i reckon you can unscrew that torx screw and remove the lever, loosen it to accomodate the arca plate (which is calibrated to tightening it when the lever is moved)
Any idea what size torx screw is on the clamp? I need to loosen mine as the small rig plate won’t slide in. Unfortunately small rig send out a hex key and not the torx.
Hi! Very helpful video! it made my mind to buy this plate for RS4. I want to ask you how you've managed to balance with zoom lens? Or you have it in fixed focal distance? Thank you!
most of the time I use the Sony 12-24mm or the Sony/Zeiss 16-35mm ... I balance both lense at 20mm ... that works quite ok ... if I know I only use it on 12 or 16mm I balance the gimbal on that specific focal length
@@MichaelSchmidt_UrbnPxl i did the same thing with my fujinon 10 24. I've balanced it on 18 mm and gimbal DJI RS4 doesn't show any orange or red indicators when i zoom in or out. The most important is that the lens has to zoom inside the barrel all the time.
Is that true? Am I able to use Bexin Plate? I have bought a number of generic arca plates but none work, but will the Bexin just fit on the RS without issue?
@yazeee533 yo, instead of waiting 7 months with no reply, i went ahead n bought it myself.. and it works.. so i went to buy two instead. One for manfrotto monopod, another for my tripod..
@@MichaelSchmidt_UrbnPxl my smallrig cage don't have acra Swiss on the bottom. So I've mounted arca Swiss plate in axis of lens. Need to be that direction to use two mounting screws for the plate
With this adapter it's not that critical because you still have the dji adjustment axis in lens direction. But with the smallrig 4195 you loose this axis complete and can't balance the Lense, but have two adjustments in direction to the motor of the gimbal 🤦♂️
The original arca swiss base plate is way better, it actually locks the camera plate and the locking lever is much easier to do and undo than that screw. The best setup is to use a Smallrig camera plate and the original RS3 base plate.
the reason it's raised i believe is due to the way the follow focus is attached from DJI
great tip. I had that issue. ordered the plate and will try!

Any idea what size the torx screw is as small rig send a hex and I can’t get the plate to fit 😢
Thank you! This is what I was looking for. I also have a Smallrig cage and I found it annoying that I can't mount it to the original DJI plate.
Please where you able to mount it on your tripod as well
@@yazeeishim Yes indeed :)

Same issue with my RS3. Yesterday i bought new RS3 and Small-rig QR plate that i was using with RSC2 don’t slide / fit.

@@yanniskorsavvidis7111good to hear it also fits well on rs4. Just ordered one!
The same way you slid it on horizontally you can rotate and do that vertically right ?
thank you so much for making this video
What if I need it for my tripod
Thank you so very much!
Bought one of the Smallrig 3061 adapters for my RS3 Pro and sadly it doesnt seem to fit...
Just ordered one to see if it also works with thr RS4 lets hope so
does it?
@@Majanstube yes it does!
Nice! What side handles do you use for the gimbal?
SMALLRIG RS2 RSC2 RS3 RS3 Pro Dual Handgrip

Thanks alot, great idea.
Also bexin plate arca swiss compatible with dji rsc2.
Cheaper than smallrig

Hi there, i was just wondering am i able to mount this plate on my manfrotto tripod 190 as well?
Looking for same answer
@@yazeeishim i bought it after 7 months no reply. 😅 But to help you out, Yeap, it works marvelously.. i buying a 2nd one for my monopod

Great video. With the Smallrig plate, is it still only slide in only or can you top load as well?
Still only slide in
@@MichaelSchmidt_UrbnPxl Ok thank you
Why in my rs3 with sony a7iv and sigma 24-70 doesnt perform well the 360 mode?
Does it will work with arcs Swiss monoballfix plate?
What the reference of this plate plz ?
Its baffling why they didnt make the original mount just arca. There is zero benefit to their custom mount.
Unfortunately the arca Swiss slot show in the wrong direction. Needs to be turned 90 degrees in axis to the lens
why? how do you mount your camera? ... using a cage or an arca swiss plate? (if you use a plate on your camera just turn the plate)

@@MIMCKMedia yeah... I see ... that's why I switched to cages with Acra Swiss for all my cameras 😅
dji ronin rs3 plate are same with ronin s?
i'm not sure ... I used to have an Ronin SC and that was the same but I think Ronin S uses a different style of plate ... but again, i'm not sure
Ill know this weekend. Bought a RS 3 today and going to sell my Ronin S. I'll check the plate this Sunday.

only if peakdesign dual plate worked with this........
Tried my peakdesign plate with the RS4 and it doesn’t fit. Why would DJI not make their base plate the correct size to accommodate most arca Swiss?
Create problem sell a solution! Damn!
