Thank you for watching this video on which oils are good for massaging your face with! Have you got any favourite face oils you love to massage your face with? I would love to know x
I am my early 40s; combination skin. I use jojoba oil. Works perfectly it makes my skin soft and clears imperfections well.Coconut oil and Arian oil are not the best for the face massage from my experience - it can brake your skin. You have a wonderful videos, fantastic calming voice and don’t need to ask to people to subscribe - they will follow you anyway. Hope your business goes well and I am sure your clients are happy . Best Wishes
Please note, I buy a lot of coconut oil because I always use for feet (almost every night) but it hasn't any smell and the seller explained to me that naturally this oil hasn't any smell, if it smells it's because a perfume is added. Coconut in nature hasn't any smell, are you agree ?
I use olive oil
Pomegranate seed oil is very good gentle light on skin not thick at all and also good for hair ❤️
Hello. What should i use when, literally, every type of oil i use for massage gives me acne???
Thanks for the video Abigail. Here's a navigation summary. I would recommend watching the whole video though.
Oils to use for facial massage:
1:42 - Coconut oil - could cause spots
4:46 - Olive oil - accessible, safe to use, but off putting scent
6:37 - Sunflower oil - good for all skin types including not causing spots. Accessible and scentless.
8:33 - Rosehip seed oil - less commonly found, found in beauty stores. Good for ageing skin. Abigail’s favourite.
10:22 - Argan nut oil - anti-inflammatory, good for age prevention, not a great scent - favourite for goats.
12:00 - What not to use:
Mineral oils
Baby oil
Vaseline
thank you for sharing this
Can I use Aqua cream?
I use almond oil, my father used it for many years, and he became beautifull old man without wrinkles...
I use almond oil for face massage and it leaves skin soft and silky. Olive oil was great at first but I ended up with rosacea. I also use almond oil all over body especially on my feet leaving them well moisturized and soft a big improvement from before. I LOVE almond oil
I've been using rose hip oil for years and am always getting comments that I don't look my age (60yrs). Thank you for this video.
Thanks for sharing!!
I am 61,starting using rose hip oil, only use them at night. Do you use rose hip oil at morning and night?
Where do you get that hip oil?
Iv used coconut, almond, apricot, grape seed, olive, black seed, sunflower, sesame, pumpkin seed, pomegranate seed, argan oil. Evening prim rose oil, jojoba oil, castor mustard oil mix as well.
Rosehip oil here, and I have dry skin. Works really well, I live in the desert.
Yo te descubrí en un artículo y quedé impactado, que increíble todo lo que hace.
I'm from México
I love the skincare.
I am 59 & going to purchase rosehip seed oil & follow your face massaging , thank you for giving us so much information 🇬🇧💖xx
I'm using the rosehip oil for massage morning 🌞 and at night I use argan oil , I love both of the oils 😊
I use olive oil, but add some lavender essential oil to it for a nice smell.
I’m using Argan oil and I have normal skin type. Im loving your channel 🥰
I”m very much enjoying these videos and learning so much! I have found good face massage also keeps lymph moving and sinuses clear! I wanted to note because it was such a large experience for me, that I used to use either olive oil and castor oil or coconut oil and castor oil on my face. One effect was that even on a lake, i didn’t get any burn on my face! I think it was the castor. But I also ended up with a LOT of skin discoloration and a woman who made skin oils told me that coconut oil would do that. I only use coconut oil as a hot oil treatment on my hair now, which is great, and most of the skin discoloration is gone. I had success before with a creme that had Esther C in it so I’m going to find that again. My sister uses castor oil to clean and moisturize her face and it is working well for her. Thank you again Abigail and also to others sharing their experiences. It is helpful!
thank you for sharing, it sounds like you had some pigmentation come up from being in the sun. Some skins are more prone to this than others and it can come and go each year when you are in and out of the sun. Some pigment issues are connected to hormones and the birth-control pill. Vit C is a good ingredient to add int your routine. x
Thank you very much for your reply ..Abigail.
Hi, I love your massage tutorial, I’m following for more than a year, god bless you, from Miami USA
I love using jojoba oil. I have oily skin and using jojoba after cleansing in the evening leaves my skin feeling great
Aging, sensitive skin here. I’ve been using Squalane and recently added Castor Oil, benefit especially to massage into the eyebrows and hair line.
Thank you for this video. I currently use Olive Oil., but hope to try the others and see how it goes
Thanks for this great video, I am using Jojoba oil and loving it, it has no scent and absorbs well.
I was using coconut oil and while I loved the feeling of it it BROKE ME OUT like crazy eventually. It made my rosacea worse. I couldn't figure it out until someone told me about comedogenic ratings of oils (the higher the rating the more likely it will clog your pores). When I looked it up it had a high rating. I was so bummed.
I found that hazelnut oil is fantastic.. i even like putting it in my hair like a hair mask as well. Also! My go to for a facial oil is HEMP oil. I feel like it healed my irritated skin. I told my dermatologist about it and she told me to keep using it.
Now I'm looking at comedogenic ratings for everything. It TOTALLY changed the game for me
For reference, as I said before I have rosacea that is now mostly under control and I tend to have very dry skin. The hemp oil somehow leveled my skin and its not dry anymore. I leave a little bit on my face when I go to bed. I'm cysitc acne prone as well.
Thanks for your videos. Love your accent 🙂
thanks for sharing that, really helpful to share personal experiences. Rosacea is one skin condition you really need to be careful with oils, a lot can increase inflammation, the lighter the texture the better x
Your comment I would have thought would help so many people🙂
Isn’t hazelnut oil drying for the skin?
Coconut oil is highly comodogenic
Very informative & appreciated
Fantastic!!! Love yr invaluable advice!
thanks !
I use Australian jojoba oil for facial massage and it’s incredible!
I used 🥥🥥 oil for ages! ❤️🌹🌹
Thank you so much! Love your face lifting massage! I have dry skin, and currently living in Texan humid climate my skin and hair enjoy it. Have been using and love jojoba oil for face massage: I love that it gets into the skin, and doesn’t leave it greasy. Otherwise, I used to live in Finland, where most of the year is super dry, and coconut oil is fantastic! What I don’t like is that coconut oil is very greasy, leaving spots on clothes, and takes very long time to get into the skin.
thank you for sharing, great that your tailoring your oil to your environment
Thank you for the new video. Love watching you speak 😍 I don't mind smelling like salad - so I would usually use olive oil with a drop of cosmetic oil blend (rosehip or rose etc) for face massage (my skin is oily on the nose, quite dry elsewhere).
Υπέροχες ασκήσεις. Ευχαριστούμε.
Thanks a lot.
I have combination skin, not prone to acne and I tried the coconut oil and it made my skin break, since I had bought it already, in use it on my hair which is dry. I like it.
I’ve used rosehip oil and love it.
Use the coconut oil on all other parts of your body and yes to hair! Great your getting on with rosehip oil x
I use a mix of almond oil, coconut oil and rosehip oil, I'm 48 years old, aging and large pure skin. I have seen great improvement on the skin texture when I was using it daily!
which almond oil you use
Hi Abigail! Thanks! I love your way to explain all about our skin. You're so clear and simple, and absolutely kind.
I'm from Argentine, and naow I,m using sesame oil, it's smell wonderful and leaves my face so comfortable, by the way, I've dry skin
thank you for sharing
Thank you very much for this useful video, dear Abigail!
thank you ...i also infused dry calendula flowers in sunflower oil for 3 weeks and that's the oil i massage with. thank you for recommending the natural oils. 😊
ohh that sounds lovely
I agree with you about coconut oil few months ago i was using it , i have oily skin and it caused me some pimples
I sometimes use almond oil very slippery but I will try rose hip seed oil
Coconut oil works for me :)
Very useful tips Abigail x
thank you x
Hello, Abigail! I use castor oil. I know that it is quite thick and doesn't smell great but I use it on my face while in the shower before I go to bed at night. I started using it because castor oil has many benefits. Apparently, it promotes eye lash growth and I find it has. As a child, I contracted chickenpox and had a pox scar on my eye. Since I started using castor oil, I find that my lashes have gotten longer, thicker and I started having eyelash growth where I had the scar. I also use coconut as well as vitamin E oil. I love your videos and thanks!
I have used castor oil as well and considering how thick it is, and the fact I have combination skin, it worked beautifully. My skin always looks amazing the morning after using it.
Thank you for making this informative vid
Coconut oil is high in the comodogenic scale. Causes lots of breakouts for many people
You're simply wonderful person
I mostly use a mixture of oils (coconut, karité, almond, and some drops of lemon essential oil).
Hello @Abigail James , Could you please create a video about face message to alleviate frown wrinkles? I am 25, I have frown wrinkles between eyebrows and an elevation of the skin above my left brow. I would really grateful for a video with your wonderful instructions on this. Thank you!
I love avocado oil and grapeseed oil
Thank Abigail for sharing your knowledge! You should have more subscribers :)
I think I love sunflower oil over all thank you for ur tips 🥰🌻
Thanks. It’s a great information I have been looking for.
I use virgin coconut oil. In Srilanka.
I love your videos - so helpful for quality time for my face ! Thank you for sharing this one.🧡
Glad you like them!
you skin is so amazing, thanks for the video ! Your hair is absolutely beautiful , you look radiant and happy ! Vancouver Canada
Thank you so much!!
Hi I’m 51. I’ve got dry skin now! I love oils. I use Rosehip and jojoba oil on my face and sweet almond oil on body! Coconut oil is fantastic for nails, especially damaged nails from gel etc. Will never go back!
Thanks for sharing!!
Amazing! I always wondered that! :)
Ohhh I love your way of talking your accent as well love you
Mine is currently Jojoba oil. Thanks for this advice Abigail - really helpful as always
But tempted to try Rosehip seed oil as I'm heading towards 51
Jojoba is a great oil! Have you tried sea buckthorn? It’s another fav of mine
Thank you for this topic Abigail. I am subscribing and clicking on the bell for more!
thank you !
I've been doing your face massage videos for several months and I love them! I've started doing them with argan oil recently, but before the launch of this video, so I'm glad for my choice of oil. Thanks so much! Please, keep these videos coming.
Im planning some more massage videos soon and hopefully an online course. thank you for following x
I'm seeing great results with jojoba oil. Even at 72, I still have alot of sebum clogging the pores on my chin. Jojoba is great for massage and cleansing. I also use clarified butter! Just for massage and then quickly cleansing so I don't smell like theatre popcorn!
Oh wow! I’ve not heard of clarified butter for face massage before!
I just purchased your book and Rose-hip oil. I loved the rose hip oil in the pas for face moisture. It was one of the expensive one. Worked best for my combination skin. No pimples. But it was very little and it finished 30 days. Disappointing. Thank you enjoy your tips
Ohhh I hope you enjoy my book x
The ordinary brand is good and super cheap. Sephora and Ulta have a huge line
Yaye! easy affordable!!!
Hi Abigail, I am 62, and my skin is very dry. I have lines around my mouth, sagging jowls, some lines on the forehead. I started to use carrier oils in 2018. Coconut oil leaves a silky effect, and is very easy to apply. I also use argan oil, jojoba oil, and rose-hip oil which is more for mature skin. They are all good anyway. I used to mix them with essential oils like orange, peppermint or ylang Ylang. When I found your videos I changed my simple massages for those you showed using coconut oil. I have been following your treatment combined with others experts ideas for six months. I do it every day , twice a day, one is more intense. I must say that my face looks healthier, firmer, and silky, especially the neck. Thanks to you I am taking skincare seriously, and I believe I am not so late, am I?
Thats so great to hear, its never too late, I see it as rejuvenating but also essential self care
Abigail James yes, I wanted to rejuvenate my face but it is kinda difficult after 60 when the wrinkles are already there. At least I notice a thinner and shiny skin now. I spent a lot of money in creams with zero results, the oil massage is working for me and it is free as you say. Thanks for replying!
This was such a helpful video, Abigail. Your videos have changed my skin's life and I want to thank you for sharing your knowledge, passion and wisdom in caring for the skin. I love your massage videos and product recommendations. I also recently bought your book and am devouring it. Thank you!
Ah amazing thank you ! I have a new relaxing self-care massage posting on boxing day that you might also enjoy
A face massage sounds great right about now lol :) Thanks for the great suggestions... Coconut oil is my personal favorite!
It's so good!
Coconut oil has caused hell lot of pores on my face....I did a research in it and found it is high in comedogenic property..and I was like why nobody mentions it....
I'd love if you could create a poster of facial massage techniques. I always want to use my phone but don't like fiddling around with it and having oil on my hands! Would also be a great reminder to do the massage as it would be up in my bathroom all the time :) Just an idea!
yeeees! :) and when they put all these ads in the videos and you have to press around with oily fingers, just lovely :D
Thank you so so much for this useful information
I use an avocado oil,it is -the best for anti aged and dry skin. Also I use a clarified oil, wheat gem oil , argan oil, sesame as well.
I almost included avocado oil in this video, I love it for dry skins. you have a great line up of oils your using. have you tried any you dont like?
@@AbigailJames1 is avocado oil good for Rosacea? I bought one oine & it smells awful :(
@@AbigailJames1 what r the benefits of wheat gem nd clarified oils???
I use rosehip oil or grape seed oil and they both break out my skin but I kind of don't mind because the massage is good. I will try jojoba oil next to see if that's better regarding breakouts
also have a look at squalane oil
Thanks mam
I have dry skin and swear by rosehip oil. It makes my skin look great in the morning if I use it the night before. I tried Argan oil but it felt much heavier and didn’t sink in as quickly.
Thank you for the insightful video. I would love your advice on what to do, my skin pores are so open and its causing me alot of blackheads. What can i do to natrually or at home tighten my pores. (Unfortunately at work the heater is on and for lack of authority I am forced to make best of the situation.)
Thanks for all this great info about natural skin care. I'm 57 and since becoming vegan 3 years ago and noticed drastic aging😣. I found your channel and started doing the massages and just being more diligent in my skincare routine and it has definitely helped. I had just bought rosehip seed oil and started using it a few weeks ago. Really love it along with Argan Oil. One question I have is when doing the oil cleansing method I feel like I am done up with an oily face after even after wiping off multiple times? The recipe I have calls for mostly coconut oil with a little castor oil. It feels like the castor oil that doesn't want to come off. Any suggestions? Is it okay to just use coconut oil? I'm also about to make calendula oil with avocado oil and calendula that I have grown. Excited about that. Thanks again and be well.
caster oil is super thick, so yes probably the culprit, the calendula and avocado sounds like a lovely blend x
I love using grapeseed oil and olive oil.
thats great, what type of skin do you have?
I was wondering about grape seed oil....
@@AbigailJames1 mam my skin dry, so what types of oil use my face skin?plz tell me..
I usually use rose hip and argan oil together with rose wood essential oil and helichryse essential oil and it workes geatfully for my face.satisfied.send u my lov frm Algeria

Very informative video, thank you. Could you do a video on how to get rid of hyperpigmentation please?
yes, its been on my to do list for a long time, its such a complex topic!
Thank you!
Can you mix oils?
Coconut oil is very cooling and good for warm weather.
I used olive oil but I felt that my skin got darker, I have an oily skin
I am new in your channel ...i'm subscribing .... thank you for sharing this with us .... and for me i use olive oil. 👍😊
Can we also use moisturizer?
Looking great, dear Abigail! I have been following for a while, when I do my face massage I always seek out your "no talking facial massage video" of yours and follow along :)
Ad oils: I come from the South, Mediterranean, so olive oils has been used for generations by the ladies, my grandma, ma, aunts, even men used it as sun protection of sorts back in the day.
Coconut oil is a wonderful thing, I love it and use it for everything, from cooking to intimate creme of sorts, it has all these beneficial properties.
However, if I use it on my face too much, I tend to break out, and not these "normal" acne one gets pre period or such, rather what I would call hormonal acne (even at my age, and I am 48), deep, bumpy, red, swollen :/ So I had to find something, besides olive oil, to use for massages. After having done lots of research, I settled with Grape Seed Oil, my skin likes that one, but I did implement a little trick ;)
Had dried Juniper Berries in the kitchen, it occured to me that it could be a great natural product to use, research says:
"Juniper berries have antibacterial, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. These properties help in the fight against acne and breakouts. They also help balance the sebum production in the skin by reducing excess oil production. This reduces the clogging and blocking of pores which can cause acne and breakouts."
For anyone with a skin type like mine, looking for tips: take a clean glas/jar, use your favorite oil, put Juniper berries inside, leave it for some weeks, shaking it to mix the ingredients once in a while. Use for massage and enjoy the benefits of this wonderful, dried, miracle berry.
thank you for sharing
Hi Abigail. Thanks for your video. How do you rinse off after massaging? Cleansers are harsh on my face so I use Eva soap. Is this ok?
I’m using collagen
HI, any recommendation mixing essential oil for lymphatic face massage
Thanks for the information. What about vitamin E oil? I want to know your opinion about it please
Hey abigail i love watching your videos all binge watching 😊❤️ It's really therapeutic...also currently I'm using jojoba oil for my acne skin with open pores...It's working
Can i mix grapeseed with jojoba ??
❤️❤️❤️
thanks for following, yes you can blend those x
I use a shea butter and coconut oil mixture. I am 71 and it seems to work well. What are your thoughts about shea oil? And I don't believe you mentioned avocado oil. Thanks so much. I love all your videos and useful tips.
Sharon Brooks Shea butter is great, really nourishing as is avocado. I’m guessing you have drier skin?
Please tell us which oil for what type of face dry, oily or combination
Are there different grades of rise hip seed oil and argon oil? Which do you recommend for both?
Thank you so much abigail... I luv ur voice... It's soooo therapeutic... And I luv how u look... Natural and glowing.
If you don't mind... May I plz know ur age, not out of any curiosity but because I'm 49 and am wondering if your tips will help younger skins...
I have really worked on my skin and I look 30-35 .... Would appreciate if you could disclose.. That just gives more inspiration
Im 45 this year, more massage vidoes coming soon
Thank you so muchAbigail for those tips, very helpful. I wonder if grape seed oil and almond oil would be good to use too🙏🏼❤️
Yes, definitely
@@AbigailJames1 thank you for your reply, And thank you for what you do for us. Very kind of you 🌸🌸🌸
Thanks for the information! I love your videos! I have been using only oils on my face for about 7 years. I have used mainly argan and jojoba and now I am using pomegranate seeds oil, very thick but lovely! I also add pure essential oils to my ritual, dilluted in fractionated (liquid) coconut oil. It's said to be non-comedogenic if it's in this fractionated form. I was thinking about adding a tiny bit of vitamin A and E in them as well...what do you think? I use your massage techniques, thank you for the time you invest in the videos! ❤️🤗🌹🌹🌹
ohhh that all sounds amazing, adding Vit A and E will definitely give them a boost. both essential antioxidants for skin health and the ageing process. the base oils you are using will all have their own unique blend of vitamins as well, so its all a great base to work with x
Thank you, Abigail! 🌹🤗 I'm 42 and going younger! 😍😉
My husband and I use rosehip seed oil(were in our mid- late 50s ;)
That’s great! I’ve had rosehip oil in my cupboard for years. Have you tried any others?
@@AbigailJames1 You didn't share what you use ?
Hi where can I get rosehip seed oil
Just DISCOVERED your CHANNEL TONIGHT [ MIAMI, FL ] LIKE it a lot....MAIN ISSUE > EYE PUFFYNESS ...best regards !!!
Dear Abigail, hello from Athens Greece. Congratulations for your talent and for your positive energy you are radiating! Please excuse my late question...I have a mixed skin type with a tendency for small breakouts. I try to avoid oils but I want to start including them in my night massage Abigail routine :) Is Chestnut oil a good option to start with? Thanking you in advance! Anna
Hi Anna, thank you for your comments, I havnt tried chestnut oil before! if you have a tendency to breakouts, I would look at squalane, safflower and jojobo. but let me know how you get on with chestnut oil!
Hai abigail..i hope you can share how to get rids of milia seed and darksport on the face..i have to face this problem😅..btw, i love your chanel🥰😘
When my son has an eczema break out on his hands(cracked and bleeding) I slather coconut oil on him and it's much much better the next day and gone in 2 or 3 days. All my children joke that I say coconut oil cures all things but it really is great. I use it on my face to loosen blackheads when I have that problem and I use rosehip seed oil for everythimg else which I love.
I do love a bit of coconut oil x
Thanks Abigail! So happy I discovered you! Have now watched a few of your UA-cam Videos and find them Amazing and so helpful! I use Rosehip Oil and find it very gentle for my sensitive mature skin. Look forward to learning more from you.
Hi Abigail, Thank you for sharing with us your knowledge. I appreciate it, especially the face message tutorials. You haven't mentioned tea tree oil though. What do you think of it? Thank you
tea tree I would generally not use to massage with, its more antibacterial
i love your videos! can i use spray magnesium oil?
so thats probably going to be a little sticky and it can be itchy. so keep that for the body
Hi Abigale, I love your videos and have recently got into doing the various face lifting massages, face yoga moves and lymphatic drainage. I’ve been using organic sesame oil. I have had horrendous acne in past (2 years ago) but skin been really good recently. The past two weeks of following the videos my skin honestly has never looked better and then suddenly 2 days ago my face has erupted especially in the T-zone. It feels tight and painful. I wonder if you may have any advice what to do and why it was so good and then not...I have been doing the massage for bad jaw and head tensions (helped so much). Reluctant to put more oil on and make it worse, or even touch the skin. I would be so grateful if you could let me know what to do/what to avoid xxx
Hi Virginia, I know your message was a few months ago, I hope your skin has calmed down. I would generally suggest gently washing the oil off if your acne prone. there can be some many other things at play when the skin suddenly plays up. Hormones, stress, medication, diet etc etc
Hello ma'am , i'm 20 and i want even skin tone so can i go for rose hip oil ? But someone suggested wheat germ oil . I want to knos from your side? Also i'm from india . Please suggest me a oil keeping indian skin on mind. You are awsm , i really find your videos helpful! ❤️
thanks for the video
