
Same for players I get that perkz is washed now, but its completely possible he would never be picked by some team, and if he was, maybe he'd have a bad split or two and never come back like lider or magifelix.
Edit. And if the team is dogshit for entire year like rogue is right now, let them get kicked. Free larssen from this prison.
There's also alot of rookies in the LEC that are bad or don't have the talent
EU is cycling players also U forgotten that alot eu player are on Na to (Jensens count cuz Danish same as me ) Bwipo Inspired heck Sven if he still play I don't really care about NA anymore but yeah its Rookie era for most parts but yes EU looks weak but Doubt EU looses to Na

Based on how the msi format works, there's a significant chance for 2 EU vs NA bo5s, which could enlighten EU or fully cover them in darkness
the coaching staff also needs to improve only g2 vit and bds have humans in their camps

The last time they "built a roster" around Larssen was in 2021. Ever since then they've been deconstructing that one, chipping away at it with individual downgrades. In what world does someone look at 2024 Rogue and think "man, they really gave this Larssen guy everything and he still can't get it done"?
Larsen is super overrated. I don't know why people keep pretending he's that good. And their argument is he's never been that bad. It's ridiculous. So being consistently mediocre is an achievement now?
Even guys like nisqy and jizuke has higher highs than him and got a lot more criticism than him.

There's no way we ignore the shitty format in this discussion. LPL and LCK are smacking everyone, and they play many Bo5s, but yeah, let's have our region play 3 weeks of Bo1s and only play 2-3 Bo5s per split. Make it make sense
I think that the format also takes a part in why LEC has been bad.
How can a team improve with 3 weeks and 9 games of BO1 instead of the old format with 7 weeks and 18 games of BO1? Right now, they practice less, and as soon as a team is not top-8 they just change the rosters. The rosters are made to impact now and not in the future. The teams to me that have exceeded expectations in this format have been BDS(these 2 years) and MAD(this year). All the rest have been very very poor considering what their level should be.
Lec has been bad for years now. It's not worse or better this year than it was last year for example. In fact if we were to argue about that based on results we could even argue it was even worse last year.
If i remember correctly it was last worlds after all that we had an lec team lose to a na one in a best of 5 for the first time in history. G2 even lost to a very mediocre nrg team.
nrg wasn't very mediocre when you are comparing to na. If you look at this bo5 nrg played very well, and g2 just did not.
If you look at these rosters i don't think anyone would disagree that g2 is much much better than nrg. It doesn't stop being a failure. And with mad also losing to na in msi if i remember correctly the failures of last year for lec are absolutely huge!
Ofc we're gonna have to wait to compare with this year but i really find it hard to believe lec us gonna fail so hard as last year
@@GothPaoki i just don't think that hans is it, people keep hyping him up, he's decent, but in no way is he currently even close to the best adc in the lec, but then you look at the rest of the adcs in europe, who can you even call a top tier adc? the only one that stands out is carzzy, who I personally consider to have been amazing ever since he left the original mad (the one where tehy won lec), who else comes to mind? no one.... same for mid, you have caps, and then the rest, for top? you have photon, then the rest, it gets even worse for jungle and support, they're all literally just there, people will shit on hyli for inting in winter, when miky was doing the same shit, but his team was winning (solely off of caps xd), so he gets a pass, and the rest of the supports don't matter, junglers don't matter either, they're all the same as well... out of 50 players (10 teams x 5 players), you have 3 stand outs, one of which is korean, 2 europeans, everyone else is the embodiment of mediocrity, or worse... my point is that there is nothing special about g2, except for caps, and, sadly, there's nothing special about the rest of the lec, save for a handful of players, everyone else is completely interchangeable, they all look like they're playing for a paycheck, or they're rookies who are losing solely due to experience gap, "summer will be better", that's how the na fans used to cope, i'm sure s15 will be ours

EU's best team lost to a mediocre NA team because they are worse as a region and only getting worse by the minute plain and simple.
