She looks nice as an brunette. I also think she would look good with an cool red tone. She is lucky her skin tone can wear blonde, brunette, red. I enjoyed the video. Thank you for making hair videos. I have my cosmetology license. I learned a lot from watching your videos. I learned more from your videos than I ever have in cosmetology school! Thank you for making them.
Started the process of going darker and applied the red tones to my hair but I'm really digging it haha so I'm leaving it for a bit until I'm ready for the full transition lol
How do you do this if I’m wanting to go to a ash brown without red in it my natural brown has a red tint and I don’t like it.. ready to let my hair grow out some this summer.. but please lmk what you would use!! I’m platinum right now on top and root is level 4/5brown with gray about inch grown out.. please help lol I wanna be a ash brown! Thank girl if you answer this long ass comment!!!🤍💓
Well done both look gorgeous I’m a brunette going grey 😬 decided to do Redken platinum ice fed up chasing the grey now ☝️ But it’s striking so wish me luck. I’ve kinda lost the plot a bit decided which combo to use 🙄
I swear once I year I think this lady has her hair blonde to brunette and vice versa. Maybe it’s been more time than it seems? 🤣 I love these videos though! I want to bleach my own hair but it’s so delicate 😢. Oh I like her brunette! It brings out her eyes. 👀
I colored my daughters hair from blonde to brunette without filling. Now it’s a muddy brown with red tones toward the scalp and greenish tones on the length. We were going for a neutral ashy brown. What do you suggest now? Can I fill it now? If so what color filler?
You can either use a color remover or bleach it out then fill hair. Mix color with final color to cancel out unwanted tones. Basically, start over. Use a protein filler for health as well.
I am doing the same thing to my customer but she doesn’t want the level 5 she is looking for a level 7 can I use the same formula that you are using and look for level 7 in neutral tone and do a dash 7 G and dash of na . Any suggestions Thanks for your help
I have a client that has blonde hair like that but wants lowlights added in, about that level. Is it possible to just put all that in together instead of 2 separate formulations?
Thank you so much for this video this is exactly what I was looking to find! What is the processing solution you're using with the filler? Is it a low level developer?
What volume developer did you use when you were actually mixing up the final hair color? Also, I’m having a very hard time finding any Redken brand shades anywhere 😢 any suggestions?
Hi! Any formula for a brown/copper level 7, I’m debating in use 7n or 7cb with 7 cc what do u think? I don’t want to much red, I want more orangey/ copper
This might be silly question, but can you achieve this with a permanent color if that is all that is available? Just mixing different levels of permanent instead ?
If I was a blonde before and did my roots at a level 7 then went straight in with level 6/7all over and didn’t fill. At my next time colouring can I apply this filler over top before I do my colour to try to enrich my brunette 😬😬
because her roots have grown out at a level 6-7 and if she just toned her at the bowl with the step 3 it wouldnt grab enough on the roots and would fade out. She has to treat it as a seperate section, if that makes sense x
Every video I research seems to have someone with bleached hair. Do I still have to tone or fill with natural dark blonde hair? I don’t remember having to do this ten years ago…
No, not for dark blonde hair. I've been straight platinum and went brown without filling with no issues. In that case you would want to choose a warm brown shade, which would have all the pigments in it that the bleached hair would need. For you, though, I don't think you'll have any issues going darker.
she didn’t use a developer- shades eq comes with a processing solution so that is what she used for the filler! She only used a developer with the base color.
This is the "proper" way to do it, but really you could just buy a warm toned brown and dye right over the blonde with it without a problem. I've done that many times in my life with good results.
My hair is light brown and i really want to go to chocolate brown/dark brown but im so scared for the outgrow being lighter! The other way around looks better so im scared. Does anyone have tips for me or experience?
I have a question for Jessi or any professional colorist out here: if a new client (not a family member or close friend you’ve already worked with) comes in with overprocessed/damaged hair and wants to go super blonde, how do you approach that from a management perspective? I’ve always wanted to know how stylists navigate something like that
Be honest and say for the health of your hair you don't recommend any more bleach, and offer a toning, deep condition and great blowout service instead. If they argue or make an issue out of it politely tell them that you may not be the stylist for them in the end.
Can you do a lvl 10 full highlight root touch up with lvl 6 lowlight I’m finding my lvl 6 doesn’t stick or looks really chunky at the root and transparent at the ends.
If you find that your lowlight look transparent after you applied it on already lightened hair, You would need to add into your lowlight a filling tones of levels you are going down. So if you going from 10 to 6 you need to add at least lvl 8 and 7 into your lvl 6 lowlight too

What kind of shampoo and conditioner does your sister use at home? Because my hair has been through the same amount of bleaching and coloring as hers but her hair really doesn’t look that damaged. ❤️❤️🙏🏻
I feel like filling light hair is something that is missed a lot in educating. Thank you for all you do to educate us.
omg the end result was GORGEOUS! she looks amazing with both colors but she really stands out as a brunette!

Thank you. I followed this to fill my hair and it turned out perfect.
Love love her in the red then the brown. She’s stunning no matter which!
That was so so pretty, she looks beautiful with both colors but that chocolate had great reflection
Brown over blonde for sure!
This was UNBELIEVABLY helpful!!! Thank you so much!

Wow gorgeous. How did you give her those nice waves. Super cute.
Beautiful! 👌

It’s more like twice a year tbh 😂
Oh my gosh! Where are you? I need you to do my hair. I’ve lived here (Austin, Tx) since 2009 and haven’t found anyone that knows what they’re doing!
Love your sister 💖 but she kills it as a brunette!!!
can u please do a slick straight low ponytail with a ton of hairspray?
is that ok?

@jessie I would love to see a video on highlighting curly hair. ☺️
Love your videos!
Yes!!!! Highlighting curly hair would be a great video!!!! It is different than doing straight hair

i love how y'all go blonde, dark, blonde, dark😂
Story of my life as well. LOL. My sister and sister-in-law are colorist so we are always going from blonde to brown to purple LOL.
Wow she looks gorgeous as a brunette

Pretty color! Between the two, I would say blonde but honestly both look great on her!(:

Brunette hair is everything!!!
Hi! Any formula for a brown/copper level 7, I’m debating in use 7n or 7cb with 7 cc what do u think? I don’t want to much red, I want more orangey/ copper
I added a dark brown over blonde highlights without the filler first. What should I do now? It’s muddy looking
This might be silly question, but can you achieve this with a permanent color if that is all that is available? Just mixing different levels of permanent instead ?
How can you go from damaged/breakage/straggly ends bleached blonde hair to brunette?
Extensions. Lol
If I was a blonde before and did my roots at a level 7 then went straight in with level 6/7all over and didn’t fill. At my next time colouring can I apply this filler over top before I do my colour to try to enrich my brunette 😬😬
Very good info thanks for sharing!
Wow what brand of color are you using? It’s taking real nice!
Why don’t you use a scale to measure your color?
I’ve always wondered the same thing! I dont personally either because I feel like I know the texture so maybe she feels the same ??
She’s prob done it so long she can eyeball it. And knowing the consistency. ❤️❤️
Thank you!
lol i feel like these sisters should make a wig line!!!! they change their colour so much it's safer to wear a wig at this point!
I agree! They're all going to end up bald lol
They usually do semi permanent or Demi permanent so it’s so much easier to lift out!!!! ❤️
Super transformations !!!😊
What’s the point of the step one 5N on the roots?
because her roots have grown out at a level 6-7 and if she just toned her at the bowl with the step 3 it wouldnt grab enough on the roots and would fade out.
She has to treat it as a seperate section, if that makes sense x
Looks gorgeous definitely with brown color, better than platinum.
Nice💚
Is it okay to mix your colour ahead like that? Won’t it oxidize
Where can I find these products you used
Every video I research seems to have someone with bleached hair. Do I still have to tone or fill with natural dark blonde hair? I don’t remember having to do this ten years ago…

Love both but the brunette looks healthy and both bring out her features. Amaizing
Beautiful work
What peroxide did you put with the filler?
I would also like to know this to
@@leylajohnson9980 I think it maybe a 10vol, I used 10vol and it came out well
she didn’t use a developer- shades eq comes with a processing solution so that is what she used for the filler! She only used a developer with the base color.
Why couldn't you add the missing tones right into the final color as long as they're lighter in level?
More control of the final color and it helps equalize porosity a bit so the final color sticks better
This is the "proper" way to do it, but really you could just buy a warm toned brown and dye right over the blonde with it without a problem. I've done that many times in my life with good results.
I love your videos 💗💗
she looks so amazing with dark hair👍
Gourgous color!
Makes me nervous you wearing that White top😟😂
Equal parts ? U didn't use a scale to weigh the equal parts though🤔
Now i need a drugstore version
so the roots are technically permanent? you can use shades with a 10 vol? i didn’t know that!
omg! brown is totally her colour!!!
My hair is light brown and i really want to go to chocolate brown/dark brown but im so scared for the outgrow being lighter! The other way around looks better so im scared. Does anyone have tips for me or experience?
thsi girl is her sisters model 😂😂love it🧡

Usually you advice to go brunette until the hair heals and grows back healthy. 2-3 months and then back to blonde
Wow
The blonde color itself is so pretty but her hair looked really damaged. Partial to blonde hair but the brunette looked better overall imo.
Won’t the shades just fade off reguardless if it’s filled bc of it being semi permanent
Yes, eventually.
Great job at explaining the 10 levels to put back in
I couldn't see the filling/red part?

Was your filler a Demi? Semi? Or permanent?
She used shades eq which is pretty much just a demi. Kind of like a toner/glaze
@@TheWangsterGangsters so she is using a Demi to colour her hair brown aswell? Wouldn’t think a Demi would last?
@@sophiexo1685 putting it on dry hair lasts a little longer but it definitely isn’t long term. Depending on how often she washes her hair
@@sophiexo1685 they change their hair so much by the time it start to fade she probably already went blonde lol
Zus voor mooi is bruin haar en blauw oog is mooi.
I like her hair dark.
Idk why but I find the whole newly wed with a baby in the desert kind of hilarious
Wait what? Haha
She looks better as a brunette.. just my opinion ✌️
I thought my hair was damaged then i saw this. Now i don’t feel so bad 🤣🤣
100% BROWN
She had blond short hair
Then long brunette????😮
Would have liked to have seen it without the extensions first.
Looks better as blonde 👱♀️
Brown hands down
she looks better brunette
And younger
Wayyy cuter with shorter blonde hair.
You wearing a white blouse without a smock and coloring her hair is stressing me out. 😂
Was looking forward to seeing an actual after of her real hair. 🙄
She looks beautiful with blonde and brown, but the blonde was cuter
Her Brunette more suit on her
R
😍
All those products are totally unnecessary for that level brunette. I bet you charged her a fortune!
Blond was much more better
