What stands out to me is how humble , kind and generous your spirit is and how that shines through the screen. I believe that is the secret sauce to connecting with an audience. You are are a true UA-cam star and my inspiration. Thank you❤️
Same this is a good way to start off, I don't have any editing professional software, or anything to start a UA-cam channel(Have some editing experience but not a lot) So this is a great video since I have simple devices like iPhone, MacBook, iPad. Now I can optimize iMovie and make more professional videos. Im thinking of starting a UA-cam channel and maybe making a few videos to start off. So I am also grateful for this, Let me know how your are doing. I wish you the best.
Ugh! Need lovely ppl like YOU in my life! Such an inspiration.. I finally just Did it! I started my channel. Loonnnnng way to go! Thanks for being here to help us all! Angel 😇😘
bottle cork is a game changer! I was playing around on iMovie recently and I was looking through all of the sounds it comes with and I was like wait a minute...the bottle cork is definitely in TCB channel!
There are some people who try to explain what to do when editing but they might not always be the best at explaining it so it can be confusing. You, however, break it down in a way that's incredibly easy to understand! I love your content and thanks for sharing these tips with us!
I thought you needed Final Cut Pro to color correct and do other things. I thought iMovie just lets you put clips together and ick one of their preset color filters. I think you can only do this inns iMac. I do t see these options on my iPhone.
Thanks for sharing your process! I have been editing for 4 years now, but since I am not formally trained, I am always curious as to what others do. It was nice to know that we gave a few similar procedures, but I will certainly think about recording my own foley-mouse click-sound. Thanks, again. 😀🙌🏾
This video is incredible. I've been working with iMovie for 10+ years. So although I did not learn much, I appreciate how well you've explained everything in this video. You're an artist.
Hey wondering if you might have input with your iMovie background. I have been using imovie with some of my youtube videos. Question for you. I have read that the music from imovie is copyright free. On one of my youtube videos I got a copyright claim on part of the background music I used from imovie. Would you fight the copyright claim? Thanks in advance for your help! 😊
these are great tips sweetheart, i have just started a youtube channel a few weeks ago, i am doing all the recording and editing on my cell phone for now until i get a good camera, the way you allowing the lighting to match is amazing, i will definitely try to implement that among others, great videos keep up the good work.
I have spent years trying to get better at editing and understanding the actual work flow of editing. You have literally given everything I wish I had found as the basis for that work flow. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Thank you, this video was amazing! I've had my MacBook for YEARS and never used iMovie, but I'm really wanting to create personal home videos of my family and didn't know where to begin, but now I do! So excited to play around with this program with the tips you provided 😀
Just goes to show, you don't really need fancy editing software to get the job done. I'm currently transitioning to Premiere Pro after 5 years using iMovie... Questioning my sanity now 😜
Something I find super helpful is to colour correct the clips as soon as I import them before making any cuts, that way you don't have to copy and paste it to various different parts!
@@Kykaii Depends on what you are picking. When you press the plus sign, two options turn up: movie and trailer. You want to pick movie because it gives you a free flow
I never thought about making popping sounds until I watched this video. I got way too excited when I was editing last night and put a couple in haha Thanks!
Thank you. I'm a beginner and I tried the Shortcut editing tutorial along with a friend who is helping me. We tried to follow along , however, that video is for beginners who must have experience as is. I am grateful for the content and I'm not going to give up just yet. I love your Videos.
I’m no professional, but I am not a fan of the breath editing out. I personally feel that it makes the video seen choppy. But otherwise you’re doing great!!
I’ve been using iMovie for 2.5 years for my channel and I didn’t know a couple of these tips! Of coarse I usually to a voiceover but I can still incorporate these. Thank you!
Hey I had one quick question! How to you change the sound of your voice? I know how to do sound effects but what about changing your voice like making it high pitch, low pitchy, wobbly, etc? Thank you so much I luv your videos!
Just came across your videos last night and I’ve been binge watching since 2am. Your very inspirational and I’m more determined to start this YT journey.
You are such a great teacher! I mostly edit on my phone using iMovie and I still could learn how to get better with that, clearly😄. I was so intimidated and frustrated with iMovie on my iMac! You did it again, you are helping me to be a better Creator! Love 💗 Sekhmet SapphyreSun❤️😻🙏🏾

I really love your content - it's what YOU do and what works for YOU and comes across as authentic (unlike others who try to appear at established filmmakers! but aren't!). I would give one tip on your screencast tutorials: drop the monitor resolution to 1280 x 720. This will give a nice large easy to read screen. I watched this on a small ish laptop and it was hard to see what you were doing, on a mobile device it would be impossible at this resolution. only the screencast everything else can be what you want. [I use Final Cut Pro and can zoom in and out, not sure how flexible iMovie is, but a readable resolution works quickly and easily anyway]
