Hey great video. I appreciate that you displayed the hard side of the top mustache shave I’ve been trying to figure out how can I effectively shave that side. It’s a strange area. Also having the client pull their lip down will help a lot
Does the talc actually help redness? I use my talc first to remove and clean up fallen hair, then after the area is clean i use aftershave. Great video. Straight forward 👍
So much of the classic barbering discipline - meaning the foundational and accumulated body of knowledge - has fallen by and been lost to newer and younger barbers through changes in the market and the loss of experienced teachers. When I got a lot of shaves from barbers in the 70s, 80s, and 90s, they never had me “assist.” They had remarkable techniques for manipulating the lips, nose, and cheeks so the customer never had to stretch, puff or poke their tongue around. Young barbers would do well to find the oldest barbers they can and get as many shaves as they give. In many cases, older and experienced customers can inform more about technique than young or inexperienced teachers. Go out and get yourself shaved by someone who knows how! Then take it to your chair.
Kekuahiwi Hey I totally agree with you that there are more than one way of doing things and that we all can learn from one another! Thanks for the input
Philip Plowman many metals can rust or corrode even in packaging if they’re in a humid locale. Live in Miami? This could happen easily. Live in Vegas? Not so much (not at all, actually).
Diego Alberto Jimenez I do not recommend stropping a disposable blade. They should be used on 1 client and disposed of so they will always be sharp enough to not need stropping.
Diego Alberto Jimenez yes still no, disposable blades are made for just that. To be used and disposed. Even if it’s just for you its not worth the hassle of disinfecting them considering how inexpensive they are.
Dude in the seat was like Bro just cut my hair 🙄😂😂
Hahahaha sooooooooo true 👍
I thought that at first, but then it was apparent that he was focused on being a good "subject" and not attracting unnecessary attention to himself.

sleek razor! which one?
How does a razor blade corrode if it's sealed in the little wax paper guard and stored inside a box, not likely in a drawer?
Philip Plowman many metals can rust or corrode even in packaging if they’re in a humid locale. Live in Miami? This could happen easily. Live in Vegas? Not so much (not at all, actually).
Do you recommend stropping disposable blades from your razor? Or do disposable blades don't need stropping?
Diego Alberto Jimenez I do not recommend stropping a disposable blade. They should be used on 1 client and disposed of so they will always be sharp enough to not need stropping.
@@MrFineLine But it's only for me not a client. Still a no or a yes?

WOW!!!!!! SUPER COMPREHENSIVE LESSON
Mas in tha chair is mad asf he just want a cut
Thats his Client/ goon lol
I don't understand why someone would pay to have their neck shaved like this when it literally grows back the next day or 2.
Probably for a special occasion, like a date or a wedding, something like that.
most people dont charge to much just to do a line up
Client looks scared af!
No need to blow out the cheek. Stretching the skin alone gives you the most control of the area.
