Transparent bottles are pretty much a must for most people I think! I recently purchased the most expensive fragrance I've ever bought and it was £105 so that sounds about similar at €130 and I agree, prices have skyrocketed. A smaller collection is something I would really appreciate going back to. I find any more than about 100 feels incredibly overwhelming and I know I have a YT channel, but I don't want fragrances I don't love or don't wear and when a collection is over 100 you can't possibly get to all of them on a regular basis. Divine was a tricky one for me, the calypsone really made me feel nauseous, but that sadly is just a personal issue, I do applaud Divine as being distinctive and different in a sea of very similar smelling designer fragrances and yes! I didn't know about Daisy Wild but I remember reading an article with her about the NR for her line and its 20th anniversary talking about her work for the line and about her inspirations. I made a video about the history of the original EDT last January, along with no. 5 and Bandit. I really loved researching for that. 😊 I agree that Sonia Constant has made some stunning fragrances. 🥰

Haha 😂 I can sometimes taste fragrances when I sniff them to close. Tropical Wood by Montale really was very distinctive because of that. 😂

I haven't tried Barenia yet. I need to go in store and sniff it. Sadly fragrances are locked away more and more here too. It's the shoplifting gangs! I was in a big brand store shortly after a gang of 5 had struck and they had literally taken every single tester. Yes, I don't know who gave the final yes to that, but wow, I wonder whether they smelt it. PdM has never been a love for me because of the amount of ambroxan and iso E super they often use, but there are some scents with personality still. Here with Palatine though the cashmeran is punching and very little else! 🥰

Oh I'm so happy that someone else smells the plastic/ vinyl. I thought I was mad 🤣 it sounds like you have thoroughly tested Fantasm! I have a bottle of both 90s and 2000s vintage Angel EDP and to me, Fantasm is very different in style with patchouli to those. To me, it smells more like the modern Angel EDP. I absolutely loved the 90s version that I had but I finished the bottle this week as it was snowing here and that is the best snowy fragrance 😭 there was so much liquorice 😋 in the 90s version. Thanks for letting me know your thoughts 🥰

Yes! Definitely get a sample of Fantasm! I so very almost blind bought it. 🤦‍♀️ There were bottles from travel exclusives for sale before its general release, so I could have bought it back in May / June when general release was September here. I'm so happy that I didn't 🙈 it just wasn't for me. I think I'm the oddity though, people seem to love it. Having said that, I do have a 90s and 2000s bottle of Angel so I probably have pretty fresh memory of what vintage Angel actually smells like and this isn't that for me. The patchouli smells just like modern Angel to me. 🥰

Gosh Chloe has been around a while! I remember having my bottle of that flanker before I started UA-cam and that wasn't one of the first fragrances in the line! I think the Marc Jacobs, it's mostly what you'd expect from a Daisy flanker. It's nothing ground breaking, but the banana bubblegum took me by surprise 🤣 I think the comments on this video reveal quite a split with the NR, let me know what you think! 🥰

Thank you! ❤️ I agree with you, so many are tooth achingly sweet! I've not tried Barenia, I need to, I want to know what I think. I've seen people love and hate it in equal measure. Hermes do tend to go their own way, one of the only truly independent fragrance houses left I think, despite attempts to take it over by LVMH. Someone else mentioned Hinoki and Cedarwood. @@dr.claire.perfume Sometimes I feel as if I was smelling pure sugar 🤪 and I prefer something more complex and not so straighforward edible. That's why I liked Nerolia Vetiver durng summer as it was even slightly bitter 😀. And recently I started to enjoy classic chypres that my mother used to wear and I hated as a teenager 🤣. @izaj yes, I think I crave something counterculture sometimes and something vintage can be that too! Smelling something outside of modern designer, and even mass market niche, is always refreshing. Older designers, even 5-10 years back, really have a very different feeling. 🥰

@dr.claire.perfume I heard many people say that it was a skippable or reduntant scent from NR, but for me it was the bee's knees. To me it doesn't smell like any of his other scents. Nor have I smelled anything too similar. If and when you do get a NR For Her, do let us know which one and why! Would love to hear your reasoning behind it 😊

Thank you ❤️ Yes, weirdly my Hypersense sample smelt much nicer than a bottle that I later tried in store. I've not really had that experience before. Oh yes, I've seen those gold Donna Karans all over, I've not tried Pink Woods. The new Gucci Flora for me was just crazily sweet! I could perhaps imagine it smelling like banana foam sweets perhaps, but yes, it could also be the yellow bottle. I will sample it again with that in mind. I can't say I got banana in the first three tries though. 🥰

It's lovely isn't it? Probably only the other fragrances that I mentioned in the NR lines like Musc Noir, Musc Noir Rose, Narciso Poudrée are similar to me. Really the Narciso Rodriguez musk is very distinctive, but what you might consider similar is likely dependent upon exactly what aspect of Musc Nude is important to you. 🥰

Yes! It's an odd choice really because the notes suggest it's tropical yet they chose black 🤷‍♀️ I also like the Million Gold bottle. It makes me think of Michael Kors though 🤔

Yes NR are a brand that seem to chug along quietly and really are still bringing out the occasional gem. I could happily own one of the For Her line. 🥰

I also sometimes can literally taste fragrances which I actually hate 😝 Montale tropical wood was one of those! I know I'm odd 🤣

Yes! I got a vibe of Musc Noir Rose from it too... That's a good idea actually, I have a lot of Boots points to use. 🤔 I agree, I don't want a bottle of Daisy Wild either, but it was a pleasant surprise to smell it. 🙂 I can see the Chloe being more suitable for winter, I loved the raspberry 😍 I wish it lingered longer though. @ 46 is not as airy as the OG, sandalwood is quite prominent in it, however, it‘s a little less loud, but still quite room filling (3 colleagues chased me down in the lab). I think it‘s more wearable than the OG. I pretty much loved the OG on the clothes, but not on skin. I‘d say if someone could not pull the OG due to skin chemistry, the 46 could work its magic instead. It is otherwise 60-70% same, just incense is toned down, while sandalwood is amped up.

I feel like a lot of the Chloe flankers have been discontinued. The one I had is long gone now. 🥰

Yep, my socks are very much still on too. I've been trying not to buy as many bottles this year, I'm not sure it's worked but I've definitely bought more samples and sample sets and I think I've tried way more fragrances as a result. Have a lovely weekend 🥰

@ sampling is a far more reasonable practice than buying full bottles right away. I’m going to do that more frequently now, too, as I realize there are so many bottles I fell out of love with and have to declutter.

Yes! I remember trying Velvet Orchid many years ago when it first came out and thinking it was awful, ten years later and I have a 100ml and love it. Black Orchid, Velvet Orchid, Orchid Soleil are all loves for me. 🥰

Angel Fantasm seems to have come and gone without a fanfare, it launched here in September, is it out in Canada? Million Gold is being advertised heavily here. I haven't seen anyone else talk about it though. 🥰

I tried very hard to like Fantasm but I just couldn't 🤦‍♀️ after trying it a few times, I wore my vintage 90s bottle of Angel and loved it 💙 sadly so much that I've now finished it 😂 but I have another from the 2000s still in my collection. I agree with you, the intense is nicer to me than the original for All of Me, it's a bit more interesting. And yes, the NR Musc line are much of a muchness. I want one, but only one! I have seen lots of people say it's super spicy actually so that doesn't surprise me. For me it went very fruity! The next day it was like roasted peaches. I also sprayed Guidance one time when I sampled Love Delight and Guidance I could still smell 5 days and several showers later. Wow does that linger! Weirdly I was given two samples by someone and they smell very different to each other, it makes me wonder why. 🥰

@@dr.claire.perfumecould it be that you tested Guidance and Guidance 46? I fell in love with the latter, the OG just didn’t work with my skin unfortunatelly. Maybe I need to revisit it. Both versions are powerhouse, and lasting on clothes until I don’t wash. On my hoodie the G46 it going strong for 3rd week in a row.

It is musky in a shampooey way for sure! I think with brands and lines like Marc Jacobs Daisy, I'm not expecting something wow, but I was shocked by how fruity this smelt. I struggled with Divine, the watermelon calone like chemical that I can't remember the name of made me nauseous 😂 Gorgeous Orchid isn't me but is perfectly wearable. 🥰

Hi Jill! Testing Fantasm made me reach for my 90s era Angel this week, I finished the bottle unfortunately 😭 I do have another later version from the 2000s still though. I kept trying Fantasm, trying and hoping to love it, I'm happy that you are enjoying it. I think it's been popular and done well. 🥰
