    My favorite thing you do for these tests is the fan for simulating wind noise. No one else does it. It's perfect. Keep it up bro.

    • @MikeWat
      @MikeWat  4 роки тому +3

      Very glad you like the signature wind noise test ;)

    • @movingtargets7833
      @movingtargets7833 4 роки тому

      Well, it is shit. It doesn't properly simulate the outside wind noise as you will see if you get one of these products. Other than maybe airpods and galaxy buds, every single high end bt earbuds suck ass on outdoors voice calls.

    • @blestwynnz6634
      @blestwynnz6634 4 роки тому

      @@movingtargets7833 "outdoor" noise is not the same as wind noise, and the fan is 100% accurate for *wind* noise simulation. Outdoors could have a million different noisy situations beside wind, from trucks passing by to dogs barking or whatever. Those are different sound frequencies that maybe noise cancelation won't be able to block out from the mic. But wind noise can be a huge deal, especially if you live in a hotter climate and have a fan pointing at your face most of the day. Dude that fan test was perfect for me.

    • @movingtargets7833
      @movingtargets7833 4 роки тому

      @@blestwynnz6634 I don't think the fan really simulates even only the wind noise singled out of other outside factors but fair enough. So the point is it would not give you a decent idea on a real life situation which is a windy outdoors environment (while riding a bike for instance) but it might be good for having a fan on most of the time at home like you.

    totally agree. was disappointed with the lack of bass on the Lypertek Tevi so I got the Anker Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro and I haven't looked back. I pitched it against the Jabra 75t, Sony, Sennheiser, Cambridge & others and it was a tie w the Jabras. Given Anker's lower price point, the choice was easy...best performance to price imo

    i went through 3 pairs of these and none of them were without issues. either they came defective and didnt turn on, or they had that horrible hissing noise that has plagued these. wanted a budget pair of wireless earbuds but wasnt worth the hassel. went with the sony wf-1000xm3 and havent looked back. the only feature they lack is a wireless charging case. but thats not make or break.

      My L2P is perfect. No hiss, no defect, no issue whatsoever. And the sound quality is oh-my-gawd kind of heavenly. For me the single most important aspect of a pair of earphones is the sound quality, and L2P just nails it at this price point it's simply unbeatable.
      The only thing I really wish L2P has is audio passthrough. This is the only real weakness of it for me.

    I just bought 75T today at a big discount which comes to even a lower price than Liberty 2 pro
    It is my first TWS and I liked the sound quality of 75T and all the functions and the app are very easy to use and moreover it is comfortable to wear. The case is tiny which is easily pocketable
    I haven't heard how Liberty 2 pro sounds but here some of my observations after speculating for 2 weeks on which one to buy
    Awesome bass on 75T. On certain songs, when the bass drops, it sends tiny shivers down your spine. EQ on the Sound+ app works well and shows clear difference in sound based on however you set it. Also very light, comfortable to wear and doesn't protrude much on the ears
    Sound+ app has multiple presets for all the settings and not just EQ where you can customize Hear through, ANC, EQ etc for each preset separately
    75T allows for full customization of all controls on earbuds which L2P also does but is limited to few controls only
    Has hear through which L2P lacks
    Has ANC which L2P lacks
    Has multipoint connection which L2P lacks
    Has "Find my Jabra" which L2P lacks
    Has auto pause/play feature which I think L2P lacks, not sure about that one
    Call quality is better on 75T
    75T is IP55 rated and L2P is IPX4 rated
    No hiss on 75T but some people still complain of hiss on L2P
    L2P has Aptx which 75T lacks
    L2P has mono mode which 75T lacks
    L2P has wireless charging which is offered on regular 75T also now but costs more
    All in all, considering that I paid a lower price for 75T than what L2P costs at this moment, I think it is a far better value for money unless L2P sounds way way better but I don't know that as I haven't listened to it

    I was skeptical of the Soundcore brand since I've never heard of them and also heard there was a hissing issue when on low volume. I took the plunge anyway after using the Sony WF-SP700N several years. I loved the Sony's, but the battery life was horrible. Died within 2 hours if that. The Soundcores are still cheaper than those, which is crazy and is a fraction of the price of other headphones mentioned in the video by a lot. That being said, the features, sound quality, sturdy case, wireless charging, customization and VERY importantly, battery life is awesome.
    I've never had these die on me yet since they're supposed to go for 6 hrs and I'm never going to have them in my ears for that long. When I'm not using them, they're back in the case or on my wireless charger, so they always have a lot of battery time when I need them.
    I also was skeptical about them in the gym because they do protrude out, but they do stay in because of the wing tips and work just fine. Highly recommended.

    Very interested in these owing to top reviews all round on their sound. However I run zoom meetings, skype meetings, webinars...so calling quality is a key feature for me. So thank you Mike, your excellent call quality comparison is the decider! They are sadly a no for me, sound was horrible in your test (and I saw that noted in a couple of other reviews). I am now favouring the Bose SoundSport Free - I've had the SoundSport regular for a year and have been surprisingly impressed in all depts. Looking forward to your review of those :-)

    With the longest wing tips, the case won't close without having to push down the buds. Once the case is closed, you can still see a gap and sometimes you press the play button in error while fiddling with them in the case.

    -update-
    Also found references to an auto pause feature when taking the buds out of your ears
    Just a note for other viewers and commenters, audio passthrough is planned for a software update. It was noted at the launch event they'd have it and I did some digging in the android apps strings and I did find references so it so the app might even currently have the ability to enable it (I wasn't able to find out how to do it however). Just thought I'd give a heads up on that and I don't know whether it'll ever be actually added as there could be other software issues preventing it.
    Might get a friend of mine to have a look at the app himself as he does some reverse engineering and could probably find out if the code is there and if it's possible to enable it.

    • @blestwynnz6634
      @blestwynnz6634 4 роки тому

      Bro I know this is a long shot since most people will forget about a random UA-cam comment but if you figure something out let us know cause I need passthrough in my life, these do too good of a job isolating me from the sounds around me and that's a double edged blade, as I use these for biking and walking around town. Need to be able to hear traffic. This stuff could save lives.

      Same. I'm not even sure of they have the hardware for auto pause though and all the references to them in the code was in the button controller (which is a weird place for auto pause in the first place) so if transparency is added I don't think it'll be an in-app toggle it'll just be a toggle on the buds themselves.
      Still haven't found a way to enable them in the app yet unfortunately. If you know anyone who develops android apps and knows how to reverse engineer apps and do smali2java stuff I'd ask them to have a look in the app for `a3909_auto_pause` and `a3909_more_transparency`

    This review has definitively allowed me some reference... I will still use your videos for general comparisons of fit, waterproofing, call quality... but not for sound. If you think these sound great, then our tastes are different (which is just something good to know, but not an issue with your reviews or information). If you think these sound like the Sony's... well regardless of taste, that's just objectively wrong. Their frequency response is completely different.
    Thanks for the time you put into these reviews either way, I'm just seeing some red flags as far as taking your sound quality descriptions with a pinch of salt.

    That non-hot swappable issue is a deal breaker for me (Just cancelled my Amazon Warehouse order). A set of £40 Enacfire will just find the next device that it's paired with. Just sold my Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless for this annoying reason. I don't want to faff. Just connect. :)

      Mike Wat the Anker ones I bought had a hiss too so I returned it , so I'm currently in the market for new ones . The Sony anc ones are 165£ cheaper than the jabra 75ts but I require some sort of water proofing for just peace of mind of being outside in the rain .

    AirPods Pro have the best mic quality.
    Edit: the AirPods Pro had better clarity

  • @angrymushrooms11
    @angrymushrooms11 3 роки тому

    I literally just got these.... music quality is average, voice sucks balls, super tinny and sounds like a 1940s microphone. However they are comfortable and are definitely clear. Bass is definitely NOT what the hype claims. I have sennheiser , vmoda , audeze and bose. All of which sound mounds better. Im returning them tomorrow

    • @thatplat1
      @thatplat1 3 роки тому

      This is what I said. I love the L2P's I got, but the hype train is overblown. The bass isn't overwhelming like everyone says. It's good. Not mindblowing. Mic quality is also really bad. You can only use it in a quiet room.

      @@thatplat1 what do you think about the Sennheiser's?

    • @thatplat1
      @thatplat1 3 роки тому

      @@jansojele289 I didn't get them. I have the Liberty 2 Pro's and stuck with them. I like them a lot. They are good, my expectations were just overblown in the beginning.
      I hear good things about the sennheisers though. They are expensive.

    • @jansojele289
      @jansojele289 3 роки тому

      @@thatplat1 Yeah but I'm thinking about the sennheiser cx 400bt, they don't have ambient mode and anc and IP rating
      But their Sound quality is like the momentum 2 that should be one of the best of all the true wireless earbuds
      And here in Italy they cost less than 100€

    • @thatplat1
      @thatplat1 3 роки тому

      @@jansojele289 So the Liberty 2 Pro's have sound quality on par with the momentums from what I've read (and I've read literally everything available. Google ran out of results). The sound is a bit different, but quality wise they are similar, so you may actually like the Liberty's more. I wish you could try them first.
      I don't even notice that I don't have noise cancelling since the seal is really good. I don't mind not having pass-through, since I just take the earbud out. I do like having an IP rating for when my hand is kind of wet and the bud falls out or I need to take it out. It's a nice piece of mind.
      If the price is ok, get whatever you like. I haven't tried the sennheisers, like I said, so I can't say anything about them. Good luck on your purchase, I hope you like them.
