- Lining envelopes doesn’t have to mean a struggle between bunched-up paper and sticky glue, and you don’t have to measure anything, either. Let’s make some together and share the joy of that “a-ha!” moment.

If you’re looking for more junk journal ponderings…. Last summer, I made a limited-series podcast about all my deep thoughts regarding junk journaling. It’s free on the Spotify app! Search for “Ordinary Paper” or link here:

Note that in the first episode, I mention that I was doing a podcast because I didn’t think I had enough ideas for a UA-cam channel. Things (happily) went a different way, so ummm, never mind on that!

❤Hello Anne! Julie Torrens here!
Thank you for your generous endorsement of my channel. I woke up to many more subscribers all remembering to let me know that you sent them❤❤❤ Obviously you have a marvelous group of followers. I am privileged to get to know them. Again, many thanks.
Now I have a personal question. 😮
What is the cute ladybug on your desk?
Chat soon! ❤❤❤
Julie, I'm just so happy for all the folks who are finding you - because they'll enjoy and learn from you just like I do! And you hit a terrific milestone today - hooray!
The ladybug is a desktop vacuum cleaner, can you believe it? I've had it for years and it's so handy! I'll give it a spin on a video soon so everyone can see it in action.
@@annekenlon 🤣😂🤣😂 Yes!! Seriously, I want to see a test drive! ❤️❤️❤️
Aha! I REALLY like this method. Not least because it also means that if I want to sew the envelope into the center of a signature, I can do that before I close up the sides... Wow, the possibilities... 🥰
Judy, you just shared another great advantage to this method that I neglected to include - THANK YOU for sharing that! I appreciate you!
Great idea, Anne! Envelopes are always useful! And these ones, we don´t have to measure anything! I love! How joyful is the
"a-ha" moment! One more time, TFS all the tips!🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🌹🌹🌹🌹
You warm my heart as always, Mrs. C! Take care and have fun - and thank you so very much!
These lined envelopes are so lovely, Anne. Great creative work, as usual. Glad you enjoyed learning about the napkin-covered bottles. Sharing with you, my sister, gives me great joy! Love, Marge
Thank you, my lovely sister! I loved hearing about your neighborhood artists!
Good morning Ann. Thanks for the tip. Lining an envelope can be so frustrating. ❤
Thanks, Beverly! Yes, I really enjoy making them this easy way. Have fun with your envelopes!
I think this is one of my favorite videos of yours!
I never would have thought to open the envelope to line it!
Or to use glue stick on a napkin.
Thank you!
Thank you so much, Mary! I so appreciate your kind words!
Hi Anne. I loved this. I have used napkins on card fronts but never thought of using them to decorate envelopes. Thanks so much for the inspiration. ❤ 🇨🇦 😊
Thanks so much, Brenda! I was so excited to find a variety pack of pretty napkins at the thrift store recently. I usually just craft with the used ones I tuck into my pocket after knitting group at my friend Peg's house! haha! Thanks for watching!
Hi Anne! I thoroughly enjoyed the easy way that you lined your envelopes! Fabulous idea! Tyfs! PS: I subscribed to Julie’s channel !today
Hi, Barbara, and thank you so much! So happy this was useful. Thanks for checking out Julie, too, I know you'll enjoy her!
Thank for the lined envelope idea. I checked out Julie’s page and I love it.
Thanks, Dayna, glad you liked the project. And thanks for checking out Julie, she's wonderful!
What can I say? Fabulous! What a neat idea, the envelopes look so beautiful when you lined them up. Very nice job, as usual😊 TFS
Thanks so much! 😊 I so appreciate your watching!
Good morning, Anne❤. I love lined envelopes. Thank you for the tip. Going over to Julie's right now. Have a glorious day. Your fan from SC.
Thanks for watching, Brooke, I appreciate it so much! Thanks for your support of Julie as well. Here's to you!
Love these especially the lining and dyed papers. I subbed your friend Julie. Hope she reaches 1000 soon!
Thank you so much! And thanks for following Julie - you'll enjoy her so much, I know it. And she DID sail past that great milestone of 1,000 viewers!
I really liked the tip for envelope lining and making the dyed paper. The use of the old thread spool as an ink dauber handle was a slick idea too. Wild Birds Unlimited is one of my happy places! I could listen to your voice for hours as I find it incredibly soothing. Off to subscribe to new friend Julie’s channel.😊Thanks Anne.
Awww, thank you so much - I'm blushing! I really appreciate your viewing and commenting, thank you!
That bird wrapping paper is so awesome! I use the tie dye spray in a mist & stack method for white paper putting different colors of copy paper in between. The colors bloom organically. I would feel the need to iron the paper if I didn't stack & flip...(the only thing that gets the iron around here is fabric lol!) Julie is a sweetheart, & I would want her to be my nurse too! Have a blessed day.
Thanks, Sonja - that's a super idea about combining different colors of copy paper to "bloom" - love it! I definitely do the spray-and-stack method when I coffee dye (I never bake them!) and I did iron these crumpled sheets from the tie-dye stuff - It all turned out great. Thanks so much for watching, I do appreciate it!
Your ideas are so much fun and turn out to be such beautiful pieces of art! I love how you’re able to repurpose what would otherwise be trash! I am one of the card makers you spoke of being new to your channel! I am excited about incorporating these ideas into my card-making. Right now I’m off to check out your friend Julie Torrens channel!😁💕
Thank you so much, Tricia, and I am thrilled these ideas are useful for your cards! Thanks for checking out Julie, too, she's a doll. Have fun!
I went to Corning Police Academy many years ago. Love the wrapping paper.
Oh, how great! It's just a lovely little town, isn't it? Thanks for watching!
The lined envelopes turned out beautiful. I also subscribed to Julie. Great video as always!
Thank you, Deirdra! I know you'll enjoy Julie's channel as well. She's just so delightful and nice! Have fun crafting, I really appreciate you.
Beautiful crafting Anne. Lovely to bring Julie T. to her goals. Are you watching P.M. artist studios here on UA-cam? She is BIG over there...not sure uf she had products with them I think maybe... CERI G. is also over with them and has products with them too! TFS ANNE! So elegant! LOVE =) B
Hey, hey, my friend! Yes, I know both Julie and the wonderful Ceri are in the PMAS community, but I've not gotten involved with that yet - I know I need to! I also need to order some of their fabulous stencils, they're far and away better than the cheap ones I find on Amazon! BTW, you inspired me to stop at a neighborhood estate sale on Saturday afternoon! Hugs to you!
@@annekenlon OMG ANNE...I love that!!! I hope you found a bargain...I'm getting ready to do a 2 week HAUL...not sure if you are into haul videos...not very crafty so perhaps not...that's just my next video or two. Catch you later! =) B
Thanks for the easy idea … lined envelopes were a struggle before. Also never thought of tie-die dye for paper! I have some from an unfinished project. I did use Easter egg dye this year and that worked great. TFS
Oh, good, I'm really glad you found it helpful! Glad you are using all those leftover dyes as well! Thanks for watching!
Nice. Definitely makes lining much easier. And coloring paper is so fun too.
Thanks, Bette-Ann - have fun making your envelopes too!
🌻☀️ I am inspired ❤
Thank you so much! I appreciate your watching - have fun with this project!
Great method! TFS ❤
Thanks, Connie! I appreciate your watching!
Nice! I see some lined envelopes in my near future! Thanks!
Kristi
Thanks, Kristi! I know you'll have fun with them - they're just so pretty!
Not sure if I'll use this technique for my projects, but I do enjoy your videos.
Blessings 🤗🌹
Thanks for watching, Lynda!
Very easy way to line envelopes yours are very pretty love map one thank you for sharing after Easter you can get egg dye for 10 cents great time to pick up I appreciate it all your videos and inspiration
THEOLA
Thanks, Theola! I thought about getting some on-sale egg dye, but I still had so much of the tie-dye powder, as you could see! (strange, because we tie-dyed a LOT of stuff, and still had so much left over!) Thanks so much for watching.
Such a wonderful idea alsoi didnt know you could decoupage a napkin with glue stick thank you good i deas also may i say i bet you are a fun grama 😊
Thank you so much, Sharon! Do have fun with the napkins - they really jazz things up! (and thanks for the personal comment, too - I must say, being a Grandma is my favorite thing in life! I'm so lucky!)
@@annekenlon I try to be I have done crafts with my 3 grandchildren over the yes such a 😂 joy keep up your good work

Google failed me. No reference to "no needless stooping or spending."
Laurel, I salute your tenacity in searching for that quip! I believe that line came from some late-night infomercial for one of those long grabby tools with a claw on the end. It was so obscure, but we had lots of nonsensical laughs over it back in the day - for reasons that elude me now!
