I just clicked on your link and order your book can't wait for it to arrive. I've been checking out your videos and now getting the book will really help me learn micro trading the right way. I just had my first experience with a live futures account and boy was the action so fast. Without a plan to trade futures you could lose your money real fast. No doubt. Micro futures is the right way to start off. Thanks for all you do.
You are very right, the Micro 'slow things down' a bit in terms of limiting gain/loss amounts as you learn. Practice trade is key to gaining confidence. I mention this in many of the videos, but I personally don't trade at the 9:30 am day session opening (that's Easter time), the volatility is often very high and there is often a large up and down -before the market settles down a bit, after maybe 10 to 20 minute into the day session. Use your own judgement of course.

I think that you are excellent. I trade on a large scale with multiple contracts and I use your precise MACD system and I think its all anyone needs. I will run a 3 min and 5 min set up and take the oversolds below -20 or less.

There is a 'win-rate' versus "win amounts / losing amounts" table in my book. I would like to elaborate a bit for you: Most people (well.. a lot of them) think in terms of a FIXED formula approach; they believe, for example: that if they have a win rate of 55% and they 'gamble' with a fixed stop loss of $15 and use a win target of $30 (2:1) that some how they magically will make a lot of money. While it is advisable to be mindful of those things, a simple set of FIXED numbers that will work and always produce net profits DOES NOT EXIST. If it did, we could just program our computer to make the trades and we'd all get rich with no experience or work at all. There is no 'free lunch' and no such formula (although there are plenty of shysters on the internet selling 'trading systems' who will be glad to take your money - and send you his/her 'secrets.' When you see an offer like that, put your hand over your wallet and run the other way! Now, let me try to supplement this post with some 'good news' for you: I just put up a new video yesterday (it's free of course) - that describes and discusses the goal of 'gaining confidence' in your trading. This video expresses some thoughts and suggestions that I hope traders will find useful. Good question, Carlos: Your software does not have to have a paper-mode for you to practice trade. In a video (link coming up), I show how one can make a screen shot and print it out and put it into one's trade journal. I note how/why this can be much better than a simple ledger / spreadsheet method (the 'old way'.) I actually find I am trading less in this high volatility. I am also minding my stops (both mental and hard-stops) very carefully. There seems to be more intraday reversals than earlier in the year. Are you using the same settings I recommend. and the guidelines about MACD buy/sell signals using the zero line/ If not, watch the videos. Having said that, the markets are quite volatile just now. Have you done the 25 practice trades? Wish I could say more, but no way for me to know what you are doing, so it's hard to comment. Good luck and stay well. - don
Simple: Because this channel in only about trading Micro E-Minis. A great many viewer here are beginners and I only teach one thing here and use the same setup, so it is easier for beginners to understand the many differences between futures trading and stock (and other types ) of trading. I guess you could say it is 'the lane we stay in here' and of course there are many other opportunities out there. To try and teach people to Day Trade the Micro E-minis does not require they learn about "all futures" trading but when done they will have a basic background and can expand from there if it pleases them to do so.
