Well, we made that money. We made some pretty good money actually. As we had managed to get around 24k up in Euros, I ended up buying the new plowing with a burning passion. I wanted to buy the new hay trailer but...it doesn't quite work with the old tractor for some reason...the new GRAIN trailer does though, we just need to make a bunch of money to buy it...around 8k more than we have. No big deal though, because today it's time to plow, cultivate, seed, and harvest our first real crops that WE went through the trouble of preparing. It's gonna be barley for days boys, along with all of the delicious hay (straw) that comes along with it. Oh...but what's this...with the tap of a key, we get to break the game slightly and seed at MAXIMUM SPEED. It's like supercharged seeding, it's awesome.

That’s a moldboard plow, referred to by the number of shares across it, so each of the flat red things would be one “bottom” a tractor like that would likely struggle with 2-14s or 2 14” long shares (two bottom plow) whereas standard, at least here in the Midwest (honestly no one really uses moldboard plows anymore here) would be like 6-18s. Just thought I’d share what knowledge I have growing up in a farm family. Why I’m watching virtual farm videos after all that I don’t know, but I enjoy your videos so here I am
Hey! - remember that old tractor was once a Godsend to 1000's farmers all over the world.
good thing that 80 year old tractor works with your 115 year old seeder and brand-new plow.
Hi Gray, The engines in those old tractors were some of the most durable ever made. Old farmers say you could use it until it wore out and still farm with it for 10 more years. Good video
I second this - no way are those machines obsolete. They won't farm the super large acreage of a modern farm, but are still plenty useful for smaller outfits (and you see them running still today in my area of the US). Also, the horsepower rating is only one thing to consider - torque and the gearing both matter more in a tractor. Sorry - getting too preachy. Ha! I guess I have a soft spot for these old machines. They were built back when people still gave a damn.

That tractor was made from 1934- 1952, it is a wanna be John Deere A i own one.

Is the yield from the barley the same as the yield from the wheat? I mean to say, do you get as much in weight from each field? Might be something to research. Barley may be worth more, but to you get as much is all.

Grey, I learned from my time as a millionaire Farming Sim tycoon. That when you are harvesting or plowing or cultivating that you should do all of those in a square pattern instead of end to end laps. That way you are harvesting 100% of the time instead of stopping to turn around. "The more you know *shooting star*"

The new plow is hilarious 😂 it's so so so big for that tractor and it flings you everywhere I love it
As of version 0.59, the first tractor was nerfed on the equipment it could use. I'm surprised the upgraded plow was allowed to be used with it. I bought the upgraded seeder from the vehicle store in the northwest because, at the time, it was easier than plowing that drunk's field and fixing his 2 greenhouses. Now I have to save up the euro's to buy the next tractor if I want to use my new seeder. The starter seeder requires too much IMO.

PUT YOUR STUFF AWAY GRAY! Leaving it outside ruins its effectiveness. And finish repairs. You get 20,000 social points for it.
can you harvest a field in which you havent bought? because theres loads of them and i havent seen anyone try it so im curious

Gray you should REALLY try Automation. It’s kinda like car mechanic sim except it’s more car building than car repairing. And it’s pretty fun.

Grey you have to plow deep in there and then you have to yank the tractor then you have to spread your seed deep in there

Flipping the plow keeps the furrow on the same side so you have only one trench on the end of the field.
