I kind of wish you talked more about Walt and Jessie's characters and the changes they go through in this season. This is the season where their father-son relationship gets stronger (to the point where Walt calls Jesse family), and they trust each other more, but we also see the seeds to their eventual departure and Walt's downfall

Did you notice Saul’s first line when he’s captured by Walt and Jessie “did Lalo send you?” Little did we know at the time….

@KayKo Saul was terrified that Jessie and Walt were sent by Lalo when they took him to the desert at gun point. Nobody knew what that meant, but in Better Call Saul, Lalo is revealed to be a Salamanca mad man (Tuco and Hector’s cousin/nephew. And it shows exactly why Saul is scared of him YEARS later. It’s amazing, and tragic.

I feel like this is an underrated season. I don't think there's any season of breaking bad that people universally dislike, but this seems to be regarded as most people's least favourite season, and I never understood why. The Jane and Jesse relationship is one of my favourite things in the entire show, this season also introduced us to Gus as well as Mike, Saul and countless others. It really set the precedent for the show.

I thought 2 was better than one it had less plot holes but it did have things I didn't like.
Jessie and Jane's relationship it didn't feel like they had much chemistry
Two plot holes that stood out were that Jessie and the water incident. And the whole plane thing.
Planes are beleive it or not but planes are really really extremely safe and are made and are used in ways to minimize death so the planes hitting made me wonder.
      1. Were they on the same elevation
      2. Did nobody check up on these planes I mean on the radar thing if somebody just looked at it they would have stopped it
      3. Planes ping each other if they might smash into each other and it will say I go up and you go bellow so if the planes were in each other's radius they would ping each other just to reiterate
Walter letting his son drink made me think hank what is wrong with you and Walt why. It made no sense I can get him rejecting money because of his pride. But what was this
But overall better than season 1 good season

Season 2 isn’t the best season but it does a marvelous job of setting up most of the major characters for the series in an organic way. It sets the playing field for some of the best moments in television history and that’s why it’s great.

I remember Season 2 as the only one that meandered a bit, so I get what you're saying. That said, it never bored me, even though there was still a sense of the show finding its stride, and some of it is outstanding. Along with the introduction of Saul, Mike, and Gus, there are standout moments like Jesse bonding with the child of the meth-head couple and the whole '4 Days Out' episode. There's terrific development of both Jesse and Hank, and one of the show's most powerful moments when Walter crosses the line of letting Jane die. If I'd been interested before that incident, I was 100% locked in afterwards. Breathtaking acting from Brian Cranston.

Tuco is one of the best villains of the show and hope to see back in the final few Better Call Saul episode. Love the intro to Saul, Mike, and Gus and the way you look you seen that differently after Better Call Saul. Love how Walt and Jesse become closer this season like a father-son kind of relationship. I kinda agree in retrospect kinda, the following seasons were in another stratosphere. But Season 2, specifically the shit with Tuco, is what sold me on the show and sucked me in to being a super fan, and watching in real time on AMC.
I do agree that the plane crash is a little out there. I was married to an air traffic controller for years, the odds of that happening are astronomical. From one lone, distraught controller anyway. Too many failsafes. But is “possible”. But the fact Walt caused it, along with having a beer with the dude, was a little much. 9/10 season still tho

Season 2 has multiple coincidences and things that strain credibility. You mention the plane thing, which is the biggest. But another that has bothered me is the narcocorridos song from Negro y Azul. The video has realistic depictions of Walt & Jesse at the junkyard meetups, but how? I understand that narcocorridos songs are very often based on 100% real events, but who from the meetup would have been around to tell people what Walt & Jesse looked like? I guess there were two junkyard meetups, so maybe Gonzo or No-Doz told someone after the first meetup? But that seems unlikely, because they were both scared of Tuco and wouldn't have wanted to reveal something like that. Maybe Tuco himself told someone? That also seems unlikely, as he didn't have a very wide inner circle.

This is better than S03, both Fuckin' Great but
    S02 - 9.1
    S03 - 9.0
You think things are stupid in Season Two? Well how about Twins that i never took seriously. S03 have great episodes with - 1 Minute, Sunset, and last 2. Even Fly is 9/10 for me.
But it felt off not cohesive on the whole. Like Twins introduced to be killed by Hank, great move by Gus yes but yeah. And after that is done. They introduce a child used by Gus' men and happens to be Bro of Andrea. Jesse's gf. And last 2 eps just hinges on that 1 particulat event of 2 goons using a child, and getting killed by Walt ofc.
Season 2 has Grilled on 2nd ep, then both have to Lie, 4 Days out, then Better Call saul, then Meeting Gus, Phoenix episode and last one is bonkers u know why. But felt a vision from start to finish.
While s03 started and stopped too many times. Walt retires. Then comes again. Jesse same. Dude is in therapy after Jane for half of season. But still 9.0 out of 10, Season 2 better tad bit - 9.1

Ranking these seasons would be so difficult, but I do understand why S2 tends to be the weakest for many.
Over the years I have rewatched BB with my parents, a couple of cousins and a girlfriend, and each time I rewatch this season, I feel like I'm just waiting to get to the eventual last 2 episodes, where Aaron Paul (especially in the crack den scene) really shows us what a phenominal actor he is. And I'll never forget watching Jane's death the first time, Walter's decision, which many believe was the moment he truly lost his soul and humanity, literally caused me to just sit there as the credits rolled, with my jaw dropped, processing what I had just witnessed. That episode alone makes it so hard to rank this season toward the bottom.
With that being said, while S2 drags at times, there are still great moments, particularly involving such amazing chemistry (yes, pardon the pun) between Walt and Jessie. The episode in the desert is maybe the best showcase of that in the entire series. And Walter beginning to let his Heisenberg out, like in the tequilla scene, is always great to watch. "My bottle, my son, my house!" Emmy earned right then and there!
And the episode with the little boy in the crack house? Easily a top 5 episode of the series. It's where we truly see that while for Walt there's eventually no going back, Jesse always kept an essential part of his conscience and humanity, and it's why he becomes the character most of us eventually root for above all others.
Wow, I should've created my own video, a lot of ranting, sorry, but I have a lot of passion for this show and could talk about it for hours!
Looking forward to the rest of this review series!

This week I posted positive reviews for Prey, DC League of Super-Pets, and Vengeance. The only July movie I went negative on was Thor Love and Thunder and that was only mixed negative
...but your take away is that I don't like anything anymore?!?!?

How can u say great written show then whine about character driven episodes as boring. And the plane crash wash about consequences not about flash, and the fly episode expertly conveys this not to mention it leading to Walt fighting his guilty conscience in future seasons which is the whole point of the whole show.

Because two ideas can co-exist: (1) something is well written, (2) it’s not as interesting or more frustrating than other parts of the show.
Not every single episode of this show is as interesting as every other episode. Not every subplot is absolutely perfect. Not every plot point is equally plausible.
More importantly, it’s ok to just not some parts for any reason.
