    its total BS. he got caught multiple times cheating in one tournament, how many times do you think he got away with it? its easy to apologise after you get caught.

    It continues to boggle my mind why these cheaters aren't just thrown out and banned. TOs and judges should grow some more spine. His excuses as being "bad at reading" or "misunderstanding rules" are unacceptable in these levels of play. Redemption goes so far, and examples have to be set.

    The scores in BCP don't feature the shadow round, that's why you aren't seeing the -10points I think.

    Plan and simple, he was caught cheating in the past and again now. He should be banned by GW

  • @DaRedWunzGoFasta
    @DaRedWunzGoFasta Місяць тому +4

    The shadow round is not scored in the overall results, that's why you don't see the 10 point drop. Honestly, the TO should have kicked him from scoring competition right there. He already had a yellow card before that, and *blatantly* broke the rules for 6 rounds.
    As I said in my video on Sunday, he screwed over not only the 9 players he played, but also the winners/finalists of all of the other events who will never get recognition in a WarCom article, White Dwarf, etc.

    He is sorry because he got caught red handed. Plain and simple. If nobody brought this up, you think he will forfeit his ticket? BS. Mind you, he knows how to play 40k competitevely. Screw him. Ban 1 year then let see if he changes or not.

      @@Happykrumpingwargaming007this time is the problem, how many other event has this cheating prick “misread” (cheated) the rules and got away with it screwing his opponents out of potential prizes? He’s the sort of player we don’t need in the hobby, a WAAC cheat.

    Next Tournament I go to I will have to "misread" that my Hive Tyrant has toughness 14, 20 wounds (bio titan stats) and Ill run Hive Guard but hide them while putting the HT out in the open and state that its invulnerable like it was with 9'ths rules.
    If I get called out Ill say "Oh my bad, guess I was a bit sloppy with that one"
    And all will be magically good again! 😅
    What a joke, not only with the apology but the egg on the judges faces and on the Tournament itself is laughable.
    Events like this have to be ran better, 40k is well past amateur hour, things like this are a bad stain on the game.
    Also, the problem is that the opponents have given the handshake, as in he won and progressed and eventually won the tournament, he was under no obligation to retrospectively dq himself, he could have kept all winnings and really shown how bad the system is!
    Just my 2 cents... 😊

    Well, it's kinda strange. Like I'm no pro player but I know most of my lists and when I don't know I look at datasheet. How is it possible in such big tournaments? like for sure he played at least few times before going to a tournament.

  • @kurzor0007

    Do tournaments like Tacoma or the tournaments you go to rule terrain to have blocked windows?
    I see a lot of tactices and terrain rules videos claiming "Most tournaments rule to have blocked windows in the ground floor" but I can't find the latest and relevant tournament packs to support this claim
    Thanks in advance

    • @Happykrumpingwargaming007
      @Happykrumpingwargaming007  Місяць тому +3

      yes, almost every tournament around rules first floor windows are closed. WTC has gone so far as to remove the windows from the terrain they make on the first floors

      i mean you have to read your tournament pack, because when i say almost* that what i mean. I am sure you can find a random tournament using UKTC that also wants windows to be open, itll just be rare

      @Happykrumpingwargaming007 thanks!
      Yes, my local 40k scene is one of those tournaments that plays with windows open, or WYSIWYG terrain but majority of the terrain have open windows
      It's near impossible to play armies like SoS Blood Angels in our local tourneys when most of the other players just play the shooting factions while the rest of us have been lobbying our TOs to rule that the ground floor should at least be blocked windows 😅

    I know Scott, we live pretty close to each other and play in a lot of the same events. He has been doing work since the Sisters dex came out lol. Anyway, dude is just one of the best people. Such a nice, awesome guy. Couldn't be happier to see someone win Tacoma, after coming off a big win at Battle for the Capital in Lansing MI a few weeks ago too. Dude deserves it. Can't wait to see what he does at world champs.

    The apology may be real, but the players that received losses due to his "misplays" had their tournament chances ruined and that's a tough pill to swallow. While it's tough to say whether or not this would have significantly changed the outcomes of games, it may have affected future matchups, which could have affected his overall win loss, and the overall winner. He ended up obliterating a 1k person tourney.

    I agree with you on your thoughts about forgiveness. Please accept my appology as i get a little chessy.
    Forgiveness comes from love. I've learned love to mean, "i want you to grow and i want to help however i can safely. "
    Safely in this case may mean not playing against them again. It might mean not participating in tournaments with them. It's all about what you think you can mentally handle.

    It’s a thing where we play with our toy soldiers
    This is not real life!
    Did he do a dirty?
    Yeah!
    But it’s done, it’s on him to live with the consequences of his actions, we all just need to move on
    EDIT: It's not that I don't understand, we have invested thousands of dollars and hours of time, we go to these events in good faith to have a good time AND to see how well we can do with our armies, and what he did was a total trash move - fair enough he's finally let his senses to reset and try to make amends, but what is needed is to move on - let the event TOs take away from this experience and hopefully devise a better way to address such issues moving forwards, and let this serve as a warning to those who want to game the system vs playing the game, but it's time to collectively move onwards and forwards - and let that dude pay for his own sins and hope he comes back better for this

The fame to me is EXTREMLY real life linked. I saved money through out most of 9th ed to build an army, the Had to change it for 10th index, to then had codex rules changes tell me that l need FW. And l aint buying a 200$ tank (with import tax and 23%VAT) on a 550$ salary, never mind 2 or 3.
