Love the historical perspective! Opium (1977) was what I wore when first married. That fragrance lives on in my mind and there has never been anything else like it IMO
I smelt Opium last year after not trying it for ages and I was surprised to like it as much as I did! The drydown was really lovely! I remember when I was younger that I didn't enjoy it 🤷♀️ I guess my taste has moved on! I agree it's very striking, you know when it's Opium. Thanks for watching 🥰
This was a wonderful jog back to the good old days with the nod to pop culture moments. I’m not one to follow a trail of perfume to track down the wearer to ask what they’re wearing, but this perfume literally gave me such a high I walked through a crowded streetcar in Toronto, found the woman wearing it and asked her for the name of it because I wanted to buy it. She didn’t seem to want to tell me but she eventually, and reluctantly, said it was Gucci Rush. This was the year 2000 and that formulation was a beast. I own present day Gucci Rush and it’s much more tame but still that fantastic electronic, plastic peach and florals I still love today.
I can understand you being taken by Gucci Rush! It's so distinctive and yes, it was strong! My bottle was a vintage one from 2006 and that was potent 😂 the modern one is more gentle for sure. I love how off beat the bottle is too. It just makes you curious and want to try it! 🥰
@@dr.claire.perfume the bottle is indeed unique and curious 😅. The scent itself is one of my favourites. Funny how there are niche brands creating iterations of Rush and charging 3 to 5 times the price of the OG.
Yes, it's very evocative of that time period. My friend wears J'adore at work and she smells amazing! Another friend wears J'adore l'or and she smells fab too 🙂
Oh my, I can remember like it was yesterday. Post-communist Romania, 1990, I was coming home from school. My parents always gave me money, because I had to walk through the center of the town and I was reliable😂. There was always a possibility to find some western goods we never had access to before. That particular day, I saw a line in front of a pharmacy and after two hours or so of waiting, I left the pharmacy with four bodysprays Impulse Incognito. My first "fragrance". I could't stomach the scent even back then, but I was sooo proud of owning such a treasure. 😂 Thank you, Claire, for another great video and for the nostalgia❤❤
Wow!!! That is such a story! My friends at work say similar things about post-communist Poland. The chance of spotting something was always there and you had to be ready! I never had Incognito, what was it like? What didn't you enjoy about it? I did have Vanilla Kisses, O2 and Zen though. I think O2 was my favourite and they have just brought it back... I'm too scared to retry it 🤣 Impulse bodysprays are classics! Thanks for watching ❤️ have a fab weekend 🥰
@@dr.claire.perfume To be honest, I don't even remember the smell, only the feeling, a hole-in-the-stomach-feeling.😁 Not pain, just like a hole is growing în your stomach. Today I still have that sensation with a lot of aquatic/ozonic fragrances, when they are loaded with calone, especially the typical melony Givaudan-calone. I can a bit better with the Firmenich-calone, which is more watery-floral to my nose. Have a great weekend too!🥰
@@ioanas4839 hmmm! Maybe this is why I can tolerate certain aquatics and others not? I know if it's calypsone or calone it's a no, but there are other things that are not for sure one or the other and those can be tolerable or no no no for me 😂
I don't know if this makes any sense, I'm a lawyer, not a chemist after all, but here is my delulu😂: Calone as a molecule was discovered by Pfizer back in the 60's. I'm not sure how Firmenich was able to trade-name their molecule under the same name, Calone ( wih the newer version Cascalone). Maybe they bought the rights from Pfizer? So the other companies, Givaudan, IFF, Mane etc. won't use the name calone for their watery ketones. They might have different trade-names, or they just list generic water notes or melon as a note ( like in J Adore). My nose is so bothered by calone, that I pick it up, even if it’ s not listed. So when I smell it in a perfume, I always check the perfumer and the company he/she is working with/for. That is how I came to the conclusion that I dislike the Givaudan-ketones most.
Yes! I remember reading about Calone's history when I made the clone video and deciding I was very confused about the naming too! Calone is so distinctive and yes I totally get the sinking feeling in my stomach when I smell it. It really is one of the few things that makes me nauseous with fragrance 🤢
I remember my mum went to buy me Pleasures for my birthday once and came back with Beyond Paradise instead, so I've never had a bottle, but I've smelt it many times 😊 Sad the Be Delicious Night was discontinued too. Thanks for watching 🥰
Here in California mid 90s was all about anything Calvin Klein, late 90s tommy girl and green tea. Early 2000s was Ralph Lauren and be delicious! Then came original juicy couture and viva la juicy. Viva la juicy DNA carried on into the 2010s along with flowerbomb, coco mademoiselle and black opium !Now the popular DNA is Burberry her and cloud !
That's weird! I almost put in viva la juicy gold couture because that came out in 2014 and fitted in with the years that I spoke about 🙂 but here that took a while to get popular, I think as a result of Jeremy fragrance and UA-cam hype really around 2020. I had a bottle of Tommy Girl, but mine got stolen 🤦♀️ long story... I can imagine Calvin Klein and DKNY fragrances fitting the Californian climate well! Thanks for watching 🥰
My first perfume was Romance by Ralph Lauren, released in 1989. I remember smelling a sample and becoming transfixed by how wonderful and enchanting it smelled to me. So feminine, clean and romantic! I got a bottle a couple of years later, finding one on a lower dusty shelf of a perfumery. A couple of decades later I still have a reserve bottle from a trip to US that I’m saving as it’s no longer being sold where I live.
I had a vintage bottle of Romance, it was stunning! The oakmoss was so lovely, not heavy at all, and the rose really clean and sparkly! I can see why you love it 🥰
It's stunning isn't it?! I wondered actually, do you smell much difference in the reformulations? The original is said to be more orange blossom and the new one more jasmine, do you agree with that? 🥰
@@dr.claire.perfume yes i prefered it before, i think the opening isnt as good but its still beautiful in the drydown and the ”smokiness”/musk is still there. I saw a review just now that said Bucheron Jaipur Bracelet is very similar to the old version of PP so i blind bought it🙈 will be interesting😊
Love the trip down memory lane with fragrance and associating what was going on with film, music, and politics. Such a great video! The only release I had from 1994 was Sun Moon Stars.
What an enjoyable series, thank you Claire, they're always great fun. I think of 1999 with great fondness because IFRA was still a decade away from restricting fragrance materials which meant that classic chypre scents for example were still available in their full glory.
Yes, it's all a bit sad that so many loved ones have been reformulated. I know some companies have used oakmoss extracts with the offending compound removed but I think a lot of scents were just discontinued or reformulated with a greatly reduced % of oakmoss. It must be very annoying if something you loved has been changed. Have a lovely weekend 🥰
I love these videos! So funny looking down memory lane and an interesting way to frame the context. Have been restocking some of my old favourite's from the 90s and early 2000 lately. Making peace with the fact they are now classified as vintage and feeling old.😲 I just got Ultraviolet from 1999 this week and it's still so good! 1995 to 2005 was a golden era of innovative designer fragrances (in my opinion). Here you are listing half my favourites! Also just restocked up on Cinema, Crystal Noir and Allure which I still love. I'm 38 now, these are the scents of my carefree highschool/uni days and 20s.So glad most of these are still being made. From New Zealand to Yorkshire we are connected by the nostalgic memories of the scents of our youthful nights out. The smell of second hand smoke, minty gum and CK1 😀 Only just got Terracotta thanks to Veronica Says and it's gorgeous and perfect for Sydney weather. Thank you! Thoroughly enjoyed this!
Thank you ❤️ yes there are lots of absolute classics here! I agree that period around the millennium was very innovative and brands were less afraid to take a chance on a new fragrance. ☺️ Terracotta is a stunner! I absolutely love it ☺️ thanks for watching 🥰
My mum's signature is Rive Gauche, I just bought her a new bottle for Christmas! I need to try Dune, it's always intrigued me and people say the reformulation is not a bad one 🥰
I remember Gucci Rush....didn't know much about fragrance compositions then but i definitely got the plastic-like scent. Loved the packaging at the time. Be Delicious was also my fragrance for a while and i found it very upbeat. Cinema is one of my best ever Vanillas. I need to buy a back up bottle. This video brought back so many memories.
Gucci Rush is an interesting one! It was very different in every way. I really enjoyed my little vintage partial bottle of Cinema. I'd not tried it before I bought it 🙊but I found it very cosy and wearable, thanks for watching 🥰
Only a few minutes in and this video is already incredible! I predict a resurgence of chypres in 50 years. People are going to walk into the lobby of an elder care facility one day and say “Ew-why do all these grannies want to smell like poundcake and sweets?” 😂
May your prediction come true! I’d say that it is happening already. Many niche brands are recycling classic scent profiles these days and then you see the same reviewer who found Opium to be an outdated “granny” scent, praise a new “avant-garde” niche creation that is nothing but Opium in a fancy bottle.
Love it! What a trip down memory lane. These years all really stand out to me as being significant years in my life and your fragrance/ historic / pop-culture references really helped take me back to those times. Crazy how many of these fragrances are gone now. I really appreciate your videos. Thanks for the excellent content. I’ve never been into what is popular but I do remember what I was wearing in the early 2000s when I first got into fragrance. Stella, Armani Sensi, YSL Elle, Infusion D’Iris and SJP Lovely. This is what I smelled like back then. I only added YSL Cinema to my collection last year. Beautiful and the closest thing I’ve found to my beloved discontinued Armani Sensi.
Thank you! ❤️ It's lovely that you enjoyed it. Elle was lovely and I finished a bottle of infusion d'iris and Lovely 😊 I haven't tried Sensi 🤔 I really enjoyed my fluffy benzoin-vanilla cloud of Cinema, I found it very snuggly. Have a fab weekend 🥰
Yes Armani Sensi!!! Oh I'm so happy to have seen your comment. I have been trying to remember the name of this fragrance for some time now and Claire's video helped put my head back a couple decades then I saw your comment and BAM I remembered it! You've helped me scratch a memory itch that I've had for years now, thank you ✌️🌷
@@dr.claire.perfume Yes I remember getting it right before I graduated HS which was in 04. I was so excited to have an Armani fragrance lol. My mom used to get me great fragrances and this was one of them. I remember I didn't use it often at all because I was born and raised in fort Lauderdale Florida so it's always summer there. But in 2006 I moved to Chicago and I still had about 75% of that bottle left, it became a completely different fragrance once I was in colder climate. Once I realized how it performed in the fall and winter in Chicago I wore it everyday pretty much. For the first 2 years I lived in Chicago I wore Sensi and Amore Amore by Cacharel. Looking back I'm actually so happy that I hung on to them because they were very much too heavy for South Florida, except evenings in the winter months. Still to this day I love Amore Amore and it wouldn't be Christmas without it. Thx for your content it's top notch and genuinely entertaining. You have made fragrance content fun which is no small feat I can assure you. ✌️🫶🌷🥂
My half brother lived in Fort Lauderdale in the early nineties and I remember visiting in late November, I was astounded that we were eating outside and going to the beach 🤣 no way I'd want to do that in the UK... I can see heavier or very sweet fragrances being a struggle in those conditions! And wow, thank you! That is such a compliment! 🥰
Hi Claire! What a fun video. I like so many of these fragrances. Each one takes me to a different time in my life (I might have discovered a few a bit later) but they also all feel very timeless. I’m a Millennial so I was still a kid in the 90s. I love 80s and 90s fragrances. Fragrances that really take me back to the 90s (because my mum wore them) are Dior Dune, Krazy Krizia, Cerruti 1881 and of course… Poison. My favourite late 90s fragrances that I didn’t discover until the mid-2000s are Organza, Hypnotic Poison, and Gucci Rush. I love Gucci Rush, it’s such an interesting scent. Oud Bouquet takes me back to 2018…. That’s when I got my first decant. I bought a bottle in 2020. Honestly, I don’t think I enjoy it anymore. It’s just so incredibly heavy that I hardly ever (well, never) reach for it. I love that you included important events from popular culture, politics, and history. Gucci Memoir is such an odd scent; I tried it but didn’t understand the scent at all. Just a super odd one to my nose.
Yes you are very down with the vintage and the classics! I really love hearing about them on your channel. The details are really interesting and make those fragrances even more special when you sniff them! Oud bouquet is also too much for me 😂 it's just a lot isn't it? Lovely on the right person though! Memoire is a real head scratcher. I don't know who thought that crazily plasticky bitter almond was a goer in the opening... The drydown is better, but yes, it's weird 🙃 the advertising was also strange... I can't remember who they picked to advertise it now but I remembered thinking what an odd choice it was 🤣 thanks for watching 🥰
Wow thank you for this video Claire! It’s wonderful taking a trip down memory lane , felt very nostalgic 🥰 I still remember buying Ricci Ricci and thinking what a unique n pretty scent it is! I was in my undergrad med school days n having a lotta fun in college! Took me right back there! Cheers! 😃
No worries! Oh Ricci Ricci is a classic now! It's a nice one in the cold 🙂 happy that you enjoyed the nostalgia 😊 thanks for watching and have a lovely weekend 🥰
Your videos get more and more interesting claire. Don't know where you find the time to research so much information for for your videos. This one has been such a nostalgic walk down memory lane, forgotten so many iconic nuggets of history in past years. Let's forget that Tony Blair gets a mention, we won't let that taint this video 😅 Good or bad. . It's all part of uk shaping and history. Lovely this look back. Thank you
Thanks Lizzie! Well he was everywhere wasn't he?!!! That dynamic with Brown was super interesting... I think it's really interesting how the mood of the times to some extent seems to influence perfume releases and how they are packaged and marketed! Have a lovely weekend 🥰
I remember all these perfumes, I owned most of them and I remember very well all these historical events, I also remember, what touched me the most were Lush products, at that time they were called Cosmetics To Go, I remember that their products made me happy as I went through a very difficult period of my life, and yet, Lush products still make me happy, their ingredients💎, the concept behind the company and their creations❤️ the amazing fragrances, I feel very nostalgic in a positive way with Lush and with Chanel too. Amazing video as always !♥️
Yes! Lush are a very happy feeling brand are they? And their scents are uplifting and joyous! They have a nice ethos to go along with that also. I didn't realise that they were called cosmetics to go! I think looking back at these last 30 years made me feel a bit old 😂 but it is lovely to see which fragrances were released and remember them and what I was doing at the time. Have a fab week and thanks for watching ❤️
It does and it doesn't 😂 I'm sure if I were dropped in 1994 I'd be shocked 😂 but it doesn't seem 30 years ago. CK one was a huge seller! Anaïs Anaïs is a lovely choice. 😊
Ohhh this brought me back to the time I nearly stalked a woman at a local grocery because she smelled absolutely amazing! I finally worked up the courage to ask her what she was wearing; Armani Code. A love was born that day back in 2008 (think it came out earlier but living in Midwest US everything is behind) and I wore it and Gucci Rush non stop. Until… the DREADED reformulations. UGGGG! Code is now a whisper of the beauty it once was and Rush I just sniff for nostalgia, but can’t wear. Love the history & timeline of current events, very nostalgic!
Yes!!! I used to love Armani Code too! I retried it recently and I was massively underwhelmed, so that makes a lot of sense! 🤦♀️ Rush was a beast and very distinctive! Have a fab weekend! 🥰
Hello Claire, lovely video, thank you. There was another model who was the image of Dior j'Adore before Charlize Theron, her name is Carmen Kass. A fragrance dear to my heart is the one I was wearing in 2004: "eau des merveilles"by Hermès. I was singing in one of the few gospel choirs of my french town at the time ... very good memories ☺!
Ooh yes! You are right! I think she modelled for a few houses actually! I know she was in the Narciso Rodriguez adverts for sure. Eau de merveilles is lovely 😍 I have the ombre de merveilles flanker. That line has stood the test of time. 😊 Thanks for watching 🥰
5:08 😮ck one was the first perfume i was into. I think i was 12 or 13. Everyone at school boy or girl was obsessed with it! It was THE cool girl/boy fragrance at the time, i was living in malaysia and my sister bought it for me from the US, where she was studying at the time. How tine flies!
When I think of all the new releases dropping each day I can’t imagine how looking back on these years is going to look! Thank you for the walk down memory lane, you really go above and beyond ❤️🤗
Yes, I agree, if you visit parfumo, you can see the number of fragrances released per year and the number is just going up and up. There are stats out there saying that 80% of fragrances are discontinued within 6 months... If that's true, that's insane! I guess it's a super competitive market and also fragrance has morphed into a type of fast fashion. I do think there are still big ones that really will mark out the 2020s though, they are just perhaps rarer. 🥰
D&G Lemperitise was one I didn’t care for at all I love hearing what we were doing in these times that went with these fragrances we were wearing Still love my Terracoto so so much ,can’t believe I flew through the first bottle of that one
Terracotta is gorgeous! Makes me think I'm cruising in the med on my luxury yacht 😉 l'imperatrice I have to be in the mood for, sometimes I makes my teeth feel squeaky almost 🤷♀️ I cant explain it!!! I think it's the tart fruits 😂
Haha me too! 2019 was the time 😂 oh yes! Pure Musc! Narciso Rodriguez have had some fab ones. I'm not so sure about All of Me but the other lines are a yes from me 😊
Ahhhh loved Tendre Poison. Such a special fragrance. xx I also remember when the original Opium was released in the late 70's and all the controversy it created. It was even banned in some Countries because of its name.
Soooo many good perfumes came out in the late 90s and early 2000s. I really did assume that Eden was an 80s beast though! My school smelt like CK One for a while. I miss the perfumes but not the heroin-chic models and I curse the day that Fruitchouli’s took over lol…. That’s when I stopped testing perfumes! It’s like I skipped 10 years while sweet patch perfumes dominated. I was glad for Jo Malone becoming so popular with fruity skin scents (I just checked out this time line and had no idea how long Jo Malone had been around, I feel like I didn't hear about the brand until after Jo sold it?!). I have (or had!) quite a few of the 90s / 2000s perfumes now 🥰
Yeah me too with Eden, it just doesn't smell 90s does it?! Same with Jo Malone, I don't think I noticed them until maybe 2012?! It really must have been quite late on and I don't think I actually tried one until 2019 which is mad! Thanks for watching 🥰
@@dr.claire.perfume I guess selling to a big company allows for good marketing…. Her shop must have been super niche beforehand as even living in London I didn’t see JM until well after the flowerbomb years - I still feel like Jo Malone helped to bring delicate perfumes back into fashion but I bet she had some fans from her early years that got there waaaaay before the rest of us 😂
@@skinscentsforfusspots I haven't tried too many actually. I find a few that I've tried aren't me, like myrrh and tonka and English pear and freesia. I do like pomegranate noir and mimosa and cardamom though. I probably need to try some more to find something more me. ☺️
I bought Cinéma when it was released, and I have maybe 2ml left in the bottle still. I bought it during my Erasmus exchange year in France and all my memories from that time are connected to this perfume.
This was great to watch! Although, some of your movies across the pond weren't very popular in the United States. Some oldies that I look back at fondly: 1. Estee Lauder's Pleasures 2. Issey Miyake's L'Eau d'Issey 3. Dior's Dune 4. Le Labo's Santal 33 (shaved pencils or woodsy!) 5. Chanel's Chance Eau Tendre 6. Maison Francis Kurkdjian's Baccarat Rouge 7. Diptyque's Eau Rose. There are others but these are the most popular over the years in my opinion.
Thank you! Maybe when I hit particular years these fragrances will come up! I tend to focus on 5 year increments and much more on designer than niche with these videos (I've done two so far and I will do another next year when I can look back another 5 years) as the general public are probably more likely to buy those fragrances. But yes there have been some big niche hits too! Thanks for watching 🥰
Hi Claire. Thank you for reminding me what went on during the 90's. I had my son in 1994 and my daughter in 1997 so that decade was a bit of a blur! I remember the fragrances you mentioned but wasn't a fragrance freak like I am now. I had one bottle at a time then! 😂 Have a lovely bank holiday weekend 💖
I think I was only vaguely aware too, I don't think the world of fragrance existed for my mum outside of Rive Gauche and Chanel no. 5 EDT! I do very vividly remember those CK one adverts though and sniffing the fragrance from magazine flaps 😂 I also had one bottle at a time... How things change... 😂 You too! 🥰
So many memories. I just love this whole concept - especially how you put the years in context for us with the music/movies/politics of the day. You're simply the best. If I didn't know you well, I would say, "check your math" because there's no WAY that 1994 was 30 years ago! The Crystal Noir is a love/hate for sure, but for me it's BOTH. I still haven't figured it out. My beloved Orchidée Vanille! 2009 seems like yesterday! Boy Toy = chemical weapo - AGREE! I LOVE that you ended with your fragrance of the day. I'm always so curious what people are wearing as they film. I have the Coconut Fizz, and although I dislike coconut for the most part, I really like that one. Top notch scentertainment and scentucation, Claire. Thank you for the hard work you put in.
Thank you ❤️ I know! 1994 doesn't seem too far back does it? Crystal noir I actually plan wearing because it's essentially eternal and very strong 😂 Toyboy I have a strange curiosity about, I don't want to wear it, but I can't stop sniffing it 😂 I was definitely in a Coconut Fizz kinda mood when I filmed this... I find that one very relaxing somehow. Have a lovely Friday Julija 😘
I love these videos. Give me the history with fragrance! Yes! Yes these bring back memories. 1994 was my first grown up fragrance ever- CK One. I was only in 6th grade but I HAD to have it. The Ads were some of the first I paid attention to. Thank goodness my mother let me buy it and wear it, though it wasn’t as enjoyable on as it was on others. J’Adore in ‘99- I was right there with it. I almost got Versace Crystal Noir later in 2006 or 2007. I apparently was not tracking fragrance trends again until more recently. Thank you for this one. Lovely memories.
Thank you ❤️ yes the ads were so distinctive! I think it was the black and white amongst colour. They were very striking. Again J'adore had a great marketing campaign, whereas Versace crystal noir much less so so it probably took a bit of time to become aware of that one. ☺️ Thanks for watching 🥰
Hi Claire, this is a fun video. Gucci Envy was my first and only perfume, and I imprinted on it and began a love of galbanum. After returning to perfumes this year, I still love green fragrance. And I'd love to try Rush, but the resale prices are a bit rich.Btw, I met Patrick Swayze, and he was a friendly, charismatic guy. I really liked him. Have a great week Claire 🌿
Gucci Envy is absolutely stunning! It's a shame it's gone and so hard to find. Rush I appreciate and actually did enjoy wearing despite it being a peach fragrance, which I think says a lot! Patrick Swayze always seemed a nice person but I guess you don't know until you meet people. I'm happy my imagination proved true! How did you meet him?! Have a lovely week. 🥰
This is so fun! I love the review of pop culture and historical events too. Gucci Rush was one of my favorites and before I understood notes or even what I was smelling exactly. It’s funny (odd not haha) to think I still gravitate to frutchouli fragrances. My tastes have expanded & matured but not really changed at all. There was (or maybe still is) an influencer from Amsterdam that I watched on YT and through her I discovered L’Imperatrice. I wish I could remember her channel name. One of the first youtube perfume reviewers I found and liked. Anyway, so nostalgic!! ❤
Gucci Rush definitely stood out didn't it?! It was very striking! And same, I still love patchouli based fragrances, I guess I've been conditioned by my surroundings. Hmm, I wonder who that was with l'imperatrice?! I remember I used to go into a department store near me just after the were released and I'd spray the entire range, I really loved them, they were really different. I don't think l'imperatrice stood out to me as my favourite though. It's sad that the rest are gone. That department store is also gone... Thanks for watching 🥰
Loving this walk down memory lane! 😁 Interesting to see the progression of fragrances over the years as well. I wasn't always into perfumes so it was new to me to see when certain ones came out. As far as what I actually did wear way back when, I actually was more of a CK Be girl than CK One. 🖤
It's weird, because when I look back, I only really every had one or two at a time, never more, now look 😂 I remember really liking the smell of CK one on my cousins in the mid nineties, but they were a bit older than me. The CK scents were huge weren't they?!
I remember wearing cacharel eden at my older sister's wedding in 2004, i also thought tocade was from 80's 😄, Happy by pharell williams and all about the base i always listen to it that time when i was still working at the dentist clinic 🙂 i cant believe that was 10 years ago already, seems like yesterday, thank you for bringing so much memories ❤️
Did you see Fragrantica has an article on Eden today because of it being 30 years old? Yes those two songs were everywhere weren't they! They definitely take me back too! Hope you are well 🥰
awww...the good old times and fragrances...you took me back to my childhood with this video . Great history and amazing scents that stood the test of time . Great video and thanks for sharing it with us🤗🤗🤗
Well now I officially feel old 🤦♀️ time certainly flies! Wow I remember by the inspired version of Ck one lol I could not afford it! You have taking me back and I love it!
I know! My cousins wore CK one but they were a few years older than me... I don't think I was wearing anything but body shop bodysprays in the middle nineties... Certainly not actual fragrance, but I was definitely aware of CK one because it was everywhere!!! 😂
I just found your channel yesterday. I LOVE your videos! I love how educational they are, and how detailed you are with the history and science behind fragrance. Thank you so much!
Dolce & Gabbana Pour Homme was released in 1994 and every guy I knew was wearing it, including me. 😄 I love Cinema! I have the EDT and it lasts forever. Really enjoyable video, Claire. Thanks for the walk down memory lane!
It's odd isn't it how particular fragrances really signify particular times and how one fragrance can be so popular that nearly everyone wears it. You wonder how much people actually like the scent itself or are being swayed by advertising. That little bottle of vintage Cinema took me ages to find and I wore it a lot this winter to work, I think that was only about 12ml when I got it, but I've really enjoyed it 😊 so cosy! Have a fab week Jim 🥰
@@dr.claire.perfume Oh, that was sooo me back in the 80s and 90s, lol. I wore things I wasn't too crazy about just because they were the "hot" thing. There weren't a lot of choices for men back in the day so I jumped on every trending fragrance. 😁
I loooved wearing Allure So Much ~~~ and I miss it ! Might get it again soon, yet its so different wearing it so many years later at another stage of my life... Thank you for your great videos , you put so much research and work into them., what a treat seeing what was on at that time, politically and culturally and 'scentially' ! Many, many thanks !
Allure is one I only smelt about a year ago and I had an instant recognition that it is the smell of my godmother, I never realised before, but I almost cried when I smelt it as she sadly died. It's a lovely fragrance, and that's from someone who doesn't always love peach. I'm happy that you enjoyed the video 🥰, thanks for letting me know that! Have a lovely Friday 😊
@@dr.claire.perfume Hi Claire, Thank you for sharing your comment. it was touching and moving to read about your godmother. I didn't realise that Allure was Peach base, I actually really love it! and never thought I particularly like peach in fragrances... at least I know I don't like the gourmand hyper-realistic peachy syrupy types of perfumes. Yet in the case of Allure for example, I smell more of an overall array of the whole perfume, rather than particular notes within it I only realised this insight lately, which is maybe why I usually smell perfumes as an overall scent, and then decide whether I like them or not, rather than being drawn to a particular note or deciphering the note accords within a fragrance... So I guess it's more of an overall experience for me. Good for me to realise this & put words to this experience, as I've always wondered how come I don't decipher certain notes as some people do, and I rather experience an overall experience in the scent of a perfume... Best wishes to you and Thank You ! 🙏😊🪴
This trip down memory lane was quite fun. Thanks Claire. 😄 By the way, I'm a 100% sure there is a leather or suede note in La Belle and it's Le Parfum flanker.
Thank you! And yes, absolutely! I think so too! JPG were sneaky... I don't really understand why really, they seem to do that a lot. Have a fab weekend 🥰
Wow so much research done here as usual. I still have Eden but don't wear it. Its a memory scent 4 me. My fave of these is ToyBoy. Love it. I miss Ricci Ricci 😪
Thank you ❤️ Toyboy is a big one! 💥 Ricci Ricci is very sweet and syrupy, it's really hard to find now isn't it? I've no idea when it was discontinued... Have a fab bank holiday Mel! 😘
I remember that j'adore commercial with Carmen Kass getting in the pool with the golden liquid. I went with my mum to test it in the store and from that day, it became her signature scent.
Oooh yes I think we have almost the same taste! Gucci Rush, Paco Rabanne Ultraviolet, DK Be Delicious, Cinéma, Terracotta...still have the last two... And yes The Red Hot Chili Peppers! Even my oldest and youngest son still love it...difference of age of 13 years!❤❤❤
They are just cool aren't they?! I really like the older RHCP albums, they make me think of happy late teenage years 😊 And yes! Clearly our tastes overlap there! 🙂
Hello Claire, I wanted to thank you for your videos. I recently got into perfumes and your videos are immensely educational and they make my nerdy self extremely happy ❤ Would it be possible of you to create a video about masculine scents? Especially this 'axe body spray' opening which I completely cannot comprehend. I would really appreciate it.
I sell perfume for a living since 2006 - I really enjoy your channel and the nostalgic feeling I got while watching this video. I worked as a beauty advisor for Clarins from 2006-2009. I remember how much I hated the Mugler fragrances at that time. We were encouraged to wear them of course, the only one I could stomach was "Angel Innocent" .Did you know that one? It was like a fresher version of Angel in a tall cylinder bottle. I had so many bottles of the old formula Angel and Alien because they gifted them to us on every occasion. I wish I had kept some of them, so I could send them to you. I agree btw. Mugler isn't the same anymore since L'Oreal Luxe bought them. Even though Mugler was never my taste, their fragrances were unique. I could tell without a doubt "THAT is a Mugler scent". Now they become very mainstream. Such a shame.
Wow, yes! You would be very popular with all those pre reformulation bottles, what a time to work for Clarins! Did you enjoy any of their other lines of fragrances? I agree, Mugler were love or hate and they were so loud that it was probably very unfortunate not to enjoy them and have to wear them! Poor you! Yes I have a little sample of Innocent, it's a nice one 🙂 I might do a video on discontinued Mugler flankers eventually, because I have so many samples 😂 Thanks for watching 🥰
@@dr.claire.perfume I did enjoy the original version of Mugler Cologne (the light green bottle) and I did like Alien Fusion. Actually, "Alien Hypersense" is similar to "Fusion", although the lasting power and projection is a lot weaker with all new formulations (in my opinion). After so many years having smelled so many different fragrances, I appreciate perfumes that are unique and extravagant. Some scents you recognize immediately and that means they created something that stands out. I would love a video about discontinued flankers of Mugler. BTW I do enjoy Alien and Angel now that I'm older. I don't wear them myself, but I enjoy if I recognize someone wearing it. My taste changed so much since my early twenties.
@@QManagerin I don't think I ever tried Mugler Cologne, but I remember trying Fusion! I agree, the new ones are relatively quiet... And yes me too 😂 I think I would have hated most of what I wear these days if I'd have smelt them in my twenties. My taste has moved on for sure! 😂
The first fragrances I got were Roma by Laura Biagiotti and Naomi Campbell celebrity fragrance. My roomate got them from her boyfriend but didn't like them, so she gave them to me. They split up soon after. I still keep a bottle of Roma in my collection. It's a heady aromatic vanilla with a mint opening note. Very different from contemporary gourmand vanillas. Before graduation I treated myself with Pamplelune by Guerlain and Ça sent beau by Kenzo. I still like the opening of Ça sent beau but I never understood the dry down. Pamplelune is still my favourite citrus scent.
Roma is the kind of thing that sounds like what I was looking for with Lolita Lempicka Green Lover and didn't really get! I really like mint 🙂 Pamplelune is gorgeous, I really love that one and also the bergamot one that they do, they have some truly beautiful citrus fragrances! Fab memories and I think the writing was on the wall for your roommate's relationship if she was giving away perfume gifts 😉 have a good week 🥰
This was an amazing trip down memory lane. My scents of the times were... CK One (1994) L'Eau par Kenzo (1996) Cacharel Noa (1998) Emporio Armani White for her (2001) Burberry Brit edt (2004) Hermès Eau des Merveilles (2004) Dior Midnight Poison (2007) I think after that I found Bath House's early fragrances and discovered that there were perfumes outside of the designer world
Some classics there! And definitely ones that I associate with you 😊 Bath house have some lovely ones, I went to York the other month and I meant to look for the shop but I completely forgot 🤦♀️ I need to remember! I want to try more of them 😊 have a fab weekend 🥰
@@dr.claire.perfume I have smelled most of them and I can't say there is a bad one. They are just really good, wearable perfumes that are mass appealing without being the same old stuff that designers seem to be cranking out
Yes it's gorgeous! I will definitely include it when I do this list again in 2027 as it was released in 2017... Hopefully I'll still be making videos 😂 thanks for watching 🥰
Great video, thank you!! I subconsciously use perfumes as mental ... diary notes, I guess it's partly why I collect perfumes. After a huge change in my life, I've just realized that I'm currently looking for my next signature scent... (I used to wear a discontinued men's zara perfume, Gucci rush, V Absolu, Madly, cherry in the air and This is her for the longest time, but in the last few months I got more than 30 new perfumes, my favourites being dupes of Valaya and Rouge Chaotique)
Ooh I've not tried Rouge Chaotique! I agree, fragrances can be markers in time and can come to prompt particular memories and feelings. Good luck in finding your new signature 🥰
Hi Claire ❤ I’ve always worn fragrance. One at a time! Bought it, used it up, and either repurchased or moved on. That ship has sailed!😂 I recently discovered YSL Cinema. I can’t get enough of it. ❤ The next on my list to try is Jovoy Fire at Will. I recently tried Pure Poison as well. Love! Love all the Poisons…. I love Orchidee Vanille. Can you tell I’m a vanilla fan?😊 I loved walking down memory lane. 💛
Thank you! ❤️ I need to try Fire at Will! I really liked Remember Me! I think finding another reasonably priced vintage bottle of YSL cinema will take me sometime... It was comforting and addictive! Pure Poison has been on my wishlist for a good year, it's time I found a bottle... I think you are a vanilla with a twist kind of person rather than a straight vanilla. 😊
I love these videos. The relevant cultural updates with the current political news adds to the relevance of the fragrances that were popular at the time. I totally forgot about EA Green Tea now I want to go smell it again! Great work Claire. I always want to relevant my makeup videos because you do so much work for your videos and I appreciate that! Hope you have a wonderful week my friend!🥰
Thank you! ❤️ This format would definitely work with makeup! Go for it! I bet this would be popular actually, there have been some game changing releases in the makeup world for sure over the last 30 years. 🥰
I just found your channel and omg I love how precise you are in this historical perspective - bravo! I actually didn't like Be Delicious in the past but I smelled it in the shop a week ago and now I love it and I plan to buy a bottle. I also want YSL Cinema because it reminds me a bit Sensi (Armani).
Thank you! ❤️ I'm really happy that you enjoyed this. I have very fond memories of Be Delicious, but it's quite annoying as you finish the bottle as the scent can't collect in a corner 😂 I really enjoyed my bottle of Cinema, I haven't tried Sensi though unfortunately! Thanks for watching 🥰
@@dr.claire.perfume Thank you for reply, Claire ❤ Maybe your can make more retrospective videos about perfumes. Btw what is your eyeshadows that you wear in this video? It looks so beautiful
@@arcticships thank you! I think this is the elf bitesize rosewater, the first three shades and then a darker shade from a old Rimmel palette. I think that Rosewater palette is the best £3 I ever spent on eyeshadow 😂
Yes, Angel was an interesting release, and not an instant success, but by 1998 it was a best seller. It's got a very interesting story behind it. I have a video 😂 cos I absolutely loved Mugler pre L'Oréal. Thanks for watching 🥰
This was amazing Claire, i want to watch last years video now💖. I'm a late Gen X and this was a wonderful trip down memory lane. I dont own many perfumes from after about 2010 because i mostly love vintage smelling perfumes.
Thank you! Yes I was really surprised by how much of my collection is actually pre 2020, even pre 2015 with designer fragrances. I guess the more recent ones just haven't grabbed me! Happy to give you some fragrance nostalgia 😊
So cool hearing about the history and trends of these fragrances. I use to work for a woman who had a massive collection of really old perfume like some it had real mink oil in it. She would sell decants of it. Love how you speak of what was trending in the media at the time and linking to the perfumes. Based on tarot cards?? How cool! Toy Boy yes! I loved it just for the name 🤣. Gucci makes some great fragrances. I wish they would make perfume for men. I am not a fan of cologne. I hate the way the all smell and they all smell the same and it bothers my allergies. 👍
Gosh, I wonder how old those fragrances were! I guess perfume regulations only tightened up more recently. I bet she was an interesting character 😂 thanks for watching 🥰
I have tried it once in store! I really liked it but it felt a bit more mainstream than the rest of the AA range. It was really lovely though and I don't mean to take anything away from it. I immediately wanted a bottle 😂
Hello! I recently discovered your channel. I'm a guy but I stumbled on your channel looking for honest reviewers. I saw your video about spilling the tea on the fragrance reviewer community and I have to say it was spot on. Are there any channels you would actually recommend for men's fragrance reviews?
Thank you, that's very kind. With regard to men's fragrance, I have had a few conversations with Pep from the_scentinel, he seems quite straight up. Joy Amin too is just someone who loves fragrance. Smelly Swede I used to watch a bit, he comes and goes though. Also ScentedSnowdrops, who I mention a lot is my friend, so I'm biased, but I met him here and he has greatly influenced my channel and has taught me loads about fragrance and social media. He never uses links or has any interest in flogging you stuff. I guess really that the problem is that honesty doesn't always translate into a slick video so it's quite hard to tell a lot of the time! Btw, I will post a "men's" fragrance video either next video or the following one. It's recorded, I just have to edit it 😊 thanks for watching 🥰
🤣 maybe it's cultural because I'm in the UK and you in the US? I don't know! I absolutely love the cinema so I really have watched a lot of films, especially so in my late teens and twenties! 🥰
Can you tell us your opinion on chemical ingredients in fragrances as now there is worry, they are bad for our health. I have big collection, I love perfumes and I am continuously buying new perfumes.
I don't really know enough to give an opinion as I don't want to spread misinformation. I think an industry insider who's a scientist and who has read around the subject more than me would be a better person to talk about it. I work in medical genetics so it's not my area. I think really that IFRA and government regulations on fragrance composition mean that the industry is pretty tightly regulated and no company would knowingly do anything that might prompt them to be sued these days. Also man made chemicals can be much safer than using natural extracts, which is really the direction that the bulk of the industry is moving in. Thanks for watching 🥰
@@r0ber00o it's stunning! I really love the camomile too but the bitter almond makes it an odd start; daring, but ultimately, probably a major part of its downfall, because unless people sniff again later, they totally miss the beauty of it.
I’m still getting over the shock that 1994 was 30 years ago. 😢😮😂
Same 😂hahaha !
My mum gets so confused by how old I am even, I think she's permanently dismisses a decade from existence. 😂
I try not to think about it 🙈🙉🙊
Oh hell it's just hit home to me. 😱😱😢
Sorry 🙈
Love the historical perspective! Opium (1977) was what I wore when first married. That fragrance lives on in my mind and there has never been anything else like it IMO
Agreed I think I wore it on my first date ever when I was 16!
@@mamoni7703 Clive Christian 😂🙊
@@dr.claire.perfumeyes 😂, and Goutal. Goutal’s was a huge disappointment.
Oh really! Wow, quite a few brands made their own versions!
Jadore used to be my mums signature fragrance. It makes me think of her and of my childhood.
Yes, it's very evocative of that time period. My friend wears J'adore at work and she smells amazing! Another friend wears J'adore l'or and she smells fab too 🙂
I really enjoy these mini histories connecting perfumes with the trends of decades.
Thank you ❤️ I'm happy you enjoy this type of video.
Thank you, Claire, for another great video and for the nostalgia❤❤
I'm a Gen X and I can remember having Pleasures, Allure, Black Orchid & Be Delicious Night. However, perfume was not a passion then. Thank you Claire!
I got so many compliments on pleasures
I remember my mum went to buy me Pleasures for my birthday once and came back with Beyond Paradise instead, so I've never had a bottle, but I've smelt it many times 😊
Sad the Be Delicious Night was discontinued too.
Thanks for watching 🥰
Hey Claire! I love when you do these types of videos! Pure Poison is on my wish list! I was devastated when MJ and Patrick Swayze died 😞
Pure Poison is really lovely! I missed out on a vintage bottle yesterday 😭 I forgot to bid... 🤦♀️
@@dr.claire.perfume oh my goodness! How terrible 😞
There will be another eventually 🙂
I can see why you love it 🥰
I think of my life in decades of fragrance. I wore Fidji to my wedding.
Thank you for this lovely post!
I have a little bottle of Fidji! 😊 Fragrances do really take you to particular times and places. 🥰
Dior j’adore is probably one of my all time favorite fragrances. So timeless and beautiful. It’s elegant and makes me feel so sexy too
Sadly I don't think it suits me but I really do enjoy smelling it on others. It's a very smooth and silky feeling fragrance to me! 🥰
I totally forget that the 90s was 30 years ago and feels like only a couple years ago 😮 I adored Tendre poison and often wonder if I’d still like it ?

Hi Faith! Hope you've had a good week 🥰
Love the trip down memory lane with fragrance and associating what was going on with film, music, and politics. Such a great video!
The only release I had from 1994 was Sun Moon Stars.
Thank you! Oh I think that one was loved actually! 🥰
Gah Claire I feel so old! The 90’s were flippin’ awesome and I had so much fun back then. This video was excellent, thank you Claire!

Just finished watching this video, and an ad for allbeauty popped up - with Rochas Tocade EdT 😄👀 Thanks for the nostalgia trip, great video 😊
Gosh! Google is spot on with the spyware 🤣 thanks for watching, I'm happy that you enjoyed it ❤️
What an enjoyable series, thank you Claire, they're always great fun.
The smell of second hand smoke, minty gum and CK1 😀
Only just got Terracotta thanks to Veronica Says and it's gorgeous and perfect for Sydney weather.
Thank you! Thoroughly enjoyed this!
Thank you ❤️ yes there are lots of absolute classics here! I agree that period around the millennium was very innovative and brands were less afraid to take a chance on a new fragrance. ☺️
Terracotta is a stunner! I absolutely love it ☺️ thanks for watching 🥰
I was wearing Cristalle from Chanel from early 1990s to mid 90s. Then Dune from Christian Dior was my signature along with YSL rive gauche
😂😂😂😂 Nope not this granny 😂😂😂😂 I would still be smelling fabulously vintage and Chypry. I'm so happy i'm not interrested in smelling like a donut
Thank you ❤️ 😂 that's hilarious! But yeah you are right, I think the trends will flip again!
This is too funny and likely accurate. I’d take a chypre over a gourmand anytime. Eagerly waiting for the trends to progress onto something new.
May your prediction come true! I’d say that it is happening already. Many niche brands are recycling classic scent profiles these days and then you see the same reviewer who found Opium to be an outdated “granny” scent, praise a new “avant-garde” niche creation that is nothing but Opium in a fancy bottle.
I love chypre ❤
Hi Claire! This was such a nostalgic experience down memory lane. I was obsessed with Notebook and cried every single time ❤️❤️
Thank you! ❤️ I think there are a lot of people who really love that film 😭
Elle was lovely and I finished a bottle of infusion d'iris and Lovely 😊 I haven't tried Sensi 🤔
I really enjoyed my fluffy benzoin-vanilla cloud of Cinema, I found it very snuggly.

Yes Armani Sensi!!! Oh I'm so happy to have seen your comment. I have been trying to remember the name of this fragrance for some time now and Claire's video helped put my head back a couple decades then I saw your comment and BAM I remembered it! You've helped me scratch a memory itch that I've had for years now, thank you ✌️🌷
@@michellebastiani6470 it seems like it was very popular, there are a few people mentioning it! 🙂
Cheers! 😃

Hi Claire! 1994 seems so far back. I remember loving Poison! My brother loved CK-1. I still love Cacharel - only Anais Anais.
Thanks for watching 🥰
5:08 😮ck one was the first perfume i was into. I think i was 12 or 13. Everyone at school boy or girl was obsessed with it! It was THE cool girl/boy fragrance at the time, i was living in malaysia and my sister bought it for me from the US, where she was studying at the time. How tine flies!
Yes! It was huge here too! My cousins (both male and female) wore it! It was just THE fragrance of the time! What a lovely gift from your sister ☺️
This was a magical journey down memory lane. Thank you ❤
Happy that you enjoyed it! Have a lovely weekend 🥰
D&G Lemperitise was one I didn’t care for at all
I love hearing what we were doing in these times that went with these fragrances we were wearing
Still love my Terracoto so so much ,can’t believe I flew through the first bottle of that one
Love Jadore, one of my favourite nostalgic scents. The OG girl in the ad was a model called Carmen Kass, i think Charlize came afterwards
Yes you're right! She did the Narciso Rodriguez for her EDT campaign too and maybe also Dune? Thanks for watching 🥰
I discovered pure musc in 2019.. One of my most favourite simce then
Also when i started the horrible habit of buying and hoarding perfumes
Haha me too! 2019 was the time 😂 oh yes! Pure Musc! Narciso Rodriguez have had some fab ones. I'm not so sure about All of Me but the other lines are a yes from me 😊
Ahhhh loved Tendre Poison. Such a special fragrance. xx I also remember when the original Opium was released in the late 70's and all the controversy it created. It was even banned in some Countries because of its name.
It's funny isn't it! I guess it was just something that hadn't been done before so it was controversial. 🥰
Fragrance is such a fab way to remember a trip or experience! They can take you right back to a moment or memory! Thanks for watching 🥰
I really love how you do so much research on perfumes and fragrances. I so appreciate it and enjoy your educational opinions.
Thank you ❤️ I do spend a lot of time on videos sometimes and especially with editing this one! 😂
Have a lovely bank holiday weekend 💖
Crystal noir I actually plan wearing because it's essentially eternal and very strong 😂
Toyboy I have a strange curiosity about, I don't want to wear it, but I can't stop sniffing it 😂
I was definitely in a Coconut Fizz kinda mood when I filmed this...
In 1994 I was still wearing Paloma Picasso, probably in 1999 as well.
Well that came out when I was born I think? It was very loved. I still have a little vintage bottle of it. 😊
This was so well researched. Thank you for all the work you put into this. I still wear CK One when I’m feeling nostalgic, especially in the fall.
Thank you ❤️ I'm happy that you enjoyed this! CK One is such a classic 👌 one sniff and I'm back in the 90s!
Claire, you have done an awesome job on this video. Thoroughly enjoying it! Jessica McClintock - my wedding 1992 🙂
What a great choice for a fragrance memory 😊 thanks for watching 🥰
This was so nostalgic! I totally forgot about some of the trends in each of these years.
Thank you ❤️ happy that you enjoyed it 🥰
I remember wearing cacharel eden at my older sister's wedding in 2004, i also thought tocade was from 80's 😄,
Happy by pharell williams and all about the base i always listen to it that time when i was still working at the dentist clinic 🙂 i cant believe that was 10 years ago already, seems like yesterday, thank you for bringing so much memories ❤️
Did you see Fragrantica has an article on Eden today because of it being 30 years old?
Yes those two songs were everywhere weren't they! They definitely take me back too! Hope you are well 🥰
@@dr.claire.perfume, im going to look at it, thanks for the info 🙂
No worries ☺️
awww...the good old times and fragrances...you took me back to my childhood with this video . Great history and amazing scents that stood the test of time . Great video and thanks for sharing it with us🤗🤗🤗
Thank you! ❤️ Happy that you enjoyed it. 🥰
Thank you ❤️ I'm really happy that you enjoy them 😊 I don't do this for anything but a hobby so that's lovely to read! 🥰
@@dcjimr1 I think I just wore things I was gifted 🙊 I rarely chose anything for myself until the mid 2000s...
@@dr.claire.perfume Hi Claire,
Thank you for sharing your comment. it was touching and moving to read about your godmother.
I didn't realise that Allure was Peach base, I actually really love it! and never thought I particularly like peach in fragrances... at least I know I don't like the gourmand hyper-realistic peachy syrupy types of perfumes.
Yet in the case of Allure for example, I smell more of an overall array of the whole perfume, rather than particular notes within it
I only realised this insight lately, which is maybe why I usually smell perfumes as an overall scent, and then decide whether I like them or not, rather than being drawn to a particular note or deciphering the note accords within a fragrance... So I guess it's more of an overall experience for me. Good for me to realise this & put words to this experience, as I've always wondered how come I don't decipher certain notes as some people do, and I rather experience an overall experience in the scent of a perfume...
Best wishes to you and Thank You !
🙏😊🪴
It's not one where much sticks out for me at all either, I think that's why I like it. ☺️
@@dr.claire.perfume That's good to know ☺
Wishing you a great week !
This trip down memory lane was quite fun. Thanks Claire. 😄
By the way, I'm a 100% sure there is a leather or suede note in La Belle and it's Le Parfum flanker.
In the early days, the face of J'adore was Estonian model Carmen Kass.
You're right! ❤️ She did the Narciso Rodriguez adverts too 😊 thanks for watching 🥰
I remember that j'adore commercial with Carmen Kass getting in the pool with the golden liquid. I went with my mum to test it in the store and from that day, it became her signature scent.
@@AnaLaura-meowsofgreece it clearly worked as a commercial! 🙂
I really like the older RHCP albums, they make me think of happy late teenage years 😊
And yes! Clearly our tastes overlap there! 🙂
Hello Claire, I wanted to thank you for your videos. I recently got into perfumes and your videos are immensely educational and they make my nerdy self extremely happy ❤
Would it be possible of you to create a video about masculine scents? Especially this 'axe body spray' opening which I completely cannot comprehend. I would really appreciate it.
Thank you! Oh I'm happy you are enjoying them... I'm a nerd too! 🤣 I will look into it. Thanks for watching 🥰
Poor you!
Yes I have a little sample of Innocent, it's a nice one 🙂 I might do a video on discontinued Mugler flankers eventually, because I have so many samples 😂
Thanks for watching 🥰

Thank you! You too! Yes I am well thanks, I hope that you have a lovely week. 🥰
Wow this is such a great video idea

L'Eau par Kenzo (1996)
Cacharel Noa (1998)
Emporio Armani White for her (2001)
Burberry Brit edt (2004)
Hermès Eau des Merveilles (2004)
Dior Midnight Poison (2007)

Great video and wonderful memories with all those fragrances. Thank you,

The next on my list to try is Jovoy Fire at Will.
I recently tried Pure Poison as well. Love! Love all the Poisons….
I love Orchidee Vanille. Can you tell I’m a vanilla fan?😊

I'm going through a Guerlain phase right now and I was wondering if you ever happened to try florabloom by Guerlain. I am very intrigued to try it.
@@dr.claire.perfume Thank you so much, cheers!!
No worries ☺️
Thumbs up before I even watch the video. I know it’ll be good ❤
Thank you ❤️ I hope it was! 🥰
It’s so interesting that I am not familiar with the majority of the movies and songs you mentioned 🤦🏽♀️
🤣 maybe it's cultural because I'm in the UK and you in the US? I don't know! I absolutely love the cinema so I really have watched a lot of films, especially so in my late teens and twenties! 🥰
Coconut fizz i loved it,now im at the 2 bottle using
It's lovely in the summer. 🥥🌴⛱️
I have J’adore I love it
It's really lovely! My friend at work wears it and she smells amazing in it!
I miss memoire d'une odeur so much!!! (it's been discontinued, still available on the odd discounter)
I absolutely love the drydown, I'm not so keen on the opening though 😂 but that's short lived. I also love the apothecary inspired bottles. 👌
@@dr.claire.perfume yes I love the sandalwood in the dry down and the bottle is beautiful!
@@r0ber00o it's stunning! I really love the camomile too but the bitter almond makes it an odd start; daring, but ultimately, probably a major part of its downfall, because unless people sniff again later, they totally miss the beauty of it.
