"You're always in my heart, my loves..." Teared up something awful when I heard that in game for the first time. Almost made me get caught in an aoe because of it lol.
I just love how the Gods just decided they’d like to have some fun with us. They’re all so distinct and different in personality, I can’t wait to see the rest
Did you know there's a bit of foreshadowing as to the identities of some of the members of The Twelve? During a quest chain in Elpis, you meet two NPCs: Maira and Alkaios. The pair of them are examining concepts created by a man named Kleon, the batrachoi and the Io. The pair wind up being revised of flaws by the Warrior of Light into the monsters known as Gigantoads and Behemoths both of which feature as adds before the battle with Nymeia and Althyk. Additionally, at the end of the quest chain, the Warrior of Light tells Maira about the funerary tendency in Eorzea to place Nymeia lilies for the departed. The first quest in the chain is *An Expected Guest,* though it is an Aether Current quest. If you haven't complete the chain, the next quest to look for is *A Better Batrachoi* to the northwest of Elpis' map.
She's Zenos if Zenos was mentally stable. You can tell she's not some violence-hungry beast. She enjoys it like it's a good-natured sport, not as her sole personality trait.
Some corrections from a giant voiceover nerd who has been cataloging VO information for FFXIV for a few years. No offense intended, but most people have incredibly bad ears for this type of thing. Nophica = Y'shtola, both voiced by Robyn Addison Halone = Zero, both voiced by Cassie Layton (Cassie Layton is my personal but quite confident theory; uncredited thus far) Althyk = Golbez, both voiced by Joseph Capp (Joseph Capp is only fan-credited as Golbez thus far) As for the other two... Nymeia = Bloewyda/Singingway/Dulia-Chai, all voiced by Rachel Atkins (my personal crackpot theory; confidence level is only about 50% on this one) Menphina = I haven't a bloody clue. Maaaaaaaaaaybe Meteion (Rosie Day)? On the topic of Nymeia and Menphina, there's been speculation from other fans that both of them are voiced by Ryne's actress (Emma Ballantine). First, some background information. It's been a *general* rule, ever since we first got boss voices in Stormblood, that Alliance Raid voiceover work is done by whichever actors were already present in the booth for that patch's MSQ. We saw this very clearly in Aglaia during patch 6.1: Nigel Betts (Vrtra) as Byregot, Robert Vernon (Estinien) as Rhalgr, Sheena Bhattessa (Nidhana) as Azeyma, and Jonathan Bailey (G'raha) as both Nald and Thal... all of whom appeared with voiced lines in the 6.1 MSQ. So Ryne's actress being present here in the 6.3 raid would be anomalous. Admittedly, no more anomalous than my personal guess for Nymeia. But still.
No Doubt of actors: Nophica - Robyn Addison (Y'Shtola) Halona - Zero (Dunno Actor's Name Yet?) Althyk - Joseph Capp (Golbez) Confident, but not strongly Nymeia - Rachel Atkins (Dulia-Chai, Bloefwin) Menphina - Rosie Day (Meteion)
While they sound similar, I doubt it's Mela Lee, since she is based in the US, and the FFXIV voice cast is from Britain. They usually "reuse" the same actors from the same patch. So the probable options are, Y'shtola. Alisaie, or Zero's voice actresses. Like it's almost a given that Nophica uses Y'shtola's.
When I saw Halone, my mind blue screened cause I thought I was looking at Malenia. Spent a minute panicking and yelling in Alliance chat for everyone to find Let me solo her's summon sign.
Dressed in full Halone's Mail of Fending with sword and shield to match, I did scream in alliance chat "LET ME SOLO HER" at one point either in chat or in VC, it was a bit of a blur doing that blind run with friends
I think Deryk may be the unnamed one, cuz they're meant to observe without getting involved and at multiple points in the questline he shows concern about being too involved in the affairs of others.
@@pizza9798 Deryk is almost certainly Oschon. Oschon is a wanderer who wanders alone to know of man's solitude. Deryk is a wanderer who always wandered alone and expresses surprise to have found happiness in being around others. He wears green, the same color as Oschon's wind aspect. He talks about how he will have to leave soon and will miss the friends he has made. It's not subtle.
It just occurred to me that Althyk is more or less in an Alliance Raid Dungeon with a harem of other goddesses, especially when you realize who one of them is to him
