I’m a black girl who’s new to tape ins. I stumbled across this page and the quality of the videos lured me in then i somehow became obsessed with watching these women go blonder lmao. I have 0 desire to be blonde myself but these videos are addicting !!!
Because its more of a ROOT touch up. Her hair at the bottom is already super light, so if you were to recolor that first before the roots, the mids to ends are just going to get even lighter before the roots are done processing. Doing the roots first will lighten them to correct colour to match the ends, then when doing the ends last it will only light a small amount. Its to keep the entire head the same colour at the same time
I also prefer less ashy on myself. I feel like it’s not very popular these days, I just love how it makes me feel when I look in the mirror! There’s something about that bright sunshine ripe wheat colour that sends me! 💛 🌾 👱♀️ 🌞
The lift is amazing with blondme but holy crap a few weeks ago I did a full highlight with blondme and it bled horrifically, never again, apparently goldwell oxycur are coming out with a new lightener? X
I can’t even imagine what you charged for all that. That took forever to do. I know what I’d want you to do charge but I don’t do hair anymore. That was an amazing job with all the detail.
Wouldn’t it lose its potency, though after sitting for any length of time how long can you actually leave it sitting before it loses its strength do you want it to sit for a while so that it does get a little less powerful??
Does it matter what conditioner you use for the ends when toning? Also do you rinse the conditioner out of the mid to ends before you tone or do you just tone on top of the conditioner? Thank you for the video!!!
Have you tried using 30vol? I have 7N base and my (now retired 😢) colorist never needed a toner bright blonde without the yellow and gold. Alas, I am watching this as I prepare to dye my own hair since I’m not happy with every salon refusing to use 30vol and I get the worst color with 20 that requires a toner every time. Sigh!
JESSI!! You need to try this new revolutionary hair product! It’s called K18 and it’s a peptide that can rebuild the hairs keratin chains and disulfide bonds and does not wash out! And all happens in 4 mins!! And it works so amazing! It’s also cheaper than Olaplex but does way more than Olaplex in such little amount of time! It’s literally the best thing to ever happen in the hair industry
The results are also permanent! And you can legit take black colored hair to platinum in one session and the hair will still feel super healthy and strong!
Just a question, why do you mix up your lightener/color before sectioning off your client? I usually wait until I'm absolutely ready to apply lightener/color before mixing up my product that way it's completely fresh.
I think she mixes before sectioning to increase how much swelling happens in the bowl and reduce how much swelling happens on the hair. I think this method leads to greater control of bleach placement, especially when overlapping.
Thanks for the video. You did a beautiful job. The color is gorgeous. She's beautiful with her natural length of hair (Kinda Barbie with the fake hair).
(at home DIY) Honestly olaplex does nothing while hair is processing.. That bleach isnt gonna eat through it an it could leave uneven blonde. olaplex is spot better to use after you did the damage..
Do you reach over yourself because of filming. I see young people keep there table on the left side and they are right handed. That seems harder. Love you channel love your work!!
U r beautiful 😍 💗 and your works reflects u completely ❤ I have lost so much hair due to illness and wish u could do my hair!! I just subscribed to ur channel great work!!
Question 🙋🏼♀️ Does someone that is naturally a level 6 that goes to level 9 do less damage than someone who is naturally level 2 and goes to leavel 9? Like is the amount of damage the same? If not…how can a level 2 go to 9 as safely as a level 6 does?
With olaplex. My natural hair is black and I've done pastel/platinum for many years. It sounds crazy but I leave the bleach on for 2.5-3 hours. Your hair will become dry though but mine was not terrible because I knew how to maintain it.
it does much less damage ...yes it would do more damage to a level 2 its not impossible but it would give you more damage. But also some hair ..lifts differently my hair is like a level 6 the girl in the video is like a level 7 ...but my hair lifts quite well it doesn't seem to have to pull through as much warmth ..maybe because i was blonde as a kid...you would have to leave it on a long time ..or double process.
If it’s level 8+, I’d say just be gentle, add a bond builder & use caution. No matter what that hair is more fragile bc the bonds have been partially broken due to the chemical lightening. Elasticity tests are also extremely helpful.. if the hair doesn’t have that “snap back” it’s def not healthy enough to lighten.
I thought I was the only one who looked at her hair and thought "it's decent blonde at first glance. . . ." but then she moved the hair and my God it's atrocious! This might not be embarrassing if it were a non-licensed person just touching up between salon appointments, but for her to be a professional and have this shotty of work anywhere beyond the parted style of her hair, is diabolical! She is lucky it's a family member, I would ask for my money back to go get it fixed elsewhere! Final results as bad as they were, still not as appalling as how aggressive she was with handling her hair ! Ouuch!! I felt that just watching and was amazed her hair didn't rip out of her scalp at times!
I am so confused. I have been getting my hair bleached for a long time. Decades! Everything you did was wrong! She has horrible roots still showing really badly then you put purple extensions on ash hair. Not trying to knock your work because you put in so much extra work to get this result. But if people don't criticize our work we will not improve.
I think you and Stew should do a monthly prize and give away to your favorite subscribers a chance to win a paid trip to come you see you guys and get our hair done!!! 😍🤩👩🏼

Haha aww thank you so much!!🖤🖤🖤
I too get mesmerized by beauty talent gfriend. I didn't want to go blonde either. She inspired me. I'm a super gold blonde rn and love it.
I'm confused why you would start at the hair line when it is usually the weakest part of the hair and lifts the easiest?
Probably for a bolder money piece ?
My thoughts exactly! Lost me there!

This foil placement is EVERYTHING!! How long on average would you say it takes you to do an application like this??❤️
Depending on how much hair the client has it can be anywhere from 25 - 60 minutes.
@@justjessiiii is that timing by yourself or with an assistant?
With an assistant it goes much faster!
Wait. Not for the whole head right? Those were some tiny pieces!
yup
this video came just in time for a client i have coming in !! you always pull through !! ♥️
Perfect!

Can share with me a video of how to refresh old lightened ends can’t find one

Plz do a video how you lock foils on your client
She looks gorgeous.
this was so informative great video love them longer💗

What did you suggest for retouch on blonde just in the front? From the ears forward 🙃
Love the foils! Love came out fabulous!!✨
Thanks so much! 😊
I always use a board!

The swelling is so sad to me 😭 I love blondme though. Use it for everything.
Do you ship your products to the uk? would love to be able to buy and try them out 🤞🏻😁
We're working on that! I'd love to launch everything in the UK!
Hi queen !!
Did you do a mohawk section?
Are you feathering with different volume and bleach or the same one you used closed to the roots ?
I believe she said at 2:22 that the roots it's 20 volume and the over lap was a 7 volume.
Why would you mix it and leave it sit for 10 mins? You should mix it as soon as you need it Jess! 😅
Approx How long do you leave bleach on her , I’m always nervous when they are so light even with lower volume developer ?
Not too long - I definitely want to make sure the hair is at the level we're looking for without damaging the hair.
What a stunning colour 😍 I love It ...
Thank you! 😊
loved it 🥰 thank you
Why front hairline first?
Is it generally safe to overlap blonde if it’s old enough Blonde and not a level 10?
If it’s level 8+, I’d say just be gentle, add a bond builder & use caution. No matter what that hair is more fragile bc the bonds have been partially broken due to the chemical lightening. Elasticity tests are also extremely helpful.. if the hair doesn’t have that “snap back” it’s def not healthy enough to lighten.
All good info! And I agree - use your best judgement and ALWAYS use a bond builder.
It’s pretty I just don’t like the banding in the back but no one will see it.

Kira looks like Scarlette Johannson. You and your sisters are all so pretty!
aww thank you!
You are amazing.
Wow, thank you!
Good big sister (assuming you’re big sister. U give responsible big sis vibes lol)
Glad I’m not into dating anymore
