In today's video we run through a quick installation of the Rough Country Black Series Quad LED POD Lights. These are great for the trail at night, and also offer Amber DRLs to help people see you in the day and at night. The installation was pretty straight-forward, but I did have to redo some of the wiring so that I could use the Rough Country Multiple Light Controller instead of the included rocker switch that I have no place for. Can you share a picture of the wires to the MLC-6 after you cleaned everything up?

Hi! And thank you so much for your video!
I’m having the hardest time figuring out which bracket is left and which is right, and RC has been no help.
One light sits further forward than the other on the bracket, does that light go on the outside edge or the inside? I currently have the brackets with that light sitting on the outside of the vehicle, but not sure if it looks right.
    Thanks for the help!
    Kathy

What I did was go with the bracket that allowed the outside light to sit further back. So my outside lights sit further back than the inner lights. They’re also somewhat adjustable so you have them flush too. Not sure if that helps. I’ll take a pic and post it on my IG account so you can see it how they sit. @atljeepwrangler

How have these lights held up for you? Has the paint faded? Or do they still look and perform like new?

Lights work as new. No paint fade at all but the Jeep is parked in my garage most of the time, so not always in the sun. That’s several years in different elements and weather with zero issues. Would buy again any day.

So did you just put all of the negatives under the same terminal then?

I separated the terminals for the AMBER driving lights, and the actual spreader lights. So I used two banks in my Multi-Light controller. You can share the negative as the positive would still control the actual lights on the switch they provide, or if you use a multi light controller like the MLC. You could also connect everything on the same terminals but then the daytime amber lights would be on with the LED lights.

What wires did you cut out? I am installing the rough country black series 2inch square cree led lights and also have the same switch panel inside but I am struggling with connecting the the wires and knowing what I don’t need to use since I am not using the switch that came with the kit.

I cutout all the wires leading to the switch harness and just kept the wires from the fuse to the cubes. I just ram them to my rough country light controller so I could just turn them on and off from there. The wires can change colors from what a commenter said.

I need to get some footage at night for sure. They are extremely bright. Here’s a pic I took but it doesn’t do it justice instagram.com/p/CEiYhbbjM1i/
