No parking mode when wired into the mirror like this. You will have to buy a separate cable and run it to the fuse box. It's a nice looking oem style camera but I think you're probably better off with a Blackvue unless you don't need parking mode
hi mate which fitcam x model for X3 G01 have you picked. In mine am not having any speed limit camera option. So its a plain one so should i select model A, B or C? Any help appreciated
Hi, I think it's regional specific. I think mine was the A one. When you order, at least directly through them, they will ask for a picture to verify you picked the right one.
If you want the camera to turn off when you get out of a BMW push and hold the radio button for 2 seconds. This will shutdown all electronics inside of the car. Question - do you think its worth it over a blackvue camera?
All good, it shuts down about 6 minutes after I leave the car anyway. And I would say so... because it's completely seamless with the car, no wires or nothing and you don't even know it's there which I like a lot.
There is no better then Blackvue. But Blackvue also offers many more features that this doesn't. This is for someone that wants a simple dash cam with OEM integration. This is in no way comparable to even the lowest model from Blackvue. Also the OP updated with another video that his camera stopped working after only a month. There's also several comments from others with failures as well. Not looking good.
@@MSWeaponsChannel I REALLY like the fact that I don't see it. That is huge for me. I don't understand why you think "This is in no way comparable to even the lowest model from Blackvue". It's a camera. You just need footage. You can argue quality of the footage, but I don't need anything better than this. Also, I'm pretty sure the algorithm linked to the next video but it's a good call and I now forced it to do so. There's bound to be failures with everything. I'm sure you can find many instances of Blackvue cams failing too. I've been very happy with my FItCamX other than the fact that the first one failed, but it's been working fine since and their customer service was some of the best I've dealt with in quite a while.
@@BoughtMeAnX3 BlackVue makes some of the best dashcams in the world. But my comments are based on the features offered. And this camera ain’t even close. But as I said, BlackVue cameras are for the people that need advanced features. If a basic cam is all you need then a BlackVue wouldn’t be justified. And yes on occasion Blackvue’s fail as well. But there are at least two people in your thread that have reported like failures to you. So that appears to be getting to a high failure rate.
From what I can tell, it keeps recording for about 20 min after you turn off the car but I don't think there is a way to keep it going always as the power is cut off then and it would drain the battery if left on I would think. But it automatically starts up again when the car is turned on.
Nope, and didn't have an option from the factory to have one as an option. Which I thought was odd because there "is" a front camera, but is only there to monitor the Speed Limit signs and maybe some other sensory function but doesn't work as a real camera or dashcam.
@@vivekgopinathan6960 That's why I like this one, it blends in nicely and you can't tell it's not OEM. Crazy to me why in 2022 not all models have a dash cam standard, you think it would be.
@@BoughtMeAnX3 Because no one else but Tesla is innovative enough to offer such. all other car companies only do the bare minimum with innovation. And that's why Tesla is taking more and more of their market share.
You really should link to your update video on this. People need to know this failed after only a month. And it is likely your replacement will fail as well. You would probably do better requesting a refund before the warranty period expires.
Dude, it's like you work for Blackvue or something... I don't see how you can be so quick to bash this. Yes it failed after one month, but quickly got a replacement from the company and it's been working 100% ever since. I really like this and don't want any other. I seriously doubt that my "replacement will fail as well" if it hasn't by this point.
@@BoughtMeAnX3 Well I use Blackvue systems so I know their quality and features. comparing features this camera isn't even close. However and to be clear, I'm also going to be purchasing this system and mostly due to your vid. But if it goes down at any point in the first year I will be requesting a refund. The reason I say this product will likley go down again is because all of these shipped straight from China companies are all the same. They release sub standard products that often last only a few months or up to about the first year and out of warranty. Most of these companies force you to pay exorbitant shipping fees to return to the point that most people simply won't bother. At least most of such companies products are priced usually in the less than 100 price range so no big loss for the trouble. But this product is well over 200 and worth it if it last. To this point their service has been good for you but if it goes down again beyond the year warranty then it isn't worth it. just be sure to update again if it does.
I was really thinking about getting one of these, but seeing the footage, I just can’t. I need to be able to read plates from 5-6 car lengths back. Guess I’ll stick with the factory Drive Recorder for now.
@@MikeL-FL FYI you’re not going to be reading plates 5-6 car lengths away from any system. Especially in motion. And nothing is truly 4K. But you can certainly do worlds better then this for the price.
Man this footage is hideous :( The clean installation kinda makes up for it and it's better than nothing but the Viofo A139 pro I installed in my wife's car is night and day higher quality. I have the Vantrue N4 Pro 3 channel cam on the way for my X3M. Expensive but from all the reviews, it's the best with the A139 pro coming a somewhat close second.

Did you leave the lens cover sticky on? Kinda looked like you did.
I took it off after I installed it.

Can this camera record loop footage while parked with just the install with the overhead wire harnesses?

If you lock your car it stops recording. If you leave your car unlocked it keeps recording
I’m curious as if this dash cam records sound. My Garmin records sound, speed, time etc.
You can set it up so it does, but I turned it off.
Thanks for the info
Can you share the link to purchase this?
