We make bushings and turn 2 pen blanks without the brass tubes. Useful to determine the best color to "reverse paint" or for making "demonstrator pens.
To be honest, I am not certain. This was a long time ago. However, it looks like "alternate ebony" a resin I enjoy turning. When making bushings, choose anything that will not "move" much with changes in humidity--corian and other countertop surfaces are good, as are most of the "resin" or acrylics used in penmaking. Thanks for your question, hope this gives you some direction!! Ed
Hi Ed, First of all thanks for sharing your clear and concise video, it's very much appreciated. I too would like to know the material you used for the bushings. Cheers Andy
