  • Why is it so hard to quit shopping? In this video, I want to talk about one main reason why I think giving up shopping is really difficult for many of us. I also want to talk about the solution and how stopping your shopping addiction might be easier with this mindset shift.

Less money less space less freedom to have something better- wow; I needed to hear that.

It's very hard to give up shopping because it's truly so much fun! That dopamine hit of a new buy is EVERYTHING!

Wow - short but intense. I'll try to think of it next time while doing groceries. I' don't impulse buy a lot of "stuff", but I do impulse buy a lot of sweets lately, which are definitely not a long term satisfaction.

I try to shop from local manufacturers. My clothes are made about a 4 hour drive away. Much of my food is raised within 30 minute drive.
I don't feel like I can afford many impulse buys. I hope others shop local to them. I believe it makes us healthier and more accountable for our communities and will bring greater peace.

      Hi,
Is there a direct connection between buying locally and health? If so, how? I am interested to know. 🙂

more stuff means more of our energy is locked up/blocked up and so it feels heavier - it is never ending hunt for the feeling of high but piled up stuff sucks the life energy out of us

  • @MotoM0nk
    @MotoM0nk 11 днів тому

it is hard because people hunt for the initial high which wears off after couple of wears or uses. so this is an addiction to the feeling

This whole “shopping thing” also has a lot to do with age.
That's perfectly fine if you spend your money on things you like when you're young.
    Why not?
Since I had the children, however, I think and see things differently.
It's not the clothes that make me happy today, it's my children.
I haven't bought anything for years.
I have a 5 meter closet that is *FULL* from top to bottom with clothes.
Last year I started clearing out the house and was successful in filling 13 huge garbage bags and giving them away.
Now I saw that it still wasn't enough and started the second round.
The house is a mess and I'm clearing out more things every day.
I won't go shopping until I've cleared everything out.

I think this is how you should wear your hair. It compliments your face and natural beauty. Only certain people can wear their hair that way. You are one of them. I am not.
