- Today I am sharing how to make sourdough discard tortillas
INGREDIENTS
110g sourdough discard
1 1/4 cups (150g) all purpose flour
2 Tbsp (30g) olive oil
6 gram salt
2oz water
INSTRUCTIONS
In a mixing bowl, combine the sourdough discard, flour, olive oil, water, and salt. You may need to add more water if the dough feels too dry.
Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead it for a few minutes until smooth and elastic. Let dough rest for 30-60 minutes.
Divide the dough into 8 smaller portions and shape them into balls.
Roll out each ball into a thin round tortilla using a rolling pin.
Heat a dry skillet or a griddle over medium heat. Place the rolled-out tortilla onto the hot surface and cook for about 1-2 minutes on each side, or until lightly browned and cooked through.
Repeat the process for the remaining dough balls.

These were delicious!! Making them into 8 made my tortillas pretty small. I’ll def double the recipe next time and try to make them bigger! Loved them!
They’re small when cutting into 8 but you can divide into any number depending on how big you want them. Glad you enjoyed them. ❤️
Can you freeze the individual portions for later use?
Yes. I alway freeze them.
