I just wanted to say thank you. I'd been having problems with massive lag while playing the game, and this changed everything. More than earned my subscription. Keep up the good work!
One way you can tell Bethesda didn't optimize the game for PC is the fact that dynamic resolution scaling only kicks in when your framerate dips under 30 fps instead of it being tied to your refresh rate.
play over 100fps and this game crashes constantly
You do realize what you just described is a form of optimization. Now you may not agree with what they did but saying they didn't do anything is just incorrect
@@rodrickcrossfacts fr
@@rodrickcrosshe didnt say they didnt do any form of optimization at all, he said that they didnt do the form of optimization thats meant for pc but instead for console, so nothing wrong with what he said
@@meyr1992 if you are using proper hardware then you don't even need the dynamic resolution. The only ones that do are trying this game on old hardware that the game does not recommend. If you have an old rig that can't run the game it's not a software issue. It's a hardware one
you're such a god like srsly so glad i found your channel cause i had no idea my resizebar was off the whole time
Awesome! Just by turning the rebar on, I got a boost of 10 FPS, plus the mod really makes it look good and feel good, thank you!
followed along to the dlss mod section of the vid and game is finally smooth and playable. thank you so much
So thankful I found this channel.
Thank you so much. The DLSS download was the huge change I needed to make this game playable on my 3060
Awesome video. Thank you...subbed!!!!
Exactly what I was looking for , thanks.
Awesome video, thank you for the help! You are amazing!
I have a legion 5 Pro 3070 and using high settings and the latency change I get 56 to 60 fps the 180 you get is insane
So if I install all the suggested files when Bethesda finally releases the DLSS patch will I need to remove all the Mod files? If so I can see some game crashes if not done correctly.
Panjno, my dude! the old legend just pumps out these FPS increases. Ive been watching since 10 years ago :). Shiet i havent even subbed.
Hey Panjo
Thank you for your videos. They are amazing and helped me with multiple games :) Is your Escape From Tarkov video about increasing performance/fps still current? New settings have been added.
Great Work once again Panjno!!
Thanks a lot. It just worked for first time. Next day when I loaded the game, FPS started varying from 9 to 140 every second :(
Potato cpu?
If you're having trouble enabling resizable bar on an MSI MB, update your bios and then update your drivers when the MSI Driver Utility pops up
Thank you for all the advice, I've learned some new stuff. It's a shame that I can get 120 FPS everywhere else, except inside the city areas of Starfield. Even after all the tutorials, with a 3080 Ti, AMD Ryzen 9 3900x, I still get only 45-50 FPS on 1080p. So I have no idea what to do at this point. Hopefully Bethesda gets this thing optimized soon.
Reduce your desktop resolution outside of the game to something like 720p, if you did it outside of the game while the game was off then it should work in fullscreen but at your desktop native resolution. Play around with render resolution and upscaler sharpness, try to keep them both above 70% 80 or higher is ideal then exit the game and raise your resolution to something that works for your rig, make sure your GPU isn't getting hotter than 70C MAX, thats when you got it stable. Textures look like dogshit in comparison to 1080 but but it's better than nauseating 23ms frametime LOL
❤An actually helpful UA-cam video thanks!
Hello i tried changing my pc settings as mentioned in the above video . i am getting around 9-20 FPS (says that on the xbox game bar).My laptop specs are i7-8750,32 gb ram , rtx 2070 max q . Is my pc to old to run the game at a playable 30-40 FPS ?lol . or their might be something i can change to get the game to run a bit smoother rather than stutter. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated
hi , although nvidia card has the resizeable bar on default now, but I found it's not enabled on my bios yet, so do I still need to enable that manually?
thanks man what a legend
Is Stream or Epic Games the more optimized launcher to use?
i would just use flawless widescreen instead of editing a ini constantly for FOV you can adjust it in game in real time and see changes.
Its not supported on flawless widescreen for me it doesnt show
So initially upon installing it looked like 8:29. Now it no longer does. Reinstalled and didn't return to normal. Did they break the upscaler in latest update ?
For more fps and best experience just upgrade your pc (c) Todd Howard
Legit! 🤣
Thanks for the info , since i got a new build with a more recent GPU though everything should be at Ultra , but man now i got a steady 163 FPS it is the smoothest game i ever played plus my CPU remain at 60 C , thanks again
i have gtx 2070 super and im struggling.. i wonder does those methods work for me? I get low 27-30 fps in Akila city for example (worst fps leech city ive encountered yet)
THX!
The video guide had the most impact by significantly reducing my GPU temperature. With a 4090 and max settings at 4K, I was experiencing temperatures of around 85-90 degrees Celsius. After following your guide, the temperature dropped to 55. Besides the frame rate, this substantial temperature reduction significantly improved stability. Very much worth a $5, thank you! 🙂
Thank you so much!
Been playing the game without issues since early launch. But since today/yesterday the game got a rythmical, constant stuttering that happens every two seconds regardless of the graphics settings I'm applying. Different locations, saves, no changes. Updating system and device drivers got no effect, my pc handled this game without issues before.
Notably I work with videoediting and my pc handles heavy load videoediting like before. The only change I've noticed is in Starfield.
Anyone else have similar problems? Did some recent update just break Starfield to the point it is unplayable?
Ive noticed performance degradation over time. Things ive done to fix it(albeit temporary) were to delete the shader cache, verify game files then reboot PC. Its super annoying and im surprised they havnt yet released a post launch patch - im 120 hours into this game already.
You can try disabling the gamebarpresencewriter it really smooth things out for me and setting shadows to high since it's broken for some reason.
What I did was move it to an SSD, fixed my stuttering
@@azytrx Im on an NVME. Thats not my problem..did come across an article around bethesda poor use of SSD.
thank you so much, I was about to quit the game.
I only did the DLSS mod part then FPS and stuttering greatly improved on my RTX 2080.
Hows the game running ? I have a 2080 too but dont think i can support it....
holy shit that whole resizebar thing works really well lol
Thanks to Author, Hi to All. Does this method help to rise FPS to those desperate folks, who are now running Starfield on 20 fps and would be happy with at least 25?
I have a 4070 laptop and this game ran like literal DOG on it. Got the DLSS mods setup (its worth the time, just have to drag and drop some files)... literally instantly made the game jump an entire gen in graphics quality, and immediately had the FPS nice and stable. Unreal how massive this was.
The rest of this vid helps, sure. but if you are running modern nvidia - DLSS mod is a must have
I have an RTX3060 GPU and Ryzen 7 5800x CPU and I am hanging around 45fps in New Atlantis on low settings with all of the tips and "fps gain" methods. Do I just have to live with it because at times it's unplayable.
I have a 3070ti and same cpu as yours. Same problems.
i did everything you said but when i press the end key no menu appeared, what can i do?
Absolutely fantastic tutorial, has given me an extra 10-15 fps and finally allowed me to achieve that glorious 60fps, even at 1080p I’m happy, plus the game looks even more crisp, that FOV tutorial is also really appreciated! That’s a sub from me, keep up with these amazing tutorials 😊
What gpu do you have
Yeah what GPU you got lol
Will this help with random crashes on pc? Some areas just hard crash to desktop
Awesome, with frame generation im getting 200fps ! Cool ty
Great video. Very easy to follow. Noooow for a question. lol. After doing all of this, I now find that I cannot turn Vsync off, or the game will crash. That supposed to happen? lol
I need help, when I try to add starfield to the list for amd software, it says I don't have permissions, do I move my folder somewhere? How do I do this with Microsoft starfield on an amd ryzen 7
I'm getting 45 fps in Akila city, with rebar enabled and driver update. No DLSS mod, just using FSR at 75%, and all settings maxed. I'm using my 3070 laptop gpu. This is good. Before Akila was a forbidden place for me and had to dial FSR to 50% or turn everything to LOW. Thanks @Panjno, sure worked for me!
Do not use "all settings maxed". Probably ever, no matter what card. There is practically always some setting you want to drop at least one, to have little or no visual impact but great gains in performance.
In Starfield's case their ultra shadows seems to just bring down performance on Nvidia cards specifically. This has been analyzed to be consistent on all nvidia cards, and no AMD cards. So put the shadows on high at least.
@@wtfronsson oh right, I’ll do that. What I noticed was though fps improved, my render latency sky rocketed in Akila city. As you have advised if I change the shadow it will improve, thanks!
The DLSS part did not work at all. I had to uninstall my game and reinstall it. As soon as I moved the mod files in my game file, the game would no longer run...
Same thing happened to me. I’m going to try and reinstall. Sorry I’m no help
Careful with Which bridge mod you use, if you have a pirated copy. Apparently the mod author the video mentions is known for rigging his mods with mining programs to break pirated copies.
There are other bridging mods on Nexus.
Is DLSS mod work for GEFORCE GTX 1660Ti?
Also does resizable BAR work for the same GPU?
What upscaling works for this gpu?
no and no, only works for rtx 30 and 40 series
@@bartduwez8968 Why doesn't DLSS work for it?
@@EbuggeyGaming dlss requires special hardware called tensor cores. They are only installed starting from rtx 20 and up.
im sorry im not to good with pc stuff but how do i know if i have the DLSS thing for my pc ?
Please do call of duty modern warfare 2 next. We’ve been waiting long enough! lol. Very interested in seeing your take on that kind in game optimization.
not working with dxdgi.dll file and now after doing the mods method my controller doesn't work any help pls the end thing isn't working here
when i complete mods and dlls section it wont start the game.. it crashes as soon as it starts.. i run older verson of starfield so is my dlls fault?
Having the same issue did you find a fix ?
Just as an FYI I made a performance mod that doesn't decrease visual fidelity called "Optimal Performance" I recommend pairing it with these settings, it's free FPS.
trying to adjust my sharpness in the DLSS menu crashes my game? Any advice?
Any idea why enabling v sync makes the frame time graph start fluctuating and unstable ?😅
Nice. Though i have a reasonable system, i get 70 FPS using the DLSS mod on 2k res. But i'm running all ultra settings. I think if you're rocking 160+ fps, surely you could sacrifice a few frames for better eye candy? At least 'high' ??
The difference in visuals on most settings is not worth the cost they bring, only shadows are noticeable for that matter
you have a high end gaming rig and get low fps by default incredible. I think that the game is optimized for 30 fps like back in 1899 ^^
I can NOT FOR the life of me get these upscalers to work. I have done everything step by step and installed them and it just wont load the game. I have mods downloaded too, so I think that is causing issues. I was using vortex, and once I downloaded the upscaler files manually and tried to load the game through vortex it just wouldnt start. Then tried to load it through steam and nothing. Starfield just started redownloading the entire game randomly now. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know. I have 3060ti btw
Panjo or someone who can explain me why mi screen has this annoying white flickering when I enable Freesync?
my game used to run kinda good but after i installed mods the game starter to lagg alot even if i removed my mods the game is still lagging alot dont know what to do
Where is the link for Rebar
3070 is almost not able to play this ike 1440 80% rendering scale low to med settings
my i7-7700k and 1070 8gb is running it with 45 fps, that sucks, but hey, at least it's running
I got 100 fps on my rtx 3050 & ryzen 5 4500, thank you very much. +1 sub
Do we have to uninstall the dlss mod and rescaler for this coming update or just leave it on?
Yes that’s what I’d like to know.
Hey Panjo,
It's been awhile my friend and to just show how long I have been watching I shall say 1 sentence you may remember!
"Oh yeah, Mr. Krabs Mr. Krabs Oh Yeah"😅
What's a good FPS counter that I can use universally on my PC? Any help greatly appreciated! Thanks
MSI Afterburner + Rivatuner
any idea why i keep getting this error after i download and install all mods ? Error Code : 0xc0000142
Now we have to open BIOS.... nice... Thanks to Bethesda... many thanks....
Cheers for this I was locked at 60 fps until I unlocked my screen 🤦 now running at a constant 144 fps big difference in quality, now getting my moneys worth out of that 4080
i got a problem with the dxgi.dll file,i have follow step by step all your setup but it seems when i try to open the game nothing happens,so i start dragging one by one the files that i put in the root and then and only then when i removed dxgi.dll, the game launched again, idk why this is happening and i will need some infos if anyone have the same issue here, btw i am using an 1070nvdia gaming x with ryzen 7 2700x,i have like 40fps now but i would love to see if this mod can make any actual dif in the game otherwise shit happens i guess :)
My game crashes when I try to change the 0.700 to 1.000, any tips?
just updated drivers and Rebar still says no in the nvidia control panel
Is the dlss mod going to work for amd rx 6000 series gpu? Is it not only for nvidia gpus??
DLSS is an nvidia only feature
Where are your old rust vids man? for some reason i was feeling nostalgic and wanted to watch your vids from like 10-9 years back.
How is/are he/she able to record dynamic FPS so smoothly?
after the new update DLSS mod is giving me stuck loading screens over and over. Had to delete mod. It was great while it lasted.
One big thing that helped me immensely was if your monitor supports gsync do the following. Also I’m running a 3060ti and an i5-12600k. Enable the following in nvidia control panel: set up gsync for the correct monitor, under 3D settings enable the following: low latency mode: ultra, vsync: fast, texture filtering trilinear optimization: on, triple buffering: on, maximum frame rate: set this at the desired frame rate you consistently average for Starfield. For me I could get high 70s (75-78) but my consistent average was closer to 70-72, so I set it at 70. Then in Starfield enable vsync. What a lot of people don’t know is you HAVE TO enable
Vsync for gsync to work properly with some games. There is a lot of confusion out there about this, but I’m telling you, just try it without vsync settings enabled, and then enable vsync, the difference in experience is massive. I’m telling you, the game went from a hitchy rough feeling experience to a very smooth constant 70 fps after making some additional tweaks. I don’t normally run gsync/vsync, but with this game having such low performance it really does smooth out the experience and make the game just feel better. Hit me up if you want to know what mods I installed and my other nvidia control panel/Starfield settings.
lmao we have the exact same setup what are your settings in starfield
got ur gpu xD
@@DreadnoughtAlphaOne haha that’s sick! After the patch yesterday these are my settings since performance actually got better lol.
Render resolution: 82%
Graphics preset: custom
Everything medium except:
-Crowd density: low
-Motion blur: off
Vsync: off (I did some more research and found multiple people reporting that turning vsync on in game and on in nvidia control panel had caused issues with hitching. It seems to have improved the experience, but it’s barely noticeable)
FSR2 upscaling: 100% sharpening
Enable VRS: on
Film grain: 0.00
Also in nvidia control panel I usually use DSR set to 2.25x and 4-8% smoothness. I had not tried this with starfield because the performance was just barely making it. But after the patch have turned these settings on, and with the 82% render resolution, and FSR2 upscaling with DSR enabled I see less of those distant shimmering objects and oddly aliased edges. Turning on DSR 2.25x made NO DIFFERENCE at all to performance, so give it a shot.
Oh and the vsync off comment is only for the Starfield in game settings. You want to leave vsync enabled on fast in nvidia control panel with all the previous settings I mentioned in my first comment.
I am loving the game but it’s very poorly optimized. I have a 3090 TI and an AMD Ryzen 9 79xx series and I have the dlss, mod installed plus the resizable bar and I still can’t get past the 40-60 fps unless I switch to medium or low settings SMH
I play destiny 2 on all very high and get 100-140 fps, 4k. This game is just not “optimized” like Todd Lieward stated
Why not try it at New Atlantis? Everyone can get 60+ fps out in the field
Me interesa. Tengo una rx 580 8gb y una rx 6500xt 4gb.
I finaly can play this game at 1440p with 3070 ti 60fps. Thank you very much.
What CPU you have? I've got 3070ti 13700k 32 GB 4000mhz and on a SSD and I swear I feel like I should be getting 80-100 on 1080 or is this game just that shit with optimization...?
Will this work for a 2070. The dlss?
anyone get stupid input lag? ill move with WASD and space, and its will execute the combination of button presses like a solid 1 second after i stop pressing keys
does anyone know of a mod to have 5120x1440 full screen ? i have a samsung 49" and cant get that resolution. So annoying. highest i can get is 3440x1440 windowed.
I'm running an RTX 3060 with an Intel i5-10400F @ 2.90 GHz. This guide did help me to get to mid 30s, so the game at least functions. lol. My my GPU and CPU, am I realistically supposed to be able to pull some better frames? Or am I wasting my time? Great video btw. You got a sub from me.
Hi, what was fps when walking on the street of the NEW ATLANTIS before you applied all those tips?
If it is a laptop gpu you should get around 40 fps in new atlantis (that's what I get). Be sure to have updated drivers (you can check in Nvidia gforce experience), be sure the FSR2 is ON and change the scale resolution around 67% with everything in mid-low.
You can also: activate Game Mode on windows, deactivate xbox game bar or nvidia overlay, deactivate background apps and change the energy plan to HIGH performance (not max).
I followed every step for the DLSS twice and cant get it to work. Starfield just crashes before opening, I have the script extender with a mod blocker on. I have no idea what I am doing wrong I just want this game to run better 90+ hours in
My game crashes when i turn on vsync, try disabling it before installing dlss mod
i9-10900k 3080ti, 64gb 3600mhz ram, 2tb nvme ssd, some mods and i get barely 50fps
my frame rate went from 50-60 on ultra at 1440 to 80-95 with the new drivers, sheeesh
what gpu? Was you using MS store/ xbox app?
My issue is the constant freezing, stuttering and audio drops. I get an average of 70 frames so that's not the issue. And yes it is loaded to an ssd. BGS just didn't optimize this game for PC
same here, FPS is passable but my main issue is the shitty audio
@thomascatalano_ I found a mod that's nearly completely fixed the issue! It's a cache issue. There's a mod on nexus called Disk Cache Enabler. Download that and follow all the installation instructions and you'll have a smooth game! Night and day difference!
I appreciate the information but it would be helpful in the future if you would slow down a bit.
Game looks fantastic on my Radeon RX 7090 XTX at maxed everything ... I don't think I need to tweak anything yet.
How about if you're using a 1080ti?
( This PC, Documents, My Games, Starfield ) and set Borderless=1 to 0 and leave Fullscreen=1 as 1 .
do i need the dlls mod having a frs3?

After putting puglin d dlss game don't turn on
THANK U. my game no longer looks and runs like ass

i actually lose fps by following all instructions, i went from 57-59 to 51-54. I was hovering around the high 50's before watching vid, changed minimal things in setting according to video, fps fluctuated +/- 2-3 frames, so i was like nice by the time im done if im starting off here i should see some improvement. went through all steps enabled dlss and now im at 51 fps in same location as before adding. help please. Dlss sucks, I skipped that shit and went from avg 60-90
3090 5900x
Make sure u do the rbar
same here, these steps actually dropped my framerates by a small margin. I expect it has something to do with enabling ReBAR
thanks bro my game completely stopped working!
The game does not require SSD anymore, a new mod fixes the cache of the game and now it work flawlessly on HDD too.
I installed it on a HDD when it came out. Runs fine.
