    Thanks Peanut for doing these tests again. Like you said, it appears the developers have made the workers more productive.
    I can add that the price to hire works (on the same field for the same task) fluctuates daily just like everything else in the game so you can increase your profit buy hiring when their prices are low.

    It is actually better to hire workers because of the time saved, the cost of the fuel used, etc. Imagine having a wheat field you want to harvest. You'd have to take the harvester to the field, then come back and get the baler and wagon or have another tractor bring that down if you wanted the hay. This way you can have the worker harvest and you just need to bring the baler/wagon since the worker won't do that for you. (Grass is actually better since it sells better and the cows give more milk). I prefer to have had workers fertilize the fields then come behind and spread manure or Fert-X over it to increase the yield.

      Also depends on the play style you are looking for.......some might want to do all the work themselves. If the field is far away I would hire a worker and do some social jobs to earn the cash and social points.....that's what I did in the first few seasons.

      all of these things are great to know, thanks, part of what I love about that game. Things grow and change with how I play it. I was told once that I had what my genious boss called Pretzel Logic, I don't take the same route as every one else does. But I seem to get to the same or a better answer than many. So I try to enjoy the trip, although it may confuse some.

    Thanks for the tests Peanut, It is so refreshing for the Devs NOT to be punishing us if we get someone else to do it for us - well done!!

      Well the Devs could always patch things.....like last patch the did lessen the yield when harvesting to fast lol.

    It’s good to know that hiring workers is worth the price. I’ve been playing it cheap and doing it all myself lol. Thanks for the video.

    Thanks for this information. It’s huge that a worker pays for his own supplies, uses his own equipment, and costs equal to or less than if we’d done the work ourselves, makes more on a harvest, and saves us all that time. I wonder if that’ll be changed later, to where it’s always cheaper to do the work ourselves.

      If they make it so that it is always more profitable to do it yourself that would spoil it. For me the point is it is the same job doing the same thing so unless you somehow do it a lot quicker thereby making it sooner you get to your next job it would seem wrong if you could get 2 different prices for the same thing. If you missed lots or something then, yes, expect a different price. Aside from the cost of the workers wages if you get the same amount of product, down to exactly the same grain, then you should get the same price. Otherwise it is the game intentionally making things different to "force" you to do everything yourself. :~) The ONLY thing it should save you is time.

      @@pegasusted2504 VERY WELL SAID Ted! On the whole the recent changes the Devs have made have been VERY GOOD, APART I think, to the "BALE" prices and the very slow and low "Daily" sale price rates. For example, on my map on 22 Jun the income for 39 bales was 1105 and I thought I would wait for a better price (what a fool I was)! Now at 7 Jul it has continually gone DOWN daily to 807 for 39 bales, (which I think because we used to be able to get around 3000 for 39 bales, the Devs have over-reacted and lowered the price too much). For 1105 for 39 bales I would rather plow it in and save time, because anything below 1500 for 39 bales is simply not worth the time or the effort to collect and sell them - have you or Peanut noticed this yet??

      @@colinlongstaff I only got this the other day lol so it seems I missed the golden bale days when you could collect rumplestiltskins leftovers ;~) I understand what you say about it being time consuming for little profit but isn't that how it is in real life? I have a question you may be able to answer. When I did most of my farm, ie fixed up the buildings, after watching some videos, since I am new to this and I hate wasting time, I decided to do some chickens. I then find I can only buy 20 chickens when there are 60 pidgeon holes for them to sit in in their house. I went to go buy more chickens to fill these spaces and can't. I also noticed a rooster which I assume, as I haven't got there yet, that he will fertilise the eggs. If he does fertilise the eggs are the other 40 spaces available for any chicks that hatch or is the maximum I can have 20? It is a little confusing, kind of like having a 10 acre field that you can only work a 3rd of.

      @@pegasusted2504 Hi Ted, Nice of you to reply to my comments. 1. Regarding the Bales, you used to get about 3000 Euros for the 39 bales, but as normal people were bragging out loud on the tube how much they were making from the sale of the bales, then BANG the Devs subsequently REDUCED the price you got for the 39 bales to what it is now, but I think they over-reacted and lowered it too much 875 for 39 bales and having to wait over 10 days for the price to go over 1000 is not worth your while - I just plow it in (I know what you say about life being time consuming with little profit - but, as I always say this is a GAME designed to relax you not a REAL LIFE Struggle!! 2. Regarding the chickens - yes you can only get the 20 and only 9 cows I wish you could get more but the game will not allow it. 3. Regarding the Rooster I got one and was notified on screen that the Rooster had fertilized 3 or 4 eggs to chicks which were then sold by the game and credited to me, but I have NOT seen this happen again after the first fertilization. Hope this helps you - anything else you just got to ask!! Colin

    Thank you very much for doing tests. One thing could change the result of the harvest. Since prices go up and down you could store the harvest and maybe sell it at a better price later and thus get a better result than the worker. I am not sure, but perhaps it could be like that.

    • @sillysally426
      @sillysally426 4 роки тому

      true, but that's why u have silos and grain storage, at some time you gotta just sell it. my crystal ball isn't very good at this, so since I own 31 fields, I just sell it.

    • @peanut1

      Like Sally said when you own a lot of fields the yield is to high to store it in the silos but this was a test so all equations are the same.

    I was playing today and im on my first season and first fields, and i was watching both the seeding and fertilizing numbers as i did it, and in both cases, if i went over an area that had been done, the numbers didnt drop. in other words, at least in seeding, the field will only hold X amount of seed, and in my case none was lost or dropped on the parts that had seed on it.

    is there any page i can check the available equipment list? I'm kind of interested in this game but every youtuber i have seen seems to be using the same equipment. It feels like there's not alot to expand agricultural business wise. All the fields look extremely small too. Am i missing something?

    • @peanut1

      Not much equipment to choose from. The fields are small in a sense but so is the equipment which means it can take awhile to work on a field. This is a more slow paced game to Farm Sim.

    Where can I find the best time to sow and sell crops?

    • @peanut1
      @peanut1  4 роки тому +1

      For sure you always want to sow crop, winter canola, in September. When April comes they will be ready for harvest and should be a bumper crop. If you replant in April crops usually take 2 months, so harvest in June and resow again. Then harvest in August which gives you time to start the process over again in September. As for best time to sell crops you might have to sell them right away if you don't have enough silo storage but prices do change daily but I have not figured out best time to sell.....I just sell. :)
