As a DA fanboy I was pretty worried to see Ian sending the Lion against Logar... anyone who has seen Ian's rolling for the Lion in previous events should know why... Great game guys! Thanks again for sharing!
Huh, a spartan painted in imperial fist colors… my very own land raider was that way before the truth and the word covered in crimson. Killer paint job on the word bearers! Love the decal work.
thank you, auto cannons are one of those odd units. Ive had them used against me and i was blown away by how well they did as unlike lascannons they can still pen a flareshielded spartan. but when i use them they dont ever seem to perfom that way haha - Ed
@@NovemberEchoWargaming yeah I don’t disagree, maybe some melta in armourbane range? That front armour 15 with the flare shield is tough to deal with. That said the right flank with the Omega and Sabres could have used some damage too. I tend to use Melta Cannon on Contemptor…
So here's a question... Can you give a favour of the dark gods point to a unit which is actually multiple units due to independent characters? You gave a point to 3 units joined together (gal vorbak, kor pheron and lorgar)... What would have happened if you split the independent characters from the unit... Would all 3 have kept their dark god points? Should you have just selected either the unit, or 1 of the characters to receive each point?
So i cant give you a 100% approved by all correct answer but this question has come up in my gaming group and ill give you the answer we are using. If Idedendant characters join a unit then they act in all purposes as a part of that unit so we are counting them in the *buff* however, if any independent character CHOOSES to leave the unit for any reason then they lose the *buff* if the independant character is the last model surviving from a unit recieveing this *buff* but never actually left the unit then they retain the *buff*.....should they go on to join another unit they lose the *buff* as they have now become part of a totally seperate unit. hope that clarrifies how we are playing it - Ed
@@NovemberEchoWargaming Hi, I'm a WB player and thought that you could only pass the boon to the IC or Unit. The only exception is if the IC has a revenue squad (i.e. command squad or Zaru and his blade slaves) then the boon bonus apply to all individual in the unit. I like the way you play it as now Gal'Vorbaks would benefit from the boon and act as the elite body guards of the WB for their Warlord but do believe that we indeed need official clarification. Ps: Awesome game and love to see the boys in red with all the toys :)
@MassMultiThomas the thing that sold it to me to play it the way I have in this bat rep is on page 241 of the rule book, in independent characters. It says when joined to unit the independent character counts as that unit for all rules purposes
I'd say 1 lascannon squad is fine; it's the total # that is the problem. You shouldn't have more than maybe 5 lascannons per 1k points if you want to not be that guy. It's kinda like the unspoken Dreadnought rule of no more than 1 Dreadnought of any pattern per 1k points.
I thought Kor Phaeron's hatred rule for being with Lorgar lasted beyond the first round of combat. Reading the rule I can't find where it says the hatred runs out.
Hatred only ever counts on the first round of combat when you charge or are charged. After that the only way you can get it back is to either Hit and Run, or if you get charged by something else, then the rule resets for only the unit that charged in.
Great reps team- keep them coming
Love the Mhara Gal dreadnoughts! As an Alpha legion player I never leave home without one!

This is my favorite channel for Heresy. Your enthusiasm is very fun!

@@NovemberEchoWargaming that would be cool
I was worried about Mhara Gal, who was stuck in the despoiler squad, more than about Lorgar)))
that was indeed a huge dissapointment haha - Ed
That Word Bearer Champion looks amazing.
thank you very much, was fun to use more obviously chaos stuff in HH - Ed
Great battle report, thanks guys. Word Bearers needed more anti-tank IMO. Autocannons searching for 6’s doesn’t do it for me!

10 Marine lascannon squads are dirty, but the full 20 Marine Sunkiller squad is the 850pts anti-friend squad of champions.
