I needed to hear this about enforcing boundaries as a streamer. Thank you so much.
Being a fan of both channels, I am very excited to listen to this whole podcast! Tyvm for the collab, I already love it 🥰
Samesies! Love seeing them vibe. LJM is lucky.
Hey Shady Lady is a dream to talk to (in a group, with respectful boundaries! I don't think my social anxiety could handle one on one hehe). 😎
I love the balance in tips between streaming and creating videos on UA-cam. The part that resonated with me the most is the one about community and us being entertainers rather than friends.
Since I watched this last night, I implemented many of the rules you two follow and asked my mods to do the same. I think the problem with my community and the "difficulty" in following simple rules was the excessive intimacy that my mods provided like telling people "I love you". Yeah we care about each other's well being but excessive intimacy should not be here.
This was a light bulb that will change everything going forward. Thank you.
that's been a big mental shift for me too!! trying to create more of an emotional separation in that way
this was so interesting! your cat at 11:37 had me rolling lmao
i wish she wouldnt EMBARRASS ME IN FRONT OF ALL MY FRIENDS LMAOOO
This stream was so much fun, such a surprise too. Got much respect for the both of you.
Thank you so much.
i'm glad you enjoyed it!!! thank you so much gsign!!
I never expected you guys to Collab! I am so glad you did!
It was such a blast!! Hope you're enjoying the convo!
@@HeyShadyLady okay, the whole Convo with boundaries really hit home! I struggle with that so much in the day to day interactions already. I can't imagine the online pressure you must feel. I think you're doing a great job! It takes time and practice.
I never ever watch videos this long but I ATE THIS UP. I love this chat so much. Thank you both
relation to talking about doing what you love and not doing to the numbers:
I had this issue last year with offering a safe space but the minute I put boundaries up because it turned into a trauma dump pit a lot of people left.
I'm okay with that, I now have a community who is there for creativity and checking in with others and supportive. it makes the difference, I now look forward to streaming again.
the trauma dumping has been a big boundary pusher for me and a huge reason why i really started trying to adjust how i interact with my community
I love the part when Eljay talks about learning your craft, that is so powerful.
I'm unable to stream whenever I want or how I want, because drama aroud my life, so I've been following that advise for a while now.
I started doing theather, in January, been practicing my english on the internet, joined some courses on storytelling and cinema basic since november, and that has made me feel so much more confident about streaming and about all of this.
I'm still strugling with technical stuff and my parents hating what I'm trying to do, since I still live with them, but hey, one step at a time.
Keep on sharing your journeys, it's inspiring and honestly...fun.
That was sooo much inspiration in one podcast! And some stuff I really needed to hear. Thank you! ❤
I'm glad you liked it! 💜
First lol
But for real, I'm still amazed that this stream happened. The conversation between you and Eljay was a great watch/listen as well as insightful.
Heehee... THANK U TURTLES!
I absolutely love this, watching start to finish
I am so grateful for this content. Thank you for creating this. ❤️❤️❤️
I’m a new fan on both channels I can’t believe I’m watching a podcast with the both you 🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾
Love this collab!!
What a great conversation, awesome job to both of you!
thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed!!!
Great video HeyShadyLady. Lots for me to reflect on :) Thank you x
I really wanna visit Australia.
Maybe not permanently, it sounds scary haha, but visit for sure! Y'all are the best with advice for stream AND life. ❤️🔥
Hi Shady! That's a very interesting and insightful podcast, thank you for sharing it with us :D
Can you guys do this again? So interesting and enertaining 🤗
OMG love the 'submit your character' idea! I have future Cattails kittens and RimWorld tribes that need better name ideas. XD
Great idea for smol streamers that don't get enough name suggestions live. And great offline content creation potential, which I'm struggling with. ❤️🔥
I love your glasses! Where are they from?
I'm really glad you made this. It shared some insight and thoughts I was having. Since moving I had to take time off since all my things were in boxes, and main life just isn't stable enough to make certain decisions at the moment. (also hi. hope you are doing well.) I hope the information you shared helps others too !! very nice podcast! and funny how you were able to add in random questions like his zodiac sign XD

Does anyone know of a video talking about how to handle raids? How to introduce yourself, remain calm, how long to take acknowledging the raid, etc.?
i have a video on it here!

Great stuff. Appreciate your work. I'm only about 60% through this video so far, but, I'm really curious for an update about using streamlabs or OBS after that fallout with streamlabs. As someone who wants to start in the next few months, I'm wondering if I should train on streamlabs or OBS. Just curious about how your broadcasting technology situation might have changed.
Yeah, I definitely want to address swapping to OBS! I'm about to finalize all my changes over, so I'll update with a video about that!
@@HeyShadyLady awesome! So excited to hear that!
Keep up the amazing work! 👌
I read the title wrong and thought it said stop listening to him
LMAO CAN YOU IMAGINE hahahaha
Haha. Misreading happens to me a lot, but it's fun when it's funny. 🤣 Love your name! 🐈⬛👑
I definitely do better on tiktok than UA-cam.
