Qu-Bit Bloom - Controlling the Chaos // Self Patching and Pattern Cycling

- In this video we look at a few techniques to make Bloom's unpredictability a bit more predictable and controllable. With self patching we can create chord progressions and selective mutation, and with pattern cycling we can create more desirable sequences down (up?) the branches and paths.
Another tip (Not in the video) to have better outcomes with random branches, try running your cv output into a quantizer with a slightly narrower key range, this will make the sequence sound a bit less erratic especially when you have the branches at a higher level (5-8).
Really love Bloom, appreciate the more advanced patching tips for it and would absolutely watch more! Thank you! I really like the use of gates to allow for mutation on a per-step basis, which is something that I wish Bloom let you do internally in the first place.
I also did not know the trick about reloading your saved pattern to create new Branch randomizations!
Oooh yeah, internal per step mutations would be a great addition to the module!
Interesting and informative, makes me think it would pair really well with like a Mimetic Digitalis because you’ve got the 4 CV outputs to match up with the 4 Bloom inputs 😍😍
Thank you for sharing your ideas.
Great video!
I have this module and your video is great. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks, will come back to this : D
Nice one!
Quick question: how did you clear your notes at 2:23? Thank you in advance.
I just clicked on each step to turn it off, I put that part in fast motion for some reason.
Wish they'd just give us the proper ratchet firmware. It was promised and then never delivered
I know!!!
