  • REM stands for 'Rapid Eye Movement'.
REM sleep is one of the four primary stages of sleep: N1, N2, N3, and REM sleep.
Your eyes move rapidly back and forth under your closed eyelids 20-25% of the night.
REM sleep is associated with vivid and memorable dreaming and memory consolidation.

fascinating. it’s also interesting that dogs have rem sleep but they’re not paralysed like us cause they do that running movement while they’re sleeping/dreaming

Indeed, it's fascinating how sleep and dreaming behaviors vary across different species!

I always wondered what the eyes look like during REM sleep. This is pretty cool.

Thanks. I can't believe there aren't anymore videos about REM in person.

Im recording me while sleeping. My eyes doesn't move like that. Instead, they looks like a demon is trying to escape through my eyes.
