Just wanted to let you guys know i decided to try the triple norn list for a 105 person major this weekend. And will be making a tournament recap video on how it goes!
Yay! Peak content! Been always gunning for Synaptic Nexus since the codex drop. Glad to see other people excited about it! Been running an assimilator in it since you sold it to me back in your last serie. Lovin it. With the +1 str now pushing it at str 13 in melee is huge. Also trying to shove a Tervigon in there. With the -1 dmg enhancement, access to AoC and a little friendly Psychoĥage by her side, she's sticking around for sure.
Exactly what I was looking for and UA-cam finally connected the dots. Thank you. I’ll have to post my list somehow. Can’t run the double malceptor or toxicrine though: don’t have the models.
Thanks really excited to be back! My ripper has grown to finally be not quite all time consuming. I'm going to a GT next weekend and then September have 2 different Majors so will finally be really playing again
Sweet. I like the idea of a parasite with no 12" DS aura. Basically untouchable (holding home) from any 3-9" DS shooting and charges into it out of DS are 12". lone op!
Something I think you didn't mention in the video is the fact that you will need to be extra careful against opponents that picks War of Attrition Secret mission since you run 0 battleline units. So you either need to tweak the list to add a minimum size battle line unit (Like a 10x Gargoyles that can come from reserves on round 5 on a safe spot outside your deployment zone and are generically good in the rest of scenarios) or either deny your opponent the chance to pick secret missions (manipulating how many primary points you score by the end of round 3) or to screen/delete all battleline units that may touch your deployment zone on turn 5.
Hi, thx for the video, I subscribed to this great channel :) Glad to see some list use Norn. I have only 2 norns emissaries but not assimilator. Do you think a tyrannofex with acid spray could do the job ? Or else I have 1 or 2 screamer killers.
@@yvesdonval7462 tyrannofex with acid spray would work great! Screamer killers are decent if you're built around capitalizing on battleshock. If you have some neurolictors then screamers can be good
I am trying to leverage on the battleshock tests: 2 Mawlocks to bring most enemies below starting strength, Screamer Killers, Haruspex, Death Leaper and Neurolictors to force multiple battleshocks, 3 units of Zoanthropes to inflict mortal wounds on failed battleshocks. If I succeed in positioning everything right, the Shadow of the Warp becomes brutal.
Ohh I see, I didn't know Shadow had that effect of -1 in Synapse. I also thought only the Emissary was Synapse but finding out the Assimilator is too is nasty. Learned from this 🤙
@@TheBlightspawn that will definitely keep it alive. I'd say you want to be playing at least 60 gaunts before you bring a tervigon. But give it a shot! New meta makes for uncharted territory
think most of the Nids Detachments is to Melee focused. take a look at Unending Swarm, it wants to get your unit into melee, problem is most useful Endless Multitudes units is ranged.
@@NecroGoblin-yl2fx they did seem to have the idea that nids are a combat army and then none of our melee weapons are more than ap2 and we move 8" on most of our melee stuff.

How'd it go?
Also, why no action monkey?
@@jharrington2112 He went 4-1.

Glad to hear it! I'll admit I've written the Tervigon off but that does sound like a strong way to keep her around. Glad it's working out for you!

@@the_hybred648 glad to hear it! Swarmlord/walking tyrant would be the best substitute if you don't have maleceptor
Ahhh yes, glad to have you back dude!

@@deviousdonutcompletely understand, those rippers can be exhausting! Looking forward to hear about how you get on!

@@wh40kev98 definitely not bad to defend home. No shooting or charging from reserve into him
Lictors and horms are also great here for cheap action monkeys and flipping primary, aswell as the screamer killer for enabling the nades more!

@@martinobispo8724 good point. I don't think secret missions have set in peoples minds yet. Including my own
It would help to follow what you say if you show on screen what you talk about.

@@settenano I tried basically the same before this update. Didn't work very well but now that shadows can be so reliable I think it could do great!
Usually a plan with lots of moving parts are inferior to just showing solid stats forward.
How is the Parasite getting to -3 LD? Dirgeheart to -1, SotW with Neurotyrant for -2, but where does the third one come from?
@@CaptainWwowW he himself is synapse so when you shadow in the warp the enemy gets another -1 for being in synapse

Any play in a Tervigon in Nexus? -1 damage and -1 AP seems like quite a troll!
