Finally soneone noticed floor's voice in the credits. I've seen So many reactions of this song. And so many didn't even watch the credits. That's just one reason why you're making the best reactions in my opinion. Love your stuff. Greetings from germany
Knowing that Floor is married to Sabaton's drummer, I had a very strong feeling she was singing the duet at the end and I was right. Floor Jansen is a magical, empathic creature and I'm very sure Nightwish would have disbanded if Tuomas had not made that fateful call to her that day because there were no other singers waiting in line to join the band.
@@dieseldog00 I totally agree with everything you said. Her voice is beyond anything i heard so far. She was the best choice and i hope she belongs in this Band forever.
In fact Elizabeth in her channel The Charismatic Voice also recognized Floor in this song. I highly recommend her video. It is also a super great video reaction. ua-cam.com/video/AYYztsqhqWw/v-deo.html
@@firstclaw1 Yes I watched this video several weeks ago when I saw Elizabeth had posted her Reaction to it. I hate war and all aspects of it but this video is outstanding and the acting is phenomenal. I thought the piano in the trench was quite humorous but where else could they have put it, up top where it would have gotten bombed and shot up??? lol
With the right crowd this will be epic .... and imagine in perfect case, Floor comes out at the end and do their thing ..... it must be like an religious experience
@@oliverdonder7616 probably wont happen, mainly cause Nightwish is scheduled to be on tour during the same time. + the recorded version on the album actually doesn't have her vocal part
The underlying piano melody in this song is "Carol of the Bells" and it really gives the song that special Christmas-y vibe that will make people want to listen to this around Christmas. Brilliant song and outstanding video production! Goosebumps and tears assured every time.
I’m glad I wasn’t the only one who noticed “Carol of the Bells” in there! The other two reactions I watched noted the melody was very Christmas-y but failed to recognise that it was actually “Carol of the Bells,” specifically. My favourite carol. This is _easily_ one of Sabaton’s best songs, hands down!
I think this is the only Sabaton video I've ever seen where Joakim isn't wearing sunglasses. And honestly...it really drives home the emotion they're trying to convey. The Christmas Truce was a moment of shining humanity in an incredibly inhumane war, and this song really tells the story well. I can't wait for the rest of the album.
at around 6:38 you can clearly see tears start rolling and I'm not even judging. That is definitely a powerful song with an emotional history. To top it all off, since it is a Christmas song and you should spend time with your family Hannes brought in his Wife for the endcredits. And it was totally worth it. Would the song work without Floor? Yes it would but it is still a great touch. Also I think you are the first that even recognized Floor from all the reactions I saw up to this date
I held it together until the end, when the candle illuminated the phrase 'Lest we forget'. A real hammer blow. Stunning production, as always, and the choir near the end made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. Like you say, that part will be massive in live performances. And to have Floor singing vocals on the end credits is the icing on the cake. These guys just don't do ordinary.
I was hoping Floor's sister Irene was singing the duet with her but she wasn't mentioned in the credits. You would think Floor could get her for the duet but maybe Irene didn't want to do it. If I ever meet Floor I'll be sure to ask her why.
@@ranekeisenkralle8265 I think you possibly don't understand what I'm trying to say. By my comment I mean that Sabaton are extrordinary, ie. all they do is exeptional, and definitely not ordinary. Hence my comment they 'don't do ordinary'. It's most likely a language thing.
@@phils866 i understood precisely what you meant to say. My remark, however, was meant to convey that with Sabaton "ordinary" is not even part of the vocabulary.
when you mentioned the audience participation factor, in a flash i saw someplace like wacken, with an endless sea of fans shoulder to shoulder, arms around each other's shoulders hollering in unison 'and tonight we're all brothers, tonight we're all friends!' see it? holy shit this is gonna be big.
I love the subtle changing of tense in the chorus from the first refrain ("We are all") to the last two ("We were all"). It shows how optimistic and hopeful the soldiers were during the first Christmas of the War but by the end of it and in subsequent years, that hope was gone forever. Masterful writing.
I'm French coming from Lyon (which was the kind of headquarter of the resistance (with Jean Moulin) during the second war, my family was involved in the resistance and I lost my grandfather there. Now he has a public children park with his name in Lyon to honor him. Unfortunatly, I never knew this courageous man, but I'm proud to have his blood inside me. I can imagine people around there that have families and receive stories about this Christmas episode during the Great War. This is so epic, I can't see this video without having tears in my eyes. Thank you Tank for this reaction
Two things I am looking forward to after listening to this. 1. When they find the right crowd this song is going to be epic when performed live and 2. Floor Jansen had better perform in at least one live show with Sabaton!
As far as I know, that outro with her was just for this music video, and isn't in the actual release of the song, so I'd say it's doubtful unless they closed with this song or did a big interlude or something. But it'd be awesome, that's for sure!
I guess it’s no surprise that they paid close attention to the little details, since, you know, Sabaton, but holy shit. Aside from a certain drummer’s piercings, I didn’t spot a single anachronism in the guns and gear everyone was wearing. They even had Tommy wearing the period correct blue and red French uniform of the early months of the war. Also, as a side note, this is the second Sabaton song on my Christmas playlist. Screaming Eagles is a Christmas song. Fight me.
@@HALberdier17 You are correct those events did happen 5 days before Christmas but at the same time it was within 5 days of Christmas. I myself at least do see the events that unfolded in the sky that day as it's own little (PROFOUNDLY smaller scale) early Christmas truce of the second world war.
@@jimforehand7571 The timeline fits to be sure, but the song doesn’t really make any mention of it. I’m using my executive power that I totally didn’t make up a second ago to provisionally declare No Bullets Fly a Christmas Song, on the understanding that the Yarnhub video be offered as explanation if required.
@@gatling216 True but in the yarn hub video it does say it took place on December 20th and in Screaming Eagles I do believe the exact quote from the song (and this is off the top of my head) is "Christmas is drawing near".
Just to let you know, Tank: Tommy’s band, Majestica, did a Christmas album last year that’s based on ”A Christmas Carol” which is the name of the album and recently, they released a new single called ”Glory of Christmas” for a extended version of that album. Oh and that album is so good. I really recommend that you listen to it
I've watched this video multiple times and always with a tear in my eye. Just pre-ordered the earbook, and i'm already sitting on two tickets for March 31st in Munich where I will be going with my son. Not to take anything away at all from this production and the team, but you should have a look at the credit roll of Rammstein's "Deutschland". That credit roll is long enough for them to stick on a piano cover of Sonne at the end.
I was at the premiere of the song and i was so stunned on how emotional and how much of a banger is. Reminds me in some way to the lifetime of war as both as banger and both say a very sad story, one showing the cruleness of the www1 and how the christmas truce was a breathing moment for all, all being friends and brothers in that day.Lifetime of war was sad because it portrayed how the caroleans knew that their coming home was incertain. Kudos to you Tank and Sabaton
I was at the premier as well, it was two a.m., I had just finished some homework and I saw that sabaton was premiering something so I started watching it. After the song had ended, I took a shower and I just started crying, I don't cry easy, it takes the death of a friend or family member to make me shed a few tears. I was bawling in the shower at 2 in the morning... I still get misty eyed hearing this song. This song is the only Christmas song I'll allow in November because it's a reminder that our humanity is what unites us. To everyone who reads this, be kind, and take care of each other. Thank you Tank and Thank you Sabaton!
I envy you! I would have probably cried like a toddler hearing this live for the first time, totally embarassaing myself lol. Probably I will, when finally I get to hear this on a concert live.
I think that one of the things I really like about the song and the video in particular is that while they focus on the feel-good moment of the truce, they don't pretend that there isn't an inherent tragedy to it because it does end and they're going to go right back to killing each other. Really good storytelling.
Can't wait to see them live in Stockholm the 5th of March next year! I hope they'll play "En livstid i krig" once again and damn, I'll sing together with them!! This song (Christmas Truce) is such a fantastic song and imagine being the real Hannes in 1914, climbing up from the trences.... THAT GUY HAD BALLS!! And Floor in the end, tears and goosebumps!!
You and me both man, It'll be my first post-COVID concert. Then it's Rammstein time in Gothenburg in the summer. And fingers crossed, some Maiden and Nightwish in there as well. Yeah I'm having a bit of abstinence.
OH MY GOD YES the part where they drop the instruments is AMAZING and a HUGE audience participation!!! Just got back from seeing them in Seattle. Hearing the entire crowd singing just about brought a tear to my eye. Anyone on the fence about seeing these guys while they are in the US for the tour DO IT. It's an amazing show. This was the first concert of any kind I have been to, if I could have only gone to one in my life I thank God it was this one!!
I just love that the production credits includes EVERYONE no matter the job they did. From talent on camera to technical assistants to physical labor of creating the scenery to the frickin' catering crew. I love Sabaton with all my heart
Never been involved in any military conflict myself but i cried the first time i saw the video and i cried again watching this video. It touches me so deep withing and i ask myself "why do we have to fight eachother?"
"... not American Football, the original football." Jung, dafür liebe ich dich :D thank you for entertaining me through this pandemic, I spend so much time with your videos during the lock down last year. Thank you! Cheers from Germany
19:20 It most definetly will. We have "Heavy Christmas" consert every year in Finland. It mostly means traditional christmast songs revisioned into metal.
"some of these guys didn't speak the other's language ..." In 1990 during Desert Shield we were moving our tanks via truck to a distant location in Saudi Arabia. We had offloaded the tanks and were waiting around when a APC pulled up filled with French soldiers. Neither of us spoke the other's language but we used sign language .. one French soldier points at a big oil stain on the vehicle and told us .. "BIG SH*T" .. that was all the English he had. We traded rations and smiled a lot.
I won’t lie that I’ve been waiting for this topic/song to be made for as long as I’ve been listening to sabaton. I started listening to them when they released Bismarck and I’m so glad they were finally able to do the Christmas truce the justice it deserves!
my english is very Bad, for that i am writing in German. Bitte mach weiter so.
Hello Tank Unfortunately, war is as old as humanity itself. Sabaton repeatedly emphasizes that they do not want to glorify war. Rather, they would like to use your songs to point out the many, many senseless victims of the war and thus ensure that they are not forgotten. In my opinion, this video is a milestone for that. History shows that far too many had to die for the insane ambitions of a few. It shows the madness of war. For me, the key message of the video is "WAR IS BULL SHIT!" Greatings from Germany
Waited for Roadie Reactions to cover this vid before I watched it, and it was worth the wait. The song broke me when I first heard it, and yes, the video did too. This album is going to smash shit like a brick.
Just a passerby whom has never seen your channel before, but your reaction is definitely my favorite by far. This song is so heart-wrenching and you're so clearly affected by it at the same parts that make me teary-eyed. Sabaton is an awesome band and I enjoyed this video very much! :)
I’ve been waiting excitedly for your reaction to this 🤗🤗. It has blown me away, had me crying laughing and rocking. Two of my great grandfathers were in the trenches at this time. My Scottish one wrote home about his experiences and hoe surreal and heartwarming it was. Some soldiers swapped addresses and kept in touch after the war. Sadly my great grandads and a great uncle were killed in the trenches, my Scottish one received a posthumous distinguished conduct medal for saving an officer minutes before he himself was killed. I loved how this song and video made me so emotional and told a personal message. Love to you and your family xxx P.s the cross is just outside Ypres in Belgium and was placed in 1999 on the 85th anniversary of these events.
Good song, and a good review - Thanks Tank. It will be interesting to see how they do this during concerts, if Joakim will play the piano or not. It wouldn't surprise me if he actually does that, because as you probably know - or not - Joakim started in Sabaton as the keyboard player, who at some time was asked if he could do some singing too. According to himself (that story is told on the Heroes On Tour DVD that is about the concert with the half a million crowd at Polish Woodstock, a rip of it can be found on YT) his singing was crap but he kept doing it anyway. A bit down the road he heard the lads in the band talking about getting a new keyboardist and Joakim was saying "Hang on a minute now, I am playing the keyboard here". "Oh no no" said the lads, "You are the singer and we need a new keyboardist in the band". Cheers / B.
Thinking about it a bit, I think Joakim came in to the band with a couple of songs in his luggage and the band wanted him to sing the lyrics so they could "get the feel" for his music. / B.
@@theblazinken3501 I remember that! He's also criticized his own singing quite a bit. He may not be a professionally trained singer, but his voice *fits* Sabaton's music.
No matter how many times I see this, I still tear up during that sequence with Par and the cross. Also, check out Screaming Eagles. Another incredibly well-produced Sabaton video and a badass song.
This song is the first song to ever put me in tears, because like you said, just imagining what it was like in their shoes, it is very emotional, touching right down to the soul, Sabaton puts a lot of time into there sounds, every song is top of the line, I love all their songs,
It really happened, at several places, completely due to the soldiers, much to the chagrin of their leaders. This I think is the most important song released in 2021, in any genre. It's true and it's the message all humanity needs right now: that our humanity is more important than our differences. That it's inspiring and beautiful is just the icing on the cake. Even the credits are beautiful, good catch Hannes!
A cross was put up on one of the battlefields that the Christmas Truce of 1914 in 1999 in memory of that incredible event that happened 85 years ago. The Cross still exists today where you can go and see it and remember those incredible brave and heroic men from all sides in WW1. LEST WE FORGET 💂♂️💂♂️💂♂️💂♂️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🌹
In the uk a couple years ago there was a sainsbury advert for Christmas that was the Christmas truce football game it tugged on everyone's heart strings its such amazing event
I've heard this song maaaaaany times and I never considered myself to be overly emotional, but every time I heat this I get some tears in my eyes. These guys have my deepest respect. Not just that their music is great, every song is a history lesson, they stick to the facts, unbiased. Education at it's best. I would recommend every history teacher played this music to students, thay would definitely be more interested in history. This is the most complete package I've ever heard and seen. Music is just great, their delivery, the story, video is just off the charts. WOW! I ve never seen a music video like this. BTW, I'm a cinematographer.
This song is very powerful, but at the same time the piano, phoenetics and the lyrics make it super emotional. I always get chills and feel like I want to cry.
Really liked your reaction. Great song, fantastic video and of course you recognized Floor's vocals. I've actually added this song to my playlist with heavy christmas songs 😄
Wow, what a powerful video! It gave me goosebumps and made me tear up, especially the chorus without instrumentation. And the piano being destroyed? Wow. Just wow. And then seeing the cross. More goosebumps. Thank you for reacting to this video and introducing me to this group (I did go and preorder the CD)! Your reactions are definitely some of my favorites!
They are definitely great at using the stories from history and provoking the emotions through their songs. The video and sound production is just insane also which is what we have come to expect from Sabaton.
When i first heard this with headphones on, the first couple lines, especially when it opened with "Silence, oh I remember the silence!", it seemed to echo, as if i was hearing it in my own head, not out of my headphones. The subtle audio work they do is always amazing and catches me off guard every time.
Sabaton has DONE IT AGAIN!!! I have watched only a few reactions to this MV so far and EVERYBODY has recognized Floor's finale'. This is AWESOME! Great reaction, Tank!
Both Nighwish and Sabaton are kicking of their European tour’s in Norway, soo looking forward to big live performances again and… I have tickets to both of them, how great aren’t that.❤️ Great reaction bye the way, loved this one. Thank U.
Swede here who love Sabaton. Have seen that video SOO many times. You catch the emoutions of it so spot on. Cant wait to here it live and feel the power added by the audience :)
Regarding the ban on Christmas truces in subsequent years: if I remember right, part of the story about the Christmas truce is that many of those soldiers refused to fight each other once hostilities resumed. Not sure if that's 100% true, but I was always told that it's part of the reason various militaries haven't allowed a Christmas truce since 1914.
I mean, can you imagine how difficult it would be to just start shooting at each other again? The enemy was no longer dehumanized. They weren't just a mass shooting at you. They had names, faces, families, they were *people.* They thought they were the good guys as much as you thought you were. Neither of you really knew why you were fighting when the man on the other side was so similar. Even if you didn't speak each others' language and there wasn't someone who could translate at hand, the mere act of coming together without fighting like that makes it so, *so* much harder to go back to fighting. They *empathized* with one another.
@@PyroDesu Absolutely. "I played football with that guy, we had drinks and showed each other pictures of our families. He's my friend now; I'm not gonna shoot him." Not to mention that the first world War was such a mess of convoluted politics that many of these guys probably didn't fully understand why they were there in the first place. Many were really just kids (18-19), who'd enlisted because they thought war would be exciting, and/or because they naively believed the propaganda that "the enemy" was A Threat To Our Way Of Life. Seeing that enemy up close, talking to them and realizing that they were just regular people with many of the same hobbies, goals, and fears as you have, must have been deeply jarring for these young men.
And my God, not many Sabaton songs make me catch some feels, but this one is it. Being a vet myself and the fact that my great grandpa fought in the trenches of ww1, grandpa fought ww2, and uncle that went to Nam, another that fought in the golf war, and a brother that fought in oif, I can't help getting a little emotional watching this music video.
I teared up a bit when I saw this video for the first time. It feels like such an important song. I really hope they play it on their tour next year. Being part of a crowd singing that chorus will be a powerful moment.
What always impresses me is not simply that they go over the top in production, but that they strive to get the small details right, they care about it and pay attention. In this video it's the uniforms, they are on point for 1914, both sides. It's plainly a video (French and British together, long hair, and such) but nevertheless they stay as true as possible to historical accuracy where they are able. A lot of games, movies and TV shows could learn from this - even when telling a fictional story you can put in the effort to get the little background historical details accurate, Sabaton does, because Sabaton cares.
They also got the rifles down right, No.1 Mk. III SMLEs for the British, Lebel 1886s for the French (don’t think Berthiers were in use yet), and Gewehr 98s for the Germans (though I would expect to see some Gewehr 88s still)
This song is one of my favorite Sabaton songs (top 3). My grandfather fought in France in WWI. He was 16 when he volunteered in 1916. He never spoke about it. This song never fails to make me tear up. This and “1916.” The war to end all wars. I wish. FACT: On the Eastern Front truces were tried, but because the Julian and Gregorian calendars are three days off Christmas didn’t occur on the same day. Unarmed Germans coming out of their trenches were taken prisoner by the Russians who thought the Germans were either mad or cowards.
I haven't seen the end of this video yet so I don't know if you touch on it but that Christmas truce cross that they show the candles next to at the end is actually real. You can see it in the middle of an empty field in Belgium which was primarily where the British soldiers were fighting on the western Front.
Great reaction Tank! This song and video will bring a lot of new fans to Sabaton Floor Jansen’s vocals add something special to this song. LEST WE FORGET.
Besides being just an awesome song and video, it’s also a heck of an earworm, I listened to it a few times on the day of release and I’m humming it all day ever since, it has not jet left my brain 😅
This music video is so much more impressive when you do your research on the events and notice how many little details they have managed to fit in such a short music video. I have recognized a lot of the names in the credits were Czech:)
I was so happy to see Antti Martikainen mentioned. I feel like no one knows who he is but his compositions are incredible. Definitely worth checking out

I'm so very impressed by this song/video. The sound and imagery got me right in the feels. I'm close to 40 and this reminds me how close I'm build to water. The crying over this went, but the goose bumps stay.
I love your videos and reactions! There are alot of reactions of Sabaton songs. But you are over the top, a real pro! Even my wife that usually dont look at reaction movies, she really like you too! You are awesome! Have a nice weekend 😊🇸🇪🇺🇸
Got to be honest your reaction was very similar to my own dude. Sabaton are unlike any other bands out there that tell stories of history of war in music ways that no other can. From start to finish this song is so magical in it's own way but when the chorus starts I vision myself with you or with Sabaton and everyone else all celebrating on Christmas Day with others as we're "brothers" and "friends" no matter what nation we're from whether we're from Britain, France or Germany. I also see the song as a double to celebrate Christmas but also in celebrating Remembrance for the fallen who didn't return but also remembering those who celebrated December 25th during wartime.
My boy Tank came through with the Christmas Truce! Thanks for this man, I am in love with this song. Most new Sabaton songs I have on repeat but I cannot stop singing and listening to this. Its beautiful. Also thank you for reminding me who Hannes is married too, I am constantly forgetting. 🤣
This song is majestic. Just watching it after finding out about your great great grand father man, now I know this song must hit you different. Great reaction man. I think a lot of us shed a tear with this one.
I thought No bullets fly was the most emotional thing I've ever seen. I was wrong! This is the most emotional thing I have ever seen or heard. Nightwish is already very emotional, but what Sabaton delivers here is out of this world. On top of that, you're one of the few reactors who recognized and praised Floor! Respect Tank. Keep it up!
Yes song touches the heart and soul, tears streamed here also. Epic song AND video. The candle at the cross made me very aware of the real event. And of course voice of Floor topped it. Greetings from Holland. Thx for the greatest reaction
Thank you for another fantastic Sabaton reaction. Dang, missed the premier by about an hour. So stoked to experience Sabaton live for the first time Germany in April next year.
This song, with this video, about this story, particularly now leading into Remembrance Day utterly breaks me. It's intense. Album is already pre-ordered....

I started to cry almost at the same part you did, knowing the story made no difference. A huge show of humanity in the middle of the bloodiest war ever, really heartbreaking.
I'll repeat the comment I left on the original: I jokingly said once that I wanted a Sabaton Christmas album...This is perfection! This past spring I was playing Sabaton in the car with my sister, and she thought one of their songs was going to be "O come all ye faithful," and the thought Joakim singing Christmas music tickled my brain. I knew THIS song would have me in tears before the first chorus was over, the moment I saw it. Although, no joke I absolutely would not mind a whole Sabaton Christmas album. Also...I see wonderful Finnish band Lordi on that tour poster...I HIGHLY recommend you check them out...their song "Hard Rock Hallelujah" is a good one to start with.
16:09 "Trench Builders supervisor - Petr Minařík" ... That's apparently a job in 2021? That just feels unreal :D 19:29 Cultured people already have "Screaming Eagles" on the Christmas music playlist(as Battle of the Bulge happened even over christmas) - if "Die Hard" counts as Christmas movie, Screaming eagles do count as christmas song.
Great song, great video. Fun fact: In the video credits, I stumbled over the last name in the stunt crew section - turns out that I happen to know that guy, Jan Beránek. He was our jump master at Aero Club Plzen, where I had a reunion jump camp in 2018 and 2019 with my old army buddies (We were Paratroopers in the german army, 32 years ago...). Jan is, amongst other things, a professional stunt man.
A sad note that is often forgotten is that before the Christmas Truce was the disastrous 'Winter Operations'. This was an offensive launched by the British to capture German trenches and to stop fraternisation over Christmas. Overall it was a disaster with many British deaths and casualties and barely no land taken. During the Christmas Truce many of the bodies buried where off men who had died during the Winter Operations.
Sabaton: "We need a very good soprano singer for the end credits of our new song."
Hannes: "I have one at home."

I thought the piano in the trench was quite humorous but where else could they have put it, up top where it would have gotten bombed and shot up??? lol
This is going to be a hell of a live song. I can almost hear the crowds singing along.
I'll never manage to keep up with Ms van Dahl-Jansen
With the right crowd this will be epic .... and imagine in perfect case, Floor comes out at the end and do their thing ..... it must be like an religious experience
@@oliverdonder7616 probably wont happen, mainly cause Nightwish is scheduled to be on tour during the same time. + the recorded version on the album actually doesn't have her vocal part
Getting pre-emptive goosebumps just thinking about it!
I like the thought of that. Not sure they are going to play that song when I am hopefully going to see them in April though.
Thanks, I knew it was, but I didn't know the song title.
It’s actually Ukrainian Christmas folk song called schedrivka.
Thank you! I knew that was a Christmas song but couldn’t remember the name, you just saved me some headache 😅😎
It reminds me little of Orion’s Reign’s version of ”Carol of the Bells”.
that was the legendary Floor on the ending vocals
I think this is the only Sabaton video I've ever seen where Joakim isn't wearing sunglasses. And honestly...it really drives home the emotion they're trying to convey. The Christmas Truce was a moment of shining humanity in an incredibly inhumane war, and this song really tells the story well. I can't wait for the rest of the album.
I think in the video for uprising and livgarded he also doesn't wear them... If I recall correctly.
"A moment of piece
In a war that never ends"
This is just perfect.... :')
"When we celebrated Christmas, we thought about our friends. Those who never made it home when the battle had commenced"
thinking about how this is really a neverending war for basically everyone at that time, this line is just brilliant
That is the line that has stuck with me the most.
at around 6:38 you can clearly see tears start rolling and I'm not even judging.
Those are not the credits, that's the soundtrack version of the song
i was seeing the music video for the 4th or 5th time but was still tearing up myself :)

I have watched this music video a dozen times, and that ending gets me every time
I was hoping Floor's sister Irene was singing the duet with her but she wasn't mentioned in the credits. You would think Floor could get her for the duet but maybe Irene didn't want to do it. If I ever meet Floor I'll be sure to ask her why.
Excuse me? Ordina-WHAT?
@@ranekeisenkralle8265 I think you possibly don't understand what I'm trying to say. By my comment I mean that Sabaton are extrordinary, ie. all they do is exeptional, and definitely not ordinary. Hence my comment they 'don't do ordinary'. It's most likely a language thing.
@@phils866 i understood precisely what you meant to say. My remark, however, was meant to convey that with Sabaton "ordinary" is not even part of the vocabulary.
when you mentioned the audience participation factor, in a flash i saw someplace like wacken, with an endless sea of fans shoulder to shoulder, arms around each other's shoulders hollering in unison 'and tonight we're all brothers, tonight we're all friends!' see it? holy shit this is gonna be big.
if they do this at something like Polen Rocks we might see Joakim burst into tears
It is Czech production and I am proud of that, this song hit me so hard. Šťastné a veselé Vánoce.
Two things I am looking forward to after listening to this. 1. When they find the right crowd this song is going to be epic when performed live and 2. Floor Jansen had better perform in at least one live show with Sabaton!
this would be like an religious experience
Probably during their sweden tour. We love singing along!!
As far as I know, that outro with her was just for this music video, and isn't in the actual release of the song, so I'd say it's doubtful unless they closed with this song or did a big interlude or something. But it'd be awesome, that's for sure!
@@TankTheTech According to the lineup of the album, Christmas Truce is not quite the last song. There is one other to come afterwards.
Seeing how she is dutch, and I'm gonna see them in the netherlands, I have a sliver of hope. But probably not.
Fight me.
I won't argue that in the least but let's also not forget about No Bullets Fly
@@jimforehand7571 Close to Christmas but not on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. It was December 20th.
I really recommend that you listen to it
Me too
I love how Sabaton brings History and Music together. You feel not only their music but also almost the feelings of this time.
Enjoy Munich!

Deutschland from Ramstein is a masterpiece!!! 💯
I agree it shows the dichotomy of endless wars like these two wars were.
I'm 100% sure you'll hear "En Livstid I Krig" in Stockholm. If I was there, I'd sing it with you!

"some of these guys didn't speak the other's language ..."
In 1990 during Desert Shield we were moving our tanks via truck to a distant location in Saudi Arabia.
Ich finde für dieses Video kaum Worte. Wie ich es das erste mal gesehen habe, hatte genau wie du Tränen in den Augen, und dachte darüber nach wie sich die Soldaten damals gefühlt haben müssen. Hello Tank
Unfortunately, war is as old as humanity itself. For me, the key message of the video is "WAR IS BULL SHIT!"
Greatings from Germany
Waited for Roadie Reactions to cover this vid before I watched it, and it was worth the wait. The song broke me when I first heard it, and yes, the video did too. This album is going to smash shit like a brick.
Just a passerby whom has never seen your channel before, but your reaction is definitely my favorite by far. This song is so heart-wrenching and you're so clearly affected by it at the same parts that make me teary-eyed. Sabaton is an awesome band and I enjoyed this video very much! :)
Thank you so very much!
Love to you and your family xxx
P.s the cross is just outside Ypres in Belgium and was placed in 1999 on the 85th anniversary of these events.
He still plays the keyboards in the studio.
"they told me to sing until they found replacement. Lazy bastards never did" - Joakim in Blood of Bannockburn Sabaton History episode
@@theblazinken3501 - Thanks for the tip, hadn't seen that episode before. Well worth a watch, as always. Cheers / B.

First time I watched this I cried, especially studying about the truce beforehand. It was amazing but so sad at the same time. Love this band

I suspect a number of the soldiers on both sides deliberately missed, after this truce.
By the next year Germany was using mustard gas so there was much less sympathy and no truce.
They enforced heavier bombardments and more heavy rotations the following Christmas and effectively cancelled Christmas.
The moment the piano and keys hit, the tears immediately come. Sabaton touches the soul in a way I didn't think was possible.
Thanks for the reaction! We watched it with you! 🤘Also impressed. 💓And an excellent analysis of the song.🤘🤘🤘🤘🇷🇺

Go check with Majestica, Tommy's band. They did an album that is straight up Dickens' Christmas Carol in song form last year.
A song never made me in tears but this ... Im a big fan of sabaton and this allways made me in tears.
This is officially my favorite Christmas song!
many fans have said that almost instantly when they released it! it's amazing to see how this song has touch so many in a very small amount of time.
Thanks for the reaction and praise of the Czech production.
16:09 "Trench Builders supervisor - Petr Minařík" ... That's apparently a job in 2021? That just feels unreal :D
19:29 Cultured people already have "Screaming Eagles" on the Christmas music playlist(as Battle of the Bulge happened even over christmas) - if "Die Hard" counts as Christmas movie, Screaming eagles do count as christmas song.
Few years ago I switched from Die Hard to Hateful Eigth. But it was difficult decision :-)
No way!
@@TankTheTech Yes way! 😉
