My tail bone is hurting hard from bad landings and but landings, I already feel the improvement from these tips. Will implement these on the next session.
For the arm movements it helps me to think of it as dive rolling upward, and for tucks I think of pulling my knees to my shoulders not chest, helps alot
bro I found you from conner murphy I have bee wanting to learn how to flip better and you are helping me out a lot and I just want to think you for that man and keep up your good work.
I can do a frontflip, but my tuck is loose and i can still land it clean. I'm just scared to tuck too much and faceplant into the ground because i over rotated.
i really like these tutorials, but when training for a Front/back flip what would you recommend that i should do when trying to go from the trampolin to the ground. and what would you do to be comfortable with back flip rotation.
I knew all these tips but thanks for reminding me so I’m sure I do all. I land consistent standing front flips from the springs on my trampoline (with a mattress over the springs to “kill” a bit of the jump it gives me) so my question is: can I land a front flip on grass??
Thanks man I just uploaded a front flip progression I think my problem is not blocking if I could get a second opinion from someone that'd be great and this really helps thank you
Been working on perfecting my front flip and back flips. I’m breaking down frame by frame and it turns out the only thing I’m doing wrong is not tucking soon enough. How do I fix this?
I'm watching this because I feel like my front flip is kinda sloppy. Turns out I was doing to big of a hop and I wasn't blocking. Thanks! I'll try this when I start flipping again tomorrow.
what about timing instead, rushing the closure of the head before the rest of the body is fully tuck, i noticed this could ends up with rotating earlier and with a loose tuck
I was trying to tuck really hard and I actually ended up doing a over-rotation of about half a front flip, fell face first into the ground, and skidded with my face against the dirt for a good foot. I stopped for the day after that for obvious reasons.
After a long day of learning to front flip my neck muscles are getting strained. I don't know if that's the right word. They contract when i use them. For example when i'm laying on bed and i lift my head up as if i'm getting up, the neck muscles contract and they feel tired and hurt a bit just like a cramp. Are there neck streches or exercises needed? I'm very athletic but i never exercised my neck and never encountered this before. Well i never did gymnastics stuff i'm new to that.
After almost 3 months of being unable to front flip well I finally figured what I was doing wrong thank you. I always hop too far.

I can do a frontflip, but my tuck is loose and i can still land it clean. I'm just scared to tuck too much and faceplant into the ground because i over rotated.
Jeremy Villanueva that wouldn't happen because your reflexes would make you roll automatically.
That happened to me once. It didn't really hurt because you can kinda save yourself with your hands. Or roll

what about timing instead, rushing the closure of the head before the rest of the body is fully tuck, i noticed this could ends up with rotating earlier and with a loose tuck
instead if you keep the head neutral, spotting the ground while summon the rest of the body to closure it result better isn't it?
I was trying to tuck really hard and I actually ended up doing a over-rotation of about half a front flip, fell face first into the ground, and skidded with my face against the dirt for a good foot. I stopped for the day after that for obvious reasons.
