    I just made sourdough tortilla the other night from another recipe but next time this will be the one I'll use. They look a lot fluffier and soft! Yum! Thank you Ash!

    Hi, great video - thanks :) I've been making tortilla's for many years and just recently purchased a tortilla press (as I have a problem with one of my hands), and Oh my what a great help in saving time. I still have to do a little tolling to stretch it more, but the press works great to get it to that saucer size quickly. Just thought I would add this little comment. ~ Linda

    When you cover the dough initially, is the cloth wet? or how do you prevent it from drying out?
    nice recipe, just what I was looking for :)

      Have you tried with freshly milled flour?

      @@cargold7597 it just doesn't stretch or bubble as much so they tend to cook harder.

    What about natural( not store-bought) lard? Have you used that?

      yes medium works. it seems to be different for every stove so just play with it :)

    Is the 24 hour fermentation you did on the counter or in the fridge? OR a bit of both?

    BEST tortilla recipe! I am curious if there are health benefits to using ghee over regular butter? I think you’ve mentioned it somewhere before but I don’t remember

      Ghee is lactose free; if dairy/lactose is a concern for you

      @@turnerfarm thanks! I tried these yesterday and did about a 16 hour ferment. The taste was great but they didn’t turn out and i think it was because the method I used. Instead of rolling one and cooking it, I rolled them all at once and placed a parchment between each. They stuck really bad and the shape was horrible lol. I think the gluten become just too relaxed to do it. I’m going to try again and use roll and cook each individually.

      @@kelleyleblanc5025 yes this is why i suggest rolling them one at a time :) they definitely stick
