You can easily do a Part II video with houses like By Kilian, Jo Malone, Byredo, Le Labo, Juliette has a gun, Mancera, Penhaligon's, Carolina Herrera, Replica/Margiela, MFK, Clean, etc. -- these are still very accessible for most of us. 🙂
Thanks for mentioning me. That Lola bottle is so kitschy - love when you pull that one out. I was surprised to hear you mention Aura as your intro to Mugler, I would have thought Angel was. I still enjoy Aura! So interesting! 🥰
Aura was the one that got me hooked and then I retried everything else, Womanity was my second purchase and then Angel, but weirdly I was so hesitant with Alien, and now, I regret not finding it earlier and getting a full bottle of the older formulation. 😥
Flash! Just found this tidbit re Hermes. "Hermès is primarily owned by the Hermès family, which through its holding company, H51, holds the majority of the company's stake. Hermès is one of the few luxury brands that remained independent from large groups like LVMH. Yet, by 2023, the Arnault family, which owns LVMH, amassed a stake in Hermès of around 20%. This prompted the Hermès family to consolidate its ownership in a new holding to prevent the takeover from Bernard Arnault. In 2022, Hermès generated €11.6 billion in revenue and €3.36 in profits." This article was dated June 18, 2023.
Yes I think I found a similar thing when I made that conglomerate brands video. LVMH attempted a hostile takeover of Hermès, which was thankfully resisted ☺️ lovely that one big brand is just itself.
Chanel and Guerlain is what I lean towards the most, then Dior. While JPG and Roberto Cavalli are actually houses that never quite worked out for me. 🤷♀ I only ever tried Black Perfecto because of you (and my indominable urge to buy stuff) and with it got to enjoy the whole LPRN line, after not loving the original years ago I had missed out on beautiful flakers like Légère and Black Perfecto Florale. The new dress on the packaging looks so much better imho, now I'm tempted by the EdT. And LPRN Intense is so different indeed, the patchouli surprised me.
Aah wow, that's interesting! I also haven't loved Roberto Cavalli from what I've tried and most of JPG also hasn't been for me, I think if I tried more Guerlain, it would just be a rabbit hole 😂 I'm happy that you enjoyed Black Perfecto 🖤 Thanks for watching 🥰
La petite robe noir intense is not what I would call sweet. It's got a slight masculine feel to it but still being feminine. the blueberry note is absolutely gorgeous. this one projects like crazy.. slightly sweet, but not intensely sweet
Do you know if you have the original release or the re-release? I have been trying to find an older bottle but I'm not sure of the differences. I really want to try it ☺️ I love blueberry!
Oh, this was quite personal ! I feel like having spent half an hour with you over coffee, discussing fragrances and our taste. Chanel is among the most important fragrance houses in the world. But some of their most hyped fragrances are quite simply dated and unbearable. No.5 being the one in question. I find Coco Madmoiselle Intense and Coco Noir absolutely irresistible. Their Chance Eau Tendre EDT, Chance Eau Friache EDT and Chance EDT are very enjoyable. Dior's Miss Dior Bloooming Bouquet is uncomonly fine ! YSL Libre Intense is a standout from the line ! Gucci Guilty Elixir is strong and assertive, but quite special. JPG's Le Beau line is too weak for todays standards. EDT in particular. Overall, this was very intersting confession. Enjoyable, no question !
I do really enjoy Chanel nowadays and I own and wear all 5 that I have. My favourites are Coco and Coco Mademoiselle intense. I think with Dior I just really like the Privée line, although I wouldn't say no to a bottle of Pure Poison still. With Gucci, I really like Bloom Ambrosia Di fiori, but I don't need more than one Bloom flanker in my life... I have way too much fragrance as it is 🤦♀️
This was an interesting list. I would also get Caftan from Ysl if I could, but I can't even find it anywhere. It seems to have disappeared from the face of the earth 😢. L' interdit Rouge is everything. Love it.
I just bought l'interdit rouge ❤️ I have a store nearby that stocks YSL fragrances, they for sure have tuxedo and a few others, I will check for caftan because I'm curious. I talk about trying Babycat in my next video. Thanks for watching 🥰
I've tried or have at least half of Miller Harris's. Those 10ml bottles can often be found in sets cheaply and TK Maxx regularly gets a load of 50 or 100ml bottles in. Anyway, I love Violet Ida. Reminds me of Dior Homme Intense a bit but possibly better. Other than that my preference goes to the citrussy ones like Citron Citron, Reverie De Bergamote, Le Pamplemousse and Le Jasmin. Leather Rouge and the rest of the black label ones (though sometimes they change the labels) are nice but I haven't worn them enough to get a real idea
Violet Ida is a wow, I agree! I've not tried any of the others except reverie de bergamot which was a bit too dense of the musk for me, but I would love to try leather rouge, I've heard great things about that one. Today I'm wearing their Peau Santal. I really love their range, especially their older fragrances ☺️ thanks for watching 🥰
Kelly Caleche for me didn’t have leather. It was powdery floral. Or dry floral. Like sandy notes. But Hermes Galop on the other hand- was what I wanted Kelly Caleche to be- rosey bookbinding leather or expensive leather handbags but not brand new leather handbag smell. There is No tannery sharpness but the leather is obvious. I used up my whole sample immediately and keep missing Galop but can’t decide if I want to buy a decant or try to find a second hand bottle or what. It’s pricey.
Oh yes! I remember trying Gallop when I was in a store that was closing down! I'd never seen it before and the design of it intrigued me, it was indeed leathery. Hermès make very striking and distinctive fragrances that are very definitely Hermès. They certainly have a style. I have since tried Kelly caleche and liked it but thought it was along similar lines to Bottega Veneta. I agree it's shame that Hermès are so pricey. Thanks for watching 🥰
Claire, if you ever pass by a ZARA, go smell one from their new line: Splendid Bronze.. To my nose this is s dupe off Alien Essence absolue, wich I adore!! But other says its just Alien edp… I do not agree, but I only smelled the newer versions of Alien, not the vintage ones.. Have you yet smelled this dupe or have a opinion on this? Can see you have both😊
I will go to my local Zara when my ankle feels a bit better and see if I can see it there, I have maybe three more weeks in the boot before it's healed. I would love to try that and see! I think the old version of alien has the menthol thing and that can does mirror the slightly medicinal opening of alien essence absolue, so maybe that's what people mean? I'm not sure! 🥰
@@dr.claire.perfume Oh, poor feets!! Get well soon😊🦾 Well, THAT might be the case. Makes sence.. If the first formular of Alien smelles just like the Zara dupe I understand why people were sad they discontinued it.. I think the cheap dupe is actually better than the newest formular of Alien.. 🫡Figure that! But I also se some similarities to the essence (wich I miss!!) but I guess its just because its deeper and more rounded..
If it has that beautiful alluring mysterious muskiness at the end like old Alien, then I'm sold! 🤣 the new formulation is just nothing in comparison sadly.
Yes absolutely ☺️ I've got about 5 sets to review right now 🤣 I'm quite inundated! As soon as I get a new laptop and get back up and running after losing my hard drive and files, I will review some! Thanks for watching 🥰
Noir de noir is so damn good! I bought the 5 oz body spray, it's strong enough that's all you need! I think I paid $60 for it. Same with the tobacco vanille, also black orchid. I have all three in body sprays and they are definitely strong enough!
Oh! I didn't even know they had a bodyspray! I will check that out. NdN is soooo good! Red wine and dark chocolate and vampires 🦇 I tried the Armaf Club de Nuit Intense Woman clone of it but it just wasnt quite there, pretty good for sure, definitely nice, but just lacking a bit of magic ✨ And wow I love Black Orchid too 😍 such a stunner! Happy Sunday 😊
@@dr.claire.perfume have you tried armaf untold yet? I actually like it better than Bacurat rouge! It has less of the rubber glove smell. I tried all the clones of that and it's the best!
@@jasonmelo9379 I haven't! I tried Lattafa Rouge ages ago, but that's been about it for anything approaching it. Armaf are pretty good from what I've tried so far. I much prefer them to Lattafa and Afnan. 🙂
Marc jacobs is one line I can’t do at all 🤦♀️all those daisies don’t appeal to me ! Lola notes does intrigue me however, JPG I LOVE 💕 classic intense (discontinued) was gorgeous I gave the last of mine to my daughter-in-law because she loves it more than I do ❤
Yes, I would absolutely love to have tried classique intense! That sounds like it was stunning! Jpg have a new classique flanker out, I can't remember what it's called but that one is also gold, I really want to try it! Marc Jacobs have just become a bit underwhelming for me now. I don't know if it's them or my tastes just changed 🤷♀️
Hi Claire 💖 I'm with you on Lovefest Burning Cherry and Invite Only Amber. I rarely layer fragrances but those two together are chef's kiss. My hairdresser, who is very into fragrance herself, raved about how wonderful I smelt when i wore them both. Do you layer them too?
Wow! That's always a compliment isn't it when someone who loves fragrance says something! Yes I've layered those two, and honestly I don't really later perfumes that much, but they seemed related to each other, so the thought was there and it does really work! I also tried vanilla with lovefest which I was less sure about 😂
I loved your video! My favourite brand is Dior and also Marc Jacobs has a special place in my heart, although I don't use MJ perfumes as often as I did in the past. Pure Poison is one of the best perfumes out there, even in its reformulated, watered down version, and if I had to use one perfume for the rest of my life I would probably choose PP. If you ever decide to add it to your collection, try to find the older version, the one with the white cap..
Thank you ❤️ I also love Dior most out of the big three of Chanel, Dior and YSL. It's certainly the brand that I own most of. I feel like Marc Jacobs lost their ability to make anything different to what's gone before for them. The perfect line is pleasant but unexciting. I do look for the vintage pure poison bottles on eBay but I'm never sure what is real and what is fake. I will find one I trust eventually! Thanks for watching 🥰
I can’t believe you don’t know Elle from YSL! As a Midnight Poison lover you have a big chance to enjoy this one! (a bit fruitier in the OG version, a bit more resinous in the intense, but they are both worth trying)
I thought it was discontinued so I didn't mention it 😂 maybe it's not though? I tried Elle in store in a closing down sale a year or so ago, they had testers but no bottles to buy 🤦♀️, but I didn't try the intense version! Thanks for your recommendation 🥰
@@dr.claire.perfume Right, it probably is! But I still see it around. It is a one that grows on you, I think. I wasn’t impressed the first time, but definitely worth it to give this one a chance, especially because this DNA is so rare nowadays.
Mademoiselle is definitely that fragrance that makes you feel put together and confident,I really like coco but would love to test out more of the Chanel line Jadore is one I don’t enjoy but smells amazing on my sister
Yes same Frances! J'adore I love on others, it smells really pretty, but it just doesn't suit me. I don't feel me wearing it. And yes! I've been trying lots of Chanel recently! It's taken me ages to appreciate them 🤦♀️
If you go on the Miller Harris website and type it in to search for it, it comes up, but otherwise it's discontinued elsewhere, they just have the stock that they have and when it's gone it's gone I think. They do come up secondhand on eBay occasionally too, at least in the UK. I hope that helps. 🥰
This is such a great conversational video -- by which I mean, it would be so much fun to chat with you about your choices and such. For example, I would highly recommend the L'Interdit Rouge if you're choosing just one from Givenchy; it is by far the best fragrance from the brand and it is one of my top 5 at the moment! And I laughed out loud with shock when I saw the bottle of the JPG fragrance you would choose because it is probably the classiest of his horrible gaudy/tacky bottles, lol, while still being equally/highly risque, haha!
Thank you 🤣 I literally have no one in my day to day life who has more than a vague interest in fragrance. People think I'm nuts 🤣 l'interdit rouge is definitely coming home with me at some point. I filmed a video about everything that came into my collection this year a few weeks back and that shocked me enough to hold off for a bit on another purchase. I have finished a few fragrances this summer though so at least they are rotating. LOL JPG aren't great are they?! 🤣
I didn't try the modern Trésor, I really want to smell it and see if it's changed! I had no idea what that slightly dusty smell in it was until I read that it used that musk and then I realised that was what I was smelling! It's so distinctive!
It came out in 1990 I think so I bet it's been changed a few times just because of regulatory changes. I'm not sure how different it is or whether it's even noticeable, but I would love to know if it is different now.
Hi Claire ❤ I hope you are having an awesome weekend ❣️ Love this video idea ❣️ I feel the same way about Chanel #05❣️ Orchid Soleil is on my list of perfumes to try ❣️ Have you by any chance tried the new Cafe Rose?
I have tried the new cafe rose, it's on my list to go sniff when I can visit a store again. My broken ankle is much better but I have a few more weeks left wearing the boot. Good luck finding orchid soleil, it's super rare now unfortunately. Have a lovely weekend 🥰
I've owned 4 fragrances from Prada, I really liked Prada Amber and loved Prada Tendre especially, I also had the first version of Prada infusion d'iris from 2012, I finished a bottle of all three. I also had a bottle of Prada La Femme and I ended up decluttering it as I got an oil that was a clone of Chanel Beige and I thought it smelt better than la Femme. Right now, I like some of the modern infusions range. Do you have a favourite Prada fragrance? 🥰
@@dr.claire.perfume I had Candy when I was younger and I loved it. I still own the empty bottle because I like smelling it now and then but I don't repurchase it because I can't wear it anymore.
@@chiaracoppi6668 candy is one that I've only ever smelt in store and actually many many years ago, not recently. I did have Kenzo Flower l'elixir though, which a lot of people said was similar to Candy just with a bit of more synthetic edge to it and perhaps not as powdery. Did you ever try that one?
@@chiaracoppi6668 I'm sorry I think it's long discontinued, I don't think you'll find it, it was very loved though. I just thought you might have tried it if you like Candy.
Oh I love LPRNI, the cassis really helps give some green crispness to the sweet, cotton candy blueberry. I found a travel spray and have used it very sparingly since it’s hard to find. Love it! My other favorite, being Womanity (and especially when paired with Versace Versense) seems to be unavailable here in the States.. ugh! It’s really my perfect fig! I adored Gucci Rush when it first came out.. well before my journey into the world of fragrance. I’ve since purchased a badly reformulated (although there’s debate surrounding if it’s been reformulated) version and find it rather plasticy and jarring.. although it will always be in my favorite nostalgic scents. I honestly cannot handle Vanilla 28 or Deja Vu; both pull so musty / dusty on me. I sort of like Invite Only, although I will say their atomizers are HORRIBLE. I actually like the Utopia, Pink Pepper and Royal Sugared Patchouli (I’m terrible with remembering the names!) I fell in love with Hermes 24 Faubourg surprisingly.. sampled because of Princess Diana.. and didn’t hate it! Layered with Libre Intense is literally angelic! Also love the icy crispness of Hermes Mervielles Bleue. Ps. I’m 100% with you on the Pure Poison! Masterpiece.
Yeah Guerlain re released LPRN intense here and it just wasn't as loved second time around, I don't know if it was reformulated. Either way, I'm kicking myself that I didn't buy a bottle when I saw one secondhand a few months before this video. 🤦♀️ Gucci Rush has certainly been reformulated, Gucci even changed the official notes listed! I mean that's pretty blatant! Kayali have gone a bit crazy recently, I've completely lost track with their releases. I think they might do better to release fewer fragrances per year. I've been curious to try 24 Faubourg and have almost bought some partial bottles a few times now. I was going to make a video about fragrances royals are said to have worn but I really disliked white rose from Floris (that QEII wore for her wedding) so that kinda put me off that whole idea 🤣 I need to get Pure Poison, it's on the list! Thanks for watching 🥰
@@dr.claire.perfume I’d seen the new bottle for the re release of LPRNI, and people were saying it was the same, but the notes listed for the newest one had more rose and no cassis.. so maybe that’s why it wasn’t as loved. Glad to know I wasn’t going crazy thinking Rush had been reformulated, lol.. Reddit and Fragrantica seemed to think not. Thanks for the clarity! And maybe you could get a sample of Hermes, I was honestly expecting a very “Tresor” scent based off the notes, but it’s really quite a beautiful vintage floral and I typically hate vintages..Totally would love to hear more about Royal fragrances, but completely understand why you’d be hesitant 😂 I’ve heard Princess Catherine enjoys Jo Malone Orange Blossom..and Prince Philip ( or possibly King Charles can’t remember) liked Green Irish Tweed.. and Diana wore something else before she started wearing Hermes. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Rush to me is pretty close but not quite the same as the old version, despite the notes changes. 🤷♀️ The partials for the Hermes were cheaper than a sample ironically 🤣 if I see one again at that price, I will try it! 🥰
@@dr.claire.perfume I agree about Rush! The awful thing is my sweet husband knows how much I loved it so, unbeknownst to him at the time, he brought me home a FAKE sold from a mall kiosk.. worst part? $100 and NO refunds. I found a small decant online and while it definitely had the Rush DNA, I could smell a distinct difference.. less smooth and seemingly way more patchouli. Not sure what it was but needless to say my little 10ml decant has sat there for months.. I’ll give it a sniff for nostalgia but really can’t wear it. Not sure where you’re located, but I find a lot of travel sprays / decants on FragranceNet and DecantX. Hope you can find one!
KAYALI vanilla is gorgeous and the only one I would like to own ,I enjoyed the citrus one and flew through a tiny bottle that Lala sent me Ohh Hermes 🥹haven’t tried any of those ! Powdery leather sounds gorgeous Love and hugs ❤
Hermes are weirdly hard to find here, not many places stock them. I suspect it's because Hermes are not part of a bigger conglomerate brand and so have a poorer distribution network? Kayali have some great fragrances, the vanilla is addictive 🥰
Uff, this would be mostly a difficult task for me to sit and choose one over the other 😅 I really wish i was able to smell Angel from 2005 that Ropion worked on and not the re formulation.
They older bottles come up secondhand occasionally, look for ones with the fat atomiser tubes and Thierry Mugler written down the side, although from the perfumer and the date, maybe you mean Alien not Angel?
Thank you Claire. I recently discovered your channel and have watched a few, found them interesting. I am tempted to buy one or two fragrances but really want to discover something that I love and not just from hearing about them or indeed be tempted by the brand or bottle design. In the past I have stayed away from the main classic brands, and gone for the niche ones like Goutal, Jo Malone, Miller Harris, Diptique, Byredo, Stella McCartney (sadly discontinued). I would be interested to hear about these brands if you would consider a video with them in it. Also it would be very helpful to learn and be more discerning about perfumes that suit different lifestyles, e.g. I used to have a corporate job but now I teach and work from home. Also don't have as much social life as used to - more likely to entertain at home, dinner parties etc., and so I wouldn't like very strong powdery, woody, oriental, spicy ones, although I would like to learn more if you are looking to build a video about lifestyle and fragrances. Thank you for reading.
Hello! Yes sampling is the way to go for sure 😊 in this Saturday's video I talk about a miller Harris fragrance and a few weeks ago I spoke about Diptyque. I have been testing some Byredo. I will hopefully get to the other brands eventually... Thank you for your comments about the types of fragrances that you might want to wear and would be interested in hearing about. It's very useful! Thanks for watching 🥰
Terre de Hermes parfum could be possibly the one from the house of Hermes that i like most. Jean Claude Ellena is a kind of cool guy with interesting and likeable personality. He wrote books about perfume and the guy himself never wears perfume in his life. It smells refreshing and mature. Very wearable in the office. Much much better than the aventus creed i think. I also just dicovered Givenchy L’interdit EDP Rouge by Dominique Ropion. I love the smell and it is very seductive. I dont know if a gentleman can wear this scent. This fragrance is a top choice to buy if you want to give to female friends or relatives. It is not pricey but still very impressive imho. Long before i started my journey into fragrances i have impression that designer fragrances are too mass appealing , short lasting and boring. I’ve started my journey with niche fragrances first but after listening to your videos and other reviews I started to appreciate and open up slowly to designer fragrances. There must be gems somewhere waiting to be discovered. For Chanel, so far for me it is Cuir de Russie. It is classic. For Dior, i dont like any of the Sauvages. Maybe Tobacolor. But im curious about the New Look 2003 and the latest L’or de J’Adore by the newly appointed directeur of the house Mr Kurkdjian. So far he never dissapoints me in MFK line. If you happen to try the New Look or L’Or De J’Adore please give us a review. YSL never excites me. I dont know why. I have few Tom Fords. Ombre Leather Parfum, EDT and Tobacco Vanille were my favourites. Black Orchid too. I love the jasmine, violet leaf and orris notes in the Ombre Leather parfum. But now at this moment I would love to have Soleil Neige. Very light citrus and musky on your skin. Elegant. For Miller Haris, i like Etui Noir. Extraordinaire Orchid Leather by Van Cleef and Arpel is also lovely. Russian Tea Masque Milano by Julian Rasquinet have leather accord with raspberry. Maybe you will like it? For Guerlain I’m gravitated towards either Mitsuoko or Habit Rouge. Your description about La Petite Robe Noir is lovely and tick all the boxes. Should give this a try. I wonder if you have tried L'Heure Bleue. This is Queen Elizabeth favourite perfume. I have nothing to say about Mugler, Lancome and Marc Jacobs. Mugler Alien bottle is so ugly that it has given me bad impression on designer perfumes. Maybe i should gave them a try sometime. Kayali have many positive reviews from female reviewers. I want to try the Vanilla one. JPG Le Male will be my first choice.
I think there are good and bad fragrances in niche and designer. I don't think price necessarily indicates quality and many brands that appear niche are actually part of bigger conglomerate brands, so the line is blurry between the two. Older designer to me is much more often something I tend to love. I am very sensitive to ambroxan and iso E super, so brands like Goldfield and Banks, BDK, PDM are things I struggle with, as well as many mainstream modern designer fragrances (e.g. Valentino, modern Mugler, Paco Rabanne). I tried Cuir de Russie at the weekend, along with the new version of New Look, I havent tried the old version of it sadly. I did review Dior j'adore l'or 2023 when it came out, it will be around 7 months back. It didn't wow me, but it is pretty and my friend at work wears it. The projection is nuclear 😂 I can smell her a 100m away, she heavily oversprays though. In the air it smells mainly of greener slightly soapy jasmine. Soleil Neige is a nice one 😊 did you try Oud Minerale yet? Étui noir is a stunner and orchid leather is my favourite from VCA. I have a set of samples for Masque Milano, I will try them and make a video eventually. I have tried l'heure bleue, it was fine but wasn't a love for me. I appreciate Guerlain. I know they have got very expensive lately and less incentive but I still like them. Vintage Alien is a stunner! Really one I always feel powerful wearing. 😊 The new version, not so much. 😂 Thanks for watching 🥰
@@dr.claire.perfume just bought Soleil Neige and it is very nice albeit not long lasting. It is suitable to wear in a cool weather or when you are skiing in Alps during sunny time. Oud Minerale is a masculine scent in my opinion. It smells of sea water, metallic and oozonic to me. I would prefer gentle fluidity silver by MFK, Green Irish Tweed and Cool Water by Davidoff rather than Oud Mineral for the price point. I would love to wait on your review on Masque Milano perfumes. Hope you can settle down quickly with your new laptop.
Noir de Noir is stunning, and worth it in my opinion. However, there is a 1 to 1 dupe called Club de Nuit Intense by Armaf that actually projects more and lasts longer. I have both and use the CDNI to top up on days that I wear NdN. I also have Noir Pour Femme, Sahara Noir (my HG) and all the Orchids but I love the Soleil the very best!😁
Yes!!! Club de nuit intense woman is absolutely fab isn't it? Not exactly the same, and linear sadly but so good! I was really impressed by it ☺️ Do you have velvet orchid Lumiere by any chance? Is it worth looking for?
I love Misia so much. I have the 2015 EDT that they just made the one year--it was a birthday gift, and I keep it in the refrigerator and wear it on special occasions. So beautiful.
I know the person who sent me a sample of Misia had both the EDP and the EDT and she ended up only keeping the EDT. People did seen to prefer it in general! I think she sent me a sample of the EDT but I'm not sure because her writing isn't clear for the T! I should ask her. Either way, it's wow! I'd be looking after it well like you too! Thanks for watching 🥰
Great video, personally I still love Mugler 💕I have two unopened bottles of essence absolue I really want to open one but can’t decide weather to sell or keep 😁 I love the Angel flankers they are so beautiful. More importantly where is your eyeshadow from? It’s lovely 💕
You have some good ones ☺️ very lucky to have alien essence absolue. That one is in huge demand and will sell for a great price if you don't decide to keep it, but it's a stunner! I think my eyeshadow is the old wet and wild comfort zone palette mixed with the elf earth and oceans palette. Thanks for watching 🥰
What i thorpughly enjoy and sporecosre about your inputs claire .is your wonderfull descriptions and your ability to articulate so well , and without being repetative .. So inviting and knowledgable .. So easy on the ears 👂... Best review ive heard on youtube ..😊.
The Soie Malaquais bottle was a mega draw to me even though I’m not a huge sandalwood fan. I would love to find a similar bottle to collect though. I highly thumbs up the Kelly Caleche, as I got a .50 ounce travel spray for a good price on fragrance net. I even started liking Eau de Narcisse Bleu recently after blind buying a travel spray. At first I found it musty, dusty blue but it surprised me with a nicer happier ending.
They are absolutely stunning those bottles 😍 my friend has it. I have since tried Kelly caleche edp and really like it 😊 but I've not tried Narcisse Bleu. Happy you enjoyed it in the end. Thanks for watching 🥰
Oh, Claire! How I wish we were within easy shipping locales -- I have a brand new bottle of LVEB L'Eclat purchased last year from Ulta and I've sprayed maybe 3-4 times, and I love it! But it's hard to remember to reach for it when I keep it in the fridge and I have others others out that I am "working on" lol. I would be happy to swap 10-30mls of it for some of the Marc by Marc Jacobs, which used to be my signature scent for over a decade. My last bottle went bad during a phase when I wasn't wearing much perfume and I was keeping it in a very sunny bathroom (clueless at the time) and I ended up tossing the whole thing 2 years ago, and it was still pretty full. I was crying when I went to Sephora to replace it and it was nowhere in sight. 😢
Oh thank you ❤️ I actually just sprayed that Marc Jacobs about 2 hours ago, I felt a sudden urge to wear it, but I would gladly share some. Yes, the shipping regulations on fragrance to and from the UK are insane... I have my dupe oil so no worries, not quite the same but it's gets there after a few hours 🤣 Storage is something people don't think about until they have something go off. It's really heartbreaking. I only had one turn a little on me and that was DKNY be delicious maybe over a decade ago, I remember using the last 5ml very quickly because I knew it would only get worse...
Hi Claire I love Tomford fragrance my fragrance is Bitter peach and lost Cherry. I have several Marc Jacob fragrances forgot the names. Thanks for sharing 🥰
Bitter peach is a really stunning fragrance, I don't love peach personally, but I smell that one and see it's well constructed and a great one if you do love peach! Thanks for watching 🥰
I was shocked when I saw Veronica liked it too 😂 I've been umming and aahing about secondhand partials for months because I really don't need a full bottle, I thought it was just me being weird liking that one! But omg those bottles are lovely too 🤣 I'm hoping now the parfum has come out, a few more EDTs may be getting decluttered and I can pounce 😂 actually since I filmed this, JPG divine is now out, so I will also try that one! Thanks for watching 🥰
I only said that I thought it had been reformulated because I sent someone a sample of mine and then later gave them a bottle because they liked it so much and they compared the two and said it was slightly different. But yes, there's the new version out now too! I find it odd how the bottles all look virtually identical now. The colours and different dresses made them distinctive! Thanks for watching 🥰
I wear a really cheap one 🫢 I have super oily skin so I wear a matte one, Revolution Conceal and Define in F4, it's mainly ok, but it breaks up around the bottom of my nose after 4/5 hours. I'm sure there are better out there, but it's good for filming. 🥰
@@dr.claire.perfume oh I love that it’s cheap, we can eat and pay the rent aswell as look fresh! Goals😂🙌🏼 I actually wore the golden oldie Revlon Colorstay foundation on my wedding day🤓 worked great! I’ll check this one out😍
That's a classic! Yeah foundation can be crazily expensive for sure, from my experience you just need to try a few and there's usually an affordable one that works. I recently tried the new YSL one and I found it incredibly drying (and I'm oily!) and that it had very little coverage. 🤷♀️
Aah that's good to know! I've always wanted to try that! I do love Terracotta though and actually I completely forgot about it for this video 🤣 I'd probably get that too!
Yes! I tried it before it disappeared from stores here and I've been on the lookout for a secondhand bottle. I really like that one actually, but I can only find it on the lancôme website so I assumed it was discontinued and they were selling the remaining stock.
I think it depends... If I'm at home or I have fragrance with me, I will reapply. When I get home from work, I often reapply or put something different on. I also wear fragrance to bed. I don't think I overspray really. It depends on what occasion it is and my mood. If I want to be noticed, I spray more. This morning I sprayed 6 times I think. But yes, it will be more when get home and more when I go to bed. Thanks for watching 🥰
I don't spray on clothes in general as I worry about staining. I have quite often applied fragrance and even with spraying on skin, ended up having to change my top as fragrance got onto it and stained it...
Guerlain really intrigues me and I’d love to delve into that line ! The only Givenchy I have is Hot contour And the only mugler I have is alien Essence absolue, you have quite a lot
I'm sure you'd find many loves with Guerlain, they have such a huge number of fragrances to try at many different pricepoints. Givenchy hot couture really stands out! It's a really striking fragrance. It was a good find that alien essence absolue bottle, I'm looking forward to wearing it in the cold weather 🥰
Thank you ❤️ I don't know where you are, but it's currently on sale on the UK Miller Harris website, 100ml is £62.50. 50ml is out of stock. It does also come up on eBay sometimes.
I feel like I must have tried that as I think I've been through the entire range now, but I have to admit I don't remember it at all. I will go back and try it when my ankle is better, three more weeks and it should have healed ☺️ thanks for watching 🥰
I actually thought I would hate it before I tried it 🤣 I don't know why 🤷♀️ I really don't think the name or the bottle go with the fragrance at all! 🥰
hi < I really enjoyed your video about favorite fragrances for each house, I would like to say you for me from Lancome could be "eau de lancome" and "Poeme", Also I owe some fragrances from the house of Diptyque, I would suggest you to get samples< i love this brand as brings you to different places and different settings
Thank you! ❤️ I have tried Poême, that's a classic! And ô de lancôme, if that's the one you mean? But not for a long time. Diptyque have some lovely ones 😍 I really like orphéon and also Fleur de peau. Eau capitale is beautiful too but very strong! Which would you recommend from them? ❤️ Thanks for watching 🥰
L'ombre Dans l'eau I remember trying because found at dusk by miller Harris is compared with it. There are similarities. Tam dao I think I must have tried but I don't remember it, I will go try it again when my ankle is good again ☺️ and eau duelle is lovely! 🥰
@@dr.claire.perfume it was a very interesting scent, and I was surprised how popular it was for its unusualness. Bit like how Alien and Addict had that peculiar but addicitve auality
Chanel - Chance EDP Chloe - Nomade EDP Dior - Midnight Poison, sadly discontinued, therfore I pass on this brand Carolina Herrera - Good Girl Supreme, YSL - Libre OG probably, but I can pass on it, Guerlain - LPRN Black Perfecto Givenchy - Pass😅 Lancome - Tresor La Nuit JPG -Scandal OG 💔Mugler 💔 Womanity & Angel EDP
Tom Ford - This is a hard one . I'll go with Tobacco Vanille Marc Jacobs - pass Gucci - pass Kayali - Diamond Pink Pepper Hermes - I'd rather pass, maaaybe Terre D'Hermes as it is a unisex frag in my opinion.
I'd also choose nomade, ooh and I forgot about Chance! It's interesting isn't it that a lot of the ones we tend to like are older fragrances rather than the newer ones and that for some brands, literally nothing available excites us. I think that says a lot about these brands right now. Thanks for watching and playing along. 🥰
I love La petite robe noir intense! it would be. I thought it would be too sweet as well but I think it has a touch of sweetness. It’s a really lovely scent!8
I really need to find a bottle before it disappears. I feel like that line has been streamlined now, with the new releases replacing the older fragrances.m and then all being in the dark pink bottles now. Thanks for watching 🥰
I do love the smells of the Tom Ford perfume but I can’t use them because they’re too strong. I think I tried 3 or 4 Tom Ford perfume on 18th August and as I already suffer from chronic migraines they triggered me to have a migraine for over 1 week.
Yes they are really strong. Probably not good at all if you suffer migraines, they like to use quite piercing florals and persistent "darker" musks, the fragrances are also sometimes extremely sweet! It must be a minefield trying stuff for you.
@@dr.claire.perfume. My largest perfume collection is Dior with 12 perfumes all together, 4 sauvages, 3 Miss Diors, 1 addict eau de parfum, 1 addict eau de toilette, 2 eau sauvages, 1 J’adore roller pearl and 4 miniatures then I have 3 Givenchy perfumes from the l’interdit line, Gucci Bloom eau de parfum, 1 Armani si intense, 1 Kayali vanilla 28 and Maison Francis Kurkdjian Baccarat Rouge 540.
That's interesting that Dior is the biggest! Wow you have lots of Dior! I feel like I could buy more than one from the l'interdit line, I really like a few of them.
Hi claire this is interesting hope you can do some more from the other houses 🙂 I loove mademoiselle theres something in it that makes me feel classy everytime i wear it 💜 I always forgot my l'interdit thanks for mentioning this its beautiful i just dont know where or when to use it, this autumn i will pull it off. Havent tried a lot from christian dior but i really want to try from the prive line its on my wishlist. 💜
Hi Rin, yes I will probably do some more, this seemed to be a popular video format! Coco mademoiselle has eased me into Chanel, I don't think I appreciated their beauty at all before Coco mademoiselle... I really want to buy l'interdit rouge this autumn. I try it every single time I go in store 🤣 I hope you find somewhere with the Dior privee fragrances to sample, they can be pricey otherwise to sample. I think you would love the fruity florals like Jasmin des Anges ❤️ thanks for watching 🥰 hope you are well.
@@dr.claire.perfume, im good, i just came back from the philippines, for the first time since the pandemic 😌. Thanks for recommendation will try to find a sample of it ❤️
Thank you! I love a bit of fantasy shopping 🤣 I don't know, I see why the vanilla is popular and I know it's meant for layering but I rarely use it like that. I have other vanilla fragrances that I think I prefer. Thanks for watching 🥰
It's love or hate I think with that one, I'm hoping, as I get older, I will learnt to appreciate it, my tolerance of it has definitely gone up from when I was a teenager. Thanks for watching 🥰
Oh DIOR does make some great fragrances. When my mom's husband went to Paris he brought back a DIOR sampler box and the scents were SO good! I like Opium in my 20s but it is too much for me now. Though I may try the black version the packaging is GORGEOUS. Wow 5 Gurlein perfumes nice! Oooo the Black Perfecto sounds really good I am going to go smell it in Sephora I am going there later today. I do not have any fragrance from Gurlein or Givenchy. Whoah you have all the angels and aliens! I love Gucci Guilty I have two different versions. I never tried Perfect by MJ. Or JPG. The Kay Ali line sounds excellent. Loved this. 👍☺😍
I think the new version of black Perfecto is La Petite Robe Noire absolue. I retried Opium recently and it seems much quieter than I remembered it 😂 thanks for watching ❤️
Kayali Pink Pepper is one of my favorites by Kayali. It’s a must in my collection 💖💖 I really enjoyed hearing about your favorite fragrances from these houses. I also love Xerjoff and have quite a large collection of them ❤️
Yes! I think a lot of people seem to really appreciate Xerjoff, there are a few people with big collections of their fragrances. Pink pepper is a lovely one ☺️ thanks for watching ❤️
It will come as no surprise to anyone who has read my past comments that my favorite house is Guerlain. After that, I'd have to say Chanel. And I have several perfumes from Tiziana Terenzi, Histoires de Parfums, Hermes and Alghabra. Regarding Givenchy, I don't dislike the perfumes; I just don't seem to click with any of them except L'Interdit and Fleur L'Interdit. I'd be interested in trying all of the flankers out now. For YSL, I love the earlier perfumes (and his fashion), but am not too impressed with the current crop, although I have the Nuit Blanche and Intense Black Opium flankers. Saharienne is also interesting; named after one of his famous fashions -- the safari jacket. Dior -- I kind of hunt and peck through the fragrances. Miss Dior Cherie and Fève Délicieuse are favorites as well the original and Hypnotic Poison. I'd like to track down the Pure Poison/Elixir as well. Houses I don't really care for are Lancome (way too sweet for me), JPG, Marc Jacobs, Gucci (except for the Alchemist line), Kayali, Mancera/Montale, Burberry and Carolina Herrera.
Yes! I know you love Guerlain! I think Hermes really stand out as having quite a different house style from other designers, I guess because they don't currently belong to a conglomerate brand perhaps? It's strange, but I had never heard of Alghabra until a week ago and now three people have mentioned them. I have never tried any TT but when my ankle is better I know a store with them in so I will go sample some. I think a lot of designer houses have just got less daring and less interesting. There are a lot of very safe but quite boring fragrances out there. I think out of Chanel, Dior and YSL, Dior are my current favourite, but that's perhaps because I haven't tried YSL's more expensive fragrances. Thanks for watching 🥰
I'm just so surprised when I actually like perfumes from designer houses - I don't know why I struggle so much with the popular stuff! Maybe it's patchouli and strength that tends to throw me. JPG feminine perfumes don't work for me at all but the male ones are nicer somehow. My ex used to wear Le Male and that's a good one. I sniffed Le Beau last week and it's pretty.
I really don't enjoy a lot of what's about right now, I don't know what's happened over the last year or three, maybe I got more picky or maybe the new releases got less interesting. I'm not sure... Yes le beau is the only one I'd be fussed about from jpg right now. Thanks for watching 🥰
Hi Claire 🌹I thought about you when I saw a used bottle of Lola at a flea market in Istanbul 😊I remember it’s your signature fragrance and it’s discontinued. There were so many tables with used fragrances and for a fraction of the price of the full brand new bottle. I wished I could get a few but my suitcase is getting heavy 😂 Someone was selling a large size half full bottle of Olympea Intense for $15! There were also lots of tester bottles of designer fragrances like Dior Addict, etc. I’ve never seen anything like this in US, but then again I’ve never been to a flea market before. My SOTD is LPRN Intense, the blueberry one. It’s the only one I kept from my collection because it’s a travel size. I think you will like it because it’s not very sweet and it has a bit of a male cologne vibe, just a tad, enough to make it interesting. I miss Mon Guerlain 😢one day I’ll own it again.
Hi Yulia! Wow, I love flea markets, a good one is fascinating! I'd feel ok buying a partial bottle of something and they sound a good deal, but I'd be wary of the full testers, did you think they looked legit? I'd love a bottle of Addict at a good price. I see a lot of Addict on eBay (not testers, just full bottles) and I always wonder whether they are real, some are obviously not, others could be. Wow, what a coincidence, I still really want to try that one... Lprn intense just seem to be one I never buy, perhaps because someone told me they hated it and it made me wonder whether it would be nice for a bit, but the desire to try it is strong again 🤣 I bought Terracotta finally today, I totally forgot about that one, that was definitely one I could have picked for Guerlain too and yes Mon Guerlain is dreamy ☺️ Hope you are still having a good time. How long are you planning to travel for? Turkey has looked amazing 😍
Thank you! Yes, it's overwhelming isn't it, we really can't own everything we enjoy, I would end up with a house full 🤣 I think over the years I've become much pickier.
How many of these are discontinued and how many still available? I'm a bit lost with Guerlain, they seem to discontinue very loved fragrances seemingly at the drop of a hat.
@@dr.claire.perfume They are EXTREMELY expensive yes, thats why I dont own any 😅But they havnt discontinued any of those I mentioned.. But “Couquin” is discontinued… Cookie heaven😊
For Dior it used to be Midnight Poison, but now it would also be Pure Poison for me. And I loved Addict back in the day, but now I think it would be strong for me
I haven't, is it close? I tried Armaf club de nuit intense yesterday though and I was very impressed. It's linear for sure and less interesting but it really does smell like noir de noir. Have you tried that too? 🥰
@@dr.claire.perfume i have it in my collection, but i don’t like it. I think I have made a mistake, the tobacco edition smells like tobacco vanille TF 😱 , a very good dupe
Aah ok, I remember trying Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille in store and I was amazed that I didn't love it, I really expected to. Do you like the original fragrance?
Well Claire... I enjoyed this one. Hopefully mine isn't too similar. I only have one Givenchy too, not a house that leaps out at me. Gucci is a house I don't think I have anything from. The posh ones are wow, wow priced. But I will give them as far as designers go one of the most interesting still about. Mugler does not exist anymore, it died 🤣 That's all I'm saying Frank Obama is not Barak Obama despite the same name... Jpg never really grasped me wither sadly. Or MJ Do you know what house is missing, now I've watched this about 4/5 times 😅 but this could be embarrassing but NR... One of ur faves You do make these videos very interesting and fun
Thank you ❤️ Ooh yes I should have covered NR. Poudrée, I think it has to be, I do really love musc noir rose too but I didn't live with that one so who knows. I might do another video and cover some more brands. Maybe some posh ones? Or maybe I should just film a wishlist?! Gucci have had some distinctive ones, it's just now that they've got less interesting with the revamped Gucci Flora line. Givenchy has some gems but they are few and far between. Hermes does stand out as very different to me, and hearing they are not part of a conglomerate brand, that makes a lot of sense! Thanks for watching 🥰
@@dr.claire.perfume yes another one would be great. I know you do love the Poudre 😜. A great look at all these houses. I think my wishlist isn't all that big
Mine neither really. I feel like a niche or indie list would yield a bigger list, but I will have to be careful to choose brands that I've tried quite a few from...
Well I do buy a lot secondhand so with some, it's not all there to begin with. But yeah my empties have definitely slowed up with having a bigger collection now, but having said that, I did actually finish another yesterday. Usually it's the ones that don't last or the ones that I wear to bed, as I tend to run through those more quickly. I would like to get back to 100 or fewer again, I'm currently at about 116 and it feels like it's too much for me. I want to wear and enjoy everything and it's difficult when you have that many.
@@dr.claire.perfume it is definitely difficult to enjoy a large fragrance collection. I’m setting a goal to finish a few fragrances by the end of the year. I’m hoping I can do it!!!!
It was a lovely tag to do, thank you for tagging me, once I got started I thought oh I'll do a few more houses and then I thought oh I want to choose one from my collection and one that's available now... Yes I think it was a total rabbit hole 🤣
LOL I'm forever trying to get below 100 fragrances again, I don't want a huge collection. I want to be able to wear them all regularly 🤦♀️ I finished a few this summer but more seem to magically appear ✨
It’s not an easy task Claire! 🙌🏻 Guerlain, Dior, Chanel, Lancôme and Kayali are the brands I own the most from and I could never pick only one from these! 😅😂 It’s not obvious as Narciso Rodriguez where Musc Noir Rose is number one or Givenchy with the Rouge flanker. ❤️❤️ Sephora Canada is having a sale on Kayali, I think they are getting ride off many of them. I’m having FOMO on Invite Only… I bought it and returned it without really trying it out more than once… 🫤 Have a great weekend!
I agree, I found this really hard to choose and I've really not tried a huge range of Guerlain fragrances so I felt like I was choosing from very limited experience. I limited this to stuff that wasn't discontinued for what I would like to buy because that cut down the options massively! Givenchy l'interdit Rouge is mmm! Ooh that's interesting, I've long thought that citrus, elixir and musk might get discontinued. Maybe Sephora will just no longer carry them but they might still be available through the Kayali website? Invite only isn't a pretty girly one at all so I get the very split opinion on it. Thanks for watching 🥰
@@julieg_quebec-julesselivre8641 I don't know that for sure, I just have my suspicions. 🤣 But clearly musk 12 is being discontinued from the comment above... So sad 😢
Ooh, yes I might do another video and do some more brands eventually. Amouage would be between two I think 🤔 but I only tried 5 so I probably need to try more! Thanks for watching 🥰
I find I prefer flankers of lveb, better than the og. The new iris absolu is so pretty. I like intensement and solieil crystal as well. The idole aura has a delicious dry down. I didn't like the opening but it only takes a few minutes to turn beautiful.
I didn't try iris absolue, I remember trying soleil Cristal! I don't think I tried intensement either. Idôle I think I've tried all but the new now flanker. I will go retry Aura, I remember nectar was very sweet. Lancôme have some good ones 🥰
@@dr.claire.perfume I got a purse spray if the iris absolue. I want to do the same with the others! I did trade my Delina travel spray and extra viles with my daughter for lveb intensement, so I have that bottle now. Never wore Delina. So over pdm! Too fake and chemical. 💙
I know what you mean with pdm, I don't mind Meliora but that's about as far as it goes for me, I really disliked Valaya and Delina exclusif I got a dupe perfume oil for, which I didn't love and when I compared it to the one in store, I really didn't love that either. I really don't understand how that brand is so big other than through UA-cam hype. 🤷♀️
Yes, I think it was mainly Abi that made me try that one, she always said how she loved that one, even years ago when she first started making videos. ❤️
I love this and actually thought I was the only one that did not really like Chanel no. 5. I do love a fruit scented perfume like J’adore. Interesting story about Poison I loved that perfume so much when I was in my 20s. As a flight attendant I wore it all the time but after witnessing a coworker spraying it in her mouth 👄 a switch went off and I hated it after that! A little PTSD I do believe after that event it gives me an instant headache now! 😳 Great video as always Claire! 😘😘
😲 she sprayed Opium in her mouth 😲 that must have tasted like nail polish remover 🤣 wow, why would anyone do that? Yes I can see you not being into it after that 🤣 thanks for watching Denise, have a lovely Sunday 🥰
Yes I might do a part two. It was fun to film. I have been trying a huge load of Kilian fragrances, I tried kisses don't lie today 👌 mmm!
I support this moción:)
👍
Yes! Kilian, please!
Well done video. You must put so much work in these, with “pictures” and everything.
Really enjoy your contents!!! 🌸🙏
Yes 😂 it does take ages! Thank you ❤️
Chanel and Guerlain is what I lean towards the most, then Dior. While JPG and Roberto Cavalli are actually houses that never quite worked out for me. 🤷♀
I only ever tried Black Perfecto because of you (and my indominable urge to buy stuff) and with it got to enjoy the whole LPRN line, after not loving the original years ago I had missed out on beautiful flakers like Légère and Black Perfecto Florale.
The new dress on the packaging looks so much better imho, now I'm tempted by the EdT. And LPRN Intense is so different indeed, the patchouli surprised me.
Aah wow, that's interesting! I also haven't loved Roberto Cavalli from what I've tried and most of JPG also hasn't been for me, I think if I tried more Guerlain, it would just be a rabbit hole 😂
I'm happy that you enjoyed Black Perfecto 🖤
Thanks for watching 🥰

Loved this video, Claire! For some of these houses, it's so hard to pick a favorite. So sad that for Mugler you picked nothing, but I do agree 😭
Thank you ❤️ Yes, Mugler is a sad example of a brand that used to excite me that no longer does. Thanks for watching 🥰
@@dr.claire.perfume
Oh, poor feets!! Get well soon😊🦾
Well, THAT might be the case.

Yes you're right, it is rare. I've got a few with similarities to Midnight Poison but nothing is quite the same. 🙂
Mademoiselle is definitely that fragrance that makes you feel put together and confident,I really like coco but would love to test out more of the Chanel line
Jadore is one I don’t enjoy but smells amazing on my sister
Yes same Frances! J'adore I love on others, it smells really pretty, but it just doesn't suit me. I don't feel me wearing it. And yes! I've been trying lots of Chanel recently! It's taken me ages to appreciate them 🤦♀️
@@dr.claire.perfume when I was your age I didn’t appreciate Chanel either 🤷♀️so your taste will change as you get older
I think it is already. It's unrecognisable from my 20s. I'm sure it will change more though 🙂
I really like this format for a video! So fun!
Thank you 🥰 I might make another like this eventually with different brands. 😊
Was Found at dusk discontinued? I cannot find it anywhere online (in EU).
If you go on the Miller Harris website and type it in to search for it, it comes up, but otherwise it's discontinued elsewhere, they just have the stock that they have and when it's gone it's gone I think. They do come up secondhand on eBay occasionally too, at least in the UK. I hope that helps. 🥰
@@dr.claire.perfume thank you! I tried to search for it on their website but it seems that in EU it’s not available. :(
Oh that's a shame. I'm very sorry. 😥
Uau inspiração ☺️☺️☺️✅✅✅
Thank you! 🥰
Omg Tresor is my baby and I want it back in my collection ❤I permanently have it in my cart LOL
I didn't try the modern Trésor, I really want to smell it and see if it's changed! I had no idea what that slightly dusty smell in it was until I read that it used that musk and then I realised that was what I was smelling! It's so distinctive!
@@dr.claire.perfume when was it reformulate ?
Hi Claire, I would love to see a part 2 featuring fragrances from houses you haven't tried 🙂
Thank you for the suggestion 😊 I may indeed do a part two! ❤️
I like Prada house very much. I'd be interested in knowing what do you think about it.
@@dr.claire.perfume No, never tried it. I'll check if I can find it somewhere. Thank you for your suggestion.
I actually like the Utopia, Pink Pepper and Royal Sugared Patchouli (I’m terrible with remembering the names!)
I fell in love with Hermes 24 Faubourg surprisingly.. sampled because of Princess Diana.. and didn’t hate it!
Gucci Rush has certainly been reformulated, Gucci even changed the official notes listed! I mean that's pretty blatant!
Kayali have gone a bit crazy recently, I've completely lost track with their releases. I think they might do better to release fewer fragrances per year.
I've been curious to try 24 Faubourg and have almost bought some partial bottles a few times now. I was going to make a video about fragrances royals are said to have worn but I really disliked white rose from Floris (that QEII wore for her wedding) so that kinda put me off that whole idea 🤣
I need to get Pure Poison, it's on the list!
The partials for the Hermes were cheaper than a sample ironically 🤣 if I see one again at that price, I will try it!
@@justjulia8007 I'm in the UK... And fakes are THE worst 🥰
KAYALI vanilla is gorgeous and the only one I would like to own ,I enjoyed the citrus one and flew through a tiny bottle that Lala sent me
Ohh Hermes 🥹haven’t tried any of those ! Powdery leather sounds gorgeous
Love and hugs ❤
Hermes are weirdly hard to find here, not many places stock them. I suspect it's because Hermes are not part of a bigger conglomerate brand and so have a poorer distribution network?
Kayali have some great fragrances, the vanilla is addictive 🥰
Uff, this would be mostly a difficult task for me to sit and choose one over the other 😅
I really wish i was able to smell Angel from 2005 that Ropion worked on and not the re formulation.
They older bottles come up secondhand occasionally, look for ones with the fat atomiser tubes and Thierry Mugler written down the side, although from the perfumer and the date, maybe you mean Alien not Angel?
There is a new flanker of L'Interdit Rouge called 'L'Interdit Rouge Ultime' ☺
Yes! I noticed it a day after recording this 🤦♀️ did you try it yet? Is it good? 🥰
@dr.claire.perfume I haven't, unfortunately. I was considering buying the original, but I am keen on trying the new one now! 😅
Me too! I want to try it to make sure, but I think I will get Rouge.

Thanks for watching 🥰
I was really impressed by it ☺️
Do you have velvet orchid Lumiere by any chance? Is it worth looking for?
Hi Claire! 💖 Oh gosh, it would be so hard to choose! 🥴

You have some good ones ☺️ very lucky to have alien essence absolue. That one is in huge demand and will sell for a great price if you don't decide to keep it, but it's a stunner!
I have my dupe oil so no worries, not quite the same but it's gets there after a few hours 🤣
Storage is something people don't think about until they have something go off.

I really want to get my nose on Le Beau, ever since Veronica has been raving about it. And I wouldn't mind trying the Le Parfum as well.
11:37 It hasn’t been reformulated under the BP name, but it has been replaced by the new LPRN Absolue
Yeey new video! Off topic but what foundation do you wear? 🤓😍
The choices are so vast. I am not a Mugler girl that's for sure.
It was really hard to choose in some cases, and I'm pretty sure I forgot a few, especially for Guerlain. The choice is overwhelming for some brands! 🥰
I just purchased the la petite robe noire intense. I got it from Fragrance canada and it is fabulous
Aah that's good to know! I've always wanted to try that! I do love Terracotta though and actually I completely forgot about it for this video 🤣 I'd probably get that too!
Have you tried Hypnose? It is good and yes jasmins marzipan is nice
Yes! I tried it before it disappeared from stores here and I've been on the lookout for a secondhand bottle. I really like that one actually, but I can only find it on the lancôme website so I assumed it was discontinued and they were selling the remaining stock.
Hi Claire. How many sprays do you use a day on average? Are you an over sprayer?
I think it depends... If I'm at home or I have fragrance with me, I will reapply. When I get home from work, I often reapply or put something different on. I also wear fragrance to bed. I don't think I overspray really. It depends on what occasion it is and my mood. If I want to be noticed, I spray more. This morning I sprayed 6 times I think. But yes, it will be more when get home and more when I go to bed. Thanks for watching 🥰
Thanks @@dr.claire.perfume. Just a couple of other questions. Do you spray your clothes? If so, before or after you put them on and where?
I don't spray on clothes in general as I worry about staining. I have quite often applied fragrance and even with spraying on skin, ended up having to change my top as fragrance got onto it and stained it...

@@dr.claire.perfume. I have 3 of the l’interdit line.
Hi claire this is interesting hope you can do some more from the other houses 🙂
I loove mademoiselle theres something in it that makes me feel classy everytime i wear it 💜
I always forgot my l'interdit thanks for mentioning this its beautiful i just dont know where or when to use it, this autumn i will pull it off.
I try it every single time I go in store 🤣
I hope you find somewhere with the Dior privee fragrances to sample, they can be pricey otherwise to sample. I think you would love the fruity florals like Jasmin des Anges ❤️ thanks for watching 🥰 hope you are well.
@@dr.claire.perfume, im good, i just came back from the philippines, for the first time since the pandemic 😌.
Thanks for recommendation will try to find a sample of it ❤️
Wow that's a long time to go! I hope you enjoyed it. 🥰
Kay Ali! Surprised Vanilla 28 isn't a favourite from the bunch. Seem to be everyone's favourite.
Loved the video concept ❤
Thank you! I love a bit of fantasy shopping 🤣 I don't know, I see why the vanilla is popular and I know it's meant for layering but I rarely use it like that. I have other vanilla fragrances that I think I prefer. Thanks for watching 🥰
I really enjoyed this video! Can't disagree with Nr. 5 by Chanel...I had an acquaintance that openly disliked this one 😁
@@dr.claire.perfume I take that back. My Xerjoff collection is quite small 🤣🤣 Watching Neesha’s collection video and she’s got them all ❤️❤️
Haha 😂 I just had someone else tell me they have about 8 so yes there's a lot of love out there. 🥰
Lprn intense just seem to be one I never buy, perhaps because someone told me they hated it and it made me wonder whether it would be nice for a bit, but the desire to try it is strong again 🤣 I bought Terracotta finally today, I totally forgot about that one, that was definitely one I could have picked for Guerlain too and yes Mon Guerlain is dreamy ☺️
Hope you are still having a good time. How long are you planning to travel for? Turkey has looked amazing 😍
Really enjoyed this - such a fun idea for a video! xx
Thanks Maddie ❤️ you could maybe do some posts along the same lines 😊
@@dr.claire.perfume Great idea! I shall! xx
👍
Good morning darling I just woke up and grabbed my coffee ☕️ so I can enjoy your video cuddling up in bed
Hey Frances! Good morning 🌞
I love this idea! I’d love to smell new Gucci fragrance they launched recently, but my favorite is still Flora Gardenia😻
Thank you! ❤️ oh you mean the new Gucci guilty elixir de parfum? I didn't try it yet either. Thanks for watching 🥰
Happy to see so many that I love as well being mentioned here. Amazing video ❤❤
Thank you! Yes, it's overwhelming isn't it, we really can't own everything we enjoy, I would end up with a house full 🤣 I think over the years I've become much pickier.
@@dr.claire.perfume agree with you and yes, we start to be more selective over the year and tend to stay with those that we really enjoy
For sure 👍
I LOVE Guerlain!! But mostly the exclusive line, Angelique Noir, Cuir Beluga and the famous Vanilla, I cant remember the name of suddenly😅
Spirtueuese double vanille? I didn't try the pricey ones... I am kinda scared too! 😂 I am pretty sure I'd love them. 🥰
The best one is gourmand coquin is a masterpiece
How many of these are discontinued and how many still available? I'm a bit lost with Guerlain, they seem to discontinue very loved fragrances seemingly at the drop of a hat.
@@dr.claire.perfume
They are EXTREMELY expensive yes, thats why I dont own any 😅But they havnt discontinued any of those I mentioned.. But “Couquin” is discontinued… Cookie heaven😊
Mmm that one sounds gorgeous 🥰
For Dior it used to be Midnight Poison, but now it would also be Pure Poison for me. And I loved Addict back in the day, but now I think it would be strong for me
Pure poison gets overlooked I think, it needs more love. ❤️
Hello Claire. Have you tried Noir de Noir dupe from Al haramein Tobacco edition?
@@dr.claire.perfume not so much , too spicy
It wasn't one for me either.
Or MJ
Do you know what house is missing, now I've watched this about 4/5 times 😅 but this could be embarrassing but NR... One of ur faves
You do make these videos very interesting and fun
@@dr.claire.perfume I will have to get u to sniff many from certain houses 😉
Haha yes, I'm sure you will.
Seeing all of your empty bottles truly amazes me
Well I do buy a lot secondhand so with some, it's not all there to begin with.
I'm sure you will manage it. ☺️
a very thorough list 👏 i'm glad you participated 😊
It was a lovely tag to do, thank you for tagging me, once I got started I thought oh I'll do a few more houses and then I thought oh I want to choose one from my collection and one that's available now... Yes I think it was a total rabbit hole 🤣
@@dr.claire.perfumehaha i noticed that, but that's great, i love a good rabbit hole 😊 you have such a big collection and therefor so much experience
LOL I'm forever trying to get below 100 fragrances again, I don't want a huge collection. I want to be able to wear them all regularly 🤦♀️ I finished a few this summer but more seem to magically appear ✨
Ah, the original version of Black Orchid. 🖤💖
It's stunning isn't it 😍 the trail 😍
@@dr.claire.perfume oh, yes. I miss that formulation.
I wondered whether I was imagining that it smelt different, but when I tried it in store, I was shocked.
@@dr.claire.perfume That’s so sad.
I need to go back and see whether I imagined it, stuff sometimes smells very different in store.
I know that Musk 12 and the citrus is being discontinued. I emailed them around Christmas and was told that. About Musk 12
@@dr.claire.perfume I’m sad about Elixir going out, it’s in my top 3! I’m not s back up girl but I’m thinking about it!
@@julieg_quebec-julesselivre8641 I don't know that for sure, I just have my suspicions. 🤣
But clearly musk 12 is being discontinued from the comment above... So sad 😢
@@BLARG09 thanks for the info 🥰
I wish you would have also commented on Amouage :) very enjoyable, Claire! Thank you.
Ooh, yes I might do another video and do some more brands eventually. Amouage would be between two I think 🤔 but I only tried 5 so I probably need to try more! Thanks for watching 🥰

Hi Claire. This is fun. I love your eyeshadow today. 👀
I find I prefer flankers of lveb, better than the og. The new iris absolu is so pretty. I like intensement and solieil crystal as well. The idole aura has a delicious dry down. I didn't like the opening but it only takes a few minutes to turn beautiful.
Thank you ❤️
I didn't try iris absolue, I remember trying soleil Cristal!
Ohh I adore YSL CINEMA Abi send me a decant and I fell in love
Yes, I think it was mainly Abi that made me try that one, she always said how she loved that one, even years ago when she first started making videos. ❤️

Good to know! If I ever declutter it, it's coming your way. 🥰
