Yay I'm glad! I was so worried the whole time I was editing like "is this completely pointless" lmaooo. It's been an existential kinda week I guess 😂😭
One thing I’d like to point out, once this is all set up, it doesn’t gurantee 1000 overnight. But have real life friends come maybe 2-3, and then if ya stick to it, over time, comunity eventually you I’ll stick out: I need to remember this lol

@@rockkandyartarchives8020 I have been procrastinating for so many years ... starting a blog in 1998 ... starting a vlog ... etc ... I have been in tech my whole life ..I know how to do stuff but when doing stuff for myself I am lost in the details ... like ... "who am I , really?" .... do I even have anything important to say ... or am I interesting enough to keep working at it? Then getting closer .. after I make a website and a logo and decide all is good ... I lose interest in the idea .... maybe I really do have adhd ... now I may be able to talk about adhd e.g. how messed up my life gets and has become due to bad planning ... lol ... or art / feelings / energies / spiritual stuff ... very woo stuff ... so then I may appear crazy if co workers found my woo material .... I could be called a con______ theorist .. ... and then get canceled .... muzzuled ... . around and round we go .... I really feel like I.ve been stuck and the same ol same ol keeps playing through time ... time marching on ... one disaster or disease after the other to distract and demotivate ... Thanks to all who are out there helping others find a voice and a purpose ... but I feel some purposes are being canceled at this time .... things are the craziest they have ever been... stay sane ... best of times / worst of times ...
Love the way you explain the process AND show us. It's definitely not too overwhelming when you break it down like this. You've definitely inspired me to start "fixing" my brand and making it more cohesive.

I just switched from SLOBS to OBS, and would find the tutorial videos very helpful! My artist I commissioned for overlays set everything up for me but I would love to learn to do it myself as well!

Thank you for this! It was a little confusing at first, because the version of the site now has the icons all greyed out so I thought I wasn't allowed to use them! Is there a way to design something from scratch without a template?

Fantastic guide, I think my problem right now is my "brand" is kinda all over the place and constantly changing, when i want/need to settle down on what thing. This definitely helped me get in the right direction.
As of right now this is what I have (that needs to change)
1. My name, i love it. JockyRhonson, I got this by taking a wrestler's name (Rocky Johnson) and swapping the R in Rocky and J in Johnson around, then putting the h before the o in Rohnson. Which makes me think my brand should probably be wrestling related.
2. My logo (as of right now) is based on the Superman logo, except it's a J for "Jocky" instead of the S for Superman because PHEW i could get sued.
3. I haven't settled on any backgrounds, overlays, etc which is what i'm currently focusing on. Need to come up with something engaging and unique which is quite hard when EVERYTHING has been done by someone at least once, which to that i guess the idea is to do it better than the rest. Hopefully i come up with something, and if you or anyone have any ideas throw em my way.

Well, I know what I’m doing this weekend.
i made my whole setup on place it. i picked the animal crossing themed slides and used free websites for backgrounds of the scenes and used the same colors and fonts throughout all. i was a bit self concious about the watermarks though but im getting over it.
It's at least a good place to start in the beginning and you can hopefully upgrade over time to custom art, or premium packs with no water marks :D

how did u get the free download 4 logos? n everthing?
Hi first of all thank you for all the useful information you share. I have got a lot out of this video. However, I use OBS so I am left wondering, do I need to swap to streamlabs obs? to be able to have alerts and things on my stream? or can I just keep my obs? If I can keep obs how do I set up alarms without having to swap it out as my streaming software?
OBS works jsut as well as SLOBS honestly! (I'm actually going to be swapping back to OBS soon because it's less bloated and takes up less RAM)
you'll need to add a "browser source" to your scene, and put in the URL from either streamlabs or streamelements or whichever site you use for alerts. if you need help finding that, shoot me a DM somewhere (twitter, insta or discord!) so i can send you some screencaps!

I have a question: for the text on the overlay (like recent subscriber) do you have to update that every time? or is it automated
You can add something called a "stream label" through streamlabs (im not sure of the exact name thru streamelements but they have it as well!) Which will automatically update with the new name of the follower/subscriber/etc.
The title itself (new follower, or w/e you choose) you'll have to add as a separate text source, or build into the overlay

So, there are no longer any stinger transitions on nerd or die, so not quite sure where to go from here? Happy to pay for one but not sure what exactly I am looking for

Hi! I made a logo I really like on placeit, but I connot figure out how to download the free watermarked version. It only gives me two purchase options :( It just gives me the option to buy the single logo for like $30ish or pay $12 a month
I know I am using a free logo as it is the same one you started out with. Any ideas?
The link for the free version is SUPER easy to overlook! It's very small text underneath the blue button that says "buy ONLY this logo for $X"

You may have to settle down for the "save up for a pc" grind, BUT you could also start streaming via your cellphone, or getting a webcam to go with your xbox/ps4.
