Seems like an ideal performance module, can be easily tweaked for new results, but much more importantly imo, can be left alone without getting boring whilst your tweaking other modules. It doesnt demand your attention the whole time
Awesome.. been trying to build my own sequencer using some similar ideas, cool to see it happening for real. It's a really good way to perform progressive style music without getting too far off track.
Weird. I have been mulling over getting one of these for the past few days and suddenly, you upload a new video on it. Nice! I did see your older video on it already but man, this makes me want a Bloom even more.
This is the modular setup I most want to emulate. I think it would be cool to preform live with something like this. Thanks for the awesome sounds! I wish you the best.
I saw a Bloom Video By s o else it was so extremly boring I would have never thought I might be interested in this module now this what you show is a mind changer 😂❤
I was playing with that same setup and fell in love with Qu-Bit stuff (Bloom into Surface into Data Bender). I went with Scanned instead of Surface.. but man. Super cool stuff.
@@darksiderahb And also if you decide that you need it in hardware, try first a semi modular as you get more for the money and utilities that you need anyway. Then check out diy modules and the second hand market. Good luck : )
A great place to start for me, if you can afford it, was Cre8audio's niftyBundle+Pittsburgh Modular Lifeforms SV-1b (about $875 total or something). Expert Sleepers' disting mk4 is also a great addition as a multi effect module and very versatile audio processor. I was originally going to just get the SV-1b Blackbox (a stand-alone unit), but I figured the future flexibility of having a rack/power supply/etc was worth getting the niftyBundle. You could start with VCV Rack or something, but I personally massively prefer hardware.
RMR and DivKid are in a conspiracy to make me poor too but I got them both this time: I bought one of these a while ago so I win. MWAHAHAHAHA.... wait a minute, I'm still poor.... but yeah - really fun sequencer.
Hi Jeremy Another great tutorial, just wish could have seen the other Modules you used and the patching of cables( is it a secret)😄Did you know you can remove notes on bloom, also add Rachel’s to the sequenced notes, which I saw Ricky Tinez demo of this, amazing how two Artistes use differently but both superb And I like you talking as we learn of your process of thoughts , evolution Excellent thanks bundles Martin🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🆒🎶🎶🎶Bromley, London UK
Jeremy I love your presentation for modules where you have the showcased module front and center and with minimal modules around. It's not a full blown case where I get distracted by other modules. Please keep this style up! (But I must know, what's sequencing Cursus in the first demo?)
Great videos mate, the man of groove and melodies:) a big part of these Wonderfull stuff is clocking and reset. I wonder how you reset bloom, which clock is used, thanks !
Thank you for a great demonstration! But, I've got to say, some $3000 in modules playing together at times, it would've been a shame if they - incl. Bloom - didn't sound good.
A lot of this sounded like the Fez soundtrack, which if memory serves was written by Disasterpeace (I caught you referencing this artist, I believe, when riffing on the Rings secret mode). Were your baselines Bloom? Anyhoo, definitely the best work with Bloom I've been able to find online.
I don't normally like generative music, but this is really cool. - and it looks kinda portable. - I have no idea what other gear you're talking about, but if I wanted to make some techno on the go, what would you pair with this?
Jesus Jeremy, you make everything sound great... Very late to the party, but as i'm watching this i'm just wondering what is sequencing the bass line since bloom has only two tracks ? thank you i'm ordering one bloom now, just love the workflow and generative non destructive possibilities.
Do you plan on grabbing the the Lumi? I'd love to see what you could do with it, I just watched the reveal video for it (I know I'm late to see it) but I thought of you immediately
Again I'm blown away. This new module makes such a huge splash. One of the mysterious things to me is where in the chain, bloom lives. It seems like it takes tones(?) In from existing sequences and drives other modules with the output? Like the drum track seems to add color to the sequences (is that just in my mind?) Which drive external modules to turn that into the sequenced music? Or are there some voices in the bloom too? So cool, you have such fun toys.
Did top cat lose in a dice game or what happened? I need to know. Got a Bloom second hand yesterday. Amazing how well thought out this module is, as it is deep and complex but not at all complicated and really logical, as in making sense. This from an idiot when it comes to tech and music. But I can draw bunnies so I got that goin for me which is nice. also foxes and cats btw. Little known fact foxes are cat software in dog hardware. For anyone interested, best tutorial I found on Bloom: ua-cam.com/video/GDZ5YehWMEs/v-deo.html&ab_channel=Fone
Are you bugged by the fact that ratchets in Bloom are actually note repeats? Apparently they have firmware in development where it actually does real ratchets.
Yeah that and lack of real ratchets stopped me from getting it, but I think they already released a new module revision and a bug fixing firmware since then. Love their unique design concepts in general, Data Bender is brilliant.
Marbles always confused me (in VCV rack anyway) so I’ve ordered a Bloom for my first hardware rack. Will get to play with it for the first time tomorrow! From the videos I have watched it’s pretty straightforward yet sufficiently powerful.
Absolutely love your videos dude, thank you so much for taking the time to share your knowledge, passion and art. It really means a lot, and is greatly appreciated!
Yeahh...no idea what you're talking about but I love listening to the funky tunes
was gonna say exactly that lol
I realize it is kind of off topic but does anyone know of a good website to stream newly released tv shows online ?
@@yahirnoah6673 I think you meant to type that into Google
@@qjames0077 the bots man, it's about to spiral into a whole chain
@Yahir Noah i would suggest Flixzone. Just google for it =)

dude the way you make every module so musical is insane
I just got mine at the beginning of the week and I'm loving it.
Great navigation and performance. Bravo!
Greetings from Macedonia!
Thank you for telling us what your voices are. I love knowing what makes what sound.
Been loving all the Qu-bit content. They may be my favorite modular manufacturer. Would really like to hear Bloom sequencing Castor and Pollux.
Awesome.. been trying to build my own sequencer using some similar ideas, cool to see it happening for real. It's a really good way to perform progressive style music without getting too far off track.
Don't forget using the Bloom channels for CV modulation, and sequencing the Root to control those CV ranges as well! Beautiful demo!
Absolutely!
Nice... The Bloom is looking a lot more relevant to my workflow after seeing this.
Such amazing demos, loving both Surface and Rings sounds.
Weird. I have been mulling over getting one of these for the past few days and suddenly, you upload a new video on it. Nice! I did see your older video on it already but man, this makes me want a Bloom even more.

Thanks for the awesome sounds! I wish you the best.
Perfect timing cuz I got a bloom like 2 days ago and this was great inspiration!! Thanks
Pretty crazy I was researching bloom last night and really thinking about getting one.
Oh man, from the first few seconds I was so hoping for this to be some funky non-modular desktop sequencer! It's absolutely killer.
I could listen to this all day. This could be a tribal house aswell. That bassssssss omg Jeremy always a pleasure to watch your videos.
Damn! This is awesome! Thx for sharing the Bloom Jeremy. And those Sounds!!!!!!! Crazy. A wonderful day back from switzerland 🙏🏻🌈🕊🌿👍🏻🙋🏻♂️🦋
The sounds!!!! OMS (oh my synth) I think I’m Addicted to Synths🤯❤️🤍🖤🔥🤯🤯
I absolutely need this in my life.
A long press on the channel let's you witness the 2 sequences at once (2 leds racing). Very cool! Love mine!
Ooh!
@@RedMeansRecording I'm pretty sure you also change both sequences notes when you have both channels highlighted.
😮 Wow that's not mentioned elsewhere! Probably the weakest point - the manual 😂
I saw a Bloom Video By s o else it was so extremly boring I would have never thought I might be interested in this module
now this what you show is a mind changer 😂❤
Hey Jeremy - fantastic demo - very, very musical. I prefer to hear you talk so I know what's going on :-)
Terrific, I was always curious what this module is about. Thank you! Demo sounded rad as well (;
I was playing with that same setup and fell in love with Qu-Bit stuff (Bloom into Surface into Data Bender). I went with Scanned instead of Surface.. but man. Super cool stuff.
I have GOT to have this.....
Great sounds and demo
unbelievable, I hope I can get into modular one day
Nice video! Just got Bloom a couple weeks ago, there are a few things that bug me about it, but it’s a pretty cool module.
Let’s hear it. I’m thinking about this or Marbles.
Very nice this Qu-Bit Bloom, real fractal sequences, good demo :)
My goodness...that sounds so lurvly. Someday...someday I will dip into modular. I'm just so overwhelmed by all the possibilities.
Try vcv rack, It's free.

Sounds awesome. I think you rolled a performance nat-20.
amazing when you play with it. Pretty sure it would just be noise for me.
same 😞
Did I see Fractal Fox there at the end?
Did you have issues clocking yours? I have one and in order to reliably clock it from Pam I had to increase the pulse width.

Hey Jeremy, could you explain what the Chaos Module does here and how you used it, i thought it is quite a similar module to the Bloom?
I love my Bloom! I’ve never been able to get the gate length to work. What’s the secret?
Press and turn the encoders, I think

Sooo cool. Have you tried marbles and bloom together?
Not yet!!
Would you suggest data bender or bloom first of the two?
Completely different? Ones an effect and ones a sequencer. That said I think literally everyone should have a data bender.
How big is the modular off-screen :') amazing sounds.

What is this ‘Rings Easter egg mode’ of which you speak? Mind you, I have a Rings clone- I don’t suppose I’m allowed Easter eggs…
I really dont understand what this is doing within the context of the rest of the modules you have going on :(
Are you bugged by the fact that ratchets in Bloom are actually note repeats? Apparently they have firmware in development where it actually does real ratchets.
Anyone else thinking about the soundtrack of the spyro the dragon games? :D love it
where is the second channel? couldn't find any link.
no worries found it already in the ambience side
I wanted a Bloom but there's a thread on Muff about it being buggy?
More finicky than anything but I really enjoy mine
I believe one description was a hot mess of bugs and UX issues. But I like mine for percussion. Especially with the BIA.
