Buddha's Delight 罗汉斋, known as Mixed Vegetables, is so easy to make at home. I made it even simpler by steaming them in the pan without blanching. You may use any vegetables you like. Enjoy!

8 oz firm tofu
1 carrot
2 white mushrooms
6 broccoli florets
6 cauliflower florets
8 wood ear mushrooms
8 string beans
8 slices napa cabbage
8 slices cabbage
sesame oil
slurry, made with 1 tsp starch and 1/4 cup water

I ordered this once from a restaurant that closed down due to COVID, and I absolutely loved the dish. They had some different veggies, but it's clearly something that can be easily done at home with veggies of choice. Which also reminds me: thank you for reminding me about wood ear mushrooms! I'm really not a fan of most mushrooms, but wood ear mushrooms are one that I really do like. Not always easy to find, but delicious when I can. Thank you again!
