Here in Poland we talk a lot about both Wars and this is very hard topic, but with something like a song it's a bit easier to remember things and understand it.
Grateful for this and your teacher! Memory can fade away that's why we can use certain tools like music in a classroom to better understand things that can be somewhat boring!! A bunch of my coworkers have a hard time with this. Oh well, you can't win them all. I used to play the song Stalingrad from Sabaton when I talked about that battle. I realy like it's mood and hardness! Another wretched moment in human history but a very important part of WWII. The history of Poland in WWII is one of the great tragedies of the last century. I'm sorry glad you decided to do the double reaction dude. That was so epic and respect to Poland and their rightful pride in such an epic historic moment
I was at that Woodstock concert, under that flag. I didn't see, I didn't care :) One of the most patriotic memories I have. One of the best memories I have. It makes me tear up everytime I am reminded of this experience :D

I saw that Sabaton posted your reaction video to A Lifetime of War(Swedish Version) the other day. I might have suggested that it would be great idea if they hired you to be on their crew for a North American tour. It would make me a happy fan all the way around. You are amazing Tank

Thanks four your time and energy for this channel, and welcome to the awesome world of Sabaton!
I was at that Woodstock concert. I was on the right side of the stage under the flag. It was a surprise for the band and we were so excited that I don't even remember the actual song. The crowd was insane, too
⭐Hey Tank. This was HUGE! and to top it off btw the 1st & 2nd songs my Dad rang me, so the video paused. Born 1930, now 90!, he's a huge WW2 geek. I told him about your video. He was so blown away. Knew of the story of course, but didn't realise that the numbers were 40:1. I'll try to send him the video. Just epic reaction. I think, besides me, there were lots of viewers crying. It's so moving. SABATON ROCKS. Thanks for the double treat Tank.👍🤗💖
@TankTheTech I have never heard of Sabaton either and after listening and seen the reaction you did for Bismarck and 40:1, DUDE !!! I'm soooooo hooked and I blame you, lmfao. Keep up the good work.
Damn! What a treat. All doubles this round... Two stages, two tanks on stage, double Tank reaction... Man, this band is so awesome and energetic live. But I'm wondering how they keep the two stages in synch like that?!?!? Must've been a lot of practice hours... Oh and did you know Hanne... never mind 🤣🤣🤣
"Swedish Pagans" with Cellist Tina Guo from the same Wacken Set is also amazing. A realy fun song for Woodstock would be "Butterfly Defect" by Kontrust.
Sabaton's performance of Uprising at Woodstock is equally as epic. The song is about the Warsaw Uprising in 1944, and the crowd goes just as nuts. Definitely recommend.
Yes, you gotta react to Uprising live at Woodstock Poland too... In fact, you should make it a double feature and also watch Uprising live in Warsaw (Great Tour). The crowd in both versions is f*cking INSANE!
Great to see them all together., they sing well together as well My favorite version of this song is live at Woostock. Poland loves Sabaton and this performance is probably one of the best I've seen ever from any band. Period.
Yes they do have more than a 100 in the touring party. A physio-therapist that looks after not just the band members but also everyone else in the crew. They also have their own catering crew traveling with them so they get the food they are used to, any time they want. According to Sabaton's Great Tour 2020 vlogs it takes about 4 hours to set everything up on stage, and you need to have a lot of people to get it done in that time. Start rigging at 8am, everything up and ready for first soundcheck around 12.30-1pm. Tank - While it probably would be very interesting for you to have a look at the 2020 vlogs (lots of pre-show, backstage footage and band members goofing around in general) you can not do that. There is at least one or more song mixed in as background music in every episode and you have not reacted to them yet. I'm sorry to be the one to give you bad news like this but that's the way it is. Cheers / B.
I've mentioned "Final solution" and "Price of a mile" before, and I'll stick to those as my recommendations, mainly because of the much heavier topics that most people, and even history teachers, shy away from. That for me is why Sabaton is worthy of the respect they've gained.
The comment I once read, which sums up Sabaton perfectly in my opinion: "Sabaton makes you patriotic for any country they sing about" I.e Polish people cheering to "Ghost Division", which is about the German Wehrmacht
Another excellent reaction ... and thank you for making me aware of Sabaton (your Bismark reaction). From the same concert I would highly recommend their "non-set list" song ooo-OOO-ooo Swedish Pagans with guest Tina Guo
About my 15th time watching your reaction to this song and 397543 time listening to this song. But I swear the most impressive part of this show was when the crowd sand the polish natinol anthem. Goosebumps for days
Awesome video once again. I really hope you get the chance of seeing them live. Saw them 150+ times and was never disappointed. Also they're very close to their fans even when they grew bigger
Considering you mention history classes, if you have any interest in the history behind the events that inspired Sabaton's songs, and are interested in hearing a couple of anecdotes from the band themselves about writing or playing the songs in question, I highly suggest checking out the Sabaton History channel, assuming you haven't done so already. I'm not sure if it would be something to react to, necessarily, but they put together the story behind the songs in a condensed and interesting manner, and some of the band anecdotes are funny, inspiring, or just plain fun to hear. EDIT: Just got to the 'second half', looks like you have looked into them! Great!
Loving your reactions, it's great to see such a unique perspective on some of my favourite bands performances. Sabaton in particular, I'm not even ashamed to admit they make me cry. First time I heard Price of a Mile I sobbed.
that concert in Gdansk was amazing. The Archbishop gifted them a sword from the treasury of the church of Poland. Like it's my first time hearing something like that.
There’s a video that follows on from the Woodstock one where the entire crowd sings the polish national anthem after 40:1, man you’ve got to see that it makes the last performance in this video all the more spectacular
Oh, every time I see them, I like them more. Awesome band, amazing music, unbelievable production, and about this last part, some people never notice until someone point all the stuff you know. Thank you for that. For everything, I'ms so happy watching you and Chase, and Julia. Maybe I've watch every single reaction channel in UA-cam, but definitely, Chase and you, along with Julia and some others (just a few, really), are another kind, not only for your true reactions, but for that extra that your intelligence, knowledge and experience can give. Those advantages make you Top notch channels. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Amazing reaction, brings back memories to the Wacken gig, probably the best gig I've been at, well worth the massive sunburn I got on my head from spending the whole day at the front barrier😀😀😀
The plan was for Poland to hold Germany for two weeks; France would invade Germany from the west, followed by Britain. France and Britain wussed out. Poland held for FOUR weeks even after the Soviets invaded on Sept. 17th.
Watching many of these reaction video makes me realised I've been utterly privileged to have been there in the crowd at these gigs - having been at Wacken 2013, 2015, 2017-19 and been there for Sabaton & nightwish plus many other bands. The two stages was epic to see, but am glad we picked the stage we did, as we had the band playing on the Faster stage all the way through. Those that stood in front of the Harder stage only had the video screens to watch for the first half of the show. For me - the Wacken 2013 sabaton set was the best, then 2019 then 15 Sabaton won us over from the first time we saw them take to the Bloodstock stage in 09 as the first "signed" band of the day after the fan voted unsigned act "Uncle Rotter" opened the main stage. Sabaton's half hour set blew us away and we've been fans ever since (the set is on UA-cam) Plus Wacken is such an iconic festival - and has so many songs written about it (JBO - Wacken ist nur einmal im jahr, Doro - Wacken Hymn, Skyline - This is W:O:A, 30 years, Onkle Tom - Auf nach Wacken, Grave Digger - Wacken Will Never Die, UDO - Heavy Metal W:O:A) plus several films
woops - Sabaton didnt play wacken in 17 - it was 15, on the Hero's tour - plus put on "noch ein beer" fest for the German fan club the week before the Wacken show
I was lucky enough to see these guys live a few years ago - what amazed me now and back then was even in the smaller venues like the one I was at, they actually seemed to be able to take into account how the music would echo back from the walls and adjust their soundmix appropriately, it took the music up to a whole extra level for me - but I would still love to be able to get to see them at a festival! - what I also loved was not only was their music on point when I saw them, but they were genuinely enjoying themselves and just having a good time up on stage :)
oooúúú ! I had a birthday yesterday ! :DD niceee , thank u a lot Tank :)) in 2012 in Pilsen. Czech Republic on Metalfest firstime heard this song - insta goosebumps
Live the reaction, love the song, love the crowd! Ithink Sabaton might be the only band that can play 40:1 in Poland and then play Ghost Division about Romel and the german tanks division.. and the crowd loves Sabaton music even if it is about old enemies.. thats so cool
I first watched a few of your videos today and I already feel like you deserve a LOT more than 40k subscribers. Your insight is very impressive and I feel like I'm learning a ton about what goes into a stage performance other than just the music. Stuff I never really knew about or didn't know to appreciate well enough. I also love that you're getting into my favorite band of all time. I was lucky enough to get to see Sabaton when they performed in Finland last year and it was and still is one of the best performances I've ever seen, and I've been to see the likes of Iron Maiden, Metallica and Nightwish. If you ever get the chance to go to one their live performances, you'll be in for a real treat. With covid, who knows what the future holds, and when the live performances can go full swing again, but I think there's no harm in being a little optimistic. Stay healthy and keep doing what you're doing. Content like this brings relief into otherwise depressing times. Thank you!
The song that got me into Sabaton, to this day just amazing listening to it everytime. I love Sabaton and their productions. Saw them twice, one time a few years ago in Glasgow(Scotland) in a small/medium club and earlier this year(when shows were still a thing) in Oberhausen(Germany) in a big Arena. Both shows were absolutely amazing and I recommend to everyone to go see Sabaton whenever it's possible.

Sabaton organize an own festival every year at Falun, their hometown. And they‘re always the headliner of course :). Footage from that festival could be also very interesting for you.
A couple things I wanted to say: 1) Did you realize that you were headbanging so hard your camera was shaking? You missed how the Polish flag suddenly looked like it was boiling when the chorus started. 2) Love that you went to the Sabaton History for the song after reacting. My favorite part of that video is the comment about not being able to leave the country alive without playing 40:1 when they tour in Poland.
One more epic song from same Woodstock is uprising song. Another cool production is live from London song about Osowiec fortress. Big thank you for what you are doing
We've been lucky where we live and have seen Sabaton live 4-5 times now in the last 7ish years, even on the smallest of stages, their show is still hands down one of the most energetic and fun things I've ever been too!
Huge in every way. What a band. No better way to get people interested in military history. Sabaton is a gift to the world. Poland rocks. Nationalism for the win!
It's absolutely fantastic that you did this back to back reaction to these 2 great performances of this fantastic song. All the thumbs up one can give. People covered by the flag don't care and go even harder
Great video, both videos are great, so it's a well deserved double reaction. If I'm not mistaken, the singer Joakin is of both swedish (of course) and polish families, so he surely relates to the pride the polish people must feel listening to it.
Sabaton has been growing fast the last years and their production has just gotten bigger every time I see them. They just become more fun each time I see them live. Imo, they're one of the best live bands around currently. The old Sabaton members that played the on other Wacken stage all play in the same band; Civil War, which is very similar to Sabaton, except they're not as big yet :P I recommend checking out Swedish Pagans next, it's the one hymn that everyone starts singing between every song, even the band. They also had Tina Guo playing cello during that song at Wacken.
Another banger! I'm pretty sure this is the performance where the entire audience started chanting the national anthem immediately afterwards, it's also on video somewhere :)
@@PeTTs0n88 if memory serves me right Audie and Walther are correct Audie for Audie Murphy, the most decorated american soldier of WW2 (Song would be "To Hell and Back") Walther for Walther Wenck, ther german general that didnt followed Hitlers orders in 1945 and instead saved civilians from Berlin and the 9th army form the advancing soviet forces (Song would be "Hearts of Iron")
So glad you did both videos, I think both deserve reactions for different reasons - and you don't get the very same thing twice :) Like the second T-shirt too
It took a while to warm to Sabaton because of their subject matter, but they're so catchy I love them now. Bonus learning stuff I would never have thought to look up myself.
Real talk, if I were able to be at that show, I probably would've been ugly crying while headbanging during this song too lmao. I got into Sabaton around 2008-2009 when my brother showed me the album The Art of War and fell in love with the band. I've since seen them 8 times since their first US tour when they were still a 6 piece. One hell of a special moment right here! 🤘
I remember my first song from Sabaton. Panzerkampf. A friend of mine showed them to me shortly before the release of Carolus Rex. Been my favorite band ever since. My favorite song from them is and will always be "Hearts of Iron". Shiroyama and Last Stand are close seconds. But the song above all that gets me and my friends pumped, is Swedish Pagans. I have wrecked my voice more than once singing along to it, both at their concert and at home with friends.
That's why i love this band and is still my favorite band of all time for me , they spara no expense to make it a good show for us and I mean WHOLE crew of sabaton 🤘. a fan should always give a band the best crowd experience as possible (what i think )and also pay the respect and thank the bands crew if you see them🤘🤟
No Tank, THANK YOU for your reactions! Its really awesome to hear you talk about the bands gear and to read the fact notes that pops up. Love it! And I got another double reaction you could do. Both Amon Amarth and Sabaton have done a song called Twilight of the Thunder God. Would be nice to see a comparison between them, if you could find any videos of the song. Thanks for doing what you do!

pure joy in yer eyes man! Keep dat Sabaton coming!
Yes! Glad I can discover these bands with other people.
Hahahahahaha. They're probably all on the same In-Ear Monitor system so they can hear everything in real time.
@@TankTheTech This makes so much sense...
This is very good version, but Tank for your owne enjoyment watch the performace from Woodstock Poland 2012..
@@mrryden25 ...you didn't watch the whole video did you? XD
@@mrryden25 just a suggestion: watch the video to the end, and comment after that...
You are to me one of the best reactors of all....honest...interesting...and so thankful. Tjank you
Thank you so much!
Ur welcome 😊
I just turned on the bell for the very first time for anyone here on UA-cam Tank. Your reactions are that great :)
🤘🤘🤘 Thank you so much!
Because we don't ask how many enemies there are. We ask where they are. Best whishes from Poland Bro.
Period.
thx tank finally somebody reaction 2 40:1
Cheers / B.
When he said what time it was, it was exactly the same time that I watched it and it was eerie.
Hahaha. Nice!
Sabaton is such an amazing band to watch live! Thank you for this.
Great energy in Woodstock when they played 40:1 and Uprising!!! Wild! Thanks for showing that video 👍
Also they're very close to their fans even when they grew bigger
a good one is also SABATON - Night Witches (Live - The Great Tour - Leipzig). Great song and awesome production specifically for that song
One of my favourites!😉🤘
Also the story around it is very special.
Great!
🤘🤘🤘
Loving your reactions, it's great to see such a unique perspective on some of my favourite bands performances.
Sabaton in particular, I'm not even ashamed to admit they make me cry. First time I heard Price of a Mile I sobbed.
that concert in Gdansk was amazing. The Archbishop gifted them a sword from the treasury of the church of Poland. Like it's my first time hearing something like that.
There’s a video that follows on from the Woodstock one where the entire crowd sings the polish national anthem after 40:1, man you’ve got to see that it makes the last performance in this video all the more spectacular
I love their old drummer. It’s like if Animal from the Muppets was a real person. He’s livin his best life.
Hahahahahaha
17th.
The band as it is now along with the band as it used to be....what a fucking POWERHOUSE!!! If you don't get chills listening to this you ain't human
Yes! Finally! Next do swedish pagans from the same show
Watching many of these reaction video makes me realised I've been utterly privileged to have been there in the crowd at these gigs - having been at Wacken 2013, 2015, 2017-19 and been there for Sabaton & nightwish plus many other bands.
The two stages was epic to see, but am glad we picked the stage we did, as we had the band playing on the Faster stage all the way through. Those that stood in front of the Harder stage only had the video screens to watch for the first half of the show. For me - the Wacken 2013 sabaton set was the best, then 2019 then 15
Sabaton won us over from the first time we saw them take to the Bloodstock stage in 09 as the first "signed" band of the day after the fan voted unsigned act "Uncle Rotter" opened the main stage. Sabaton's half hour set blew us away and we've been fans ever since (the set is on UA-cam)
Plus Wacken is such an iconic festival - and has so many songs written about it (JBO - Wacken ist nur einmal im jahr, Doro - Wacken Hymn, Skyline - This is W:O:A, 30 years, Onkle Tom - Auf nach Wacken, Grave Digger - Wacken Will Never Die, UDO - Heavy Metal W:O:A) plus several films
woops - Sabaton didnt play wacken in 17 - it was 15, on the Hero's tour - plus put on "noch ein beer" fest for the German fan club the week before the Wacken show
I was lucky enough to see these guys live a few years ago - what amazed me now and back then was even in the smaller venues like the one I was at, they actually seemed to be able to take into account how the music would echo back from the walls and adjust their soundmix appropriately, it took the music up to a whole extra level for me - but I would still love to be able to get to see them at a festival! - what I also loved was not only was their music on point when I saw them, but they were genuinely enjoying themselves and just having a good time up on stage :)
Great reaction! Sabaton-Carolus Rex, live in Stockholm, The Great Tour, is also really good.
Thank you!
Thanks a ton! Much appreciated!
The choir adds so much to this show. They make everything sound epic when they jump in.
Came across this channel by coincidence during this sh... pandemic - thx sooo much for your videos - so much fun, to see your reactions. :-)
Thanks a ton!
@@TankTheTech Thx much for the like :-) I think, your channel makes it sooo much better to get through these hard times - and yeah - I agree with you about "I have to see this band" - maybe this will be comin' true in the future :-) All the best from here in germany, keep on rockin' :-)

That’s another band who’s name I’ve heard a ton but I’m not familiar with the music. I’ll check it out!

“Ridiculous” is a fitting word in the best of ways. This rendition of it and the Woodstock Poland show of it are both off-the-charts in energy.
I've seen a few reactions to this song. I'm only here to give a shout out to this man's beard
I’ll take it. 💪
Oh man I actually went on a Sabaton live binge again after watching one of your reactions. Nice to see you going through the same videos!
Sabaton organize an own festival every year at Falun, their hometown. And they‘re always the headliner of course :). Footage from that festival could be also very interesting for you.
@@alexdide Was not aware of that! I'll have to check that out. Thank you
With this song and Uprising, Poland has a lot to be proud of.
A couple things I wanted to say:
1) Did you realize that you were headbanging so hard your camera was shaking?
I was there at that concert and it was AMAZING! You will definitely love their show =)
I love how hyped everyone under the flag is!
Kippis from Finland. Sauna, beer and some vodka. great way to catch up with the Tank. Have a great weekend dude!
Great video, both videos are great, so it's a well deserved double reaction.
If I'm not mistaken, the singer Joakin is of both swedish (of course) and polish families, so he surely relates to the pride the polish people must feel listening to it.
Tears.... I saw it. Go for "No Bullets fly"... Then watch sabaton history, Then listen again and there will be even more tears.
Thanks for doing both of these live versions. They are both amazing!
The Sabaton song I am most in love with (most I'm in love with a bunch of their songs) is Primo Victoria. It comes slamming in and it doesn't stop.
I was at this concert! Front row right stage. I freeeaaaked the F out when the old members came on! Most epic moment I have ever seen.
Not even going to try to suggest a tune, ANY one you do of them will be awesome. Great job Tank for the double-play.
Sabaton the voice of Polish Patriotism
Niestety... jeśli wiesz co mam na myśli...
You need to listen to 'Uprising' Live, that crowd just takes over completely at times.
Sabaton has been growing fast the last years and their production has just gotten bigger every time I see them. They just become more fun each time I see them live. Imo, they're one of the best live bands around currently.
The old Sabaton members that played the on other Wacken stage all play in the same band; Civil War, which is very similar to Sabaton, except they're not as big yet :P
I recommend checking out Swedish Pagans next, it's the one hymn that everyone starts singing between every song, even the band. They also had Tina Guo playing cello during that song at Wacken.
Sabaton - Uprising from Woodstock is also amazing! Also a song about Poland.
Another banger! I'm pretty sure this is the performance where the entire audience started chanting the national anthem immediately afterwards, it's also on video somewhere :)
They did! I watched that afterwards but didn’t include it cause the video was long enough already. Haha
I understand that! Though I'm sure we are many who could watch you react to Sabaton stuff all day! Have a great weekend!
Epic band, epic song, epic videos, epic reactions, nice one Tank!
NIce Shirt. Its fun exploring this songs with you for the first time :)
Sabaton in fact has two tank/drum risers. One's named Audie, the other Walter.
No way. Hahahaha
I remember that they had a real tank for one of their concerts :-)

Isn't it Audie and Murphy? Anyway, that drum riser weighs two tons...
@@PeTTs0n88 if memory serves me right Audie and Walther are correct
Audie for Audie Murphy, the most decorated american soldier of WW2
(Song would be "To Hell and Back")
Walther for Walther Wenck, ther german general that didnt followed Hitlers orders in 1945 and instead
saved civilians from Berlin and the 9th army form the advancing soviet forces
(Song would be "Hearts of Iron")

Love the surprise double reaction! Cool t-shirt BTW, I want one of those.
So glad you did both videos, I think both deserve reactions for different reasons - and you don't get the very same thing twice :)
Like the second T-shirt too
It took a while to warm to Sabaton because of their subject matter, but they're so catchy I love them now. Bonus learning stuff I would never have thought to look up myself.
Excellent reaction 🖤👍
Uprising or Winged Hussars are also great songs 🖤🤘
Greetings from Poland 🖤
Real talk, if I were able to be at that show, I probably would've been ugly crying while headbanging during this song too lmao. I got into Sabaton around 2008-2009 when my brother showed me the album The Art of War and fell in love with the band. I've since seen them 8 times since their first US tour when they were still a 6 piece. One hell of a special moment right here! 🤘
Dude, I’m not even Polish and it hits me. Super powerful stuff.
That's why i love this band and is still my favorite band of all time for me , they spara no expense to make it a good show for us and I mean WHOLE crew of sabaton 🤘.
a fan should always give a band the best crowd experience as possible (what i think )and also pay the respect and thank the bands crew if you see them🤘🤟
Loooove Sabaton! Thank you for this!!
