Turning a pen "between centers"

Ed turns the blank for the new Motorcycle pen, from Berea. Bushings were not yet available, so the "between centers" method was helpful.

I noticed you cut with the toe of the skew rather than the heel. Any reason for this? Good video. Now I can save $$$ on bushings.
