this was an awesome tutorial. is there a way to ONLY have certain genres of games? for instance, i am looking for 1 cabinet to ONLY be fighting games. 1 cabinet to ONLY be beat-em-ups, etc. & wont play most of the console games (if ever)
@@ThePsychoticCircusofSavannah yes. It’s pretty simple. You can easily create a folder in the settings. Choose beat em ups to be in a specific folder. It’ll automatically create the folder with all of them. Hide the rest of the folders and you’ll never see them again. 👍
Quick question, I ordered a Street Fighter deluxe cabinet from arcade 1. I know the joystick panel is a lot smaller and the panel in the front protrudes out now. Have you guys done one with this option before? Concerned with the new button install. Also, Is it still considered a gen 2 when I order the kit? Thank you guys.
Absolutely fantastic, got it put and put it together..was a breeze save for my screws adding an extra 30 min to come off and not strip. Worth the price to not get batocera virus drives lmao!Thanks again showtime guy! question though. I know how to turn it off via the menu but how do you turn it on? By way of the power strip? hoping not to fry it.. thanks.
Happy to hear it was a breeze. To turn it off safely, press the select button from the main screen and choose “shut down.” You still need to flip the power switch off of the strip. To turn back on you simply turn the switch on the strip.

Is there a kit for the yoga flame street fighter cabinet? Especially for the front panel with the pre drilled holes. I see it’s black and the yoga flame is cement color with the arcade logo. Thanks

@@Mandoscoffeex7-21 to add a game to favorites you have to highlight a game. Then press and hold the action button until a menu pops up. Then choose add to favorites. The same to remove a game from favorites.

@@grgmj1980 we currently sell 3 different sizes depending on your arcade. However, the deluxe does not have that panel due to the design being different. Regardless, you can easily do it without the J panel and you don’t even have to drill. Message the team and they’ll guide you on how simple it is. Go to the website and send a message.
@@sucodecupuacu the inlet switch allows you to use your factory a1up on/off switch so you won’t have to put the surge protector in the back. We recently did a video on the street fighter deluxe where we used the inlet switch.
So where do I get the pack and games to do this mod I have a gen 1 street fighter and gen 1 mortal combat both with light up marquee. Great video I do think I could do this with your video to follow just need where to get the parts etc thanks
@@japyoo2248 no this is the easiest Method. You have to swap the buttons. Joysticks and buttons connect to an encoder and the encoder has a usb to plug into the raspberry pi. The factory encoder doesn’t have a usb.
@@kresa2008 that’s our next project but it’s exactly the same. Plug in the hdmi and power supply. That’s really it. It boots up the same. We also have a demo sample of the mini pc on the website under the “instructional videos” page
@showtimegaming101 hey I just noticed on the website there is no kit for the buttons and parts to buy( alone) without buying the raspberry pi. Can you tell them to( add a kit with the pc) or just the buttons and wire connections needed) to work with pc !?
@@kresa2008 hi there is. When you select the 2 or 4 player kit you have to choose the upgraded option for mini pc. It replaces the raspberry pi. Contact the team through the help center and they’ll help you locate this if you can’t find it.
It comes 8-way and if you’d like you can switch it to 4-way. You can also add wireless controllers that will have both a d-pad and analog stick so there are many options.

Question, I also have the legacy edition but it's the non marquis light up and no riser version. Anyone kno what the measurement of that predrilled panel area would be? I swear I'm not too lazy to measure😂 just out of the country for a few more days...just would like to order this now. Lol help showtime guy... And as always fantastic tutorials this will be a breeze😅

@@astrovewlix that’s so far from the truth. Nothing against the soft mod, but soft mod is far less powerful and capable. This cab can’t be soft modded anyways as some a1ups are not android and even then not all have a software for.
Moddin these units require alot of thought cause u r completely replacing d arcade1up engine & transmission which is very easy to swap out but very costly. Anyone who has the money n knowledge to do this might as well go the extra mile. It wont cost much again to rebuild a bigger shell to fit 2 players comfortably with a better monitor n do own custom graphics. D biggest cost was d engine n tranny swap.
The biggest problem, as to why people choose the arcade1up machines, is because of space and weight. You just can't beat an arcade1up if space and weight are a factor. Most people just are not going to deal with that. This is why arcade1up is so popular👍💯

@@pesto12601 Sinden light guns. Plugs into pi or mini pc with a usb. It’s that easy. You won’t even need sensors around the monitor.

Why hard mod when the chipsets in many of these cabs (1) have better specs than Pi4 or 5, and (2) can be soft modded?
