Sephi Rothstein Hello!I am sorry to distort your vision,I was 34 when I met Kurt at Manray, in Cambridge,Mass,back in '88. I began playing his band on my Connecticut College radio show shortly after.Reminiscing with me and my wife after a show in New Haven,which drew only 168 paying attendees,in Sept '91,he said it was some of their first East Coast airplay .By the way,to shine a light on Kurt's generosity,personality and punk spirit against authority,that night the show was at a 21+ bar called The Moon,so Kurt repeatedly went outside and escorted groups of the penniless teen gutter punks who hung out at shows,into the place.My pal Fern,who booked the show,was pulling his hair out ,but I loved it.

Yeah but tbf Krist was probably intoxicated back then and at some points during the interview he had nice interactions with Nardwuar
When he interviewed them in 94 he barged his way into the green room essentially which is why the interview starts off with them mocking him and refusing to engage cause they just wanted to wind down after their set and he was intruding. Nirvana never really did interviews. By the end of that interview they held him in relatively high regards and actually started getting along. It’s unsurprising to me that when he was approached in 2017 while in a setting where he was already prepared for an interview he was more approachable.

This was really sweet. Krist's phone interview from the 90s was one of my favorite Nardwuar segments ever.

Krist is a sharp wit and hilarious. Of course interviewers always focused on Kurt but Krist is more entertaining. He might have some brain damage thought from when he threw his bass in the air and it hit him in the head; during MTV awards.
Krist seems really happy here with nardward. That's awesome to see. Ever since kurt died krist always seems so sad
