MSI released another HDMI 2.1 monitor that I haven't really seen anyone cover, It's the MAG281URF. It's listed at $699 and apparently supports the full bandwidth of HDMI 2.1 and has a really wide color gamut. It looks really promising and at a reasonable price. It's only HDR 400 but at that price I wasn't expecting it to be anything special with HDR.
@@BainCustom It seems like a great price for a 4k 144hz display. MSI seem to be a reliable brand too. I've tried their 32 inch 4k display and it was really impressive.
Do you think this would work better with my 4090 or 6900xt? I really appreciate the dual gpu testing. No one else thinks of reviewing it with both brands of gpus. Great way of testing outside the box.
I have Two of these monitors, I just stopped by to see the review. Motion and color is gorgeous and it’s insanely bright but the HDR just a tad bit but you can fix that by changing some quality settings in the NVIDIA Control Panel. Also I’m using 3090 with a 7950x3D
you should do a review on the new Asus vg28uql1a if you haven't yet! I just got it I love it amazing picture! I did have a pretty bad monitor before this one the Asus was a huge upgrade!
I appreciate that feedback. I'll put it on the list for the next few monitors. I am hearing nothing but good things or people interested in the monitor. GG's! Glad the upgrade is working out well.
Please post the G70A color settings for console. I remember you said you'd post them in the comments a few weeks ago. I been waiting anxiously for you to drop those specs. Please don't leave me hanging.
Oh for sure. Yes you asked, I was late to the drop on them. But I did add them to the video description for the full length video. It should be on the console video too.
When you look at Scepter's website and look at the IPS displays this one is on the list but when you look closely you see that it is actually a VA Panel.
@@BainCustom you’re very welcome. It’s definitely a very huge competitor to the best 1440p curved display. Personally I think it’s better than the G7. Benq doesn’t disappoint. Also check out the Benq EX3210U. As of right now it’s literally the best 4K HDMI 2.1 monitor on the market right now.
LG GP850 is always good with the Nvidia Gsync compatibility. Or GP83B. I hear razers monitor is good, but expensive. Samsung and Asus also have Gsync certifications that will pair well. But if you want budget options you may have to do without the Gsync seal of approval.
16 local dimming zones is NOT even close to true HDR (too much blooming). The Vesa Certified Display HDR specifications for any monitor are absolute BS, anyways. I will pass on this monitor, but thanks for another in-depth review.
I mean, I agree with the certification part. Look at all of the TV's that are "HDR" spec. There are tons of models that won't give anywhere near 10-bit color depth and still get certified.
Just snagged one myself. Loving it so far.

Thanks for shouting that out! I did see that and have been tempted to check it out. Should I pick one up?

Oddly enough, I resolved my screen tearing issue with my Nvidia 4070 turning Adaptive Sync OFF on the monitor and just enabling gsync
Also, just adjust monitor brightness, contrast and color vibrancy up in Nvidia Control Panel, fixes the brightness issues in HDR
You are suggest that AMD free sync is a better technology for dynamic games than G sync ?
I think it depends on the monitor, gpu and the game. It highly depends.
You should check out the Benq EX2710r
It's on the list now! Thanks for the input 👊

Do you have an Nvidia recommendation at 32 inches?

First :)
Finally!
Can this be mounted vertically?
