Update regarding video description and comments down bellow: There are MANY fps related bugs in this title, some even when game is running only above 30 frames per second. Check Spyro's page on PC Gaming Wiki for more info. In my case after many tests with diffrent setups and settings (V-sync on, V-sync off, G-Sync + V-sync, G-Sync + Vsync off, External fps limiters, in-game fps limiter, windowed mode, fullscreen , fullscreen optimizations on and off, pre-rendered frames, latency modes, keyboard, controller etc) , Spyro ALWAYS slides when game is reaching more than 120 fps.
Still waiting patiently for them to patch this. I've been waiting for this to release for a year on PC....but not too keen on buying a game with broken physics/questionable save issues.
@@anamethat Man I feel you, I check everyday for updates on steam and reddit but the thing that they stopped beta testing 4 months ago really puts my hopes down
@@anonymus277 Capping it at 120 will stop spyro from sliding but will not fix physics. An example could be found on the video I've posted on my channel
@@mcaldex i saw that, and that movent is a default, so it is not caused by physics, it is that way, the sliding is what can cause bad experience, but again, with my 120fps i can play it normally
@@d.ryan96 the devs tied physics to framerate instead of time. so the game bugs at above 30fps, but its bug free if you limit it to 60 in rivatuner and set it to 120 or unlimited in game. setting the game to 60fps without rivatuner causes physics bugs Hope they fix it :/ but they probably wont, who knows maybe theres a mod that fixes this. havent played the game in like 3 months. A lot of games have this type of system and it usually gives better performance and less stutters at the cost of a limited framerate MgsV, Skyrim and Dark Souls 3 as examples, all those games will bug if you run at anything above 60fps. at least it doesnt run forced 30fps like on console
Use an fps limit of either 30 or "Unlimited". Any other limit is broken and causes these glitches, apparently. If you don't want unlimited frames, you can either use Vsync or Nvidia/RivaTuner to cap your fps outside of the game.
@@Thornskade Interesting. Were you using vsync or gsync? In my case spyro still bugs out at +120 fps even with unlimited fps setting or external limiters.
@@d.ryan96 No, I disable Vsync in every game because I hate it. I was playing in fullscreen exclusive mode, unlimited framerate like I do in every game if possible.

Only way to play this without any bug/glitch is to set the fps cap down to 30 for now :( I'm really sad, let's hope for a quick patch

@@mcaldex i am just saying, on 120 fps you still can get a normal gameplay without broken physics, no need to set it 144

i remember fixing this by setting it to 60fps in rivatuner and limit to 120fps or unlimited in game
So basically 60 fps limit with unnecessary extra steps. Wouldn't call it a fix.

If I set my refresh rate to 120hz, then play the game at "Unlimited" with VSync on, will that eliminate most of the FPS issues all at once?
Yeah, but if you are running freesync/g-sync screen capable of higher refresh rates, use the highest refresh rate available and 120 fps lock instead.
Is there any way to fix this? Was planning on buying the game, but after seeing this, maybe not :/
V sync

@Zyzics Yeah no. I play at close to 200 fps and I don't get this problem.
