You should its a great show I've been a few times in the past 5 or 7 years or maybe 8 and that's just the classic car show not including the bike show which I went to once or twice
I missed the livestream, but I'll be there on Saturday to see you, Steph & Matt. Glad to see that Steph got Tina ready for the show (although lots more to do I'm sure).
When I was a lot younger I had a simca 1301 in metallic green absolutely loved the car till the engine developed a serious problem so I sold it on. So many good memories of that car
Mum and I are here all three days. Hope to see you, Steph and Matt either today Day 2 or tomorrow Day 3. I'm the Brit Canadian wearing the Canadian flag. Also hugely looking forward to catching up on this video soon. Preparing to come to Day 2 right now. 🇨🇦🇬🇧
"Something for the young people, we got a Vauxhall C...(Me, who just turned forty, glancing at the red Calibra)...ombo here!" One of the reasons I love your work, Ian. Thanks for the great coverage.
Im really glad you got to see Bens (Tasty Classics) Panhandle as its a great car with a great resurection story. I had the chance to speak with Ben and Rob at Arley hall during the summer when they displayed the car , theyre real genuine down to earth fellas .
The joys of doing a live stream. Couldn’t help but rewind as I thought I miss heard you say ‘Retro Shite’ and not Retro Site 😂😂 Great walk around as always
Great to meet the team, absolutely loved the show though having seen this I managed to miss a few treasures. Ah well, an excuse to visit again in the future!
I look forward to the video's of this weekend every year. I really need to get my stuff together and go to the show one year. As always great knowledge Ian and so much to see!
Enjoyed meeting you briefly and chatting about Giselle briefly (till the selfee guy barged in) after buying the large fleet mug. Enjoyed some fo the fleet too.
Hub, great live. Just for the record :) This Skoda van its Skoda 1203 based on very old front engined model. They were not as mad as Germans to build rear engined van ;) This car was made forever. From 1968 to.... some other companies build it till 2017....
Unfortunately couldn’t make it this year absolutely gutted, so thanks for the tour around the show …One thing though, please get a gimble for your camera/phone!
I always enjoy anyway around of any classic car show and of course this is the biggest many cars we never got in Australia and some cars which they put Holden badges on them and the obscure cars that turn up
Many years ago I went with a friend to this motor show as part of the Austin A35 Owners Club (my friend's father-in-law took his A35 van) There really is too much to see in one day. At the end of the show, all the carpet is skipped, so I ended up being given a roll of brand new red carpet which I had to carry about a mile back to my car. That carpet is still covering the floor of my garage!
Thankyou for this vid. I was going to come up from Brighton on Saturday to stay overnight at a NEC hotel but crossing stations in London could be a hairy tommorow and Sunday.
Lot's of great stuff to see Ian, I can't make this one unfortunately as my midlands trip agenda was one week out being last week. Regards to the rest of the HubNutters.
I love your channel, hope you are there next year , I must get there and get to chat to you and Steph ,glad to see stephs Tina marrina there too, I would love to display my 1994 fiat uno 1.7 diesel there. Keep up the superb videos
Ah, good to see a Mangusta and a Pantera. I have one of each here. Nice to see the Beast got a refresh although the Owner may get in trouble with that RR Grill🤔😦. Enjoy the weekend 👍.
Me and my pals went to the show today. When people leave the cars with windows open, i couldn't resist sticking my head in and taking a big sniff..... am I weird? The smell of an old Ford/Vauxhall/Rover etc evoke such memories from days gone by. Is it just me?
To be fair, they did sell about 95,000 Nash Metroplitans/Hudson Metropolitans/Metropolitan 1500s here, which was a pretty substantial amount for any foreign-built car in the 1950s/early '60s, especially one that small. And it only cost $2 million to develop and tool for, so it was certainly profitable.
My dad has a maroon Austin 1936 I’m not sure what one it was. We will go to the beach every Sunday in the summer he would hand crank it. It always has a dodgy battery. He sold it for £5 it was dumped on waste grounds I always regret not taking the numberplate off as a souvenir
Morris Minors - are they the model with most survivors still on the road? I am old enough to remember the announcement of the end of production and the grief that followed. No-one could have thought you'd still be tripping over them in 2023 !! I think the fruit exhaust parp on the overrun is one of the most joyous noises in motoring. Could say the same of the 2CV - stopped making them but they are still everywhere and they have the most distinctive engine note - I'd listen to that over a V8 burble any day of the week
I wanted to be their this year to see you and furious driving Mat. The way things turned out hasn't happened 😢 I am from West Lothian, Scotland. Do you & Mat plan to be at next year's show 🙏
Surprised to see an XJ S3 in the exact same color as mine with the same Kent rims. Sadly mine is just a poverty spec Jag instead of the posh Daimler version. 😅
For anyone that didn't understand the Bristols comment...in rhyming slang we English call a lady's breasts Bristols (Bristol City = titty). Great look around the show and The Beast looks fab now. I would have liked a review on the beds in Hubnut style.
I thought the Nash metropolitan had the 1500 engine?! Still what is it the Brits to misunderstand the American market. Still some great cars to see there..
I love your walk throughs. For us Americans it kinda feel like being there.

Love the federalised W126, almost certainly a 300SD with the OM617 engine. Amazing condition too.
It's not a hideous colour at all, I'd certainly have that
Thank you very much Ian, Mr HubNut! Exciting tour with many cool cars✌

Excellent and a really interesting blast from the past...they were the days when cars were individual...🙄👍
Thanks @HubNut for the great live presentation of the NEC.

Thanks for the video walk, Ian. That was quite an impression! I'm curious of the next part, of course... See you --- Martin

I'm looking forward to checking out those Bristol's tomorrow. 🥁
I can hear you clearly over the announcements. Looks like a fantastic show!

great content brilliant to see so many old cars still around some i'd long forgotten.... 🙂🙂
Thanks for the quick look round Ian. Some very interesting cars there.
Much appreciate the effort you took for posting the video Ian, thanks so much, really enjoyed it. All the best for the rest of the weekend. 😊👍

Old car smell is a wonderful thing, especially if there is wood and leather.
Sadly won’t be able to make it but I am putting feelers out to ship one of my hoopties over for the show in a few years. Great coverage!
Fabulous exterior content... but a little more interior action would be the icing on the cake. 😊
What an amazing show, enjoy!
Great looking cars, I'm coming tomorrow
Hey Ian, can you try find some P5s & P6s please! Have a great time!
Sounds great!
GIMBLE NEEDED
nice show
Apparently only 2 Twini Minis were ever built, so it's remarkable to see every one built in 1 place!

Hi ian good to see you at the NEC. Glad that Giselle made it in one piece.
Sound and pictures perfect ian

Hearing loud and clear from Ron in Herne Bay in Kent
Herne Bay ehh, I used to live at Knaves-Ash, some 4 miles away, near Hoath.
The Beast appears to now be sporting Capri MK1 Facelift rear lights.
It did before, but had two pairs each side.
Good to see a Lotus Carlton
Hello from Padua Italy
I was hoping the Panther stand might have had the crazy Panther Six. Where did it end up? Only ever saw it in a car mag in the 70’s
It has been in display here before...
The Beast looks a lot better now, though I have no doubt the owner will be getting a letter from Rolls-Royce's solicitors imminently
Custard yellow isn't a good colour for a car is it?
I Think the original owner went to court 40 years ago and won his case as it had a rolls Royce engine. It’s sold after his death very recently.
@@adamknopp6631 A less pompous company would probably have offered him a sponsorship instead of suing him.
All fine!
I wanted to be their this year to see you and furious driving Mat. The way things turned out hasn't happened 😢 I am from West Lothian, Scotland. Do you & Mat plan to be at next year's show 🙏
Hope it goes well
Hello from the... moon
The Beast is usually said to have a Merlin but I'm pretty sure it's a Meteor tank engine.
Sound good in Thailand here
The Riley Pathfinder could be a Lancia... Beautiful
Surprised to see an XJ S3 in the exact same color as mine with the same Kent rims.
Sadly mine is just a poverty spec Jag instead of the posh Daimler version. 😅
Hello from Bojo Tools
Damn, i missed the show. I thought it was next week 😢
Watching from Portugal can’t make this year, is there an autobanchi a112 stand or even a car there
Sadly not.
Thank you letting me know may be I could bring mine next year, hope you had a good show

You forgot to greet Germany😮
Not camping in Bob this year?
Nope. Hotel much closer to the show.
Camera was a bit jerky it made me feel bit seasick I only watched for 10 mins!
First time doing a live with this camera at this show, sorry about that.
Hi Ian
Hello 😊
I thought the Nash metropolitan had the 1500 engine?! Still what is it the Brits to misunderstand the American market. Still some great cars to see there..
They switched to 1500 for the last few years of production.
Not sure about the Beast modifications. The original had a character given to it by John Dodd and to lose that seems a pity.
John changed it a fair bit himself!
Hi ian will you be there on sunday
Certainly will! Find us where Hall 3A meets Hall 4.
@@HubNut nice see you tomorrow hopefully
