You have no idea how much of a help this was. I have the clips but had no clue where to start or how to begin. I've used your guidance so many times like this and hope you don't stop creating this content.
I spent an hour yesterday making clips in my channel and immediately lost the drive to throw them into da Vinci to cut out the fluff in each of them 😂😂 Can’t wait to try this site out! Thanks for another great video 😊😊😊
I hear you, all my major editing was done with DaVinci. I would use a similar site to this called stream ladder for my short content only if my clips were already 30-60 seconds in length as it made the vertical format with face cam easy. The quality wasn’t as good as editing it alone with DaVinci. I tried this combo site and uploaded a clip and edited and added features so quickly it was uploaded within several minutes. I am actually so impressed with the “send to TikTok” feature as it alerts my phone through TikTok and I can use the mobile features such as music and titles. I would normally upload on my PC and I don’t get any of the mobile features. UA-cam shorts sending option doesn’t do the same thing and it just uploads to UA-cam as you would normally on a PC. I have yet to find a feature that allows me to upload without downloading to my phone and then re uploading. This is a great way !!!
This not only single-handedly convinced me to get into Tiktok, but also FINALLY helped me find my off-stream content niche. Already getting views on TT. Combo is great and takes so much of the stress out, because I hate using mobile-only apps. Blesss youuuuuuuu
You're a lifesaver for this! I've been looking for a tiktok editor that doesn't leave a big watermark on my clips and have been having trouble deciding what editor to use. The new one you suggested at the end of your video has the features I'm used to without having to trim extra sections off my clip in the uploading process. By evaluating two clips that I posted yesterday, your video explained why one of them did well while the other flopped (though I'm still experimenting with a couple things like camera position vs gameplay for the game genre I focus on)
First started to stream 3 days ago and found multiple of your videos for any kinda questions I had and each time you have been a huge help ❤ much love you are doing wonders !

Absolutely appreciate this and that website has to be the BEST one I've seen doing short form content conversion since launching them. That's actually amazing.
well I'm adding this comment because I finally sat down and did what you told me to do and so far I'm making a lot clips and slowing posting them on my tik tok page. Big thanks also for sharing this tool with us I hope it can help me on my journey :)
TikTok is a bit more specific about what you should create, but it also is a better platform for growth and returning viewers, most shorts won't give you returning viewers sadly but will get you lots of easy views that lack intent. Absolutely worth giving it a go!
I am soooo glad you made this! I recently decided to start importing clips, but I've been really lazy about it. But, this has given me the motivation to do things better! I love your content very much! Keep up the awesome work! You've earned yourself a new sub.

I do have a follow-up question, which I believe you covered in a previous video, but I was unable to find it. When should you post these clips to youtube or tiktok? I thought there was optimal days/times where days you weren't streaming. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks again.

Hey I have a question: Should I not publish UA-cam Shorts on my normal UA-cam channel? Would it make my subscribers not as excited for a video I put lots of time in?
Yep, make a shorts channel in my opinion! But also others have done videos where they broke down how it affects the channel, so a quick google you'll find more detail.
I've been toying with the idea of doing editing but can't find the time to learn it at the moment so this would be a perfect starting point to learn the basics of making a good clip!
These are really good pieces of advice, I starting to stream more regularly and using TikTok for the first time in a while and I’m getting an ok amount of views and likes but I’m gonna use these tips to help increase my exposure
I’m loving the “spicier” Eljay we’re getting after your break 😅 Thanks for doing these videos! I, and I’m sure so many others, are so thankful for your insight and tips and tricks. Now to get off my butt and go do them!
Thanks for the lovely comment! I hope I’m not being too harsh hahaha It isn’t a choice I’ve made, I think I’m maybe being a bit more… realistic hahaha Hope the videos continue to help! :)
@@StreamScheme no no I love it! It feels more genuine. Not to say your videos weren’t genuine before, of course. But these are clearly videos done by someone who is going through the same thing every content creator goes through. And I’m glad to see you sharing it!
Don’t have TikTok but will definitely give it a go made a yt short clip and got 200+ views and I am well happy about that 😀 keep up the good work thanks.
Thanks Eljay for the tips! I would also just like to say that instead of going back on your VODs to check for clips you can use a notebook, or something of the sort to write down time stamps on your stream and then go back on your VODs to those time stamps.
Or just hit a hotkey to clip moments is much faster, but also if you're only looking at the moments you thought were good you'll probably miss a lot of potentially fantastic moments. And you won't be reviewing your own vod to see where you can improve.
Good video man! 2 questions 1) I know you're a variety streamer, when it comes to growth on Tiktok or mostly any platform being niche can benefit for growth. If you have a good tiktok about Elden Ring, but then you post a tiktok of Pokemon Arceus. Will people watch Arceus since they possibly expect Elden Ring? 2) Do you think # was part of a reason why you got more views or less views in clips?
Hashtags are important for relevancy and getting it in front of the right people, but at the same time it really is the core content that will make it work long term in the algo, as far as I know. As for the first question, absolutely niche will always crush it, and as a Variety streamer on every platform, I am always going to have to work much harder than a niche creator. The trick is to just do the best and consistently as I can, and infuse my personality into every single upload... which is all easier said than done.
@@StreamScheme well said my friend. Keep up the good work. I love the content. question, you do mention planning before streams, do you write down what to talk for hours on stream?
nice thing about combo is that even if you are not streaming and recording using software, you can upload the vid, and now you have the option to put auto subs through their AI
Good tips as always ElJay! I was having problems with Convo exporting to Tiktok and want to point out that it doesn't work properly on the browser version of Tiktok. You need to use the app on the phone! But the connection and exporting to YT is perfect and works just fine via browser. Also, if anyone is having problems with the video not working after splitting the video and deleting part of the clip in Combo, if you grab the layer(s) and move it just a bit, it should work fine then. No idea why it does that, but jiggling the layers a bit seemed to work for me. :D
Oh I would never bother using the browser version of TikTok, it lacks all the features that are important to getting the TikToks out there. Big part of why I didn’t even cover the browser. Glad you’ve got it working!
Small Streamer, went through a tough time with Covid and life in general. Been watching these videos to see if I can build myself back up. So thanks for the tips and Ideas. Setting a firm schedule again. going back to Noon eastern again, also applying other tips I seen here again
Ive been doing stand up comedy for 11 years, this aint nothing, you click a button to support some rando, we're used to driving over an hour for 0 pay to perfom in front of 4 regular people and other aloof comics. Art is a process, just not a pretty one. Appreciate you being among the few with integrity.
Thank you so much for making this video!!! this is truly some exciting stuff! I'm beyond excited to see what the app's future looks like! great breakdown of everything! you have helped me tremendously on my content creation journey!
This is going to be a very weird question and I totally understand if I don't get an answer (Took me a good 10 minuets to even take the leap to ask, the worst that can happen is no response which is understandable since you have a lot of comments to go through). Let's say my goal isn't to grow on Twitch (if it happens later down the line, cool, but that's not the point of it), but for two things; Streaming the whole Main Story Quest for Final Fantasy 14 for friends who can't get the game (saving the vod on Twitch to be watched later, the whole thing) and to use twitch to learn what works to creating art assets as an artist trying to get commissions in so I can focus more on Art History/ Art history discussions/ Art world discussions videos on UA-cam (not an art commentary channel as that's a completely different catagory.). Do you think it's a good idea on videos I'm not streaming the main story quest game to use twitch as a way to teach myself to speak to an audience, and if you have any suggestions on hiding the viewer count while I stream from the ps4 directly (like finding a way to use a napkin or non-sticky adhesive tape like washi tape), or the best way is to just try to ignore it the best I can and just hope for the best of me not focusing on it? (My computer and PS4 use the same TV as the screen and I switch sources and I use my iPad as my switch board for Lightstreams. I also found suggestions to just rid that side bar for PS4 streaming, but that also takes away the chat feature and you can't have one or another).
Almost everyone is better than me to be honest hahaha I suck at most things and fail a lot, the only reason I’ve grown is because I don’t give up and I learn from my mistakes. Keep crushing it dude!
I've got a question I started posting youtube shorts will it be bad to post exactly the same clip to TikTok or should I try to split different clips between the two platforms?
I’ve seen a good amount of people stream to TikTok and twitch at the same time. The TikTok layout is a similar format as this and twitch is regular. Do you know people are able to do this?
This was an excellent watch! I'll give joincombo a shot, but I've gotten very used to just editing my tiktoks and shorts on Davinci Resolve so I can add some extra flare (Sometimes I don't realize my game audio kinda drowns me out). I'm definitely going to need to work on getting better clips though, my clip game needs to be better, lol. Thank you for the video homie
I used to have a professional editor edit tiktoks for me, all the flare, polish, and effort made them AMAZING.... but they never got traction TikTok really don't care about polish or flare, they just want quick, timewasting, retention rate baiting content to make them slightly feel something hahaha Hope the video helps mate! Good luck!
@@StreamScheme if you're available, wanted to ask, what I've been doing is kinda branching out the kind of content I do on different platforms. I usually put gameplay clips up on UA-cam, while I do stories and music lessons from streams on Tiktok. do you think that's a smart idea, or should I do both forms of videos on both platforms?
7:39 I was looking at your TikToks as I'm watching the UA-cam video and none of the videos you were stating came out as 5 to 8 second videos. Can you clarify what you meant when you said you tried the 8 second video? Also how did the video at 8:22 come out as 17 seconds? It says 33 seconds in your video and on TikTok... If you could clarify, I will greatly appreciate it 🤝🤝
Hey! Great video, would you be open to talking about how to go about planning more "clippable" moments? I may just be extra hard on myself, but I tend to only find 4-5 shareable clips per stream, so the 20-30 gives me a long way to go
I don't think you're hard on yourself I think this guy's just easy on himself I don't mean to sound like an asshole i just think he gos this is funny to him and posts it even when its not like alot of people do that sadly
@@IGoByBeastbb 9 Months late but didn't see this! It's actually because I spend hours before I go live planning out potentially clippable funny moments. If I see an oppourtunity for a funny moment, I specifically set it up mid stream, and let it play out organic. Mess up boss fights right when you claim its far too easy of a game, say you've never fallen in jump king, then fall. It's a huge amount of work, and not easy. :)
I've been using Stream Ladder this whole time, but after watching this I'm definitely switching to JoinCombo! Also, is there a specific number of times a day you should upload? I don't stream too many hours so I'm worried I won't have enough good clips.
If you do an hour stream, it’s about making good content in that hour, I’ve found I can get a dozen good clips in an hour. As for posting, start with once a day if you can but if you have enough go to twice a day. Don’t focus on amount, try to consider quality as well.
Do you suggest making Tiktoks & YT shorts as just a thing of their own and grow it seperately as another thing to diversify? Or do you think it can funnel people to twitch etc?
Personally a lot of people just crosspost the two, but I don't see Shorts as overly powerful so I don't bother. A whole new dedicated channel is required so the shorts don't hurt your real videos, and often Shorts viewers never convert to even subscribing to your channel, let alone coming back to watch longer content. That said I think one of the major mistakes creators make is looking at everything as a funnel to get twitch viewers, it needs to provide value first, build an audience on a platform first, and if the content is good enough they'll convert across to other platforms as well. That said, for my TikTok, I don't actively push for Twitch viewers, I actually just use my UA-cam channel as my bio links because I think most of the time TikTok viewers won't be in the right timezone to watch me, so its better to send them to a UA-cam channel they can watch any time of day to convert them.
Quick question!! I'm recovering from an injury - so achieving about 2 hrs max a stream atm. Am I aiming for 30 clips in there? Just working it out, cos thats a lot, and perhaps I need to plan more!
Just stumbled on your vid and enjoyed it. Really curious on when and how often you posted on TikTok to get these results? Once a day, multiple times a day? Was there certain days to post or certain day NOT to post, or every day? Were there better times of the day to post? Any thing along those lines that you'd recommend?
I have shifted over to UA-cam shorts because they tend to reward higher quality content, so I no longer post but I was posting daily. Not because it rewards daily, but because it rewards consistently. Shorts I post higher quality original content every second day, and have seen much better success, full video on that soon.
@@StreamScheme thanks! I have a goal in 2023 to start posting daily, or a minimum of M-F, as well as posting that same short form vertical content to all platforms; TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and UA-cam. Seems like it wouldn't hurt and once it's created it's simple to cross post.
I totally agree :) But at the same time, most streamers are variety and they already hate tiktok for some strange reason. So I am trying to give them the tools to start creating, and pushing their content.
Question: If I'm using a PNGtuber, would this even be that good to use? I'm using a PNGtuber for now until I'm able to make my own vtuber avatar, but I don't know if just having a picture that sometimes opens its mouth is worth trying to make a TikTok out of.
I will definitely have to try social media if I want to make something out of my stream... Last week I made it to Affiliate thanks to friends supporting me, but now I'm gonna be on my own and I want to make things right (without the irrational urge to reach Affiliate on my shoulders). Now it's time to begin studying your content properly and putting it to practice LOL
hi!! i love your videos, they have helped me so much!! i started streaming in december and i now have 27 followers with 3.5 average veiwers and sometimes up to 10 people watching at a time 😊!! i was just wondering if the amount i stream is affecting my growth? i stream twice a week at the same times for around 1.5 hours and i’m actually starting to see my veiws drop in the past month or so and a max of 2-3 veiwers per stream? i was wondering if you had any extra tips for a situation like this?
Hey Eljay, do you know a website like Combo Resources that works with UA-cam Clips? I stream only to YT/FB atm, and notice I can only connect my twitch account. thanks!
As theLousyGitarist my sole purpose is playing horror games, stream it on twitch and after this im going to transform my current youtube channel for the people who missed it. but people dont like seeing scaredy cats on Twitch i geus haha. still going strong and try
Hey! I followed your advice and started posting twitch highlights on TikTok. My first viedo got over 4k views but it also got a lot of negative/hurtful comments, what do you suggest to handle that? Should I disable comments, delete the comments, or keep them up there and ignore them? Thank you for all of your videos!
What a great video, thank you. One, maybe dumb question, but how do you get people from tick-tock to twitch. Is there a link or spot in your profile that makes sense?
There is a space, but my personal opinion is that if you make content purely with the mindset of hoping to drive traffic to another platform you’ll fail. You need to focus purely on building a platform, growing an audience, and they’ll naturally convert if they like it.
I haven't seen much correlation to amount I upload a day for growth, so I didn't include it but others have said 2 times a day is best, but personally I try just at least release 1 a day. #earlygang
@@StreamScheme Great to know, adding to this, how about Shorts. Same tactic + does uploading through Mobile work better than Desktop? Sorry for all the questions, but I'm trying to understand the platforms a bit better. #oldfart.
@@ItsJovanaar If it is a brand new channel with no connection to the channel you post longer videos to then no harm, but if you have actual videos they can cause harm to those. That said, cross posting is fine, I just find the platforms very different, I try not to spread my focus and instead just target one to do well on.
I have a video called 32 tips for streaming to 0 viewers, and in that video I cover a tip about recording yourself for 10 minutes a day, I really recommend watching that video and following that tip specifically. It will take you the distance!
@@StreamScheme ha same!! hearing their scream/eye stare can stop me in my tracks and look down to start digging lol. I enabled jump scares during my streams too - so people often try and get me with the sounds O_o. Great video btw I saved it so when I get home will check out the site.
I like this channel a lot. You've helped me get off the floor and get back to creating content again. Be it Twitch, and now Tiktok starting tonight. It's more important than ever to diversify your content. Thank you. Subscribed!

This is a great way !!!
you know what i like about this guy ... he just real , genuine
i dont comment often but this video was SO helpful! thank you so much !!
Another great vid
Dude your content is so informative! I'm going to try all this out. Thanks!
Join Combo doesn't work anymore

Yes, this video is from a while ago :)
Early Squad!! Happy to be here for the tips! :D
Hope they help! #earlygang
I've been toying with the idea of doing editing but can't find the time to learn it at the moment so this would be a perfect starting point to learn the basics of making a good clip!
You got this, Noodle! :)
These are really good pieces of advice, I starting to stream more regularly and using TikTok for the first time in a while and I’m getting an ok amount of views and likes but I’m gonna use these tips to help increase my exposure
welcome back!
I’m loving the “spicier” Eljay we’re getting after your break 😅
Thanks for doing these videos! I, and I’m sure so many others, are so thankful for your insight and tips and tricks.
Now to get off my butt and go do them!
Thanks for the lovely comment! I hope I’m not being too harsh hahaha
It isn’t a choice I’ve made, I think I’m maybe being a bit more… realistic hahaha
Hope the videos continue to help! :)
@@StreamScheme no no I love it! It feels more genuine. Not to say your videos weren’t genuine before, of course. But these are clearly videos done by someone who is going through the same thing every content creator goes through. And I’m glad to see you sharing it!
Holy Poop! Eljay, I just tried that app out! DAMN!
thank you for that one dude. It's wicked!
@@StreamScheme Yes that is also really true. But it does help.
@@StreamScheme 8 months later but do you know what program i would use to assign a hot key to save a time stamp in the vod?
Good video man!
2 questions
1) I know you're a variety streamer, when it comes to growth on Tiktok or mostly any platform being niche can benefit for growth.
I love the content.
question, you do mention planning before streams, do you write down what to talk for hours on stream?
nice thing about combo is that even if you are not streaming and recording using software, you can upload the vid, and now you have the option to put auto subs through their AI
love your tips, love your content
thank you once again kind gentleman
Thank you very much for the tips! I just had an idea thanks to this. I hope it works🙏😊 and #earlygang
Best of luck! :)
Phenomenal content sir. I will absolutely take advantage
Posting to tictok or youtube shorts is something I've really wanted to do but I hadn't had any idea how to go about it. I'll try this out!
Now that yt finally gave clips to smaller creators this advice is easier for me to implement 😭🥳
Btw this is probably the most helpful vid I have ever seen to help content creators
Great video dude!
Great video once again my guy
Glad you enjoyed it
This is going to be a very weird question and I totally understand if I don't get an answer (Took me a good 10 minuets to even take the leap to ask, the worst that can happen is no response which is understandable since you have a lot of comments to go through).
For the first time ever...I can say I'm better at something than Eljay and I feel so accomplished cause I learned it from him :')
Almost everyone is better than me to be honest hahaha I suck at most things and fail a lot, the only reason I’ve grown is because I don’t give up and I learn from my mistakes.
Keep crushing it dude!
which device like iPhone or MacBook/pc best for clips efficiency, productivity?
I've got a question I started posting youtube shorts will it be bad to post exactly the same clip to TikTok or should I try to split different clips between the two platforms?
Re-posting is only bad if you don’t consider what you’re posting, does it use TikTok captions? Sounds? Etc likely won’t work as a short.
@@StreamScheme ok thanks
I’ve seen a good amount of people stream to TikTok and twitch at the same time. The TikTok layout is a similar format as this and twitch is regular. Do you know people are able to do this?
This was helpful. I’m not a certified gamer but I’m gonna use this on my videos!
I used to have a professional editor edit tiktoks for me, all the flare, polish, and effort made them AMAZING.... but they never got traction TikTok really don't care about polish or flare, they just want quick, timewasting, retention rate baiting content to make them slightly feel something hahaha
Hope the video helps mate! Good luck!
@@StreamScheme if you're available, wanted to ask, what I've been doing is kinda branching out the kind of content I do on different platforms. I usually put gameplay clips up on UA-cam, while I do stories and music lessons from streams on Tiktok. do you think that's a smart idea, or should I do both forms of videos on both platforms?
that clip software is so sweet, thanks!!
Glad you like it!
I haven't watched the video yet but I'm excited to learn!
Wow, great Video. Thanks and best regards from Germany
thanks for the video & I just started streaming on TikTok and twitch!!
7:39
I was looking at your TikToks as I'm watching the UA-cam video and none of the videos you were stating came out as 5 to 8 second videos.
Can you clarify what you meant when you said you tried the 8 second video? Also how did the video at 8:22 come out as 17 seconds? It says 33 seconds in your video and on TikTok...
If you could clarify, I will greatly appreciate it 🤝🤝
Thank you, this is super helpful and a great tool added to my belt!
Heck yeah! I'm glad!
Hey! Great video, would you be open to talking about how to go about planning more "clippable" moments?
I may just be extra hard on myself, but I tend to only find 4-5 shareable clips per stream, so the 20-30 gives me a long way to go
I'd be curious about this as well, and as always thank you for your content Eljay!
Awesome video thanks dude definitely gunna give this a go
Hope it goes well!
You can also set up hot keys for clips
Excellent advice. Going to give this a try.
@@StreamScheme Sounds good, thank you! 😊
I'm learning a lot from your videos. thanks for your content and help.
Anyone unable to pull their eyes away from the creepy dude in the back left? Is it Danny Devito?
He's always watching...
this is such a cool site! Thank you for sharing!
It really is!
@@StreamScheme appreciate the in depth reply.
Quick question!! I'm recovering from an injury - so achieving about 2 hrs max a stream atm. Am I aiming for 30 clips in there? Just working it out, cos thats a lot, and perhaps I need to plan more!
This video was extremely helpful. Thank you! 🙏🏾
I'm glad, thanks Ersklusive! :)
Hi Eljay, glad to see that you are fine.
I am doing great mate! Hope you are too!
So much massive info! Thank you!
It's more easier to grow on tiktok if you upload content for a particular niche c: for example: gaming, dancing, cooking, etc...
Yes, you just need to focus on making the TikToks fit your style. Plenty of Pngtubers and Vtubers make amazing TikToks.
I stream only to YT/FB atm, and notice I can only connect my twitch account.
thanks!
Combo let’s you upload clips as well, just download clips from YT and upload them to combo.
As theLousyGitarist my sole purpose is playing horror games, stream it on twitch and after this im going to transform my current youtube channel for the people who missed it. but people dont like seeing scaredy cats on Twitch i geus haha. still going strong and try
I've finished the video now and just for reference I am at 25 followers and gonna try this out, I will comment how it went on the next video!
Hey! I followed your advice and started posting twitch highlights on TikTok. My first viedo got over 4k views but it also got a lot of negative/hurtful comments, what do you suggest to handle that? Should I disable comments, delete the comments, or keep them up there and ignore them? Thank you for all of your videos!
Not much you can do, no point fighting them or arguing, I tend to ignore them.
Herris Heller is POG. between you and him, that is all i need
@@StreamScheme sounds great. Thanks!
Hi! Do you also know if uploading everyday, twice or more per day or only a few times per week also matter on TikTok?
I haven't seen much correlation to amount I upload a day for growth, so I didn't include it but others have said 2 times a day is best, but personally I try just at least release 1 a day. #earlygang
@@StreamScheme Great to know, adding to this, how about Shorts. Same tactic + does uploading through Mobile work better than Desktop? Sorry for all the questions, but I'm trying to understand the platforms a bit better. #oldfart.
@@ItsJovanaar Personally I don't bother with shorts, so far I haven't seen a reason to use them. It might change, but they just don't convert I find.
@@StreamScheme What's the harm in them though? It's putting the same content out there in multiple places without any added work.
@@ItsJovanaar If it is a brand new channel with no connection to the channel you post longer videos to then no harm, but if you have actual videos they can cause harm to those.
That said, cross posting is fine, I just find the platforms very different, I try not to spread my focus and instead just target one to do well on.
I usually struggle trying to get clips to share mostly because I'm so self conscious of everything
I have a video called 32 tips for streaming to 0 viewers, and in that video I cover a tip about recording yourself for 10 minutes a day, I really recommend watching that video and following that tip specifically. It will take you the distance!

I like this channel a lot. You've helped me get off the floor and get back to creating content again. Be it Twitch, and now Tiktok starting tonight. It's more important than ever to diversify your content.
